Religion oppresses people especially Abrahamic religions. In any society that oppresses women, children, gays, non-believers or anyone that is different, even good men are also oppressed and silenced. That is why in Nigeria and all Countries that are religious, Bad men run the affairs of the country. Nigeria and all of Africa is a great example of how Religion ALWAYS destroys everything and everyone it comes in contact with. The Nigeria of today has also showed us that just as it has been historically, in our country today, the only people that succeed in our oppressed society, are mostly looters (politicians), fraudsters (Private Jet buying Pastors) and terrorist (Extemist Imams). Nigeria is a good example of the consequences of OPPRESSION. Bad men (and bad women) thrive in oppressed nations and this is a fact. Any critical thinker can look back in history and one thing has always stood out; anywhere religion goes, oppression strived, hunger and poverty is the order of the day and churches, mosques and temples are built instead of school, roads, hospitals and everything that is supposed to make life easier for people. China produces about 80% of the world’s air-conditioners, 70% of its mobile phones and 60% of its shoes. WONDER why China is making all these technological advancements and breakthroughs? Here is why; Religion in China (73.56%) - Non Religious (15.87%) - Buddish (7.6%) - Other Religions I asked a Chinese Lady, what is your religion. She looked at me weird, shrugged and said, "If you are asking me what I believe in, I believe in ME and by extension, my religion is MYSELF". Yet, in 2018, Nigerians are still quoting bible scriptures, believing in God and waiting for God to come down from heaven and build roads, schools and hospitals for them. Nigeria will not develop because of our belief in God, Nigeria will only develop when we start believing in ourselves and in Humanity. There is no short cut to developement except SELF-BELIEF and LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER. This is why we are moving backwards not forward. While other countries are moving into the age of atificial intelligence, the minds of Nigerians are still stuck 2000 years ago, bc - BEFORE CHRIST!!! Today, you are a Christain, you practice monogamy in marriage , You speak English and You conduct "white weddings" because The British conquered our forefathers and mothers, enslaved them, raped them, killed them, discriminated against them and abused them for years. The British Colonist are the people who Brought Christianity to you!!! It was their tradition. If the reverse were to be the case and it was my fore-fathers that conquered the British, a British man or woman today would speak Igbo, they will conduct Igba Nkwu (Igbo wedding), they will practice polygamy, and they will worship Amadioha, the Arusi of thunder and lightning. Christianity is just other people's tradition that have been passed on to us. Sadly, this tradition has completely destroyed our people the same way it destroyed the British, because at the time England was fiercely religious, England was also extremely corrupt and poverty strived. Religion becomes useless and unimportant the moment poverty is eradicated. Once people are no longer impoverished, their brain starts to function, they grown in self-belief and religion becomes a thing for the museums and history books. Sadly, Nigerians today are still believing in other things except themselves, like God, Holy water, Annoiting oil, shilo offering, tithe, church building, pastors and everything else except themselves. That is why we are where we are; We have ZERO belief in ourselves. This is so Sad |
MIKOLOWISKA:Sowore is contesting for President so if you want to Contest as Councillor or Commissioner, you can just do that. Don't tell someone else aiming for more to aim for less. Only people with low self esteem feel the need to drag others down. In fact, If you ma wan contest as President, go ahead. You are able bodied and probably not sick like PMB, so why can't you run a country? |
To all those youths on this forum making negative comments and talking down Sowore or making jokes, YOU ALL JUST CONFIRMED WHAT BUHARI SAID; NIGERIAN YOUTHS ARE LAZY. Not only that; Nigerian youths are unpatriotic and have a deep hatred for Nigeria. Buhari, Atiku, is your choice of candidate? You people are SICK!! Look around the world. Nigerians are probably one of the most hated people in the world. If you want to keep being slaves in Libya, Oman, etc.. so many of us Are tired of seeing so much degeneration in our country and we will stand firmly with intellectually sound young aspirants who will move Nigeria out of poverty and into prosperity. To all those that will read all the negative comments from so called Nigerian youths, Don't dismay. Poverty has severely messed up the minds of our people. No be thesame 9ja wey pastors are blatantly defrauding people in the Name of tithes, offering, shilo offering, seeds, first fruit, etc,! yet, thesame Nigerians will carry their hopeless selves to thesame churches, and will