CultureRe: Yoruba History Supported By DNA. The Eurasia connection by lawani(m): 7:53pm On Dec 12, 2015
No one on Earth is purely genetically from one side, Nordic Europeans have some Sub saharan African in them and etc. The Yoruba sedentary culture has been there uninterrupted since the initiators landed from space, there have been people joining definitely as happens up till today which is why almost half of our vocabulary derives from Kemitic Egypt of 5000 years ago. The Eurasian and Nean derthan component was introduced before Nimrod was born over 5000 years ago. The Oduduwa must have arrived during the 7th century. The present calendar is 10059 this year. The sedentary culture was never abandoned but they received people from outside and made them King. The culture and people hve always been there, facing setback now and then but people have always been there

Lamurudu is Nimrod, the first post flood King of Sumeria over 5 thousand years ago. He was no father of Oduduwa but an ancestor. If I landed in 10th century China and they made me King, I would describe myself as a son of Oduduwa because I know it will be traceable in future, not because he was my direct father.

There used to be plenty of food. Fruits, tubers and etc, all growing wild. Even the Yoruba who are settled do go on hunting expedition for weeks feeding off the land. Even now, some people still live like that. Then most sub saharan Africans have the Y chromosome E19B or so. There are many phenotypically white people with this DNA. Many white folks are descended from thesame male ancestor as me but are now white as a result of being Europeans for hundreds of generations. Australian aborigines are dark but are more related to Europeans, they got pigmented after crossing into Australia. Tropical areas directly exposed to the sun produce pigmented skins all over the world. No exception. Temperate regions produce depigmented skins. Please read up about that. You may have darker skin people in depigmented populations and fairer skinned people in pigmented populations but it does not change the overall tendencies. Then blacks can give birth to totally depigmented children called albinos and whites can give birth to Negroes. It happens once in a while.

Oyi means breeze in Yoruba. If I say Fe Oyi is mi. It means Blow breeze on me or fan me. I wonder if you have ulterior motives in redefining the etymology of oyibo which an Ife chief told me. Then you were not there to see a people live in Northern Europe and remain pitch black after 20 thousand years. That is an impossibility. Nature is not like that.Depigmentation is an adaptation to the environment programmed by God, not something you have control over. Then no Caucasian group can stay in the tropics for 500 generations and remain unpigmented. I hope you see the point. The South African region is not like Northern Europe. It is still Africa and the people are Bantu, so you should not expect the people there to be white. There may be darker skinned Japanese for some reasons but they won't be tropical black.

When Egypt was blossoming, there were people in Northern Europe over 30 thousand years before then. So when exactly did they become depigmented? It would have been a gradual process definitely but I Would not say they emerged 7 thousand years ago. I won't say that of the Chinese, Red Indians, Australian aborigines too, mainly because I was not there and looking at those distinctive habitat forged features, it did not emerge that recently.

If you think you look like people of 30 thousand years ago, pigmented or not, that would be patronising yourself. Even a 17th century person can be picked out in a crowd.

On Nollywood, it cant be disputed that it was an Igbo trader that pioneered selling videos on the streets, prior to that we used to watch seasonals on TV stations mainly. What Igbos pioneered is selling on streets and the industry was not known as Nollywood back then but taking it to the streets was a commendable innovation. However proffessional film making was pioneered by people like late Hubert Ogunde, Isola Ogunshola, Duro Ladipo and co. Then theatre artists like Profs Ola Rotimi and Soyinka had worldwide audience, though they were not business men, yet Prof Soyinka got a Nobel prize because of his European audience. These people contributed to film making in Nigeria in no small measure. Hubert Ogunde's films Koto Orun, Aye Akamara remain evergreen cinema classics. Never forget them too but the traders are also important for their daring. Traders who plough their money in can not be discounted. They did for film makers what record labels had earlier done for people like Osadebay, KSA, Fela and etc.

Corn in Igbo language is 'oka'. Isn't corn in Yoruba supposed to be 'agbado' or something? Why are you suddenly ignoring the central yoruba words for these items, which are supposed to be the standard Yoruba words for those items, and claiming the Igbo words as yours?

Please, akamu is not a Yoruba word. Stop this language theft. Agidi also is not Yoruba. In Igboland, there are 2 different types of Agidi, the white agidi and the reddish type called Agidi Jollof. I never liked Agidi for one day but I grew up hearing my grandmothers refer to it as only Agidi. Igbos have just one word for Agidi and Akamu, Yorubas have multiple of them indicating a borrowing of these words into the language. Just as they borrowed wahala from Arabic. Languages often borrow from one another and your people may have borrowed the word from the popular Nigerian usage which comes from Igbo.

