FamilyRe: 'I Moved Out Of My Parents House Because Of My Mum" - Lady by Lightening: 12:05pm On Mar 04, 2018
CastedAyo:
A Nigerian lady shared the reason why she left her parents home. According to her, she constantly gets into fights with her because she's consistently reminding her how her mates are married, and she's still in their house.

She said she doesn't have a problem with her father because he didn't disturb her, but she is uncomfortable living in the house because of his mother, so she decided to rent her own apartment.

As seen of The Human of Abuja page;
"I moved out of my parent's house last month because I was always getting into fights with my mother. She was always reminding me day and night about how most of my mates are married and I was still in the house. Always comparing me with her friends' daughters that are married. It got to a point where the house because very uncomfortable for me. Day and night that's all she talked about.

My dad doesn't have any issues with my being unmarried. I am not the only unmarried 26 year old, but my mother always made it seem so. I decided to rent my own apartment in order to regain my peace of mind. My family house is here in Abuja and I rented a house here too. I think giving them some space is just the best decision."

Your mum means well. She wants you to also stand up and be counted. She wants you to make her proud. If you step into her shoes tomorrow, you will do same thing. It is human.

I pity the parents in that part of this country especially with the ways they are raising children. No moral whatsoever, if a child could murder his parents then something is wrong somewhere. Even common animals give their parents regards no matter what. I live with some of them in Lagos here and I sincerely say that the situation needs urgent arrest. one Igbo guy just packed out of the parents house because they rebuke him for not serious with his education. This is a secondary school students for God sake. just and see how they will crucify me here for telling them the truth. Igbo parents need to change their orientation on bringing up children. They are too weak in that area
You tribalist! Igbo kids are not the most delinquent in the country. Bad or entitled upbringing is not ethnic. You see the instances all over. Hm?

Fear has gripped residents of Ezimuku, Agbaja in Abatete area of Anambra state after a young man killed his own father and stabbed his mother in a tragic incident which happened earlier today. According to reports, the reason why the man meted out the horror on his parents is still unknown.

He was arrested by the Abatete vigilante group and placed in handcuffs as he was handed over to the police.

They must have raised a child with a sence of entitlement but ultimately could not keep up with his many demands; which, to him, means they are better dead. So sad!

Is she your "Niece"? , is Anthony Joshua life and decision suppose to be your concern?, huh?

Yes, he knows what African culture entails, he knows that her niece will grow to be someone's wife, he has every right to father her strictly the way he wants.

All the ladies that weren't brought up strictly and great discipline, what did they turn out to be? whoré, hoe, bitches and wannabe feminists that does nothing than to sleep around and ask for money from men due to their inability to become a responsible woman, wife and mother to the society.

Was it not such constructive criticism of the catholic establishment by Marthin Luther ( a catholic priest himself) that eventually gave rise to the booming Pentecostal movement, and the church became better for it. Yet you are pained by same criticism that has started discussions that is bound to lead to another round of badly needed reform in today's church. What arrogance!

Sir, don't turn logic on its head. Can you list all the markets built by the Federal government and their locations. We don't have any problem with state or local government building cattle colonies if that is the yearning of their people, but a federal government that has reneged on all their core responsibilities to the masses is seriously agitating for a thing as infinitessimal as building cattle colonies that will serve the interest of a few in cattle business is worrisome.

Christianity EtcRe: Benny Hinn: I Am So Wrong About Prosperity Gospel, I Don't Fly Private Jets by Lightening: 6:09am On Feb 24, 2018
HigherEd:
I would tell you that there is little wrong in the prosperity that Oyedepo preaches

1) I have never seen Oyedepo on TV asking for anybody to give to his ministry, schools etc.....

2) I have seen Oyedepo's car before(the one he drives himself). He has been using the same silver car for about three years or so. While I don't know the model, it is a very average car. Seen his house too and sitting room - very very average.

3) As per jet, Benny does not have 6,000 branched churches, Schools to administrate over, Oyedepo does. Ghana branches of Living Faith alone is 150 scattered everywhere. In one particular month he visited 27 countries hence his ministry requires it not as a luxury but a quick means of transportation. So hey it depends on how large and centralised a ministry is and living faith leadership appears to be very centralised.

4) Oyedepo always talks about the limitations of the prosperity gospel but ppl never listen to that they only pick what they want to pick. Even Kenneth Hagin once conformed that "there is a thin line between the permissible and the objectionable when it comes to issues of financial prosperity".

5) Oyedepo doesn't actually have 150 million USD in his account- he just believes it is an insult to equate the worth of a believer to a sum of 150 million.

6) I have visited all kinds of Churches and I tell you Offerings in WC is just once. Apart from special services.

