Fresh and New: NSE Re-Launches Website Monday, July 14, 2014 The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) announced on July 14, 2014 the upgrade and re-launch of its website (www.nse.com.ng) With a more contemporary design, the new site incorporates a more intuitive navigation and introduces several enhanced features along with sections that will provide access to information on the various products and instruments that are listed and traded on the regulated market. The CEO of The Nigerian Stock Exchange, Mr. Oscar Onyema, states that, “the upgrade of The NSE’s website fits well with our desire to become the leading platform to access capital in Africa. Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa and our goal is to leverage digital technology to provide capital market information to existing and potential investors”. The new site gives visitors a clearer view of The Exchange’s activities and allows transparent access to a wide variety of information and data from any device with a functional browser said Onyema. Remarking on the upgrade of the website, Mr. Clifford Akpolo, Digital Marketing Manager of The NSE, said that “asides the new modern look, the site also has a dynamic search functionality that provides rich information for investors, issuers and dealing member firms. It also works as a channel for interaction between investors and the global capital market at large.” Akpolo revealed that the new website has many advantages and added values, compared with the previous website -including dynamic charts, access to market data reports on daily/weekly transactions, periodical statistical data and an effortless speedy web browser which contains a full content search engine that will enable investors to view listed companies information for selected periods. http://www.nse.com.ng/mediacenter/pressreleases/Pages/NSE-Re-Launches-Website.aspx 1 Like |

@Op shut the fvckup. The guy was simply a great inventor who invented this AK-47 to save his country as at that time. He never killed anyone. I saw this on yahoo and I can't stop reading it over and over again; Yuri Orlov(Nicolas Cage in LORD of WAR): "Of all the weapons in the vast Soviet arsenal, nothing was more profitable than Avtomat Kalashnikova model of 1947. More commonly known as the AK-47, or Kalashnikov. It's the world's most popular assault rifle. A weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple 9 pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn't break, jam, or overheat. It'll shoot whether it's covered in mud or filled with sand. It's so easy, even a child can use it; and they do. The Soviets put the gun on a coin. Mozambique put it on their flag. Since the end of the Cold War, the Kalashnikov has become the Russian people's greatest export. After that comes vodka, caviar, and suicidal novelists. One thing is for sure, no one was lining up to buy their cars" 1 Like |

Revealed: Billionaires Who Made The Biggest Financial Gains in 2013 18 December 2013 New York, 18 December, 2013 – Warren Buffett made about US$37 million per day in 2013, according to calculations by Wealth-X, making him the billionaire who made the most money this year. With a gain of US$12.7 billion in 2013, the legendary billionaire investor and notable philanthropist’s net worth at the end of the year stands at US$59.1 billion. That, however, does not make Buffett the wealthiest billionaire on the list. That title goes to Microsoft chairman Bill Gates, who added US$11.5 billion to his personal fortune in 2013, ending the year with assets totaling US$72.6 billion. In number three spot on the list is American casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, who raked in US$11.4 billion in 2013 from his gambling properties in Las Vegas, Macau and Singapore. His personal net worth is estimated to be more than US$35 billion. The individuals on the top 10 list collectively gained $101.8 billion in 2013, an average gain of US$10.2 billion each. The combined wealth of the 10 individuals now totals US$347 billion, up from US$245 billion in January 2013. On average, they made US$29 million per day in 2013, and increased their wealth by 41.6 percent, outperforming the 24 percent returns seen in the S&P 500 this year.