Do not let me school you on the seniority of the Igbo civilization over the Yoruba civilization. Because if I am ready, it will take up the entire next 3 pages of this thread.

Yorubas cannot even provide proof that these words are theirs. Most popular soups and food in Nigeria today are all of Igbo origin: Ogbono, Egwusi, Okwuru, Ora, Okazi, Utazi etc.

Or maybe you'll tell me that 'love wan tin tin' (from love nwa nti nti in Igbo) in some Yorubas songs nowadays is Yoruba too? undecided
Yoruba and Igbo were thesame language originally. Dont fret yourself. Oka can also mean maize in Yoruba in oka baba. Ask anyone. A maize used to make red pap. Read Prof Bolaji Aremo's book on how Igbo and Yoruba became different languages. There are hundreds of similarities. Our ancestors spoke were one people who spoke same language. DNA is more or less thesame.

There is a claim that the Yoruba were the first to domesticate the horse. So the word may have originated from here. Then most Hausas were speaking Niger Congo languages in the past.

Abrahamic religions are not from God. Confusion is not from God. However JWs should be commended for having the courage to change their beliefs from time to time. That is moral courage. Jesus and Mohammed can't do that.

When there is plenty of food, no need for farming and you have cattle, then you follow them around from place to place. That is the origin of the nomadic culture. It may be on your own volition and it may be that you were expelled by a sedentary culture. There are many possible reasons. However, a few cultures on Earth have never been nomadic in my opinion and those are the ones who insist their ancestors landed on Earth from outer space. Many Ifa stories are pure embellishments, so I don't particularly believe some white people were blessed and sent forth as some verses in eji ogbe claim. Some people might have been sent forth but normal Ife people not phenotypically different people. That is my opinion though. Then the etymology of oyibo which means white people is oyi meaning climate, weather, breeze and bo which means peel. It means those whom the weather has peeled their pigmentation, so they had to have lived in temperate regions for a couple of thousands of years for that to happen, it can not happen in sub saharan Africa. Your idea that whites are weak is wrong. Remember Vitali Klitschsko, the Emeritus boxing heavy weight champion, the Gaulish people were noted by the Romans for their brute strength. You might also want to say they are not beautiful which is also a lie. Check out their colourful appearance alone. Green, blue, brown eyes. Different shades of hair colour as against negroes who are monotonously black haired and etc.

I used to think that unpigmented skin appeared recently but I don't think so anymore. Nordic people must have been unpigmented for over ten thousand years. What you say might apply to Southern Europeans. Of course there are advantages of being pigmented, unpigmented people too have their own advantages. All are adaptations to the environment. No group can stay in a temperate region for 5 thousand years without being depigmented. All achievements of humans are owned by all humans as we are all descendants of thesame ancestors. Regardless of pigmentation. In the new world, there is a growing nation of phenotypically white Yoruba people who are also descendants of Ife people. These people are more original than the Christians and Muslims in West Africa and may be the only Yoruba in future.

I read an account where an ancient Greek described Ethiopians as red people, now they are black. All peoples were black sometimes. Ancient Europeans as well. Then ancient Europeans quarried huge stones in Scotland maybe 70 ft tall and ferried them to England. How they did that is unclear but there is evidence they did it, so not all of them were nomads. People who become nomads generally become tougher and sack the civilizations of sedentary people building a new on the old. That is the pattern. Also among the Yoruba, someone opined that ancient Yoruba may have been white when they landed from outer space as albinos are reverred as special children of the orisa or as an orisa. In essence your phenotype is an indication of your habitat and not necessarily the phenotype of your ancestors. The Ashkenazi have lived in Europe for over 2 thousand years, so you would not expect them to be anything other than white.

