While not trying to underplay the role of the Vice President in victory of APC in the state, I think it is overstatement to say he delivered Ogun to. APC. Where do we want to place the role of Aremo Osoba, late alignment of OGD and then the mistreatment of the civil servant by the incumbent. The Vice President isn't even considered to be politically from Ogun State. |
The driver might pay for more than what he bargained for eventually. |
This has to be a joke. These men may not be able to withstand the heat at the polling units during suc elections |
Amosun has always leveraged on the cordial relationship between him and PMB. I'm sure his allies will arrange a soft landing for him. As for Okorocha, APC may not need Okorocha to make further inroad into the East |
It was really a disheartening experience for those affected by the vindictiveness of the outgoing governor. The incoming governor should put a a smile on their faces by reabsorbing them and giving them their rightful places after eight years. |
Political sins aren't easily forgiven. I pity Amosun |
wifeesnatcher:You need to ask around what momentum Lado has been gathering before the court stopped him. Had he contested, Dapo of APC would have had it rougher at the Ogun East axis. |
Kashamu played his part of the bargain very well. He was to stop Ladi Adebutu from contesting which he achieved. Had the young man contested, the dynamics would have changed. |
The APC in Ogun sure won't stretch their luck that far. This appears more like a mere ogogoro joint report. Apologies OP. |
I'm still at loss at to why leaders of third world countries go to those developed countries and flaunt wealth. |
Really? Isn't a deputy governor protected by immunity again?. He could however be led out of the venue for the sake of peace |
Damn! Death why? |
Up until two weeks ago, Daniel was one of the main men of Atiku's PDP. How could he have turned around to support APC when his party is also fielding a candidate for same election? |
At this juncture, it may not be premature to conclude that Dapo will be announced the governor elect. Maybe it isn't GNI's destiny to be a Governor. APM will come a distant third. |
He is the APM candidate for that constituency. Seems EFCC has Amosun's time. |
Anyone has the right to aspire to any position within the ambit of the law. Jimi hasn't done anything wrong with his ambition. If Lagos is truly the most populous city in Africa, then still having 20 Local Governments is a great injustice. |
Why weren't they suspended before the presidential elections? |
Papa and Son know the trophy will go to either Dapo or Akinlade. They had to allign differently so as not to lose out whichever way the pendulum swings. Everything na betting! |
I pray the ambition of some men will not eventually set the state ablaze. These people aren't permanent enemies. They will still reunite after the elections to share the spoils. One can only but pity the expendable mugus who defend these politicians with their lives. |
One can only pray against mysterious fire incidents at various INEC offices. |
Oj |
Up until two weeks ago, it appears the election was tilting towards GNI of ADC. But as the case is, Dapo of APC might clinch it. GNI will win Ogun West and have a good show in the Central. Bit it appears the Ogun East are rooting for their own, Dapo. Forget about the noise of Amosun and his stooge, APM will come a distant third. |
There is absolutely no need to argue back and forth. By this time next week, Ogun should have a governor elect already. May the best candidate wins. |
Nothing is impossible. If Akpabio can join APC why not Ekweremadu. It's all about interest and power. Should APC promise him the Senate President seat, the guy will not think twice before decamping as he already was bitter towards the PDP leadership prior to the elections. |
humberjade:Ameachi went to court in 2007 to reclaim his mandate that was given to Omehia after the primaries. Even though he didn't partake in the elections, he was sworn in as the Governor and the rest is history now. If Amosun truly believes that his candidate has been shortchanged, he should have considered the Ameachi - Omehia option |
The desperation of Amosun to install his anointed candidate is already becoming sickening. If truly he was cheated during the primaries, why couldn't he have considered the Amechi option by going to court to reclaim his mandate. Thing is he has the backing of the Presidency. |
RTSC:It is dangerous to sit down and watch the North head that way as long as it is still 'One Nigeria' because the menace will affect everyone. Can we account for the number of dead Soldiers of southern extraction that had lost their lives to Boko Haram? |
What then happens if APC fails to win the guber election in Oyo state? Bunch of jokers. |
Shame on the Northern leaders who couldn't maintain such novel projects Double shame on them that a president of Southern extraction thought it wise to help them get education and they couldn't sustain such lofty ideas. Shame on them as they deliberately keep the Almajiris uneducated. Someday, the chicken will come home to roost. |
Some hours to a general elections, bullion vans were seeing entering a compound. If the EFCC and ICPC cannot invade that compound to at least pretend that they are working and impartial, then such agencies should not be funded any longer from our common patrimony. |
I really do not subscribe to the idea of begging or blackmailing a candidate to concede defeat after election especially when he feels he has been cheated. As a matter of fact, we should even be encouraging such dissatisfied candidates to approach the court for redress as this will strengthen our democracy. Otherwise those who have the might will continue to perpetrate such electoral frauds and we will continue to plead with their victims to accept defeat. |
This election is for GNI to lose. But with what I witnessed in my polling unit last Saturday and from feelers from others around, money will play a major impact on the outcome of the elections on Saturday. |
