^^ Process - Right process reduces chances of frustration. |
^^ You dey mind am? |
^^ They are not correct, that phrase had never been in existence before 2006 when NL came live. Beaf coined it.(Wole soyinka) Prof! Beaf! Ignore them jare. |
Beaf:@Beaf How does the press release imply the bolded above. Took step means he did something which is the truth if you had been following the news. Can't bring out a dated source now(It's on the states website) but at the beginning of the rains the state attempted clearing of water channels (Ekiti did something like this recently). Whether the statement is now a stunt or not, that is determined by measuring how work done was of effect in preventing the flood. We need not blindly hate these people all the time! Now this does not imply am an ardent supporter neither have I concluded that the press statement was a fact. I am of the opinion that before we criticize, let us check. Just incase you want to crucify me also, let me openly say I am not a GEJ fan (Probably never will) |
^^ Thought you had to be on the internet to post this. Google is a wonderful friend use it. |
Often times I find people discussing issues based on sentiment and I have also come to conclude that a lot of people have corrupted expectations hence they never accept any matter on its merit. If a Jang has appointed his son as a Special Adviser special duties, before we crucify him, we need to ask amongst many questions the following; Does the law permit him to appoint someone to that office at all? Does his son satisfy requirements to occupy that office? What is the position of the law on the modality of appointing people to such office? Was this flouted? In the aftermath of occupying such office, has the son enjoyed benefits unduely? We may not be able to determine the fate with which the father appointed him but we need to watch and see if the appointment was positive towards development or not. My take is not to support the idea of "Man know man" far from it. I am only saying if the man I know satisfies something on its merit why not give it to him. We need not deny development by exerggerating ethics. |
@AJ I am of the optimistic school and quite agree with your initial post about strides in the service sector. As much as those things are not anywhere near where they should be, they are examples to show that things can actually work out for us. What then is/are our problems? There is a very central problem I see that debars our progress and that is “Selfishness/greed of the moment” This is really caused by the feeling that resources are scarce, therefore let me just grab some for myself and my immediate interest. This has made it an issue for us to organize scarce resources in a manner that it will be beneficial to many. We think of self than many. Just look at situations when you have traffic gridlock only for you to find out that it was caused by two drivers who wouldn’t yield right of way to one another, in the end everybody now spends more time than we would have. We need selflessness, humility in action and sincerity of purpose in the critical areas of social service in order for us to achieve real development. Political stability/policy summersaults have been an issue for us, but I think we are gradually achieving this. If this is achieved, I tell you we can up our security and infrastructure which will in turn allow for development in the real sector. The multiplier effect of the foregoing is what we will have as development. The question is; in our individual capacities, what have we been doing to help the generality? Are joining others to do business as usual or we are selfless in our thoughts and actions. |
http:Hey! C'mon that's ma home town there. Internet punches could be devastating you know.(lol). Are you from here too? |
^ ^ ^ ^ Eeyah! Somehow your first and only post yet on NL has also been on its own for FOUR days now. Let me run before this thread's cabals catch me here. |
@DK Am an Igbetian Omo Igbeti onile oye, Oye kii pa ara Igbeti, eni a bi soye loye pa. You guys should not discriminate against Mr Yoboro when he relocates home ooo. Remember teni n teni so get set to do some rehabilitation on him. Guv by 2023, okay ooo, but ensure first that Akala would not have transmuted to a king maker by then. |
@DK No vex ooo, Which part of Oyo state are you from? (seriously) Seems you like Oyo state more than some of we original Oyo-Ile sef. I so much admire your passion for unAKALAisation of Oyo state. Me am from that Marble/harmattan zone and we no gree the guy ooo though im rig shaa End of -Yoboro yobosin, Akalakala, Akalism, Akalamagbo, etc BTW, the asewo boy said he would return to Agodi after May 29, and I don't think he has a property around that place yet thus IMHO he must have mustered the thought of relocating to Agodi prisons. |
The pen!!. I respect my conscience a lot. |
Mafouluku , BB or Nothing (I no fit risk another 4 years of retrogression) No tribal/age sentiments Excllncy:For real!! may be some of us do not know the meaning of being educated. Kristaz:Marvelous reason to vote for somebody obviously serving desires of currupt men. OVIEZ:Really!! and Jonathan is - I dey laugh. Busols757:I tell you so shall the influence remain for the sake of another term. BTW - Aganga has since said 2011 budget is unimplementable and Jona has not come out to refute this meaning our economy is on auto pilot. |
Humble and ordinary my foot!! - If you live in Lagos then you will know the traffic havoc we experience whenever he comes around. Whereas a Fashola who lives with us will pass by your side without you even noticing. No blood is worth his re-election truly and he has turned blind eye to the numerous political killings!! A wa o ko yen je sir. |
Enemies thank you for pointing our weakness to us, we are working on it. Are you satisfied now? |
Let us discuss facts and not misrepresent the truth to find fault, the NPN government already frustrated the project before the military took over just the same way they almost did not allow the first state owned TV station to see the light of the day. It wasn't until a court judgement that LTV came live. Go do your research and don't just be fed with hear-say. |
