Rubbish! There is no such thing as a new year resolution. We all hypocritically stand in front of God on new year's day in churches and mosques and deliever our own versions of the new year budget as resolutions which by mid februray we have already forgotten we made such stupid promises to keep.

How many of us for donkey years past have made up our minds to stop smoking, fornicating, back bitting, cheat, reconcile with our families, stop drinking, hope to do very well in school, help to improve lives and probably find another fool proof strategy to woo more business clients and increase our potentials psychologially, spiritually, financially and mentally and end up repeating the same old mantra next year as if we didnt say it in 1989, 1996, 2001 and more memorably in 2007.

Why is only on the 31st of december we remember when to say those silly resolutions. The women would scream to God and within " oh i want to have that child at last or have another baby boy or give me a better boyfriend or make my marriage work or relationship" and the boys will scream out loud " Oh God let my business boom, let my car finally show this year, let my money show, let the society know i have arrived and a host of a million twaddles and rubbish they hope and wish to accomplish"

Well i have got news for all the dreamers and optimists. The cloud is not turning to pink on the 31st of december and the moon will not change to the sun on the first of january. Your nauseating boyfriend will still be around you, your cheating girlfriend will still arouse more boys attention, your sniveling mother inlaw will still harrass you, your pesky granny will not die and still hound you, your shares in the banks will still appreciate and depreciate, danfo and okada riders will still be a menace to the society, nepa will continue to haunt us, the roads will still be death traps, you wont stop smoking until the doctor waves a red flag about your lungs, you wont stop drinking until you pass out in a gutter, you wont stop cheating until your caught red handed and disgraced, you wont make more money until you draw up a business plan that is feasible and realistic and you wont stop going to miracle crusades because you have a fetish for going to such places to pray for get rich quick schemes and inshort, its another day in the life of an ordinary nigerian. I can remember how i was under the cloud of those that paid much importance to this new year resolution garbage about 20 years ago and i kept on saying i would change and i would do this and that. Each passing year was worse off than the latter and until i realised that it wasnt necessary, things began to happen. Always expect the unexpected and most of the time it favours you when you dont place much importance to it. People would come out here and say you should have the will power, discipline and determination and spiritual help to make your resolutions come true but its all a load of crap. How do you determine within yourself to stop boozing, smoking and fornicating in 365 days and not falther and go back to your old crazy ways that you feel comfortable in? What will power makes you stop cheating, back stabbing, lying and trampling on other people's back to snatch every financial opportunity that comes your way? If your the owner of a petrol station and there is fuel scarcity, what will power prevents you from hiking the prices to make more money? But you will be the first to tell God and yourself on the 31st of dec, no more cheating and stealing! How laughable nigerians can be atimes If your a student tell me you wont attempt to settle any of your exams this semester or year or try and sleep with the favoured lecturer to gain that all desired 2:1 or 2:2 so as to be eligible to work in zenith?

Abeg so my new year resolution is to break up with more girls, booze and smoke more, rip more people off financially, climb the backs of other people till i get to the top, take no prisoners and trample on anyone that gets into my way of success, scheme and connive more and finally date the love of my life pilgrim 1 because it just another normal day in my life and in the lives of millions of Nigerians and it's pathetic for you to remotely deny it.

even if 99% insult you, cant u spare a though for the one % that hasnt insulted you before b4 you insult everyone. At least i havent insulted you b4 so why lump me into your insults with a blanket insult? Take for example I-MAN, i have never replied him before or spoken to him but can you see what he wrote. You dont have to insult every arsenal fan that hasnt insulted you before. The phrase " f**K arsenal fans worldwide" is not necessary and uncouth. We may have our footballing differences based on the various teams we support and whenever we win it gives us the bragging rights for the moment but it doesnt mean you should insult us all especially when we have done nothing to you.

