American cybercrime expert, Gary Warner, has revealed that the document which alleged that international Internet fraudster Ramon Abbas, better known Hushpuppi, laundered $400,000 in prison is fake.

Warner, the Director of Research in Computer Forensics at the University of Alabama, noted that the document was an edited version of a June 2020 affidavit.

Taking to Twitter on March 17, 2022, Warner disclosed that the new version of the document “was intended to get people to visit a scammer EIP website.”

“People are asking me if it is true that #Hushpuppi laundered $400,000 in #Stimulus cards from in prison,” he wrote.

“The document they show is an edit of a June 2020 Affidavit. The new version is fake, intended to get people to visit a scammer EIP website.”

This came hours after the supposed fraud document, which went viral on Thursday morning, showed that Hushpuppi, who is currently on trial, laundered $400,000 in prison.

Hushpuppi, prominent for his flamboyant lifestyle was arrested at his home in Dubai in June 2020 over criminal charges in the United States for conspiracy to launder money obtained from business emails compromise frauds and other scams.

His trail which was initially scheduled for Valentine’s Day, has been moved to July 11, 2022.

Basketmouth has switched up his look with a spanking new hairstyle. The legendary Nigerian entertainment mogul’s appearance has evolved over the years, starting with the early days of his career when he rocked dreadlocks.

He actually gave up the dreadlocks for a half-on Afro and while that’s been his customary haircut for a long time now, he added a bit of style and flair by lightening the colour of his hair.

Fans, including celebrities noticed the change in Basketmouth’s looks after he shared several photographs on his Instagram, first with singer Buju BNXN and then Fireboy DML.

It appears Basketmouth may also have something cooking with Buju BNXN. The caption on their picture read, BadManBob X BNXN #BadManBlonde.”

Both acts have worked together before, with Buju featuring on the second track of Basketmouth’s second studio album “Horoscope,” on the song titled “Your Body.”

TikTok has enjoyed remarkable growth since it launch in 2016. According to data from Statista, TikTok had already amassed over 310 million downloads on both Google Play and App Store in 2020, making it the quickest app to reach that milestone.

The platform has also achieved massive influence in today’s music industry, sending songs that find popularity on the app to the top of the Billboard charts.

The ByteDance Beijing-owned company began this trend when they acquired popular lip-syncing app Musical.ly, migrated all accounts to TikTok, and successfully relaunched its new product for the overseas market.

Now they have launched a new music distribution service called SoundOn, which lets artists upload their music directly to TikTok and RESSO, and it can also distribute artists’ music to platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

SoundOn is live in the UK, US, Brazil and Indonesia.

According to recent developments, TikTok’s new adventure is powered by digital distribution platform TuneCore.

This means that artists or creators who upload music to SoundOn will automatically have that music distributed to other platforms (Spotify, Apple Music etc.) via TuneCore.

A test version of SounOn had been in use since September 2021, and TuneCore has been TikTok’s distribution partner since then.

The commercial benefits of using SoundOn appears would give other platforms a run for their money, with artists promised 100 percent of the royalties in the first year and 90 percent afterwards, also with a range of promotional and support tools for creators.

The Kunle Afolayan Production (KAP) Film and Television Academy has partnered with Mastercard Foundation’s Young Africa Works to create the KAP e-Learning App for Film & TV production enthusiasts.

If you’re passionate about film and television production, this application is for you. It’s open to young men and women between the ages of 20 and 35 across Nigeria. Via this initiative, the KAP Academy hopes to train a total of 300,000 young Nigerians over the next three years.

Renowned Film Director and Founder of the KAP Academy, Kunle Afolayan revealed the program will kick-off this May 2022 and that candidates from low-income backgrounds will make up 40% of those admitted. He also opined that the selection process will take into consideration a gender balance ratio to allow for adequate participation of women

“The academy is focused on growing the next generation of skilled filmmakers through the tutelage of veterans and film professionals who provide hands-on experience in diverse aspects of filmmaking to enrolled students,” Afolayan stated.

The KAP Academy training will leverage smartphone technology and will hold via the KAP e-Learning app. It’ll include ‘The Masterclass Series’ and two levels of certification from professional institutions in the areas of screenwriting, sound, editing, directing, cinematography, and production design, among others, as well as practical hands-on training.

Korra Obidi’s husband, Justin Dean is prioritizing his mental health and putting an end to his four years marriage for good!

The American-based chiropractor made this known via Instagram on March 15, 2022, where he stated that ending his marriage is one of the hardest decisions of his life.

“Anyone that knows me or watches me online knows that I’m a dedicated family man to both Korra and my children. This is honestly the hardest decision of my life, but necessary.

I’m walking away from this marriage for my mental health and to be the best version of myself. I must set a healthy example for my children,” he wrote.