continue giving their hard earned much money to pastorpreneurs; thereby prolonging their slavery. If you ask them why; they will say TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED. or ITS AND ATTACK ON CHRISTIANITY.. and all sorts of crap. Do you notice that its thesame tone they use to defend pastors that they use to defend Politicians; "SOWORE IS A SMALL BOY" or "SOWORE WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT BECAUSE HE HAS NO EXPERIENCE IN STEALING, KILLING CORRUPTION, LOOTING ETC SO ITS BUHARI 2019". Most Nigerians are sick in the head. As John Rawlings (former head of state and president of Ghana) said to Sowore; NIGERIANS ARE STILL IN LOVE WITH THEIR OPPRESSORS. But whatever is wrong with us is about to be made right come 2019. The journey to save Nigeria and the entire African continent has just begone and we MUST finish this journey even if we have to drag the negative-lazy Nigerian youths accross the finish line with us. Sowore 2019 ACC Take it Back - Action!!! |
MURIC Remove the "R" and replace it with "S" AND "MURIC" changes to "MUSIC". Can't take this people seriously so please just enjoy the |
Omoyele Sowore has demonstrated efforts to promote democracy in Nigeria for a long part of his life while President Muhammadu Buhari seized power to become a military head of state of Nigeria. Omoyele Sowore is eager to engage with the Nigerian people about affairs of the nation while President Muhammadu Buhari could not participate in a debate in order to address Nigerians towards his plans for governance during the 2015 elections. Omoyele Sowore has demonstrated that he believes in technological advancement to power his news website, Sahara Reporters while President Buhari has not surrounded himself with people that will advance the use of technology in key sectors of governance -- For example, in the fight against corruption. Omoyele Sowore's news website is run by a team while he engages in his daily affairs and now as a politician and he trusts those men and women to do a good job while President Buhari has been slow in making critical decisions partly due to him not trusting the decisions of those that work around him but just a few that share his worldview (a broad consensus leads to better decision making). Omoyele Sowore had demonstrated a willingness to engage in scholarly work as he earned a graduate degree from Columbia University but President Buhari as an elder statesman, did not demonstrate enough scholarly work as a former military head of state and those experiences are needed to be documented and engaged upon in order to share best practices and lessons learned for better leadership across Nigeria and Africa. President Buhari has been sick for a part of his current Presidency while Omoyele Sowore is healthy and has participated in over 8 marathons in the last 6 years. President Buhari has not set up and advanced enough institutions in order to tackle corruption in Nigeria but used the fight against corruption as a political tool towards his perceived enemies while Omoyele Sowore has demonstrated through his media organization, that he can build a venture and run an organization in an effective way. The skills of leading an organization, using technology and education to solve problems -- is what is needed in 21st century leadership. Nigerians, make a wise choice in 2019. https://www.modernghana.com/news/847694/2019-president-muhammadu-buhari-vs-omoyele-sowore.html |
SternProphet, good points. What most people believe is that Buhari lacks capacity. He does not seem to be able to control people around him rather it seems it is the people around him (cabals) that are in control not the president. Even his wife attested to this so we cannot say this is just a rumour. Should we stick to this sort of leadership? Is Buhari really the best Nigerian out there? If I can ask, have you had sometime to look at the other presidential aspirants or is it just a rigid Buhari or nothing stance that most of us are applying? |
Toks2008:Do you mind them. Most guys will say this nonsense because they know that they will get their own s*exual satisfaction regardless of oral; afterall the traditional way of having sex was for procreation and to satisfy the lust and desires of men. That is why so many women in marriages today have never had an o*rgasm. They believe s*ex is just something a man does to a woman and thats why most women still think having sex with a man is being "used", cause the women don't enjoy the encounter which makes the experience painful and uncomfortable for them. If you as a man have to beg your woman for sex at any time, then clearly the woman does not look forward to having s*ex with you which means YOU are a bad s*exual partner. Sex should be natural, exciting, engaging, pleasurable and consensual and there should be no begging, force or excruciating pain involved. Some men and women still think p*enis size matters when in reality, the size of whatever is in between a mans legs means nothing if he does not understand a womans body. Most married men don't even know what