Abraham lived around 5000 years ago when Sumeria was blossoming as a bronze age civilization. Without Abraham exiling himself from Sumeria and Yahweh promising him land in Canaan, nobody will be claiming to be Jews today. Before Abraham was born, let us say that there were at least 1 million people in Sumeria and 2 million in Egypt. There was another extensive civilization in India that was their contenmporary, bigger than Egypt by the excavated cities, let's give them 4 million. There were other civilizations then in the middle east that were independent, then there were people in China, Americas, Europe and all over the world, though not very advanced but mainly nomads. The Yoruba have a calendar that is 10059 this year. So let's say there were up to 4 million proto Yoruba consisting of the ancestors of Yoruba, Igbo, Igala and etc as at then. In all, world population may have been up to 400 million or say 200 million of which Abraham was just one man. Not a King but an exiled man roaming about from Southern Iraq to Palestine with cattle. Just one man of maybe 400 million. Take that into consideration and share the 7 billion world population in that ratio. You have no right to say those practicing the culture of Abraham are not Israelite or Jews. They are the only authentic Jews we know. Others are pretenders, they include blacks, whites, Asians
PoliticsTo Nigerian Leaders- This Is Not Noble At All by lawani(op): 12:53pm On Dec 10, 2015
The GDP by PPP is calculated with the consideration that 1 thousand dollars in one country might equal 4 thousand dollars in another country, consider for instance that there are 4 bedroom apartments in the US that goes for over 8 thousand dollars a month with facilities no better than another flat in Cuba where there are no high brow areas. So at PPP levels, Nigeria is said to have over 1 trillion dollars in GDP, it may be closer to 1.5 trillion, given the fact that there is no way of getting accurate figures for anything in a country like Nigeria. Of this over 1 trillion dollars of goods and services produced per year, less than 80 billion dollars worth is exported according to the books, since imports are paid for with exports, imported goods and services amount to less than that value. At around 2 million barrels of oil a day at 40 dollars per barrel. That is less than 30 billion dollars a year, take 50 percent of that as accruable to government as revenue shareable to all tiers of government. That is around 15 billion dollars a year, the reason for which some individuals do not want the country to be restructured and hence remain in a cess pool of filth for their self aggrandisement where the people will remain at the lowest rung of human development while they themselves live as emperors, the youth scattered all over the world looking for greener pastures. This is not noble at all and no one should be in government to further such an agenda. This is why all lovers of humanity in Nigeria, across the world and right thinking people in general must stand up and ask that the country must change or be disbanded immediately.
CultureRe: Yoruba Origin Revisited by lawani(m): 11:56am On Dec 10, 2015
Abraham might not have been the original name of the man who exiled himself from Sumeria around 5 thousand years ago. I have a feeling it may be from the Hindu, Brahmin, the highest Hindu caste. It is said to mean father of many nations by Jews. Then Abraham originated from Sumeria, he spoke an extinct language which some people say is the ancestor of Tamil spoken in India. It was considered a language isolate because it is not in any way related to the Semitic languages, though it was still known in Southern Arabia in the 1st century but totally extinct today. By culture we may be what our ancestors were but language changes, nations adopt new languages while abandoning the old altogether. So to trace the origin of Abraham's name, trace the man's origin. I believe Sumeria and an ancient Ife were sister nations and the two were birthed by the first Ife.

This is one of the best threads I have found on social media for a while. Kudos to the authour. I believe AI can be programmed to be noble, sadistic or cruel. What lies behind all these is self preservation. Being nice is for self preservation, being a villain too is for thesame reason. If you decide you will never take a life unjustly, the underlying reason is that you do not want others to do thesame to you but in the case of humans, not everybody uses the golden rule of treat others the way you want to be treated. People decide to use variations of it. Animals are better at this rule than humans in the way they treat members of their own specie. If you hold fast to this rule, you are at the highest level possible of consciousness in relation to your own specie. If this is applied to AI. If this power is given to it, it may be dangerous as we are not members of thesame specie and it will treat us the way we will treat, say bush meat.

I agree that humans may best computers in some ways. For instance, can AI perform magic, levitate and etc? Can AI make a divination? It remains to be seen. Magic involves a kind of using an encryption system to communicate with the other world. A totally mind thing. Not matter. It involves reading patterns and you receive the message with any encryption system you have earlier established and consecrated. That is an aspect I will like to how AI will handle.

My friend, I have done just that. I have just quoted Sultan Bello's historical opinions about the origins of the Yoruba, which I don't consider as the best hypothesis despite its historical value.

Sultan Bello likely never went to Yorubaland (nor met an Ifa or a babalawo..) and only know about the Yorubas from what he and his "relations" gathered from Yoruba travellers and Hausa-Fulani travellers. It is interesting but that's it.
The authentic custodians of our history are the Awo through the Ifa corpus, the palaces and the traditional narrators, each lineage and the oriki. If you pen everything in the custody of the above mentioned, wikipedia can not contain it and they are not lies. The so called myths were passed down by humans who were far more advanced than us. Star trekkers. So you may not understand everything yet, later you will but don't discard any part of it. Sultan Bello's narrative too brings an outside perspective that must have happened by way of some of our long lost brothers coming back home but that is not our origin.

