The Islamic scholar, who is the leader of Shiites in Nigeria, accused the Nigerian Government of gross violation of his fundamental right by not allowing him to go abroad for treatment despite his deteriorating health condition.
He disclosed this while responding to questions in an exclusive live programme with the Iranian Press TV monitored in Kano on Wednesday evening.

It is his first interview with the media since he regained freedom on July 28, 2021.

He had been arrested and detained since December 2015.

He said, “Even after the incarceration, we are still in another incarceration since they have refused to allow us to travel outside the country.”

Zakzaky explained that the Movement is seeking an Islamic government system to replace what he described as a neocolonial system, which he said is currently being practised in the country today.

“I believe that if there will be a plebiscite in this country and people will be asked ‘which system would you like?' Is it the status quo, which is inherited from the British colonialists or the Islamic system?

“I’m sure that the majority will choose the Islamic system. It will be the government of the people after all.

“However, this depends on the people being given the choice similar to what happened in Iran with the referendum that followed the victory of the country’s Islamic Revolution in 1979.

“Nigerian authorities admit in private not in public, that they fear the Islamic Movement and the potential that it may help establish the Islamic system just as the Revolution in Iran.

“But all the IMN is after is democracy. What is a democracy? It is the government of the people,” he said

Declare Bandits As Terrorists, Their Leaders Wanted – Nigerian Senate Tells Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has been asked to declare bandits causing different havoc across the country as terrorists.

The Senate mentioned this while calling on the President to wage war against bandits, including bombing all their locations to annihilate and eliminate them.
It advised the President to declare all the known leaders of the bandits wanted and track them wherever they are for arrest and prosecution.

The resolutions followed a motion by Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir representing Sokoto East Senatorial district and eight others.

Gobir noted his district had turned to a safe haven for bandits because of the recent onslaught against them in Zamfara State.

He recalled the killing of 21 security personnel last Saturday in Dama and Gangara and a yet-to-be-ascertained number of civilians from the neighbouring villages by rampaging bandits.

The lawmaker described the incident as one which requires urgent action by the declaring war on banditry.

He expressed worry that losing such a number of trained officers would further deplete the numerical strength of the security personnel in the country, thereby jeopardizing the security architecture of the country.

He also lamented that most of the bandits have now relocated to Sabon Birni and Isa local government areas due to the sustained military operations at the Zamfara axis.

Gobir said while the crackdown on the bandits was taking place in Zamfara State, no concrete measures have been taken in Sokoto State, leaving it totally exposed to the activities of the bandits.

“The operation should be holistic instead of restrictive in order to produce effective and the desired results,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Senate observed a minute of silence in honour of the fallen heroes and civilians who lost their lives in the unwholesome activities of the bandits.

The Upper Chamber then directed the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, and other relevant federal government agencies to give all the necessary support to the victims of the menace of banditry in Sokoto and other parts of the country.

Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has revealed that Nigeria’s future is bleak if the resolution of the Northern Governors’ Forum (NGF) to retain power in the North in 2023 is anything to go by.

Ohanaeze also stated that the Northern region of the country should have been “the Netherlands of Africa that if Presidency is a panacea to people’s problems” owing to the fact that most of the past leaders came from the region, and there was nothing to write home about the North.
This was contained in the statement by Ohanaeze issued by its spokesman, Alex Ogbonnia, made available to SaharaReporters on Tuesday.

The statement read, “The attention of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has been drawn to a part of the resolution by the Northern States Governors’ Forum with Northern States Emirs and Chiefs held on Monday, September 27, 2021, at the Council Chamber, Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.

“The remarks by the leaders of the North indicate a bleak future for Nigeria. It is most regrettable that the North are undisturbed that Nigeria is fast collapsing under its leadership. The Forum failed to recognize that at the moment, Nigeria is confronted with the most precarious omens full of uncertainty, doubts, insecurity and bloodshed.

“The Chairman of the Northern States Governors Forum, Governor Simon Lalong, can attest that the people of Plateau State had never in history witnessed the number of deaths as has taken place under his watch as governor.”

The Igbo group highlighted Nigerian problems among which is insecurity in the North and berated the Northern stakeholders for plotting to retain power when it is expected of them to proffer solutions to these deficiencies.

The statement continued, “The banditry in Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna and Jigawa States is terrifying. Benue State has turned into a killing field. The States of Yobe and Borno are worst hit by the menace of Boko Haram; etc. Several schools in the North could not open because of kidnappers and millions of children are on the street as beggars. The Nigerian currency has lost its value.