their wife's private looks like. For them, a vagin*a is just somewhere that gets occasional visits whenever his p*enis is erect. Some men are totally engrossed in satisfying their own sexual needs. They will pound and bang as if he were having intercourse with a non-feeling person or an animal." I blame the women most times as they themselves have even come to accept lack of sexual satisfaction as something that is ACCEPTABLE. No, as far as I am concerned, any sexual encounter between a man and a woman which only satisfies one person at the expense of the other is RAPE. So my dear women, if your husband ejaculat*es and can not bring you to climax, thats RAPE happening right there. If you're experiencing excruciating pain instead of pleasure from start to finish, and the pain is not caused by some medical condition, you are being raped, PERIOD. That is why most women feel "used" after sex, because their sexual needs are never met during sexual encounters. This also explains why many married women withhold sex from their husbands every now and then, because since there is no pleasure in it for her, her body can now become a bargaining chip to get what she wants out of a man and this is very SAD!! What a shame, and these sort of men call themselves "husbands". Ordinary to Satisfy your own wife and some men are busy quoting bible scriptures as if the bible said "Husbands, dont sexually satisfy your wife in the bedroom". Hope one day, Nigerians will stop using the bible as a defence for their own personal choice, preference and beliefs. If you leave Nigerians, they will even say corruption and stealing is scriptural. |
worksmart:What has been PMB's achievements in the last 3 years of his presidency? Do you think thats the best he can do? We have so many options next year. The presidential candidates for our 2019 election are some of our best and brightest Nigerians. We have alternatives for presidency this time around. Should we really stick with a "just okay" PMB, who the best his supporters can say about him is "he has integrity" but yet lacks capacity. In China, they build sky scrapers overnight, in Nigerians it takes our leaders years to complete a single project. In developed countries, the government provides welfare for the destitute or poor, including free housing, health care, quality education, and finance for the people. In Nigeria, Nigerian citizens are the ones that provide welfare for their fellow Nigerians not the government. Infact Nigerians abroad are the highest foreign investors to Nigeria through the remittances they send back home every time. Can we not do better? Nigeria is a 1000years behind developed countries because we have analogue leaders running a digital generation and we honestly can't get anything done with such leaders. Our country is blessed tremendously and Nigeria can very easily become the best country in the world and the envy of the rest of the world, but we will never get there with the crop of leaders we have today. So why continue with the style of leadership and politics we have in Nigeria today? |
SternProphet:There are so many other Nigerians with integrity. No matter what we may think of our beloved country, there are still more good Nigerians than the bad Nigerians, but unfortunately, our politics is filled with the worst Nigerians we have, infacts our politics as it is has been hijacked by criminals. Integrity is good but governance, performance, action, track record, consistency, agility and good health is also needed. Also a leader that has capacity. Our leader should be the best of us not the worst of us. Is Buhari really the best Nigerian in Nigeria to be our leader? Do you not think that you as a Nigerian can run a state or a country better than so many of our past and present president, governors and senators combined. |

With the infusion of young blood into our political space, 2019 election is going to be an election like no other. It may well likely be a vote between the young and the old, a choice between the continuing with the old ways of doing things or forging a new path for ourselves, by trying new breeds with fresh ideas. The following are the aspirants for the presidency in the 2019 election. Who among these candidates will you be voting for and why? ASPIRANTS Eniola Ojajuni – 39 years old Enyinnaya Nnaemeka Nwosu – 40 years old Ahmed Buhari – 40 years old Mathias Tsado – 41 years old Fela Durotoye – 46 years old Charles Udeogaranya – 46 years old Thomas-Wilson Ikubese – 47 years old Omoyele Sowore – 47 years old Tope Fasua – 47 years old Olu James Omosule – 48 years old Kingsley Moghalu – 55 years old Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies – 55 years old Donald Duke – -56 years old Peter Ayodele Fayose – 57 years old Adesanya Fegbenro-Bryon – 59 years old Remi Sonaiya – 63 years old Sule Lamido – 69 years old Atiku Abubakar - 71 years old Muhammadu Buhari – 75 years old |
