According to reports reaching Drinosblog earlier today, Three staffers of the "Osun State Broadcasting Corporation" have been placed on indefinite suspension for jubilating after the victory of PDP’s Ademola Adeleke in Saturday’s by-election.

According to reports from Drinosblog whilesblowers, The affected staffs are "Mr Kunle Makanjuola, Mr Gbadebo Adepoju and Mrs Folakemi Alonge."

Information reaching Drinosblog from our whistleblowers says that the affected persons were never issued any letter of query before their suspension.

It will be recalled that the State is governed by the All Progressive Congress Governor while Ademola Adeleke that won the By-election won on the ticket of Peoples’ Democratic Party.

The Belgian has chosen not to wear Wayne Rooney's No.10 jersey, instead opting for the number he carries at international level.

Romelu Lukaku has revealed he will wear the Manchester United No.9 shirt vacated after receiving "permission" from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Lukaku is set to complete his £75 million move from Everton in the coming hours after undergoing a medical on Saturday, and will meet up with his new team-mates in Los Angeles as they begin their pre-season preparations.

And he has revealed that he has already chosen to don the No.9 jersey, succeeding the departing Ibrahimovic in the iconic jersey.

"I always asked my mother what number, and I used to play with the 10 because my mother's birthday is on Oct. 10, so it's the 10th month of the year," he told ESPN.

"That's why I played with No. 10. I asked for the number nine because I'm a striker.

"Strikers play with No.9. It's a nice number, and I asked the permission of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. I want to thank him, as well, for allowing me to wear that number."

The 24-year-old becomes the eighth United player to be given the number nine since the introduction of squad numbering in 1993. Brian McClair, Andy Cole, Louis Saha, Dimitar Berbatov, Radamel Falcao and Anthony Martial had all worn the shirt before Ibrahimovic arrived at the club last summer, with Martial being reallocated the number 11.

There was a belief that Lukaku may make a straight swap with Wayne Rooney, who has taken the Belgian’s Everton number 10 shirt after returning to Goodison Park. But the famous United number 10 remains vacant for now with Lukaku favouring the number he wears for his national team instead.

Lukaku could make his United debut on Saturday night when Jose Mourinho’s side take on LA Galaxy at the StubHub Center in their first pre-season fixture of the summer.

The state Governor of Osun, Ogeni Raid Adesoji Aregbesola was reported to visit some blocked canal in Ife/Modakeke, Osun State.

According to Drinosblog reporters, The Governor, Aregbesola after checking the ongoing construction of Rasco Bridge, Old Garage, Osogbo on Friday after Jum'at prayer heard reports about some canal that were blocked in Ile Ife/Modakeke caused by heavy downpour.

The Governor, yesterday has to visit and see the blocked canal under the heavy rainfall so as to know the next line of action to be taken. said Drinosblog Reporters

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has sacked four policemen attached to Ijebu-Ode Area Command in Ogun State. The men were found guilty of extorting N50,000 from a man they arrested on trumped up charge. .

Affected by the dismissal are Inspector Mufutau Olaosun, Sgt. Adebayo Temitope, Cpl. Bakare Taiwo and Cpl. Adesoye Ayokunlehin. The four men on 7 June, without any grounds, arrested a man who was just leaving a bank and took him to the Igbeba Station, where they labelled him a “yahoo boy” and made him frog jump and write a self-incriminating statement, that he was an internet fraudster. .

After the maltreatment, they released the man and also impounded the N50,000 he had gone to collect on behalf of his boss, saying it was payment for his bail. The man lodged a complaint with the Police Public Complaints Rapid Response Unit. .

The police authorities found the complaint genuine and were mortified that policemen could take money for bail, despite the #BailisFree campaign by the police themselves.

The money had since been recovered from the four policemen and given back to the man. Drinosblog Reports.

The operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspected robbers who specialise in attacking and robbing motorists and commuters in Mile 2 area of Lagos State. .

The suspects, Sunday Chukwunweike (26) and Emmanuel Friday (28) were arrested after midnight on Mile 2 Bridge, after robbing a truck driver, Yinusa Salami.

Emmanuel said he took to the street after dropping out of school. Emmanuel added, “I have been to the prison twice, one in 2013 where I spent 7 months and also in 2016 where I bagged 3 months after engaging in street fighting”

On his part, Chukwunweike, also an ex-convict, blamed his wrong doing to the hard life which he had expose himself to on the street. “I came back from prison after spending 3 months but here I am again in another mess."

The Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on Thursday said it is only God that will choose his successor.

The Governor stated this in Iwo on Thursday while responding to the request of the Oluwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu 1 on giving the town priority in choosing the next person that leads the state, said Drinosblog reporters

Aregbesola who said the death of Senator Isiaka Adeleke is a pointer to the fact that indeed the will of God as the utmost decision maker for all men is supreme and divine.

He said most major towns of the state are all clamouring for the coveted seat but it can only go to where the Supreme Being Wants.

“All the towns I have visited in the state since my sojourn as governor and during this campaign except Ede, they have all called on me to make their indigenes Governor.”

“But with the experience of Senator Adeleke, I cannot decide what will happen tomorrow (Friday) talk less of saying what will happen in 2018.”

“Kabiyesi, I leave everything in the hands of God to decide,” Aregbesola stated.

Speaking earlier, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi lauded and appreciated Governor Aregbesola for his magnanimity and generosity to the town particularly as regard infrastructural development.

He however requested that the governor help to facilitate the reconstruction of the Osogbo/Iwo road.

