blackpanda:The bolded is nothing but the truth. That's the greatest undoing of this nation. |
Truly the DSS should act in good faith to tackle subversive elements. However what would the DSS do when the same government seems to be the Chief promoter of divisiveness through their actions and statements? Till this moment, the secret police are yet to explain how Pantami, despite his background, got their clearance for the ministerial screening. The Divider-in-Chief still has the opportunity to salvage the country before it's too late. |
I hope Prof Ayooola has not at anytime asked for contract or favor from this government. |
Another needless, money wasting charade. We know the candidates have been handpicked by the party 'owners' We know it's compensation for the 'boys' and a means of consolidating on the power. Why waste the people's money and time on the obvious? Local Government elections should be held same time with the state govt elections and be conducted by INEC until the SIEC becomes truly independent. |
Mbaka only attempted to chop where he don work. Or does Garba think all the pecks of the presidency is for him and other members of the cabal. You don't except Mbaka to risk everything for nothing. Everyone na hustler las las |
But come to think of it, didn't Mbaka truly deserve the contract for a job well done? Or is the peck of office meant for only you and the close aides of the President? Where person work na there him go chop. Priest in the day, hustler at night. Even though the intention of Garba is to damage Mbaka, this does not in anyway absolve his boss of the gross ineptitude he's accused of. |
A school proprietor was once reported to have said he has no workers in his school but labourers, hence workers day does not concern him. ...and of course, no holiday was granted the teachers and the students. |
...and what happens when they get home? Aren't people attacked and kidnapped from their homes? Ok. Granted that their homes are fortified, what happens on the road when they are in transit between the office and their abodes? Sadly, in the midst this insecurity, the president, on whose table the buck stops hasn't deemed it fit to address the growing concern of the populace. |
Igbochief001:Then they will have a ready-made scapegoat, someone they can always blame for their failure. With the media in their pocket, Saraki will be painted as the villain. |

How's the rebbutal different from the earlier story? The bottom line is that students who are already in 400L were asked to return to 200L for no fault of theirs. Why will the school, a federal university for that matter admit students and collect fees for an unaccredited course. Isn't that fraudulent? |
A man cannot give what he does not possess. Buhari cannot give what he lacks. Will posterity be kind to him? Time will tell |
When they're done with the hinterlands, won't they eventually move to the fortified towns. Whey they send the students away from schools, won't they go to their homes to find them? Let everyone keep playing the Ostrich. |
He has the constitutional right to vie for the second term but I sincerely doubt if he's popular enough to win the contest. Now that he has tactically revealed that he's coming for a second term, expect the contest within and outside the party to begin shortly. |
It's urgent that the bank put out their address on this issue quickly. This is a very bad publicity and it's unacceptable that it has to involve loss of a precious live. My condolence to the bereaved family. Sadly, it's not as if the bank will come to the customer's aid should there be a fraudulent transaction. This year, two of my acquittance had their card compromised and funds transferred from their accounts ( same bank) to other accounts in two known banks. Despite series of complaint to the bank and copied CBN, ICPC, EFCC etc, nothing was done till this moment. A customer should be treated as a king and be adequately protected. |
Tolumiide:You've got an eagle eye. They probably gather some random people for a fee. The contractor didn't do a good screening or there was no time |
He has the opportunity to deal with them at the teething stage but he chose not for whatever reason. Now that they have grown into a monster and with two years left, he wants us to believe he has the solution. They didn't even say 'now' , they said 'soon'. That means they're not ready yet. |
I'm sure they would have been in the system for an upward of 30years. They must have held critical positions in the 'cabinets' of the previous service chiefs. How come they will still need 6 months to understand the system they've been part and parcel of? This may just be the opinion of Mr. Kalu and may not necessarily represent the position of the service chiefs. Wait for a rebuttal shortly |
Someday the oppressed will rise against the oppressors. The hour is coming. |
Even caught on camera, they'll still claim it's 'doctored' or 'engineered'. Till today, they still act as though Gandollar never happened. However if he's convinced the yet-to-be- released video is doctored, let him get his lawyers on alert already. |
Secret trial? The arrest should have been secret too. |
Time for the leaders in that region to call for a truce and a ceasefire from the parties involved. This does not look a war either party could win. |
Not that the university is even one of the best in Africa o. But from #24000 to #500000? Even though El-Rufai is capable of many things, I doubt if he has reached this threshold. |
Clearly, Pantami is dear, indispensable to the Presidency and very pivotal to whatever goal they intend to achieve. However it will be pleasing for them to consider the redeployment of Pantami to another ministry as so many Nigerians wouldn't be comfortable having a man with such extremist views in the past superintend over the collective data of all Nigerians. Now we can understand why the government insisted on the policy of rehabilitating and reintegrating captured Boko Haram members despite public outcry. Some people may be pulling the strings underneath. |
As long as they still see these attacks as farmer-herder clashes, I'm afraid they are still dancing around the problem. Clearly, one party has always been the aggressor. Anything short of puting the aggressor at bay will be a recipe for an unending crisis, a graveyard peace. |
Banditry will consume the North in no distant time if care is not taken. The Northern leaders can continue to pretend and keep playing the Ostrich. When the chickens eventually come home to roost, they'll all pay for it. O ye southern leaders, look at the handwriting on the walls. |
Don't make laws when you're angry or happy. This may be handy when the opposition clinches Lagos someday. Hope no one will be shouting victimization or persecution. |
Is there any reason to doubt the veracity of the army's claim? Victory to Nigeria against the terrorists. |
The problem isn't just the DSS or the rubber stamp NASS, it's the system that allows the presidency to be extremely powerful such that other institutions are subdued under it. If the DSS has been truly independent, they'll surely have blocked Pantami's nomination ab initio. |
They could have been criminals in military uniform. |