The Early Yoruba must know Egypt. Infact, the royal burial place found in Igbo ukwu contained items of Egyptian origin. Some Awos are of the view that the place referred to as Ejigbo, sometimes Ejigbo koro, sometimes Ejigbo mekun is indeed Egypt. Egypt is an English rendition of the name. A saying from hieroglyphics was rendered in modern letters as ibn nfr du bw bn by an European who does not know Yoruba. The saying means 'where we loved became an evil place. In Yoruba it is ibi a fe di ibi bi The Egyptian saying is from around 5 thousand years ago. I think it should be clear the man spoke an ancient Ife language. Then Nimrod is Namurudu is Lamurudu to a Yoruba and that name was not picked from the Bible or the Quran. It is non existent in the Quran and in one or two verses in the Bible but well known in Mecca. How do you think it entered the narrative of Ife people?

I am not buying the fulani tale sir,

you seems to favour Ogun other than Oduduwa, (I know you will find a place for Oduduwa now). Imagine everybody coming up with their version of Yoruba history, then it becomes no history but creative writeup.

It is better to be a medium through which Yoruba tradition come alive than seek to make the icon of history larger than live.

All other men tell their stories on the realm of men, but exactly what the profit would be if our forfathers were magnificient skygods I dont know.

Magnificient tales does not translate to true history, hence I prefer to echoe Yoruba traditions and make relative meaning from it.

I think this is better than being after an idea that need a novel idea and a novel idea and so on to sound convincing to nobody in particular.

Let's allow the traditions to speak for itself, then we can be students of tradition than being the makers of tradition.

If I am to introduce any idea, it has to have root in Yoruba world with closest meaning.
I am not adding anything. I use only facts passed down through the ages. You are the one trying to embellish the history with other narratives that are wrong. Oduduwa was a contemporary of Prophet Mohammed driven out of Mecca in the 7th century, a descendant of Nimrod the first post flood King of South Arabia or Iraq hence he introduced himself to Ife people as a descendant of Lamurudu or Nimrod then they promptly renamed him Oduduwa by using the oracle, the name was after a woman, one of those that landed on Earth in pre historic times. That is the entrance of the new Oduduwa into our history, prior to him, Obas were descended from Orunmila and 90 kings ruled in the present Ife before his arrival, since his arrival, 51 kings. Ogun is the most popular deity across Yoruba land, Obatala is the most respected.

What figure did they used to mark the days, month, years and centuries it covers? I don't buy personal imaginations for history.
The point is that the fulani are too new a people to be listened to. What they know about sedentary culture, they learnt from Hausas as against Yorubas that have been living in cities from the beginning of time apparently. Having state officials whose sole duty is to preserve history and pass it on to the next generation. This is the main difference between Yorubas and Igbos. Igbos too have been sedentary all along but no organisation to finance the meticulous transmission off history. You can't have all that and then surrender it to the narrative of a Fulani whose grandfather was a nomad.

I am not an expert on the Yoruba calendar but you can google it up to learn more. Then Ogun is osin imole being the one that led the others down to the Earth. Orki is Ogun Laakaye Osin imole meaning Ogun the one who brought prosperity to bear on Earth, the first Imole. The task was difficult, he eiither wore red or was bloodied on the way and he used something appearing as fire to land, remember it was a chariot of fire that whisked Elijah away. A kind of UFO

The most ancient people were not primitives as we think. Recently it was established that the rocks in stonehenge were quarried in Sotland and ferried to England. Those are rocks as tall as say 7 storey buildings. We still have no idea how the Egyptians built such huge pyramids and etc etc. I pointed out earlier that the ancient Yoruba were aware that our Earth is spherical. They were star trekkers. They instilled it in their descendants that Osupa laye The Earth is like the moon and etc. Humans are going to be star trekkers in future, so humans were star trekkers in the past. No new thing in the universe. The Ife calendar is the oldest in the world 10059 this year, older than the Sumerian calendar of Southern Iraq, though Sumerian records claim Kings that ruled for tens of thousands of years before a certain flood, the Ife people existed too before the inauguration of the present calendar. The first Ife can be anywhere on Earth surface but an Ibn Yarub, a Muslim was not the founder of the Ife people. Obatala was the founder of the first Ife, there may have been thousands for all we know, the last group holding on to the tradition are the Yoruba of West Africa though people joined from all over the world. That is the Yoruba perspective, no need to let a Fulani man who learnt from a Hausa who learnt from an Arab and etc to mislead you. Ife story was passed down from the first generation to the present. No interruption.

For thousands of years that people lived in cities, there was no religious superiority or inferiority complex or fascism but there was often a practice of organising spiritual practices to control the use of magic. The Druids did this among the ancient Gauls, just like the Awo does among the Yoruba. The Druid and the Awo were monks, a highly trained and spiritually enlightened class in Gaul and Yoruba land. If an Awo met a Gaul and divined for him, the Awo is likely to ask him to appease some Gaulish deities or do some Gaulish oros, even if the Awo will also refer him to other entities like Ogun, Osun and etc. Same for a Druid divining for an ancient Ijesha man. It is this kind of liberal mindedness and receptive nature of our ancestors that cleared the path for the demonic entities of Abrahamic religions to seize the floor among billions of people resulting into hundreds if not thousands of God established human cultures being almost totally eroded. After thousands of years of spiritual tranquility and harmony on our planet, then in came the RELIGIONS. A demonic attempt to put a ceiling on human development and progress. First, Christianity, then Islam.

