Very well said Prof. But I hope you are aware sir that it's almost three years and you and your boss are yet to prosecute any high profile corruption case to a logical end. Quit telling us what we know already, it's nauseating |
This is a country where police could work without waiting for the presidential directive Let's wait and see if his tribe's men and religious associate would shout witch-hunt. I wish same could be replicated here. I just wish. |
The people of Benue and Abia should massively REJECT the Federal Polytechnics and demand for Federal Universities of Technology instead. My humble opinion though |
Those who brought him power did so because it was expedient. Majority of Nigerians yearn for a change. Those who should repent and seek for forgiveness are those who see him as their meal ticket and would like to perpetuate him in power. Those who stole blindly and cluelessly should also seek forgiveness for making GMB an option in the first instance |
The police should not allow itself get dragged in the mud further by the two opportunists in Kogi. They are parts of the reasons why people say the youths are not ready to lead. |
Elections are coming and they would start telling us what we love to hear Dogara and others in authority shouldn't be telling us we need restructuring. If they are sincere, they should kick-start the process and stop telling us what we know already. On another note, even if we restructure, won't these same players bastardise the new venture? I'll support a new structure that would edge out the current and past political office holders or wither down their influence to a large extent. |
TheDevilIsALai:Government-owned secondary schools in Nigeria close schools by 1 pm or thereabout on Fridays to allow Muslims observe Jummat service. Same thing for offices and parastatals. It shouldn't be too much for WAEC to just leave the hours of 1-3pm on Fridays for Muslims to observe Jummat. In a sane society devoid of mutual suspicion, non-muslims should even be at the forefront of the agitation for the exclusion of examination during the Jummat period. |
It's depressing how some people just throw insults without even considering the facts raised by the man. |
Ride on Mr. Sagay. But please don't forget the salary and allowances of the President, the Ministers, the governors and all other political office holders. Thank you while we await |
In that case, the president should visit almost all states including Lagos and Ogun for ritual killings. Why not simply call it a state visit by the President so as to avoid unnecessary backlashes |
Mr. Sowore should not just start his campaign like our usual cluelessly dishonest politicians. Of what importance is the 100k min. wage that wld stil be rendered useless by the ever rising inflation? Instead of appealing to emotions, a serious contender should show us how he would raise the buying power of naira. |
Yeah. We know the National Assembly drains our national pocket. What we don't know yet is how much damage the Executive is doing. If Mr. Sagay knows this much about the National Assembly, I assume that he must also be in the know of the President's, Ministers' and governors' allowances they have refused to disclose. He should therefore, as a matter of patriotism, help us blow the lid. Btw, I'm still surprised that the labour and civil societies are yet to picket the National Assembly. |
Fourth term? Well whatever rocks their boat. Chinese President too just won another term and might even be president for life. This sit tight syndrome isn't an Africa thing after all. Congratulations. |
There isn't anything Nigerian politicians aren't capable of doing. We should begin to learn not 'bat an eyelid' whenever they spring their surprises If joining APC would guarantee him his coveted second term, then he won't hesitate before decamping. Someday our politicians would be cured of this acute 'anywhere belle face' syndrome |
I'd love that this is contested in the court of law instead of the public court of opinion. It will further strengthen our democracy So I hope. |
Please do and retrieve the girla at least to redeem the image of the army. There is a beer parlour conspiracy theory going around that the abduction was an 'arrangee' kidnapping for whatever reason(s) Even though the circumstances around the abduction might be fishy and might tend to give credence to these theories,. some us still trust in the competence of the security agents to bring back the girls. |
I have every reason to believe that PMB isn't in charge of this administration. Granted that he wasn't aware that the IGP flouted his directive to move to Benue ( which in itself is a sign of gross ineptitude), I expected PMB to announce the suspension of the insolent Police Chief on the spot for such disregard. The query that is even being disputed is just too mild for such blatant disrespect to the Office of the President. Could it be that PMB is indebted to the Police Chief as being speculated? |
Gathering of the same opportunist hawks that bleed Nigeria to her knees. All of them. Yeah. Anyone that has held any political post is guilty and I do not see the solution coming from them. How can a former governor who benefited immensely from the infamous security vote and other sundry allowances to the detriment of his state, without any remorse, now begin to pose as the Messiah? How do we explain any former NASS member who enjoyed the outrageous allowances in the hallowed chamber without qualms now begins to chant new songs. Let's not even talk about OBJ, the one who had the opportunity on the platter of Gold, to salvage the nation, but blew it. All of them are guilty, including the current anti-corruption chanters |
If Macron can do it in France, who says you or any other qualified youth cannot do it in Nigeria? It's going to be a very very tall order though. |
Where is Atiku's original post? And where is the FFK's alleged distorted version? So I can be the judge |
The man probably woke up this morning with no slightest thought of being 'planted' before 4pm today. A very great lesson to everyone especially those of his former colleagues still feeding fat on the wealth of the masses Not even a single kobo was interred with him Death is enough sermon for humans |
Every soul shal taste death. Reason not to mock the dead. |
There isn't any significant difference between the two parties. Same players, different platforms. Btw, do they normally do a roll call of the defectors at such gatherings? |
That's gross! Frankly though, PMB's performance has been unimpressive so far and it appears as if he was hyped into power. There's is a huge disparity between what they told us GMB was and what PMB is. |
He is simply telling us what has been speculated before. If he wants to be taken serious, he should reveal the immoral security vote and other crazy allowances they take. He should then atone his 'sins' by making efforts to refund his own immoral share and stop taking the ex-governor's allowance |
Pataricatering:Exactly what I meant by 'strengthening our democracy' It is hightime we began to test some of these democratic processes at the Supreme Court so that everyone wld know his place. |
Jibrin, next time, see no evil, hear no evil. Shehu Sanni should be warming up for his own 'forced leave' for comments and revelations capable of inciting the docile masses against the 'honourable' assembly. But seriously what becomes of the budget padding allegation? |
The National Assembly, for the first time, might be left with no other choice than to override PMB on this. I hope it will further strengthen our democracy |
Even though the source isn't credible enough, but there is nothing Nigeria politicians aren't capable of doing. Shehu Sanni revelation is enough reason for the Civil Society Organizations and Labour Unions to picket the National Assembly until the sleaze going on their is reversed. Watch out as Fayose retires into opulence after 'a meritorious service' to his state. Afterall Lagos, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and almost all other states have such mouth-watering packages for their Ex-Chief Executives. |
In simple, clear and unambiguous term, PMB isn't in charge of this administration. |
JAMB is a rip-off and I have always maintained that the UTME fee shouldn't have been up to #5500 for a three-hour exam, the validity of which is still a year. Imagine paying another #2500 for a date of birth correction. |