7) If you like slander Oyedepo for preaching tithe or claim tithing is irrelevant. All I know is that Living Faith pays tithes of Billions to another large ministry in Nigeria every month. It takes a man of conviction to do that.

Now if there is anything that frustrates me about Bishop Oyedepo, it is that he refuses to care about his image or even lies put out there against him. Same for pa Adeboye. See how Joseph Prince quickly cleared himself from the yeye Forbes list. Now I am not bothered that Oyedepo and Adeboye are being insulted or mocked but my issue is how it can easily affect baby believers who are easily tilted. And if major pastors are left to be attacked consistently on social media, it is the root of Christianity that would shake
In years to come both the catholics, orthodox and Pentecostals would all suffer for all these unchecked attacks and backbiting within d church. Christianity in general might become more difficult to practice in a few years in this country because the devil has laid a ground work by trying to delegitimise every "who" is "who" in Christianedom and when those folks who are being attacked go on to be with the Lord, we the rest would be dealing with a society that is unreceptive

I pray for the next generations of Christians in Nigeria because they might suffer from the foolishness of we their predecessors.

Lastly as a Christian I won't criticize any other Christian for using a jet because I know fully well that if I had the money and require it then I would buy it. Whatever is unlawful for the pastor is unlawful for every other christian. If a pastor can't be rich then all Christians can't be rich either, if a pastor can't own a jet then no christian can own a jet.

For me, I maintain that a private jet is nothing more different than a private car.

NB: Please don't bother quoting me for slander, if you don't agree just talk your own comot for NL, I no get time for argument till 2am midnite.
Bishop Oyedepo might have acquired his assets genuinely or have even inherited them from his grandfather. But Benny Hinn is saying that prosperity gospel is an error. Does Oyedepo agree with him? If so why is prosperity the crux of messages?

I just want to give you a treat for this expository write up.

I am speaking from experience. I have a friend whose biological mother didn't take the place or wasn't allowed to place the role of a mother at his wedding.
Rather, it was the step mother that took that spot and his bold defence was the mother was never there when he needed her, this step mother was the one that helped him become who he is today, and how can the biological mother just wake of all a sudden , remembers he has a son and wanna take the shine of a mother she has never been.
Those in bordering school, always check, save for a microscopic few, others learn from the street and bring it back home when their parents are not always there not even on holiday. Wonder why kids now murder or beat up parents? Do drugs and other vices?

I wasn't a bad kid at school, but my parents never knew none of my secondary teacher or how my sec school looked like on the inside, save the school gate.
not even when I kept winning awards to make them proud. They were never there to celebrate my success with me. University was worse, they didn't know how I served and what has been going on in my life. And now, we are not even close enough for me to wanna open up to them cos I don't even know how they will react, cos I don't know them. But we are cool , ain't mad at them but the truth is that close parent/child relationship is gone with the wind and we both miss it, but don't even know how to 're-establish it. I have friends who are going through same. Some found solice in step parents or forster parents. Some didn't. Such is life. So kid , even in marriage, I still miss that abandonment if I might use that word, cos some things prop up in marriage I can't discuss with them and seek their advice, nor can I refer back and ask how my parents would have handled similar situations , cos they were never there. Wonder why the alarming rate of failed marriage, cos modern day kids don't know how to handle marriage/adulthood, save from what they learn from social media, read in books( most foreign), see in the movie, etc.
And it hurts. So don't say what you don't know. Okay?
So touching bro. Just ensure you make the corrections raising your own kids. All the best.

Shes not sad about the marriage loss but how independent her children has become and are hardly involving her in their lives. If she was to turn back the hands of time, she will still pick her career but raise her children differently. Marriage must never be a woman's biggest achievement in life.
You and madam are both confused because you are contradicting yourselves. She is sad about how she raised her children to become independent to the extent of lamenting about it online, but claims to be happy about the divorce which caused it. How preposterous? Many people are getting my statement with respect to this thread wrong. If the owner of a herd of cattle that destroyed a farmland is known for instance, the owner of such farmland won't bother to fight or query the fulani-man herding the cattle. It is to go to the cattle owner's house to show grievance and demand compensation! The more compensation the cattle owner pays, the more losses he makes, the wiser he becomes in advising the fulani-men in charge of his cattle to maintain sane and proper methods of cattle farming. These farmer/herders fights are getting serious and continuing all because the cattle owners are anonymous!!!
Ranching completely eliminates the possibility of animal straying into farms and the need for compensation. By so doing, the identities of the 'aliens' that own the cattle will be irrelevant.

By the way, who will enforce the compensation? The Nigeria abi Fulani Police or Army?
