To some people, Buhari can do no wrong and they must defend his actions at all cost however irrational they might be. |
Obviously, the VP is helpless as he isn't part of the highest decision making men in the presidency. The sad thing is that he would be vested with the responsibilities of defending this action. |
The funny thing is that PMB may not even be aware of the suspension of Onoghen let alone the appointment of any acting CJN. |
Ok |
Someone should just give this man his Khaki back and let us know we're fully back into the military regime Shouldn't the professor of law know better? Every right thinking Nigeria wants the CJN prosecuted for this alleged crime but why the urgency and resort to self help by this sanctimonious government? Sadly there is very little anyone could do after the head has been cut off. I won't be surprised if the CJN is hounded by DSS, The Police and or the EFCC by tomorrow |
I truly hope we aren't back to Abacha's era as hinted by someone recently. |
The tardiness of Labour has cost them this struggle. The government has already taken the sail off their ship. My worry is just the aftermath effect of this increment from market women, transporters and landlords. |
How come the Southern Kaduna people aren't still able to push one of their own into one of the major parties? The ethno-religious division in Kaduna has not been this pronounced until recently. Isn't this hate speech from the Chief Security Officer of the state? |
I've always regarded Pastor Bakare as a fiery Man of God who would say truth to those in power. It appears he is now very careful in choosing his words and he dare not come hard on the administration he helped installed. Be strong pastor, the Lord is your strength. |
NEMA and the State Emergency Management should come to his aid. The saying has been that the best time to buy your land is during the raining season. I guess it should now be rephrased as the best time to rent a house is during the raining season. |
Truth be told, there is a no way the minders of the President would have allowed him partake in the debate. Who would like to concede an own goal? |
A couple of those in that axis actually have their ancestral root from Niger. If only the Northern leaders and the media will subject this administration to such scrutiny as they did the immediate past one, the menace wouldn't have gone out of hand. Who pays huge ransom to terrorists and expect not to be more emboldened to ask for more? |
What happens to the senatorial ticket? |
Borokini of Nigeria or of Yoruba land? I don't understand. |
There is no love lost between the duo. If it isn't obligatory for the IGP to salute Saraki, I can bet that he too would have l snubbed him. What would posterity say about the IGP as he bows out today? |
The Police still need to unravel what really transpired. Legal minded people should educate us on the propriety or otherwise of parading suspects before newsmen when they haven't been found guilty yet. |
Even Shehu Sanni himself knows that it will be hard for him to return to the Senate. He appears to have fallen out of favor with the presidency. |
Well written satire laced with truths. But then nothing is impossible as long as they can produce evidence on being educated up to secondary school ![]() |
Nairaland , like any other faceless forum afford people the opportunity to vent their frustration at the very least provocation, pass on propaganda, half truth and sometimes outright lies to undiscerning readers. Trying to maintain decorum in a forum of more than two million members might be a daunting task but the 'unbiased' moderators can still try harder to revert this trend of hate and bile spewing. It will be very unfair to dismiss the entire Nairaland just because of the Politics and Religion sections that is notorious for this . Travel, Education, Investment, Family , Romance , Jobs/vacancies and other sections are doing good. Overall, Nairaland is a 'bae' but much could still be done for sanity. |
At this juncture, it is safe to conclude that PDP is out of the governorship race in Ogun state. The Adebutu group would rather pitch their tent with GNI's ADC than support Kashamu already considered an outcast. |
Now we have enough distractions in our hands . When is that presidential debate again? |
I still strongly belief that all the FG desire to achieve from this trial is to discredit and unstettle the CJN ahead of the already envisaged litigations from disputed elections. Clearly, this case won't end anytime soon. |
It could be that the intention of the FG isn't to remove the CJN but to discredit, rattle and disorganize him ahead of the impending litigations that will arise from disputed elections. Lest I forget, when is the PMB O'level certificate case coming up again? |
The CJN bleeped up big time. Only God knows how much he mist have been blackmailed with this infraction. There's no way he would have forgotten to declare such accounts. |
Does it really matter if Buhari himself wrote the petition? What matters is the veracity or otherwise of the allegations. |
The CJN obviously played into the hands of those who never wanted him in that position. Let him clear himself at the CCT |
Isnt it strange that the government that claimed it will be dangerous to replace the service chiefs at this moment will seek to replace the CJN less than 40 days to the general elections? I refuse to believe that only the current IGP is finest officer that can lead the force. |
I'm disappointed. How could he forget such thing as important as asset declaration? Ignorance isn't an excuse joor and not even from someone like him. He has obviously played into the hands of those who were reluctant in making him the CJN and should face the music. No sentiments! The FG should allow the law take it course and not resort into self help. |
Power is transient. The table could turn sooner than expected. ....and Karma they say is a bit**h. |
The police can whisk him to anywhere for further 'treatment' . But the picture above is demeaning and very much unacceptable. Are the wards at the clinic filled up so much that the 'ill' Senator will be placed on a bed in the open like this. I hope those who pulls the string from behind the curtain know that power is transient. |
Maybe INEC should have waited till after the elections before the sale of the 'obsolete' materials. |
Isn't it too late already? It appears the election is for the ADC candidate, GNI, to lose. |