There is some flimsy evidence that Jesus was initiated into an Orunmila like cult in the middle east, a cult that originated from Kemitic Egypt, even the Jews as a whole have some traditions that point to such connections, and a connection to Kemitic Egypt ultimately ends up in ancient Ife, traditions like the use of the ephod for divination which may mean ifa odu or odu ifa, David which is the name of their most popular King is same as Daodu which is the Yoruba rendition for prime male child. Jesus was referred to as 'the word' just like Ela in the saying Ela loro and Ela ascended into the sky according to Yoruba folk lore and is being expected to return just like Jesus Christ is being expected by Christians. Another striking thing is Jesus calling the Apostle Peter 'the rock' which means Apata in Yoruba. Apata is basically thesame word as Peter.

There is a practice among the Awo of learning ancient languages and I will not be surprised if Jesus was trained by some mystics who knew some words originating from ancient Ife, in thesame way Catholic priests know Latin today, a dead language that was used in the past but which is no longer in use as lingua franca anywhere today. Then the Awo in Yoruba land insist that Orunmila travelled worldwide to teach people the rudiments of Ifa divination. Some may want to say that Ifa odu, Daodu, Apata, Moremi and etc were copied from the Bible by the Yoruba but I believe no one will take them serious.

All what has now become fascistic Abrahamic religions are perversions of the peaceful and liberal practices of ancient people across the world, the perversion of the practices of our ancestors. For example, some ancient Kings in Rome, Greece and Kemitic Egypt were typically designated as sons of God just like Jesus is today and also after the fashion of present Obas among the Yoruba who are reverred as 'igbakeji orisa' meaning second in command to the orisas. It all patronises these people as semi divine when they are in fact only human like the rest of us.

Judaism is also a perversion of atheism because saying only one God exists to be worshipped is not much different from saying no God exists and none should be worshipped. If you say the US President is the only US citizen worthy of respect, then you will be making a grave error, the kind made by the Jews, by Akhenaten of Kemitic Egypt before them and today by Muslims and Christians. Among the Yoruba, deities are proliferated. Personal, family, national, universal and etc.

Furthermore, Abrahamic religions are extreme perversions of Judaism for saying the Supreme being will burn people in hell for worshipping any other entity. It is like saying the US President will punish you for respecting senior US citizens. Really sad.

What is now the way out? I believe the best way out is to return to the old ways of all nations being theocracies but strictly under a universal God who is a gentleman. All mad Gods who burn people in hell for unbelief, not facing Mecca to pray and etc should be banned in all serious nations as a means to forestall the impending apocalypse. Any decent belief should be welcomed in any country but we must not make the mistake of welcoming any belief whether reasonable or not under the banner of political correctness. This is the mistake made by our ancestors which us the descendants are yet to recover from. Christianity and Islam should be singled out and banned once and for all. Spirituality was an integral part of all governments in the past under a chief Priest. It ought to return to being so again. There used to be an elite class in all cultures that transmits the body of ancestral knowledge from one generation to the next. The Druids in Gaulish Europe, the Awo among the Yoruba and etc. It ought to become like that again. Such an elite group should be the group vetting what should be spread or not as spiritual knowledge in any nation and there is no need to spread the gospel, those who want knowledge should go after it themselves.

Then after that, various other races used to land on Earth, one was named the Nephilim and were mentioned in the Bible. Genesis 6 1 to 4. Ifa is full of references to people coming from Orun.
PoliticsI Will Not Assent Social Media Bill- President Buhari by lawani(op): 9:24pm On Dec 07, 2015
I won't assent social media bill- President Buhari.

