These aren't the best of time for the Governor. He's really been cowed. He might not even be aware of the entire content of the said budget with the assembly men. |
It has finished! Babachir wey suppose dey either in exile or in EFCC net for the mindless, wicked and inhumane grass cutting scam com dey chuk mouth for election matter. Shame self no dey catch some people. If this government no prosecute am, another one for get him one day. |
It's a pity that the prime witness is no more. The late ambassador self no try - three wives and fifteen children on official tour! Seems wastage of scarce national resources didn't start yesterday. But then what would a family of 19 be doing with 53 suitcases? Weird. |
This is getting messier. It does not appear that Nigeria military is having upper hand in this battle. The morale of the troop is dampened by whatever factor(s) and it is obvious. I understand it might affect our pride as a sovereign nation but it won't be too much for us to ask for international assistance at this stage. |
I tend to respect men who make claims and back such with verifiable fact(s). |
BigND:Lord! Most likely something is fishy. |
The OP will do well to properly format this story with appropriate paragraphs. That said, what I keep seeing is MILITARY BAORD instead of BOARD. Is that deliberate? I can bet that the case will be so frustrated and won't be determined until after the elections. |
Why not refute those false allegations with verifiable facts to put the fake news peddlers to shame. Would that be too much? One thing is clear, no party has done a fraction of what APC of Lai and ElRufai did to the immediate past government |
If not for the support of the president he enjoys , Oshiomole would have sanctioned this governor. The election is for the ADC candidate to lose. |
It could be that Mr. Ribadu is privy to some information not known to the Prof and the rest of us. As for the 40 cars, he could be acting as front to some moneybags. |
DonFreshmoney:This should settle the argument |
When the result of this constant attacks on farmers and farmland hit us, I hope we will survive it. This is invitation to famine and food shortage. I hope the governor is wise enough to insure his farmland |
Yeah right. The state is well positioned to gain from the overflows of Lagos if only politicians in that state woulld eschew politics of bitterness and vindictiveness as governance is continuum |
War is something very undesirable. One cannot but sympathize with the affected people and let no one blame them for their choice of candidate in 2015. We all make mistakes sometimes. |
Seen. I expect the Nigeria Army to also release video of the gallant officers patrolling this same area to counter the claim of the terrorists Obviously one of the two sides isn't telling the truth and Nigerians know who to believe. At this rate, will it be too much for Nigeria to ask for foreign support to be able to effectively engage the terrorists? |
I hope they won't come for punch soon. A government that is obsessed with blaming its inadequacies on its predecessor is bound to underperform. We have read here several times that you don't reinforce failure in the military. There should have been a comprehensive overhaul of the military right from the top. |
Did I just read that the case has been decided way back in 2009? Who would have thought that those whose pastime was criticizing and hauling invectives at the government while in opposition wouldn't be able to take a fraction of what they did now that they are in power. Deji should be strong as power is transient |
When Yaradua was sick, those who were at the forefront of the agitation for him to make public details of his sickness suddenly went dumb when same thing happened to PMB Those that protested against subsidy removal during GEJ tenure couldn't muster enough courage to condemn such now that it is PMB All manner of insults and invectives were hauled at GEJ and the army when BokoHaram seemed to be pounding the army. Same thing is happening now under the super General and same people have lost their voice. I dislike hypocrites. |
junnyjake:Damn! That is the definition of being under occupation. |
For sure, Lagos will not be celebrating a rail line this period. That coup was a great set back for the development of the country. Come to think of it, how do you justify sacking Shagari on the premise of massive corruption and then going ahead to serve under the most corrupt military regime of Sanni Abacha ( evident from the unending repatriation of his loot from Switzerland). Isn't that hypocritical? |
Something is obviously emboldening these assailants from Libya or Mali to perpetrate crimes of such magnitudes. I wish the Police could be motivated to also lay a siege for these bandits in Benue and Zamfara like they are doing somewhere now in Abuja |
This had better not be true. I mean it can't be true. For the sake of my sanity, I'll rather wait for more credible sources. |
So the police can keep vigil like this. How come Maina was able to escape? How come the marauders from Libya or is it Mali are able to stroll in and out to attack Benue, Kaduna and Zamfara easily? |
What's wrong in a minister identifying with his culture? It's election time, so what? |
The people I see in those pictures are grown ups who should be able to decide what is good for themselves plus it doesn't appear they are doing this under duress. Let no one moralise on them. Some people do way more than this behind closed door. This mental and religious slavery won't go away easily because those benefitting from it won't let go easily. |
Was he taken to the hospital thereafter? |
Pulling down the billboards isn't a sign of political maturity. Besides, when the president comes to town, it is not unusual to see security men dotting the street, this may explain the presence of the soldiers there. But bia OP, the stadium was almost filled to the brim, were they imported from Kano? |
Maybe if the Khaki boys had not kicked out Shagari just maybe our democracy could have deepened beyond this. Maybe we would have produced strong institutions instead of strong men. Shagari was alleged to lead a corrupt regime but what is incontrovertible is that those that came after him didn't fare better. I don't seem to get this idea of naming public institutions after dead leaders. What happens to honoring them while still alive? |
PMB is already demystified. If he had not won in 2015, we would have thought he was the best president Nigeria never had especially on security, himself being a Retired General. We would have believed he would lead from the front and pursue Boko Haram across the border. |
Who will close down all these dillapidated public schools with classrooms not fit as goat pen? If the government care so much about quality of education, it should be evident in the public schools. It's just a strategy to generate money into government purse. Upon hearing this news, the operators will begin to run helter skelter to beat the deadline. |
Now it is convenient to deduce that Dino's adversaries have perfected plans to shake him and possibly keep him out of circulation till after the elections. Again, I hope if and when the table turns, those who are applauding the aggressors now won't be shouting victimization later. |
But who or what is giving SDP a false hope? Why wasting scarce resources to prosecute a presidential electioneering that will most certainly come to a nought. They should rather use their money to support their state assembly candidates and maybe House of reps in places where they are strong. Oh I see, everyone wants to have a party to negotiate with. It's business after all. |