“Unemployment has skyrocketed; and Nigeria has become the poverty capital of the world and the Northern Governors, the Sultan and the Emirs instead of seeking solution to Nigerian problems were busy strategising on how to retain power in 2023. This is most unconscionable, to say the least.

“Let it be made abundantly clear that if Presidency is a panacea to people’s problems, the North would have become the Netherlands of Africa. This is because the North had Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Yakubu Gowon, Murtala Mohammed, Shehu Shagari,

Muhammadu Buhari, Ibrahim Babangida, Sani Abacha, Abdulsalam Abubakar, Musa Yaradua, Muhammadu Buhari, yet the problems of the North are on the increase.

‘It is most worrisome that the Sultan of Sokoto, Alh. Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar, CFR, the spiritual leader of the Nigerian Muslims, one of the most respected Sultans in the recent history and the living conscience of the North, took part in such subversion.

For the avoidance of doubt, there is peace in the progressive societies because men of conscience are more in number. On the other hand, the crises in Nigeria are a product of greed, injustice, religion without sacrifice and impunity.

“The position of the Southern Governors is simply restating the obvious. A gentleman agreement was reached at the NUC Conference Centre, Abuja in 1998 between the North and the South. The Late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo spoke for the entire South and Alh. Abubakar Rimi, also of blessed memory spoke for the North. It was agreed that after Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar as the Head of State, that the presidency should shift to the South. That accounted for the emergence of the presidential flag bearers of the mainstream political parties from the South West.

“Chief Olusegun Obasanjo respected the agreement and handed over to the North in the person of Musa Yar’Adua. Again, Goodluck Jonathan, a Southerner, respected the gentleman agreement and handed over to the North in the person of President Muhammadu Buhari. Therefore, the least that is expected from the North is a show of profound gratitude to the entire South for their large heart, equanimity and sportsmanship.”

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says it cannot attack the South-East and South-South residents of Nigeria contrary to what a supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari had claimed.

IPOB dismissed the claim made by one Shekau, reiterating that it is not a violent group

It, however, alleged that its enemies are stockpiling weapons from Pakistan to invade ‘Biafraland' (largely Southeastern Nigeria).

The group disclosed this in a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, which was obtained by SaharaReporters on Monday.

The secessionist group said this while reacting to a statement made by one Shekau in the Biafra struggle in the media.

It also stated that it had interfered with the planned governorship election in Anambra State, adding that self-determination is its main objective.


The statement read, “We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have read with amusement, a fallacious media remark by one inconsequential Shekau, a self-acclaimed supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, where he displayed his ignorance and cluelessness about IPOB, our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and the goings-on in Biafra land.

“As much as we would not want to dignify this amorphous fellow with a response, the pertinent question is: who is this Shekau without a surname that a national newspaper like Daily Trust should publish?

“It is a pity that this ignoble fellow and attention seeker compared a non-violent movement like IPOB to Boko Haram terrorists, created and groomed by the North to kill Jewish and Christian adherents, indigenous Northerners and security agents.

“IPOB has seen numerous false propaganda in the past and we are not in any way moved by this latest vomit. We know the antics of our enemies who are never tired of sponsoring media lies to cover up their evil and rubbish our struggle for independence but we are not deterred.

“Contrary to the vomit by this inconsequential fellow, IPOB has no plans to attack South Easterners and South Southerners. In the first place, violence is not part of our philosophy. Assuming we want to resort to violence, how can we attack our people whom we are fighting for? It does not make any sense.

“But we know their motive for peddling this falsehood as our intelligence report confirms the importation and stockpiling of arms from Pakistan for their planned invasion of Biafraland but we are waiting for them.

“We are so astonished that a terrorist like Shekau without surname will be the one telling Biafran people to hate their own while he and his kinsmen openly protect their own terrorists and bandits maiming and killing them in the entire Northern region.

“It is also important to note that contrary to speculations, IPOB has not officially declared 'no election in Anambra State'. Our preoccupation is Biafra restoration. Anybody equating IPOB strategy with Boko Haram terrorists, bandits and Fulani herdsmen is ignorant and mischievous.