Can this mean President Buhari has changed from the General Buhari of 1984?. I seriously doubt it, because what could have made a grown man of over 40 years append his signature to a decree as obnoxious as the infamous decree 4? A grown man and not a kid!. It will be a real phenomenon for such a man to change at over 70 years, because adults don't change, they are what they are. They become a clearer version of what they are. However, the real issue is that President Buhari may be a dollar billionaire who posed as a poor man to garner votes from the unsuspecting masses. A dollar billionaire whose only visible business is just around 200 cows according to Chief Okey Nwosu. Over 800 people were killed by his irate supporters thinking they were fighting for a poor and honest man. These were humans like us, young people, apart from the innocent folks his government executed with a retroactive decree in 1984, not to mention other embarrassing shortcomings. These are the reasons President Buhari ought to resign as President immediately if he was a billionaire while telling people he is a poor man. That is the only honourable path left for him, not him telling us how he will not assent to the social media bill.
PoliticsPresident Muhammadu Buhari And The Rest Of Us by lawani(op): 9:11pm On Dec 07, 2015
You can't teach an old dog new tricks, so President Buhari is and will remain thesame as General Buhari. General Buhari as a military officer was involved in a series of coup detats, but the one in which he played the most prominent role was the one he led which sacked the second republic in 1984 when he was a G0C. An officer under him reported the coup to him when he got wind of it at the stage of planning but General Buhari locked him up until the coup was executed and the second republic truncated. On becoming the head of state, one of his first few actions was to cancel the metro line project which Alhaji Jakande's government of Lagos state had already part paid for to the tune of 50 million dollars. Lagos state government lost that money. Considering that a brand new peugeout car cost less than ten thousand naira in 1984 but up to four million naira today, we might say the lost down payment is worth more than 20 billion naira in today's money but this calculation is without factoring in over 30 years of inflation, if we factor in inflation, the value of the money will skyrocket. If we say the FG should make thesame percentage of total present cost of the metroline that Lagos made in 1983 as downpayment, then maybe the required payment may cross the billion dollar mark today. Lagos state should move to recover this money from the FG in whatever form, since President Buhari was representing the FG at that time. He has been drawing pensions as ex head of state of Nigeria for decades, so Nigeria is liable. Lagos should move to recover this money. If not for the General Buhari coup, Lagos would have a metro line today and transportation in the city would have been much less stressful. If Lagos had a metro line, Kano would follow, so would Oyo, Rivers and etc. Nigeria would have been much different. So it is easy to see what Nigeria lost. I have to add that if a Yoruba President stopped a project in such a manner in Kano or Enugu, I would immediately lose all respect for him. General Buhari's truncation of the second republic was a major setback for Nigeria, just like Major Nzeogwu's truncation of the first republic. President Buhari removed a government but turned mainly on opposition politicians, hounding them into jail. Most of these people jailed were honest politicians. People like Pa Ajasin who had only one house that he built as a school teacher was jailed purportedly for corruption . General Buhari set up tribunals to try him and one military tribunal after the other discharged and acquitted him but General Buhari kept him in prison nevertheless. Another was Vice President Ekwueme who came out of government poorer than he went in. He was kept in Kirikiri and etc. Some politicians of the ruling party known by all to have corruptly enriched themselves were handed over to the government on being arrested by civillians at the airport in Lagos but they somehow escaped to appear in London after a few weeks. Such was the anti corruption crusade of General Buhari during his first coming.

General Buhari superitended over a government that decided that people who tamper with NEPA installations and telephone installations be executed by firing squad. Tampering may mean repairing your own connection. Above all, General Buhari's government executed people with a retroactive decree for an offense that carried a few months imprisonment as punishment as at the time it was committed. I remember telling someone that the only commeasurate restitution for this is execution, but President Buhari as so far gotten away with it and his other many wrongs. He did all these in the full glare of the public and with no remorse just like Adolf Hitler of the German third reich. I don't know which is worse, doing wrong in the full glare of the public or hiding to do it. Now, if you were President Buhari and, Lagosians, friends and relatives of Pa Ajasin and etc come to ask you to be their leader, will you accept the offer? A person who reflects deeply will quickly nominate another person, but President Buhari accepted the offer. 50 million dollars down the drain for Lagos in 1984 money, many unlawfully detained with some of them dying as a result and etc. Nigerians voted for him including all members of my own family, believing his claim to be a poor man who for all his years in the military as head of state, out of military as PTF chairman may not be worth even one million dollars. People voted for him believing he has only 150 cows and maybe three houses. He further heightened the euphoria by promising to publicly declare his assets and make all his appointees do thesame. Now, a media house has reported that Mallam El Rufai of Kaduna is worth 90 billion naira, he threatened to sue them, the media house maintained the claim and we have not heard anything since. We hardly can do anything about that since it is not customary for our politicians to come out and declare their assets. They will be embarrassed and we will be embarrassed. This has been going on for decades. However, General Buhari promised a change and got elected based on this. If he does not keep to the promise of publicly declaring his assets, then he did obtain votes by fraudulent means. In the main time, people should stop the talk about his honesty, integrity and etc. There is no longer any basis for that but the real deal is that he ought to resign as President if he can not publicly declare his assets as promised. That is the only honourable path left to thread. That is the minimum for him to achieve any kind of legitimacy. To cancel out your wrong is not by praying to God as many may think. It is by restitution and subsequent aggressive good deeds.
Christianity EtcWho Were Jesus And Mohammed? by lawani(op): 3:53pm On Dec 07, 2015
Many people point to some verses in the Ifa corpus mentioning Jesus or Mohammed as validations of those characters when the truth is that the Awos of say twenty thousand years ago knew Ifa in a language we would not be able to understand and thousands of verses too, then Ifa verses are not absolute truths, nothing is. It is only fraudsters, liars and evil people who claim to possess absolute truths. A honest human being will advise people to make further research and reach better conclusions as Buddha advised his followers but a criminal would not. All Orunmila did was to create or establish a system of stories that encompasses all possible situations in life, 256 in all, then he devised a system to point the Awo or a diviner to a particular one to help an enquiree, under the assumption that Olodumare is always trying to assist human beings and therefore he will point the Awo or infact anyone, to the right odu for guidance, for the Awo with integrity, under Olodumare, the assumption works like the Riemann's hypothesis works in science despite that it has not been proved. You can create your own odus too, as many Awos have done which led to the stories of Jesus and Mohammed and it will work as well. They are not absolute truths! And will never be. Nothing is. Jesus and Mohammed were not orisas, far from it, to be an orisa, you have to bring advancement to humanity, not set humanity backwards and against each other, leading to killings, arguments, bigotry, hatred and general backwardness as Jesus and Mohammed have done. If anything, Jesus and Mohammed were probably incarnates of some wily Ajogun (malevolent irunmales) who manifested against the will of Olodumare, Allah, Ubangiji as the case may be in any culture, just like we have humans of that nature. There is a need to be clear about this. Jesus and Mohammed were the opposites of what an orisha is.

