Every school, like all legal entities, has its own policy of which, i beleive, the parents are aware. Keeping the child in that school may jeopardize the boy's dream of becoming a preacher in the future. I suggest that the guy be enrolled in a school which does not have anti-religious policy.

Each time i see chinese, lebanese and the arab technicians supervising our graduate engineers on projects I cannot help but wonder if the the degree has any value at all. The fact is that the guys graduated with the paper and unfortunately without the skill. On the other hand, a 3rd class graduate of architecture or nursing has both. He hits the ground running.

If our universities can produce adequately skilled medical doctors, physiotherapists, dentists, architects, lawyers then if engineering is given the same attention they can produce skilled engineers. This is very vital for our technological advancement which is a sine qua non of economic development.

if you can afford LASU i would advise you consider a change of institution. You only need to hammer the post utme well. I heard of someone with 187 last year that successfully got admitted for medicine in LASU on merit. Although, it is expected that the school experiences more traffic due to the reductuon of the fee and as such, medicine will be more competitive in the future. it is worth giving a trial.
