The tensed management of Chrisland School has released a statement addressing the issue of a supervisor of the school for sexually assaulting a 2-year-old pupil.



The supervisor, Adegboyega Adenekan, had been charged to court after the child relayed the events of her alleged abuse to a clinical psychologist, Olive Ogedengbe.

The 2-year-old had described the abuse in detail, a video recording of her session with Ogedengbe showed, and had drawn Adenekan’s private part.

Chrisland School, in the statement, clarified that the alleged abuse was said to have occurred in VGC, not Lekki as is reported.

The school added that although they doubt that the alleged abuse took place, they will also ensure that the truth is discovered, and will prosecute the accused if he is found guilty.

I work in a private company in somewhere Lagos. I got this job after some months of desperate job hunt.

When I started this job in January 2017, I thought I would grow and get some promotions maybe within the shortest time frame. So I gave my all.

Now the problem is that my boss wants to engage me for 24 hours. She calls me anytime she feels like to process some documents and respond to clients' inquiries. Even at midnight and beyond. At first, I thought it was because of the pressure we faced during the season but this continued even as I type this.

I have tried to curtail this behavior of hers but she is not giving up.


The most annoying part of this is that whenever her children are given assignments in their schools, she would tell them to give it to me to solve for them without minding my personal schedule. Her children attends one of the best schools here in Lagos.

I have personally told her to respect my unofficial hours and avoid adding unofficial assignments to my job description but she wouldn't listen.

At a point, I tactically delayed the assignment for days and she started complaining that I am incompetent.

I have made up my mind to quit the job at any slightest opportunity but the role I play in the company is very critical that I can't just wake up one day and resign.

Though she rarely praises me, a couple of her friends have told me how she boasts of my competence and the innovations and values I have added to the company..

Note that three months into the job, she offered me a one bedroom flat at her boys quarters and I didn't hesitate to accept because the place is somewhat closer to the office than where I lived. And sometimes, I join her in the car to the office in the morning thereby saving some fare cost.

Please, I need all the ideas you can give me to handle the situation.

The reason for the overuse is because you are more than a staff, you are a family member. Solution: Quit that accommodation!

Calendars we use in the world is 2(Gregorian and Hijri calendar) Solar and lunar based calendars respectively, In islam we use Hijri calendar and also have a new year.

We use just one calendar for government and business world over and it is the western calendar. It was the calendar introduced for uniformity by the colonial masters who were essentially business men not christian leaders. So if the Arabs had got their acts right before the western colonialists, Hijri calendar would have been employed and integrated in government and business. So why the hues and cries?

This is normal in banking, what do you expect of a loan that has been unservised for 5 years. It is very normal in banking to forgive the accumulated interest especially where it is impossible for the borrower to meet his obligations not to talk of the accumulated interest. This is what alot of people have termed fraudulent charges. The CBN is the final authority over this issue, what Innosson was specifically arrested for was forgery of banks authority to release the warehouse imported goods. What GTB can do is to rescind on the earlier grace extended to him as regards the accumulated charges.

GTB confessed to have taken illicit charges from Innoson and agreed to make refunds in excess of #550m and you are talking about accumulated interest on loans. So Innoson and the consultants appointed by the disputants (Innoson/GTB) to audit their accounts do not know the difference between excess charges and interest on loans while arriving at their verdicts? You are certainly not in the main stream banking; a Teller or Secretary at best.

Innoson likely "bought" the judgement in Awka where he could have influenced the judge. A lot of people are blinded by sentiments. He is a typical Nigerian businessman who fraudulently obtained collateral assets that are in the name of the bank. It's like one obtaining a car loan from a bank. All the documents are issued in the name of the bank and remain in possession of the bank until one pay off the loan. In Innoson case, GTB was asking for just 25% of total loan to release goods. Irrespective of all Innoson claims he and his company reputation has been damaged. As usual these largely criminal elites would stir up ethnic sentiments if things does not go their way. Unfortunately there are more than enough jobless youths ready to help stir it further. Reason why this damn country of largely unproductive people is not getting ahead.