To the ancient Yoruba, Olodumare does nothing by himself or alone, including the creation of the universe. He chairs a council of 401 irunmale with himself being one of them. This is the equivalent of the Elohim headship of which the Jewish tribal deity may be a member. This idea is also what the ancient Arabs believed before Mohammed came to spoil the air with his Islam. It is basically what was acceptable to all humans before the advent of religious fascism whose basis is worship only one God which makes no sense just like bribe only one Judge makes no sense. There are innumerable irunmales called fairies by the English, jinns by Arabs and etc. For someone to now come and say 'I am the sole God, I am the only son of God or I am the last prophet and sole mouthpiece of God, the only person who can announce the decisions of God' is sacrilegious, mischievious, dangerous, sad and unfortunate. We have to get conscious and break free from such blasphemy and heresy to move forward as a specie. No one is anything that others are barred from. Even extra terrrestrial humans that we are yet to encounter are not. Not to talk of mere men like us who became human because of the people they met on ground as well as those who came before them.

In the past, people became expert diviners after long years of rigorous training under different teachers, among the Yoruba, all the diviners were Awo, someone of high integrity and not criminals, liars and etc. Their camaraderie and fraternity made sure that the power of Olodumare was not abused. An Awo that abuses that power would no longer be an Awo, but an Odale which means traitor. Just like a Doctor can not become a billionaire on account of practicing medicine, an Awo too can not become a billionaire on account of helping people access the 'Ase' of Olodumare. Only business men become billionaires while diviners fall under the category of artisans.
Christianity EtcRe: How The Evil Onslaught Of Abrahamic Religions Will Eventually Be Halted. by lawani(op): 10:13am On Dec 07, 2015

in your face Buddy.
Error number 1. Islam is not an Abrahamic Religion.

If you have any Brian's to do ur research, you would ve known that by now.

Linking his linage to that of Abraham was suggested to him

by one of his closest pal, by name Al Tabari. A very good Arabic Historian and scholar then.

Al Tabari suggested to proph Mo that, having Abraham to his

name will greatly foster and give his religion

credibility. Seeing the Jews and Christians were many in

the land at that time and he wanted their acceptance.

At first, he Rejected the idea, but a little convincing did the job.

Al Tabari was the master fabricator who fabricated the Biblical names and made them look and sound like Arabic.

He was the dude who tried drawing Prof Mo's family tree

linking it to Abraham, He got lost along the way.

you doubt me? Google prophet Mohammed's linage. or just

google this "is prophet Muhammed a decendant of Ismael?"

Proph Mo was a dullard, just like his followers. He couldn't

think for himself. People kept suggesting stuff to him, he'll

accept their suggestions then forget who suggested it, and

say its Allah.

e.g for example. his Sugar Mummy, Kadijat, suggested to

him that the demon torturing him could be an Angel Gabriel.

seeing, she was a Catholic and knew abt Angel Gabriel

bringing messages and all, she suggested that maybe it

was Gabriel trying to deliver a message. what she forgot to

tell moharmad was that, when Gabriel comes, he'll always

Introduce himself, put ur mind at rest, before delivering the

message. This demon's modus operandi was at variance

with that of Gabriel. that, she didn't tell him.

