Let me begin by saying the term good conscience, justice, and equity are absolute legal terms and should not be taken for its surface meaning.

If a teststor, in this case a father, wills all of his estate off to a charity agency, and his family never abandoned him and actually sticked with him through thick and thin, it becomes legally repugnant to good conscience, the Will can be legally contested to seek redress.....

I'll always ensure in making a valid will. There's nothing to invalidate a valid will by a testator.

A valid will overrides all customs and traditions as long as it isn't repugnant to good conscience, justice and equity

Nigerian law recognises customary marriage and considers it equal to registry marriage. It's just that people are ignorant of that. I did just traditional marriage and that is what I used to get my wife a UK dependant visa.

In Nigeria statutory and customary marriages have an ocean of difference.

1) if you marry statutorily, only a Federal HIGH COURT CAN PRONOUNCE YOU DIVORCED!!! ( I think Imo state is the only exception to state courts)

2) If you marry statutorily, you become liable to the offence of bigamy ( the crime of marrying more than one wife) it carries jail time without the option of fine.

3) To process a divorce is expensive. Lawyers charge more going to high courts

4) Your wive gets to keep a certain percentage of your estate in almost any circumstances BY LAW!!!

I lived with a family too due to financial challenges my parents went thru. They reaped me off my self esteem. Being 32 as a guy isn't that old. For most guys, life starts at 30, hence there's a luxury and window of opportunity to make mistakes and live the life during ya 20s. Don't watch others and focus on yourself. At 32 - most of the most powerful and richest guys in the world today, were still trying to figure out what they wanted to do with their lives.

Relationship/companionship is grossly overrated, especially if you're in it for the sake of it. The most sacred and important thing in life is peace. And if you can't get the same peace you get by being alone from companionship/relationship - there's no point being in one.

My opinion is if the wife works, she should share the financial burden at most 20% WITHOUT THE HUSBSAD DEMANDING.

After all, a working wife will sacrifice some amount of home care for office hours.