As for me and my family we shall vote BB into power. come April elections I am a southerner from Igbeti (Omo oloye) Oyo state (Akala rubbish). I don't know why Nigerian youths would rather prefer to be blinded by ethno-religious sentiments in opting for a leader at a time when other nations are miles ahead. May be we should just put it straight that Buhari/Bakare may not be the best team that Nigeria can produce but at this expedient times and of the lot that have signified their intention to vie for the post of the president, their antecedent clearly shows they are the most capable. People, look at antecedents above tendencies. A Jonathan who as at September 2010 was not sure he will contest, or the impasse making one, several volte face, a man with obviously unachievable visions ala airport in all states, a clueless fellow who is assuming he is still in power when his ministers and advisers/assistants are at liberty to do what they like? Aganga just days ago confirmed their budget is not implementable (I laugh in Swahili). It is obvious that the fisherman is not in charge, Nigeria both the physical and the fiscal is on auto-pilot at the moment if I may assess well. Me I know that a clueless GEJ for another 4 years= a retrogression equal to 20 years. Dunce boy Some of us who have witnessed a better Nigeria before, did not hesitate in going for BB because of one key reason; they simply have the character Nigeria needs in a leader at the moment. A neighbour was even telling me that 13 months in the saddle is not enough to judge who a Jonathan is and I simply made a pointer to the fact that Buari's tenure was only slightly longer and his story remains positive till today except of course those who have chosen not to reason who see it as negative. People say he was a coup plotter, but have not read history enough to know that the times in Africa then was a period of contagious coup plotting not because of power drunkeness but because something must be done. All said, I have only one vote and I will use it for BB to save the future. |
Do am wella! Infact was an expert in pot lid opening and closing and superb tip-toeing. Just wondering if what I do these days can still be called stealing cos I still go straight to the pot whenever I visit my folks albeit confidently. SS2 in 1990 - Thought nomenclature was Form X until 1st half 1991 Maybe not in your state anyway |
Was kind of of little in size then so no confido to go meet the chics myself but guess what I was a much sought after consultant to others. My greatest line: Boy: " There is a girl I love whom I want to talk to you about" Girl: "Go ahead" Boy: " Truth is you are the girl" Girl: Usually dumb founded Worked for my clients those days |
AjanleKoko:Aj, If the above is the story of the very tall huge Ibo man that was a top shot in a telecom firm then it is very true and correct. I think his charisma helped, I worked under him before |
Mod, May be this thread should even be in Telecoms |
AjanleKoko:AJ, Sure you are speaking from the inside but I can tell you this is more like in theory - You'll see why below hercules07:The truth is what @hercules07 is talking about here is congestion of wireless spectra allocated to these providers and I can confirm to you that this has been the bane of last mile access. Reasons are not far fecthed - Frequency is more than scarce! Some buy and keep and have never used while some providers who are willing(need) to grow capacity cannot get more from NCC. If we must rely on wireless technology then NCC must regulate properly and ensure that a provider is allocated what is justifiably needed and never allocate what is not readily needed. (Just check their site and see how many licences have been given out for last mile but check how many have indeed roll out) - May be wired line will be better for where it already exists |
@VPersie; Well I do not know you nor any of other posters but I have surely read posts from the poster whom you are at "logger posts" with and I really do not think he deserves your post that sparked his annoying response. My suggestion is let's not because internet forum allows for anonymity then we should throw away decorum, I mean what happens if by chance you eventually meet this guy somehow in future. You may reactivate your initial post so people can contribute and then we all learn. |
@AjanleKoko, I think that's a good one there |
@OP seriously to get valid results 0-5% category is needed. @Ajanlekoko To have adopted this strategy then you must have initially accumulated enough savings which you can fall back on at any time. Am I right or something? |
@harpo Nomenclature and JD usually varies from organisation to organisation but on the usual, the credit guy is the business development guy who brings in the potential borrower of fund and of course manages the relationship between the borrower and the bank, the risk management guy however is concerned with assesment of risk in any lending or part funding by the bank. Hope you caught some idea there. |
@darqly, What I found disheartening is that a lot of people are too concerned about the pay coming in at the end of the month to think of this. The truth is people are not adding up in skill which is why they work for years yet no quantifiable experience to leverage on. |
@abott I think 0-5% should be included in the poll so that you won't be disenfranchising some (a lot) of people. |
@yodiyokun and darqly I quite agree with you that the operations guys are usually the busiest. If you will agree with me, you will equally realise that operations work is more of routine and all it requires from you is to pay attention and be meticulous, I don't see problem solving. For other units as well there is rarely problem solving. And oh Lord for the guys in marketing save for the scary targets(which is challenging anyway) they have bunch of time in their hands. Honestly campared to my previous background I don't see why a Gradute should be a teller and be paid N150k/M when an ND holder (Who will be paid lesser) can equally do the Job well while the gradute can also apply his/her skills elsewhere. Don't know if you guys are feeling me. |
@Ajanlekoko Just wish what naa, , We young people face things too O!. I've just being reading some formulas and honestly I've not been seeing reality in them. In an earlier post I purposely put the conditions of owning a car and living in Lagos. I have my reasons. |
@Pa-Ken If PHCN really deals with you like they do to me anyway you will know that the 12k for Gen fuelling is even moderate thats roughly N400/day (E be like say this PHCN people sef dey one collabo with the fuel merchants). Well let us cut 3k out so we are left with 9k here. Wify can't pack lunch for you everyday now, traffic no go gree that one 4 Lagos. I'ld revise the list again to be; Transport/M Public Transport - N15k Private Car fuellling N25K Fuel for Gen N9K Lunch @ work N7K Food Items @ home N10K Utility BIlls(Gas, PHCN etc) N7K Misc N10K Phone Bills N5K Tithes, Offerings, Donations etc N18K __________________________________ N81k 91k Frivolities not yet included oo. Looking at the above realistically, which one can we adjust or drop |
@ Aproko thanks for that so for tithe, offering, gifts/donations, family/friend you send recharge card or money we add another say 18K Sighs! Bill has already summed up to 87k without personal car 97k with personal car More so let us work with figures for reality sake. |