Mohammad, believed her, hook, line, and sinker.

he forgot who suggested that to him, later he gave the credit

to Allah.

Secondly, him being a decendant of Abraham was Al Tabari's

suggestion. prof Mo is a fake and an impostor.

By their fruits you shall know them. says Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Now to answer your Op.

I will leave you with this scripture to chew, that's if u have

teeth.

Many are the devices in a man's heart, never the less, the

counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. Prov. 19:21.

Who is that, that says a thing and that thing cometh to pass

when I the Lord, have not commanded it? munch onnnn.
Mohammed does not have to be a descendant of Abraham for Islam to be an Abrahamic faith. Infact Mohammed could not have been a descendant of Ishmael because that name existed only in the Torah and was a Jewish name. Prior to Christianity and Islam, no ethnic Arab bore the name. Same with Ibrahim, Haroun, Daoud and etc. Those are Torah names. Islam is an Abrahamic religion simply because it was built on Judaism and Christianity. Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Hinduism and etc are not but Islam is. However you are free to push any position you feel is right and if you can establish your points, I will agree with you.

I see you are a Christian. Christianity's monotheism is built on Judaism, it is a perversion of it, then embellished with Kemitic and Hellenistic beliefs like the virgin birth, son of God and etc. The Egyptians and Greeks reverred some of their Kings as sons of God and born of virgins but only in thesame way the Yoruba of Nigeria rever their Obas as second in command to the orisas. A playful practice to motivate the Kings which is now perverted by Christians who now say Jesus was born of a virgin, is the son of God, died for all sins, past and future and if you don't believe, you will be burned in hell fire for ever. Those are demonic heresies. No one died for anyone's sin. I urge you to extricate yourself from the captivity of demons and become the full human you were meant to be. Thanks.
Christianity EtcRe: Things Only God Could Have Known! by lawani(m): 7:56pm On Dec 06, 2015
I will answer with some common Yoruba sayings 'Obiri laye, se ni aye nyi, eda kan nto lehin ni' meaning 'the earth is spherical and rotating, living things are just trudging along the surface'. Osupa laye which literally means 'the Earth is a moon or the Earth is like a moon' which shows clearly people who were star trekkers and viewed Earth from outer space. Would you say our ancestors were God for knowing these?
Christianity EtcRe: Satan Doesn't Exist; All These Abrahamic Religions Are Deceiving Everybody by lawani(m): 7:48pm On Dec 06, 2015
It is very rare to find original cultures featuring Satan. No two captains in a ship. Most cultures feature only God and no Satan. Satan was invented by Jews.
PoliticsGovernment, The Utopia by lawani(op): 7:30pm On Dec 06, 2015
If a landlords' association containing five thousand members decide to do some things together so as to cut costs for individual landlords, then they will need an administration. The things that needs to be done may be things like security and cleaning of the environment that would cost more if done individually than it will cost if done as a group. They may need to employ security guards and cleaners who are going to be on salaries which may mean they will need an office to supervise these people. This happens a lot in Nigeria and I know a few real examples. When the association has a large number of members they do hold elections to appoint their executives, some have annual budgets running into several millions of naira. Now, this association can employ a knowledgeable person as administrator to oversee and manage all their activities, pay the cleaners and security guards and make sure they do their work properly while the appointed person reports to the assembly of the landlords meticulously. They are his employers and he or she has nothing at all to hide from them, they provide the money that his or her office manages and he or she has to give account to them. Some associations are big enough to employ managers while other smaller ones meet every weekend for deliberations. There are no secrets. There are no extra revenue coming from anywhere apart from the pockets of the landlords, no oil wells, that an administrator takes control of in order to source funds while relieving members of the burden of levies and subsequently creating an avenue to enrich himself. If there is more money than expenses, then they will reduce what they levy themselves, if there are new expenses, they impose a higher levy on themselves. This sounds like utopia nowadays, but this was the plan of those who started the idea of government and it was meant to be an enhancement to civilization and not an impediment as it has turned out in many places. If it is not working in your country, then you need to go back to the basics and find out why. If you look deep enough, you will realise why. This arrangement may have been bastardised to a large extent but it is not irredeemable in any part of the world.

We may need to note that landlord associations are what governments should be and that valid reasons for establishing such should be the total elimination of poverty, unemployment and diseases, the provision of high quality education for all as well as funding for scientific research for human development.
