robonski15: Met a nairalander last week.. I have been following her comments for sometime now because she is someone that has a good sense of humour.. I decided to drop a pm and we began talking then later exchanged bb pins..

We decided to meet on a particular day Though she reside in another state, just a couple of hours.. On that day she told me she was on her way, I doubted her at first but later I realised she was truly coming.. After some hours she finally landed at my place, she is the most prettiest girl I have ever met.. She had a good height, pretty face, plush skin infact she was totally gorgeous..

We went out to eat and came back and we began talking about so many things, and the way she analysed every topic made me wonder her level of reasoning considering her age, this made me liked her so much.. We chatted till mid night and slept off... The next morning she had to leave, I tried persuading her to stay one more night but alas she is a very principled young girl.. I escoreted her to the park and she left..

Since she left, every day and night I think about her and am already in love with her, I just hope we carry the relationship to the next level..

Here's mine, this happened some 3years back. I met him on MTN africhat. I was in calabar then with my sis we chatted for a while n den exchanged phone numbers after abt a mnt we decided 2 meet up, all this time we've been chattin we didn't exchange pics but I did describe myself to him I am tall(5ft7), big and beautiful*winks*. Nw dis guy didn't discribed himself 2 me and till dis day I still wonder why he showed up. I got to the spot we agreed to meet I went with my sis n I waited for this guy for almost an hour he finally showed up and I couldn't believe my eyes; he was like 4ft5 and very very skinny. I just thanked my lucky stars dat it was dark out already. I was polite, we chatted for a while n after I left he called n said he will like for us to meet again I told him I couldn't cause d difference between us was too damn much. Till date my sis still teases me abt it. So nw I dnt go out without getin d full details n pics to boot.

Religion / Must We Pray Violently To God For It To Be Answered? by Licensed2Kill(m): 9:22am On Oct 13, 2013
I used to attend this church that the pastor was of the opinion that prayers are answered quickly by how much loud and violent you could get while praying to God.
He often quote Matthew 11:12 which says;
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent taketh it by force
I used to dread the part where each person has to pray with a partner holding each other's hands because it seems all your partner is tryin to do is to rip out ur arms from their sockets with the constant and endless shovin and pullin. The doctrine is that you must sweat, you must labour, you must be loud, you must be physical and you must be dramatic while prayin. I shit you not. I've seen lots of ppl givin blows punches to the imaginary devils in front of them while prayin to God to kill such demons.
Personally, i dont think God is that deaf or that we must engage the act of violence while talkin to our Creator. I stand to be corrected.
Finally, when you go to Church dont give God orders; just report for duty.

RoyPCain: i am not a supporter of gowon and almost all the administrations since him. i think gowon was particularly corrupt if only measuring his wedding victoria [an igbo woman] with so much lavishness in the height of the war. gowon should even be seized now and charge to court in nigeria for his action.

i do not think ojukwu was a good leader either for not knowing how to keep peace. to you youth, i was almost in high school when the war started so this is not a history book thing or somebody embellishing a story to make himself look like a victim or a hero.

the people advocating biafra should know that if you get it, the igbo will discriminate against the minority ethnic groups as the dust settles. the yorubas who are mose homogenous among the 3 sectional countries that may emerge from the dissolution of present day nigeria may probably at some future point, discriminate among themselves by the ara oke and atoun rewa mindset.

every person thinks he is better in theory, if not in practice and that is attested within family structure; father thinks he must dominate mother because of gender. children do the same by birth right. there are many artificial proposition people use.

its high time the youths if they truly believe the future is for them to shape abandoned tribalism. go for nation building and build it faster than america did from first world war onward. france may bully nigeria today. if you youths make your nation of tomorrow emerge as powerful as france, by sheer nearness to the theater of war, france will be powerless and you can decimate her because you will have population advantage above all.

the disaster of the past, each of the leaders of the past has a slice of the blame. it is dishonest to imagine some are blameless. you have nigeria. work hard to make her great. america was not born great. it is by hard work that everyone wants to come to her.

best wishes to all of you.