jossy4joseph:For the sake of clarity, he is raising $2 million for his campaign not 100 million USD as you stated. $48,309 has been raised by 558 Nigerians abroad in 2 months and Sowore has not even stated the political platform he will be running on yet Nigerians are already willing to finance his campaign based on his ideas, credibility, transparency, and consistency. It's not even about the 28 million or so people that vote for the existing political parties in Nigeria, some of who have sold their conscience and morals for money, this movement is engaging the rest of the over 40 million eligible voters (mostly young people) who have never cared to vote for lack of credible candidates. Unless Sowore is illegitimately killed, he will become the president of the federal republic of Nigeria. He will not only win, it will be a LANDSLIDE VICTORY. |
Ziggylady:If you can't provide proof of your claim about Sowore being Tinubu's stooge, why are you still using this as a line of defense? "Sowore comes off as a blackmailer", yet there are no facts or evidence from anyone relentlessly making up these allegations. I may be "a freaking dreamer" right but guess what, this is exactly what the minister of information told Sowore on a radio show last month. That's the mentality of the people at the top; we are dreamers, we are inconsequential, we are impatient, we are lazy, etc. Sadly, many Nigerians have internalized oppression and have become oppressors of themselves and their fellow Nigerians too. To me being a dreamer, I will respond exactly the same way Sowore responded to the Minister of MisCommunication on the radio show when he was called a dreamer; THE NIGERIA OF THE FUTURE IS FOR DREAMERS LIKE ME! - Omoyele Sowore |
jossy4joseph:He has already generated $48,000 of his campaign funding from Nigerians abroad in the space of only 2months through his open and transparent funding on gofundme.com (simply google to confirm).. These financial contributions have been made by Nigerians living abroad alone and they are real people, not snakes or monkeys. It's a new era for Nigerian politics; Politics without Godfathers. If for anything, we the people of Nigeria will own our politicians this time around and we will be the Godfathers and Godmothers sponsoring them financially and otherwise so when they get elected into office, they will remain answerable to us not to any Godfather as has been the case over the years... Sowore has not even declared which political platform he is running on but many Nigerians are already falling in love with his ideas. He is selling ideas to Nigerian people, not money or rice and Nigerians are listening to him, asking him questions and making suggestions to him. His town hall meetings both home and abroad are always filled to the brim, a feat most candidates even the president himself, can only achieve if they share money. But people are rushing to his town hall meetings to hear him speak, out of their own volition. Again, anyone thinking this is a joke is probably still stuck in that analog age of our corrupt mediocre politicians. Please join the digital trend of politics that is captivating the entire country. Sowore is leading the race at it is and he just started barely 2months ago. Before the end of the year, Sowore will be a household name. This is the reality that is on the ground as of today. |
wildimagination:This is where we all have to do our own part. As you rightly said Sowore is just one man. The thing about the #takeitback movement is that it is not just about Sowore, its a call for all good people of Nigeria to take Nigeria back from the wrong hands by going into politics themselves. I am not interested in politics but I am informing well-meaning Nigerians who want to contribute their quota into the development of Nigeria to go an contest under the takeitback movement. I am also going to do my part in educating those at the grassroots, the villages, the rural areas on the need to shun politicians who give them stomach infrastructure and embrace leaders who will bring them real infrastructural development. You see even those we abuse for selling their vote for a grain of rice do so because no one is educating and informing them about the realities on the ground. In fact, as much as our politicians are the ones to blame for the state of our nation, in our own way we have contributed in helping them destroy Nigeria with our SILENCE. For every person that has died in an accident because of bad roads, for every person that has died of curable diseases because of our bad health care, for every armed robber, boko haramist, Fulani herdsmen that have kill our people because of their lack of education, or the lack of job opportunity in the country, we are all to blame because we have remained silent and allowed the bloodletting happening all over the country. A part of us is guilty and we must search our conscience this time and say NO MORE. In all the political positions in Nigeria today, we must overhaul our politics with credible candidates come 2019 from the top to the bottom. So if you are a well-meaning Nigerians and have the interest of the Nigerian people at heart, or if you know someone credible who has the interest of Nigeria at heart, encourage them to