Anyway my opinions about today. To be frank, i am happy manutd is finally a point above arsenal and that will ease the pressure off arsenal for a while. Trying to sustain that leadership toga has costs us in some games and it will be good to play catch up for a while before hopefully regaining it when it matters the most. It's always difficult to maintain that momentum when you are on top especially when the gap is ridiculously slim. Anything can happen. You could lose a game, draw or lose your best players and it all comes tumbling down. Now that manutd is on top, the onus is for them to retain that leadership spot for the next 19 games and i honestly think it's going to be a topsy turvey newyear between manutd and arsenal each vying for top place and it will boil down to the team that has the character to finally strech that lead to probably 5 points by mid feburary before the real bragging rights start. Manutd should enjoy the moment but it's a bitter sweet moment from what i can see. Tough matches await you and a draw or loss could spell doom for either side. So let's just see how it plays out.

As per the game, i have to confess that i didnt see anything wrong in the pattern of play and they tried their best to win. Honestly the person who cost arsenal that 3 vital points is that lump of wood adebayor and i cant fanthom why he is an arsenal player. He is so inconsistent and irrational in his plays. He finds it difficult to beat a man and just perform one moment of magic. I find it extremely insulting when he compared himself to half of both kanu and drogba because those 2 neither have the twit of intelligence that he posseses. Apart from inzaghi, i cant remember a player who plays himself offside so may times in a game unintelligently hereby frustrating the works of other players but at least inzaghi delievers most of the time compared to that tart adebayor. The clarion cry of his supporters that he is a hard worker holds no water to me because a hard worker that gets no end product is a dumb slave. His so called 10 goals in 19 games is laughable because he has played almost all the premiership games for 90 minutes plus and despite him playing for a team that isnt so selfish and would do anything to supply that glorious ball for him, makes me wonder how such a tart can be so stupidly lackadastical in front of goal.

Take for example tonight. An old hag like sol campbell kept him quiet for 90 minutes That tells a lot how maldini and nesta would make him so invincible when they meet. I cant imagine how many through balls he was fed tonight from hleb, rosicky and most memorably cesc but even if we saw an end product it would have been better to say something. If arsenal ends up losing the league we definately know where to look because this twig is costing us very very vital games. I cant remember when last he shone in a big game. Against manutd, chelsea and liverpool, he was just as appaling as tonight. I wonder what jazz he is using to convince wenger to put him on the field for 90 minutes talkless of someone worthy of being an arsenal player. He scores a hattrick against derby and he thinks he's world class and anytime i see the william hill betting of the week that places adebayor as the first to score, i know definately we are either going to play a draw or lose because that irritant has nothing fantastic in his shitty brain to offer. because of him, i dont think we have anyhope of doing well against milan except van persie plays.

Anyway, it's not his fault. I blame it on van persie who is made of glass because i cant fanthom how a van persie would play in that position for 19 games and wont be scoring at least 15 goals by now including some magical goals to talk about for weeks.  Rvp plays only 9 games for arsenal, 4 games for 90 minutes and 5 games as a sub and scores 7 goals. He scored 12 goals last season and missed a vital 3 months away because of injury and still yet adebayor who played almost the whole season couldnt catch up with an absent van persie.

It just so sad and i predict another disasterous outing for arsenal against  everton on saturday if this twit is allowed to play 90 minutes without bendtner or rvp beside him to carry him along. Boy it's going to be a long newyear with this twit as an albatross on gunners neck. I cant even remotely imagine anyone tagging adebayor as their favourite player even for a local under ojuelegba bridge football competiton.

Finally, my prayers have been answered. I have been praying for this fixture for a very long time and now my UEFA has granted my wishes. ARSENAL V A.C MILAN. A very tasty matchup and i can confidently say arsenal are gonna destroy the so called legendary Milan. 4 weeks ago ancellotti made a comment about arsenal not quite being capable of doing well in the champions league and predicts they wont go far. Unfortunately for him, little did he know that arsenal were going to be paired with milan this early so i guess he is already quaking in his boots.

