And av been to ewang estate 3times this week including ystdy! This OP is a dolt. Lemme is seriously peaceful and in order. i'm still going there today before travelling! The only happening along lemme is the newly constructed 6lanes by hitec with nice streetlights No be only blood that flowed, na river! [/quote You are not very correct. The building in question is a storey building beside a petrol station. I passed through Leme ds afternoon and one can conspicuosly see the window-pane of the ground floor broken plus other signs of fresh damages. The story was even discussed slightly on radio (Rockcity FM) The gist is that the newly inaugurated state APC exco members are majorly loyalists of the former Governor, Segun Osoba who has a strained relationship with the Governor hence the attack purpotedly led by a loyalist of the governor who is also the chairman of the state's Park and Garages. |
mogentle: Young man,why don't you grow up. Since when did this happen? Why did OGD waited till PDP lost election before he started his kangaroo recruitment? Was it not to cause trouble for the incoming govt? Whether you like it or not, every govt will be ready to score political points, So Amosun has his promises of job provision to fulfill. Do you still have more in your dustbin?I know someone wil stil bring this sentiment into the issue of the disengaged workers. While it is true that OGD did the recruitment at the twilight of his administration but remember he was the sitting governor then and there is no law restrainin a govenor from recruiting anytime the vacancies arise. Please in all sincerity, politics apart, which of the two recruitment exercises looked credible to you? I wonder why you seems to forget easily that Osoba did the same recruitment while leaving office and they were not disengaged by OGD when he took over. You see, it takes the ingenuity of an administrator to be able to identify the trap set for him by his predecessor and try as much as possible to avoid it. Amosun do not seem to posses such quality. Please be sincere, if you were among those recruited after long search for work, wil you decline such offer? My brother, if truly those 2000 workers wil pose any threat to the new administration(financialy), what logic does it now make that about 3 months after their disengagement, more than 6000 new hands were recruited, haba! That's wickedness! See, I expect everyone to help condemn this inhumane treatment because we can never tell whose turn it will be next. Are you also aware that they were not paid a kobo throughout their 3months in service? Ponder about these bro and reconsider your stand. Thank |
mogentle: @Kushy, 234GT, & Olugbenger. ...same voice, different IDS.You see, the moment you begin to see every critics of Amosun as OGD 'boys', then you begin to miss it. I know of countless number of people who dislikes OGD with passion and yet will not stop criticising SIA whenever he errs. That to me, is the best way to keep these elected officials on their feet and make them work harder instead of singing their praises all the time and make them complacent. Afterall, they are being paid hugely from our common wealth. |
234GT: Amosun came in and sacked people who were employed through due process. Nobody is talking about these set of disengaged workers again. The issue of d 2000 disengaged workers is a very low point for ds administration. It portrays the govt as a very vindictive and highly vengeful. Unless those people are rightly sorted out, I see this case coming back to hunt the govt later on. It still baffles me how a govt could disengage workers after working for close to 3 months without a kobo only to replace them with more than 6000 new hands few months - thats wickedness! The recruitment process that brought the 2000 workers on board was even transparent enough, interviews, both written and oral were conducted unlike the shady and shoddy one done by the present govt . |
Even a blind man could attest to the unprecedented infrastructural development going on in the state. The state has become a massive construction site, with fly over bridges adorning everywhere. But beyond that, some other enlightened citizens are asking questions on the actual debt profile of the state, the manner of expending the IGR, who gets what project and why(wether there is any competitive bidding or not) and so on. Unfortunately, the state assembly is populated by the govt loyalist and most unfortunately is the fact that the media houses in the state are overtly sympathetic to the govt. Sincerely, I wish Ogun and other states will be subjected to the kind of media scrutiny Lagos, Kano and Akwa-Ibow attract. |
Hendrixtzee: honestly, I try to respect the belief of others no matter the race, religion or geographical location. If u happily say u r an atheist or wateva sch of thought, I av no problem wt dt. But I am a Christian, I choose to remain a Christian, I av inner convictions supportive of me being a proud Christian. I wld appreciate if u stop acting so wild n respect our beliefs as Christians... Finally, I wldnt bother u wt sermons, I pray u meet good Christians that wld affect u positivelyI'm kind of surprised to read a christian or any other imported religion practitioner preaching respect for other religions because that has been the trademark of these foreign religions. They openly and publicly demonize and ridicule other faiths apart from theirs especially the traditional faiths. Like the guy u quoted rightly observed, the true name is Yeshua. |
Someday, I hope I shall have cause to refer to this thread. |
truthman2012: Firsly, Jesus is not only worshiped after his death, he was worshiped in his lifetime, even as a baby (Matthew 2:11). The first people who worshiped Jesus were not ordinary people, they were WISE men. It is only the WISE that worship Jesus till today. No sir, I beg to disagree with you. Jesus was REVERED and not WORSHIPPED by the three wise men or any other persons whille still living. Had they done that, he would av bn put to death for heresy by the Jews way back before his fated crucifixion( the same charges that were later cooked up to have him dead anyways) As to who actually founded christianity which some see as Paulinity, u wil admit that Jesus had 11 (minus Judas) disciples and a pocket of followers before his death who were not even worshipping hm but GOD through him. They weren't even called christians until years after his death when the self acclaimed Apostle Paul took over. My point is Jesus, like any other gods, was not worshipped but revered while living. My grouse wth some of u religious folks is your penchant at dismissing other peoples' faith as evil while at the same time trying to shove your faith down their throats. The bottom line is, whatever you accuse Islam of (idolatry et al) u'll find it in abundance in christianity or Paulinity as some would av it called. |