It was a “2 against one” Twitter fight during the late hours of Monday, March 14, after a Twitter user started speculations over the paternity of Davido’s 3rd child and only son David Ifeanyi Adeleke.

Days after thrilling fans live in concert at O2 Arena, London, Davido has taken receipt of a Mercedes Maybach SUV.

Straight from a wealthy family and doing good for himself, Davido can have whatever he wants. He fitts the bill of a modern hustler who’s never shy of living the dream but also bringing people along with him.

He shared pictures and video clips of the car on his Instagram page, with the caption “Who vex me?”

It would be the third luxury car that Davido is acquiring in barely six months, after previously unveiling a Rolls Royce and a Lamborghini.

The Mercedes Maybach is a special luxury car and an element of culture in the game of music. It has been referenced countless times in Hip Hop by elite musicians including Jay Z who actually owns a couple, Kanye West, Drake, and even Rick Ross who dedicated an entire song to the brand.

Ross’ record label Maybach Music Group is also named after the famous SUV.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie has shared his two cents on the common quote, “Age is just a number”.

The movie star who turns 75 today, March 7, 2022 asserted in a birthday post shared on his Instagram page that “anyone who says age is just a number should subject himself to psychiatric evaluation”.

He further stated that as people get older, they get overwhelmed and try not be weighed down by it.

Pete Edochie is prominent for his role as “Okonkwo” in 1987 mini series, Things Fall Apart, an adaptation of late Chinua Achebe’s book with the same title.

Since then, he has starred in over 200 movies, paving way for many other actors in the movie industry including his sons, Yul and Linc Edochie. A true legend indeed.

Directed and co-written by American director, screenwriter, and producer Matt Reeves and based on DC Comics original character, “The Batman” is an excellent reminder of why we love the cinemas in the first place; it’s the kind of movie that leaves you stuck on your theatre seat wishing the credit scenes never begin.

The film features an ensemble cast including Robert Pattinson in its titular role, Zoe Kravitz, Jefferey Wright, Paul Dano, Colin Ferrel, Andy Serkis, John Turturro, and more.

Unlike most superhero movies, “The Batman” is more of a mystery- a crime-thriller driven by a powerful plot that doesn’t yaw at any point.

Reeves keeps to his promise of a dark-tone Batman movie, focussing majorly on the character arc of the eponym.

Gotham’s founding fathers are called to answer for their sins by the enigmatic Riddler (played by Paul Dano), whose quest for vengeance is rather apolitical, but aimed at the corrupt politicians masquerading as the city’s leadership and mantle of justice.

Whereas, Bruce Wayne, Arkham’s prince charming by day and vigilante under the moonlight doubts his father’s legacy and his own life course in relation to saving Gotham, but eventually finds his feet when he is confronted with the truth.

Batman’s detective skills had never been brought to the fore like this in the past. Although he encounters several other characters like Penguin, Catwoman, and Falcone, the nidus remained on him, with intelligently woven brain-puzzling, fast-paced dialogues, that keep viewers attentive at every point.

Huge praise must also go to Peter Craig, who in collaboration with Reeves is responsible for the screenplay. Not a single dialogue felt cliched or seemed like a filler.

Reeves’ camera angles are also superb and the decision to turn to Michael Giacchino for the movie’s thrumming score was brilliant.

“The Batman” has the best superhero movie score in decades and it is Giacchino’s work that is heard for the the best part of the movie’s 2hrs 50 mins runtime.

Although the film has the second best US first week debut of the post-pandemic era, it will be hard or is almost impossible for it to reach the heights of Marvel’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”

That will probably be down to Warner Bros. marketing and Reeves’ choice to base the movie on themes of horror and mystery. However, with plans for sequels already in consideration, expect “The Batman” to have a cult following among superhero movie fans, who will rate it as one of the best superhero movies ever, if not the outright best.

As part of his Montefiore concert series, Grammy-wining Nigerian singer Burna Boy will be headlining his first ever show at the famous Madison Square Garden in New York City.

According to New York Times Music, Burna will be the fisrt Nigerian to headline a concert at the historical venue.

The show will take place on the 22nd of April 2022 and is entitled “One Night In Space.”

Burna Boy is also expected to headline another concert in the Geneva Arena, in Geneva, Switzerland on the 18th of March, also as part of the concert series.

The 30-year-old singer finally emerged victorious at the Grammys last year (2021) after narrowly missing out in 2020. Since his win, his stock has been on the rise, anchoring several high profile shows around the world and collaborating with several international acts.

2baba has however reacted to the uproar in a post shared on his Instagram story. He explained that he understands that many people are obsessed with font size and respect but it doesn’t change the fact that he is a legend.

Sources close to American rapper, producer, fashion designer, and billionaire Kanye West recently revealed he’s now braced up for divorce with estranged wife Kim Kardashian, in fact, reports suggest is willing to expedite the divorce.
