ASUU have really outdone themselves on this. As a bunch of intellectuals they want to be seen, You dont hold the whole nation to ransome just because your demands are not met.
Some factions of union workers went on strike in Uk some weeks back and guess what they did? Well, ur guess is not as good as mine. They simply staged a walk-out of four (4) hours. Yeah, you heard me right, four good hours and their points were duly made and noted.
Sometimes, its not jst about whether you win or lose but simply abt the fight.
Now, the govt has turned almost everybody against ASUU, even the parents now despise ASUU and the very students ASUU claimed they are fightin for know they are nothin buh merely a mean to a selfish end in the hand of ASUU.
You look at our public universities and you see a lotta ills been propagated by lecturers and school managements buh ASUU seem to be blind to see. I've not seen a simple effort made to correct these ills. For example, in my school i'm mandated to pay #5k for ICT amongst other ludicrous fees yet i've neva touched a school owned computer system neither am i allowed access to the school wifi.
Its very obvious all ASUU ever wanted is some funds they are gon misappropriate the first chance they get and of cuz, the salaries they never worked for.