truthman2012: People may fuse Roman paganism into their own Christianity, they are wrong for doing so.If u are aware that the idolatry of early Romans was fused into christianity which is still in practice til today, why then do you condemn other pple's faith for such things ? As for other religion founders being dead, I expect u to know that Paul, the defacto founder of christianity is long dead too. Christ did not found christianity while on earth, he only became the object of worship after his death, the same way Ogun and Sango became deities to there followers after theirs deaths. By d way, who told u the adherents of other faiths do not hear from their gods. Just like u'll claim to av heard from your lord or his spirit ( definitely not physical communication) other pple too av the right to claim they commune with their lord and u don't av any moral right to call it a lie. U see, the issue is, worship your god and let other persons worship theirs. |
truthman2012: Does that remove the falsehood in islam? Haven't you seen how islam is a device of the Devil?and christianity d device of d God? please spare me that. U want to feign ignorance of how many early indigenous Roman Pagan beliefs that were fused into d christianity, right? U see, I hate it when u pple demonize other pple's faith as if any is better. |
Dap07: OP, you have gone too far on this, your case is like the pot calling the kettle black. Even though the two religions are both of deceit and fraud, one going this far to condemn the other is hypocrisy at its peak. Matt 7:3-5Shouldn't these xtians remove the dirts in dia eyes before attempting to question others. Why is d OP ranting as if we do not know that whatever Islam is accused of today, d early christians av done worse. |

It’s an incredible con job when you think about it, to believe something now in exchange for something after death. Even corporations with their reward systems don’t try to make it posthumous. — Gloria Steine |
"Tell me there is a God in the serene heavens that will damn his children for the expression of an honest belief! More men have died in their sins, judged by your orthodox creeds, than there are leaves in all the forests in the wide world ten thousand times over. Tell me these men are in Hell; that these men are in torment; that these children are in eternal pain, and that they are to be punished forever and forever! I denounce this doctrine as the most infamous of lies." - Robert G. Ingers |

The same PDP that provided the platform through which u became a Senator. This man will say the same thing to APC when he is frustrated out again. ... and he will crawl back to the shade under the umbrella like Atiku. |
anonimi: I guess we can expect this "good man" to not only REJECT the illegal monthly mega millions SINators receive but to campaign vigorously for others to follow his noble example.God bless u. The hypocrisy of these opposition parties sometimes put me off. Why hasn't any of the self acclaimed PROGRESSIVES in the National Assembly openly reject the jumbo pay. Why hasn't any of their GOVERNORS openly declare their security vote? Is dia any of these opposition GOVERNORS that is not also making allocation for d pet projects of their first ladies? There are as much rot in the state as in the federal. They should just stop insulting our sensibilities with the toga of 'progressives' |
Billyonaire: Amaechi should prove that he is not the sponsor of APCI beg to disagree wit u sir. It is incumbent on the one who accuses to back it up with convincing evidence(s) |
When Amosun was jumping from PDP to ANPP then to ACN, nobody tagged that greed. Now when some other persons do the same thing, they become greedy.why d double standard? We don't all have to belong to the same party, varieties is the spice of live. Nemesis is a bi*ch, this same Pastor Remmy Hassan was an arrow head of the group that tormented Daniel to the amusement of the Amosun and co. Was he not celebrated when he ditched PDP for ACN, Now that the chicken had come home to roost, APC supporters should take it in good faith |

It wil still be ur word against his. Farouq Lawan vehemently denied taking bribe from Otedola until d video evidence proved otherwise. So dear, a video or audio evidence would suffice, otherwise, ds is cheap character assassination. |
I love these intrigues, permutations, calculations and analysis. Politics has always been about interest, so no one should be blamed. As beautiful as this is, I doubt very much if there would be any elections in some parts of the North come 2015. |
Religion and tribalism are d major albatross of our political progress. His physical appearance does not depict him as someone fit to govern a state. I don't wish him death but that seems to be the only thing that can make his handlers relinquish the post. Taraba is largely a christian state and they don't seems to want to let go. |
Recently when a sales girl refused to show a bag to Oprah, you all shouted racism. I'm sure if a WHITE man has said such a thing to BLACK man, ye all will be on ds platform screaming racism. I think there should be no double standard, Keshi went too far if he indeed uttered those words. |
What about an order to nip the strike in the bud ? I'm not very impressed wit an order coming 2 months after. |
It beats me how anyone could rejoice over ds sheer politicking to garner support for Jonathan. Much as I understand the desire of the SE region to have an additional state, is it not crystal clear that such power is NOT vested with the presidency? If Jonathan has such power, SS region would be having close to 8 states by now. |
"Osoba is a national leader who was not expected at the event " How lazy? Where else would you have expected him? At the international launch of the party? What about the absent state lawmakers? Who didn't know there is a cold war between Osoba and Amosun and the state assembly is polarised towards that direction. When the internal wrangling in this party blossoms, everyone wil understand the maturity of PDP. |