Masked Oyo Indigenes Give Fulani, Hausa, Their Cattle 30-Day Ultimatum To Leave Yorubaland

Some masked men from Oyo State have issued a 30-day ultimatum to Fulani and Hausa people to leave all parts of Yorubaland.

They also said the herders among them should leave along with their cattle.

The 30 days started counting from Saturday, September 25, 2021.

This was contained in a video obtained by SaharaReporters on Saturday. Some of the men were clad in Yoruba Nation vests.

Their leader, who identified himself as Sunday Oyo, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to advise “his people” to leave Yorubaland within a month or face the consequences of disobedience, which they said might be gruesome.

The young man noted that though the Nigerian government was able to ensure the arrest of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, he, Sunday Oyo is different.

Igboho was arrested in Benin Republic in July while he and his wife were trying to travel to Germany. He has since been detained in the country.

However, Oyo said: “We are using this opportunity to warn President Muhammadu Buhari that he should immediately evacuate all Fulanis and Hausas from Yorubaland.

“We don't want to have a relationship with you, let everyone go their separate ways. The torture is too much, let's have our nation, and you have your nation, and be careful or else...

“We give you 30 days to leave Yorubaland generally. You have arrested Sunday Igboho, I am Sunday Oyo, we will deal with you. After 30 days, whatever your experience is, you should accept it as your fate.”

SaharaReporters had reported a similar threat made by Igboho in the past.

On January 22, Igboho visited Igangan, a town in the Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, insisting that Fulani people must leave Yorubaland.

He accused the Fulani community in the area of masterminding abductions, killings, and other criminal activities in the area.

"Fulani cannot take over our land from us. We own our land and we won't allow anybody to take it from us. Some people are intimidating us but we won't succumb to their threat. For the Fulani living here, we are not fighting them, if they can live with us peacefully. Our fear is about Fulani taking over our land, kidnapping, and killing our people.

"We will evict them from our land if they insist on kidnapping our people. I am assuring Yoruba people, especially the residents of Oyo State that there is no cause for alarm. What we started today does not only have to do with Oyo State; we are going to evict Fulani people in the entire Yoruba land," he had said.

Since his emergence as one of the masterminds of self-determination for the Oodua/Yoruba Nation, Igboho had faced several travails.

For instance, on July 1, 2021, his Soka residence in Ibadan was invaded by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), also known as the State Security Service (SSS) or secret police.

He was on July 20 arrested in Cotonou while trying to travel to Germany.

The Yoruba Nation agitator fled Nigeria after he was declared wanted by the DSS following the alleged discovery of weapons in his Ibadan residence.

He, however, denied owning the weapons found in his house, stressing that they were planted there by the security agency.

While Atiku is snoring his lungs away at this time of the night, and counting on the ignorance of Nigerians to win him this election, Sowore as of 30 mins ago was still up and about on his facebook live broadcast, meeting and engaging with Nigerians. We can't match Sowore's zeal, patriotism and raw passion with any other person running this presidential election, Period. Sowore will continue to do his bit, and if you don't know how much ground he is gaining already, is because you don't want to know. You want him to come to your doorsteps before you will support him. That na why Buhari call una Lazy Nigerian Youths. Una want ready-made, a miracle, wash-wash, so una go reap without sowing anything..
Of course, I won't distract you from Atikulating, but may your life be just the way Atiku has ruled Nigeria and the way Atiku will rule Nigeria. If you truly believe in Atiku, say a confident and firm Amen to this prayer, go to the poll on February 16th, and cast your vote for the devil. Then they said he was working for Tinubu and APC, that vicious lie was squashed when we kept asking people to show us evidence and they couldn't which meant, it was propaganda.
Then they have come with this one now; A vote for Sowore is a vote for APC.

Now, let me tell you something. A vote for PDP is a vote for APC, and a vote for APC is a vote for PDP. Why, because there is no fundamental or ideological difference between PDP and APC. That is why someone can be in PDP in the morning, migrate to APC in the afternoon, and then return to PDP in the night.

What Sowore is doing is called open and transparent funding devoid of Godfatherism.
You wont understand it because you are so used to the Nigeria style of politicking that involves a lot of money sharing only for the people to be abandoned when the politicians gets into power.
Go and look at Sowore's history and see for yourself if he has ever stolen a penny from Nigeria then use your head to know if he is a scammer or not!! Stop thinking every Nigerian is as criminal minded and corrupt as you are. There are still so many decent Nigerians out there; not everyone is looking for who to scam.