My young guns are going to outrun these old cargos and despite the brillance of kaka and seedorf, i dont see them being able to withstand the fast pace of arsenal. These kids are going to run them rag-tag and i dont think milan has ever played a team that will make them chase the ball forever. Arsenal are not man utd and will not be scared of them. On the contrary, arsenal plays better when the opposition is bigger and they love to demistyify that myth of being "unbeatable". We did it aginst inter milan, Juve and real madrid and it's time for milan to graciously bow out to a more superior fire power.

These kids have nothing to lose if milan beats them and milan has everything to lose if arsenal thumps them, so the ball is in arsenals favour. As long as the super 5 plays namely hleb, cesc, gallas, falmini and Rvp, i am more than confident that arsenal will tear milan apart. Now if iyabo used an alias name to register the company and act as a director of the company, is it not in violation of section 292 (2) cama? Because obvious the name is fake, address is fake and date of birth is fake. So therefore, she is not a director of that company because she has contravened this section.

Section 82 cama : If anyperson falsely and decietfully impersonates any member of the company and thereby obtains or endeavours to obtain any benefit due to such member, he shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not more than 7 years or a fine.

If iyabo has registered the company under another name which is fake and not existing and she is actually obtaining or endeavouring to obtain a benefit from the company which she isnt a member, isnt she in violation of section 82?


Bottom line, she is not a director of the company and if she is not, it remains only 1 person since she said the company was formed by only 2 of them and a company can only be formed by a minimum of 2 directors. So therefore, the company doesnt even exist under the law

Your criticisms of eduardo is totally unfair. This is a guy that's just trying to adapt to the pace and style of arsenal and your saying he's crap because he hasnt scored a single premiership goal. This is a guy that contributed immensely to England's downfall in the euro 2008 qualifiers. He has scored approximately 5 goals in the carling cup competition and has 2 goals to his credit in the champions league.

Despite his limited appearances and wrong positional play on the left mostly in the premiership games he has either started or come in as a sub, he has put in all his efforts to become a team player and adapt to the style of the game and so far so good he has been doing his best. Even arsene wenger agreed that it takes a new player at least 6 months to adapt to the style of arsenal's pattern and the best way to lift his spirits and learn to adapt is throught these lesser competitions such as the F.A cup and carling cup. We all know he's a sharp shooter and fox in the box when given the opportunity and a player that has signed for 4 years only means he'll get better.

Even the great henry did not score his first goal for arsenal until after 8 games despite him playing all 90 minutes of same. Same thing for Rvp and it took a while for adebayor to adapt to the fast english pace. Werent manu fans worried about tevez lack of goal scoring opportunites until he scored his first goal against chelsea and you ended up killing malu to celebrate it? Arsenal is now a team and it's not how long but how well and Eduardo fits perfectly to that adage .

P.S: Eduardo wasnt bought to replace henry but to add to the attacking options because the pattern has changed. You talk of players lightening up the premiership such as torres and tevez. We all know about the prowress of torres before he came to liverpool that's why he was the hottest bride of all clubs who desperately wanted his services. You can't compare torres and eduardo now because they play 2 different styles and are from 2 different cultures of football. My Musing on chelsea[b][/b]

Jeez, the jinx is finally over! 3 years of ramblings from chelsea fans that arsenal hasnt beaten them in a while and finally, the best goal keeper in the world ends up making the costliest mistake to allow a disgruntled former chelsea player nick in that all important goal. To be frank, despite the mistake from cech, this match has made me regard him as truely the best in the world. The saves he made were just out of this world and more especially the double save from Rvp and fabregas in the spate of 3 seconds is something to appreciate even though am no chelsea fan .

Also chelsea fans have to agree that sheva is almost a finished product. Apart from that free kick, he was virtually useless and was in toure's pocket all night. It's a pathetic end to a once glorious career. Meanwhile good to see Mikel finally take a shot at goal. He really suprised me that he packs a canon in his boots and that shot really scared me. For Nigeria, that's a positive sign but this chap is ridiculously rough and jocular in his defending and was lucky not to be sent off.