Have they provided portable water for even half the populace ?
i wonder what products their brain is made of. Granted some so called "pure" water are not that hygienic buh isnt that what organisations like NAFDAC are for. Why dont they just fizzle out those "pure" water that are not up to the required standard.

musiwa1l: I will be honest with you people. the federal govt should hand over federal universities to state. State can manage universities better . State can use its ministry of works, health, housing etc to help the universities. the centre govt cant do that. Someone far away is hard to know the needs of the students.

state universities are now doing better than federal universities because the federal money is stolen in the center. And you want to remove totally education from the center but to the state.

Removing education from the concurrent powers list to state exclusive list is best for education.

I believe state can handle it better.

some state have better universities than the federal universities.

some state charge less money than the federal govt universities.

you dont need many universities , one university can hold 100,000 students

Romance / Falling In Love by Licensed2Kill(m): 6:39pm On Oct 06, 2013
Love is not easily understood by most people unless they have experienced it. If you think of your past love then you may view it as a failure. But when you find a new love and again you view the past as a teacher.
In the game of love, it does not really matter who is the winner or loser. What is important is that you know when to hold on and when to let go! You know you really love someone when you want him or her to be happy, even if
his or her happiness means that you are not part of it. Everything happens for the best. If the person you love doesn’t love you back, don’t be afraid to love someone else again, for sure you will never know unless you give it a try.
You never love a person you love unless you risk for love. Love strives in hurting. If you don’t get hurt, you don’t learn how to love. Love doesn’t hurt all the time. Though the hurting is still there to test you, to help you grow. Do not find love, let love find you that is why its called falling in love because you do not force yourself to fall. You just fall. You cannot finish a book without closing its chapters. If you want to go on, then you have to leave the past as you turn the pages.
Love is not destroyed by a single failure or
won by a single cares. It’s a lifetime venture in which we are always learning, discovering and growing. The greatest irony of love is letting go when you need to hold on and holding on when you need to let go. We lose someone we love only when we are destined to find someone else who can love us even more than we can love ourselves.
On falling out of love, take some time to heal and then get back on the horse. But do not ever make the same mistake of riding the same one that threw you off the first time.
To love is to risk rejection to live is to risk of dying, to hope is to risk failure. But risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is risking nothing! To reach for another is to risk involvement, to expose your feeling is to expose true to yourself, to love is to risk not to be loved in return. How to define love: fall but do not stumble, be constant but not too persistent, share and never be unfair, understand and try not to demand, hurt but never keep the pain.
Loving someone means giving her/him freedom to find his/her way, whether it leads towards you or away from you.
Love is a painful risk to take but the risk must be taken no matter how scary or painful, for only then you’ll experience the fullness of humanity and that is love.
Only love can hurt your heart, fill you with desire and tear you apart, Only love can make you cry and only love knows why, If you’re not ready to cry, if you’re not ready to
take the risk, if you’re not ready to feel the pain then you’re not ready to fall in love.
There was a time in our lives when we became afraid to fall in love `coz every time we do, we get hurt, then I figured that is why its called falling in love.

Romance / What I've Learned... by Licensed2Kill(m): 3:10pm On Oct 06, 2013
What I've learned cannot be expressed through words but
rather feelings. I've learned that it's nice to be important but it's
more important to be nice. To feel noticed, to feel someone cares, to
have the ability to make someone laugh or believe in something is worth more than any held position.
What I've
learned is that actions speak louder than words. Whether behavior is directed in a
positive or negative way, it affects people.
It teaches you who to trust, what to believe, when to move on. I've learned that in order to become something more, sometimes you have to let go. By not taking any risks, you
risk even more.

I've learned that a moment is only time fleeing by, grab it or it's gone, that things don't always work the way you hope for but you have to keep your head up.

I’ve learned you can’t wait for the perfect moment; you have to make the moment your own because time waits for no one.
You mustn’t miss your chance to let your unknown feelings be heard.

I’ve realized I would rather regret something I have done than what I haven’t done because looking back on the past couple
of weeks, if I wouldn’t have done things I have, I know I would have regret not doing it. But
what I've learned most importantly is when it comes down to it, we
all want to be loved.