Oba Akanbi alongside other royal fathers in Iwoland prayed for the success of the APC and its candidate, Senator Mudashiru Husain in Saturday’s by-election.

In his remarks, the state secretary of the APC, Hon Rasaq Salinsile explained that loyalty and acceptance of the party’s wish and decision materialised in the selection of Senator Husain in Saturday’s polls.

Drinosblog reporters said, He argued that the APC is a party of regulations and rules which determines the fate of every aspirant or candidate in elections.

Salinsile solicited the support of Iwo sons and daughters in actualising the return of Senator Husain to the Senate.

Part of the team included the Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, Kebbi state governor, Atiku Bagudu, Former Senate Leader, Alli Ndume, APC state chairmen in Oyo, Borno and Osun.

Also present at the palace were the state deputy governor, Mrs Titi Laoye-Tomori, Members of the National and state assemblies, Secretary to the state government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, Chief of Staff, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola among others, said Drinosblog reporters.

The Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, on Wednesday, said the death of late Isiaka Adeleke has affected the sanity of his brother who is contesting Osun West senatorial election under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Otunba Deji Adeleke.

He expressed regrets that the family of the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke has been using the unfortunate incident of his death to manipulate the minds of the people of the Ede ancient town.

He said this in Ede, Adeleke’s town, during the campaign for the APC candidate in the Saturday by-election, Senator Mudashiru Hussein.
Aregbesola said it is sad that since the death of the former governor of Osun in April, many lies and fabrications have emanated from the family and few of his loyalists.

Among the lies being peddled against him and his government include the fact that the younger brother of the politician, Dr. Deji Adeleke claimed that he borrowed the Aregbesola government money to pay workers salaries. He said it is also unthinkable that the Adeleke family would claim that Aregbesola begged Senator Adeleke to join APC.

This was just as the Governor along with the Timi of Ede, Oba Muniru Adesola Lawal, sued for peace, stating that the coming election should not be allowed to cause crisis.

The Governor said anywhere where peace is absent there can be no development.

He stated that God chooses whom he likes as a leader and so politicians should tred cautiously.

He held that APC did the best it could have done for the first democratically elected Governor of the state when his then party, People’s Democratic Party PDP treated treated him by giving him the Senatorial ticket then.

Aregbesola stated that it was the late senator who came to APC uninvited because of the treatment he received in the PDP.

On the purported claim in some quarters that the Adeleke family helped his re election, the Governor said he never collected a Kobo from the younger brother of the late Senetor, Dr. Deji Adeleke or any of the Adelekes.

He added that his administration has never for any reason borrowed money from any individual or group to meet the state’s statutory obligations.
Aregbesola held that with the volume of workers’ salaries arrears and pensions at that time, no individual could borrow the state the amount required at that time.

According to him, “Deji Adeleke does not have the financial capacity to bail out Osun from its financial challenges even before now, not to talk about lending us money to pay workers’ salaries. If anything at all, it is their family that sought and got favours from the Osun State Government under my watch. It is to the glory of God that they got the Certificate of Occupancy of their university from our government. Why didn’t those who are their new friends give them C of O of that university?

“If Deji Adeleke has so much money, why is he begging me to waive the payable tax of his university? Why cant he just pay?

“I am bold enough to say this over and over again, because I have never sought for assistance from any of the Adeleke’s family even during the life time of Senator Isiaka Adeleke, nothing as such occurred.

“Though my relationship with late Adeleke was cordial and beyond politics because we have known each other even before Osun politics because our residences are adjacent to each other in Lagos state.

“He was a good brother and a friend to me while alive, but during this dire economic period, I never approach him for any financial assistance not to talk of obtaining cash from his brother.

The governor commended the monarch for calling for peace to reign in the entire senatorial district before during and after the election.

Aregbesola said it is the responsibility of the Oba to make sure peace reigns in his domains.

According to him, “if the monarch fails to guarantee peace in his area, he will be the first person to be blamed for shirking in his responsibillity of the Oba to make sure peace reigns in his domains.

The entire Ogbomoso community has been thrown into sadness.

A student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology was crushed to death today by a Motorcycle.

An accident involving a motorcycle and a Bike Man has killed a student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology (LAUTECH).

The student, who is simply known as Hiqmat , was crushed under the tyres and killed instantly on Monday July 3rd 2017.

She was a 300-level student of Accounting.

As at press time, there are no details as regards her funeral arrangements.

In a determined bid to travel to Europe for greener pastures, a young Nigerian man, hid himself in front wheels of Medview Aircraft from Lagos to London.

Drinosblog whilesblowers has exclusively shared the photos a Nigerian young man identified as Emmanuel Ugochukwu, who, on Saturday, stowed away in the front wheels of Medview Aircraft from Lagos to London.

The boy was said to have hidden in the plan heading to London from Lagos in an attempt to seek greener pastures abroad. He was found out by authorities who immediately returned in in the next available flight to Lagos.

A woman has been found hanging on an electricity pole after her lover's wife returned home unexpected to meet her.

The woman was found hanging on an electric pylon
Disturbing footage has shown a woman hanging by her foot from an electricity pylon after apparently leaping from a window.

According to the source, the lady, who is pictured wearing only her underwear, is believed to have mistakenly jumped when her boyfriend’s wife returned home.

The shocking clip is thought to have been filmed somewhere in China and shows a crowd of people watching and filming the bizarre scene.

A long ladder is shown being rested against the wall nearest the woman in a bid to bring her down.

The clip was posted on video sharing Instagram page Drinosblog along with the headline: “Mistress hangs upside down on utility cables.”

The sub headline then states: “Wife came home earlier than expected.”