I was totally suprised at lampard's invincibility in the whole match. He looked out of place and neither contributed to chelsea's attack. I swear i thought he was going to take that last minute freekick and i was already sweating because he has a knack of scoring those freekicks either through a silly deflection or low drive but once again thanks to old man Shevy, we were spared the impending threat. Joe cole also did not make those rivetting runs, dribbles and passes that makes him chelsea's most dangerous player behind Drogba. Sagna uncharacteristicly subdued him and i was shocked because i know he offers the  greatest threat when he's on point. But thank God he wasnt tuned in.

Finally Swp really impressed me because he was chelsea's liveliest player and was the most probable player to score and that sitter he missed will probably hunt him for a very long time. Well sorry chelsea, we all have our good days and bad but today chelsea was horrible and they ought to have lost this game by 3 clear goals.  

P:s How come anytime john terry plays arsenal, an arsenal player must put a foot up his arse and send him out of action for at least 2 weeks?

[b]Almunia 9: Absolutely amazing today and shut up a lot of his critics. Between him and cech i can't readily pick out the man of the match. Top notch performance

Sagna 8 : Pocketted the 2 coles tonight and defended well. Only snag was that his passings were a little off and ended up providing some scary moments in the arsenal defence

Toure 7: At least he has shrug off last week's pathetic display and looked fresher and defended well but was still out of place atimes and still made those unecessary long balls. Needs to improve on those frekicks. They are becoming more laughable these days.

Gallas 8 : Captain Fantastic and finally closed the chapter on the chelsea transfer sagna by shutting up the chelsea board and scoring that decisive goal that he promised to score against chelsea whenever they meet

Gallas 1 ashley cole 0

Clichy 8: Am extremely suprised at clichy's defending today. He took Swp to the cleaners by not even giving him a whimper of hope to actually dribble him except using the crossing route. Maybe the prescence of Ashely cole gave him the reason to play extra better and it worked.

Eboue 6: Was threatening in the first half and became less effective in the second half. Naturally he should get a 5 for his display but gets an extra point for the classic foul on terry.

Hleb & Fabregas 6: match rusty and fear of going back under the surgeons knife made them play cautiously but their prescence nevertheless scared the shit out of chelsea who were praying for the duo to miss the match. Great to have them both back and i know next week will see the best of them again. Also loved cesc taking a shot at ashely cole at the end

Flamini : 8 tireless worker. Did a lot to help snuff out the misplaced passes of cesc and defended more deeply to help out the back 4. A stellar performance from him tonight.

Rosicky 7: A major improvement from lack week's disasterous outing and was involved in the tick of things and was easily our best midfielder tonight. Also helped out clichy alot to neutralize Swp and should have gotten an assist to his credit for Rvp's goal if not for the offside. Thumbs up

Adebayor 6 : Really wasnt that into the game especially when he was playing as a lone striker. Although he nodded the ball down better today for his other team mates to pick up the pieces and didnt get offside as much as he is known for and i thought he had a very very good goal disallowed. But still raw and unpredictable which can be extremely frustrating.

Rvp 8: Immediate impact and showed he meant business. He sparked up our attack when it seemed to be dying down and devoid of ideas and had agoal disallowed. We all saw his desire to score and he did well. Great to have him back. Looks hungrier than ever

Bendtner 7: Spent 3 minutes and gave the pass of a life time to cesc to score which the latter failed to put away. This boy has a great future with arsenal and Adebayor has to watch out

Gilberto 5: These are worrying times for gilberto and something fast has to happen. He's getting slower and making silly tackles around dangerous places. His passings are off and it's really sad. He really needs our prayers to do better this winter season because in the absence of toure, he might cover for toure and if he brings this kind of form to the defence, we might lose some very vital matches before toure comes back from the ACN.

Wenger 10 : For playing mind games with the press and chelsea fans about the availability of flamini, hleb and cesc which invariably disrupted their preparations on how to paly arsenal and who was going to play and who wasnt.
