In 2006, Resonance released an album with multiple hit songs including "chinwe ike", lee lee, holyghost fire, etc. Soon after the album, the group which features the beautiful Esther just faded out of music scene.

I really loved the group's style of composition and Esther's vocal texture especially on the "lee lee" track.

Personally, I alternated both "lee lee" and "chinwe ike" as my ring tone on my Motorola blade.

Who knows what the group has been up to since then?

I have always asked myself this question. Why are we using the dollar system. Why are we exchanging goods & services using the dollar as a reference point?...how did the world get to this point.

I mean first, it was the barter system; which was in its own right effective. But Education said there was no way to quantify what is equivalent to what.. how many tubers of yam should be equivalent to one bowl of rice etc.

Then we went to cowries... Education said the shells were not uniform enough..

We tried Gold.. ah!! Its too scarce...trade deficit issues, it can being down the economy.. blah blah blah.. Government cannot control it...which Government actually? 😏😏

And now it's dollar.. and they say it's efficient because that is the major advantage the US has over other countries.

Kenyan President, Ruto, once asked "why we are trading with US dollar in africa"..Why?.. why give the dollar more power...

The US has its hook in our throat with the dollar. They say prices are controlled naturally but we both know that's not true...

And I'm just here thinking, will we ever get out of this dollar system? The same way we were convinced to leave cowries and gold.. even though we had it in abundance compared to the west.

Now the West is in control...

Where do we go from here?

Nigeria will be better apart I swear!!... either on ethnic grounds or on religious grounds.. infact better on religious grounds... make everybody go their separate ways .. christians have issues among themselves, muslims too have issues among themselves.. but atleast they can go to the Imam or pastor to settle for them .. The ones I have bought have been of very low quality... especially imported from China.. And most people don't even know that you need a power bank to use the USB port feature for charging. They thing the bag itself comes with a power bank of some sort.

Generally, I like the idea but this small size as shown in the pictures eh.. the quality is not so good... its usually quite cheap tho... if you wanna buy, prepare to buy like 2 and make sure its not you're daily driver..

There are bigger sizes and those ones are much better.. I have been using one of the bigger sizes for over 8 years now.. imported from Dubai tho...

Promotion na hustle especially in banks .. This is because the people at the top no dey retire.. e get the level u go reach sef... 10 years u will not see promotion..

What some banks now do is create really unnecessary positions and add small change to your salary to make u feel like ure being promoted...

Imagine entering as Graduate Assistant, maybe 3 years after if you be superstar like the op, you're promoted to Executive trainee..I know people who spent 6 years on this level alone. 6 years after graduation..chai... still a trainee..lol.. and yet I dey work for bank... and you say they should not jump from bank to bank..say they like u or your branch dey do well well... and they promote u again in 4 years or 3 years, you go enter Executive Assistant... lol.. especially Zenith... Access still try sef.. once you enter, do well small and they knack you with Assistant banking officer.. no be Zenith... you no spend at all 8 years.. before you enter ABO.

And bankers can't even move to another industry easily because your experience in banking (especially if you're in operations) is useless outside the banking industry... And if you're just starting out you will likely be in operations unless you use ogboju enter marketing or acquire some certifications to take you to back office positions like IT, Audit, L&, compliance etc which will give u more opportunities when ure ready to japa..

Being a teacher in a private school today has a lot of issues. Job security is a problem..I know some schools that don't employ less than 25.. so if you're employed at 23, you will be sacked in 2 years.. they are ways looking for teachers... plus nowadays, the way parents accuse teachers eh, hmm some schools will sack the teacher before hearing anything just to save face and also because na the parents dey pay salary.... plus the workload now in schools especially with the incorporation of technology into teaching without adequate training or renumerations...it just makes school teaching unbearably stressful...wahala plenty abeg.. especially in all these "wannabe I dey use British syllabus private lessons"