go into politics. If there are no existing platforms to run on, they are welcomed to register under the #takeitback movement. That's how we are going to deliver and rescue our country and defeat corrupt politicians. wildimagination:If you follow him, you will see all his campaign promises. He is not just talking about jailing politicians alone, he is talking policies that will deliver our country. The 47-year-old aspirant said he has already encapsulated the priority of his government which was derived from a survey on priorities of Nigerians into the acronym, 'SPICER -HEAT' According to him, 'SPICER-HEAT' is an acronym for Security, Power, Infrastructure, Economy, Restructuring, Health, Education, Agriculture, and Technology. In fact, his policies have nothing to do with jailing anyone. It needs not to be because jailing corrupt government officials is something that must be done so that Nigerians will for once get JUSTICE for all the atrocities that have be committed by our politicians. Without justice, we cannot have a fair society and criminals will continue to walk free thereby endangering the lives of our people. Injustice is a danger to any society and justice must be done for the peace and prosperity of our country. Justice is not a political agenda; JUSTICE IS A MUST before Nigerians can move forward. |
wildimagination:Defeatism Defeatism Defeastism.. Nigeria is a country of 190 million people held hostage by less than 1 million greedy politicians. So for heavens sakes, what are WE afraid of? If you think 1 million Nigerians are strong enough to stop the might of the rest of the countrys population, think again. The problem is not that these people cannot be defeated, the problem is that Nigerians have always allowed them to have a free ride. The problem is not that they are more powerful than us, the problem is that we have never shown true desire to defeat these criminals. We have allowed their lies, propaganda and devisive rhetorics to destroy our morals, ethics, principles and conscience. There have always been more GOOD people in Nigeria than the bad ones, but the good Nigerians have remained relegated to the background, thereby allowing for the emergence of the WORST of us into politics. The moment we come together as one and fight our oppressors, they will be the ones running away from us and not the other way round. Look at the things happening in Nigeria today; Nigerians are now seeing through the ethnic and religious lines that they have used to divide and conquer us. The private jet flying religious leaders are even under fire as Nigerians are now beginning to ask questions of their pastors and imams. Money will not only fail in 2019 election, even religion and other divides they use against us will fail them. Nigerians are coming around and many are finally waking up. For so many, they could not be bothered to do anything about Nigeria because there was never any alternative to the leaders we had, but not anymore. We have an option now and so many Nigerians are going for an alternative leadership. So believe me, a revolution is very much around the corner. |
jaxxy:He is not attacking only Saraki. We was in Ilorin for a town hall meeting and he told Illorin people that their oppressor Saraki who has run Kwara State like a family business will be jailed (and he should be). When he was in Imo State, the decadence he saw on the streets of Imo State, lead him to say that Rochas Okoracha deserves to be tried in the international criminal court for his crimes against Imo State people. He is an equal opportunity offender. Please I enjoin everyone to do a thorough research on Omoyele Sowore and even other presidential aspirants as well. We need to know the track record and pasts of all our leaders before we elect them into office. This guy Sowore has a record of consistency. He has always stood for the truth even when his life was at stake. None of our leaders todays have sacrificed what this man Sowore has sacrificed for Nigerians. Anyone who is willing to risk his life for us is a true patriot and a true leader of the people. Follow him on his facebook page and get to know his candidacy. His campaign is not only talks about jailing criminal politicians, its also everything that needs to be done to make Nigeria great. He is breathing life into our political space and letting everyone know that you, me and any Nigerian can aspire for cousilorship, governorship and presidency if the have the interest of Nigerians at heart. I'm not forcing him down on anyone's throat but next years election, we all as Nigerians must be well informed, wise and have knowledge about all our political aspirants. It cannot be business as usual because if we miss this opportunity to change Nigeria for good come 2019, I'm afraid that Nigeria will be so decimated to the point that our country will become cheap commodity for auction on eBay. |
CSTR1003:. Has Moghalu gone to jail for fighting for the rights of Nigerians before, no. But Sowore has. Was Moghalu going against the military to bring the democracy that we have in Nigeria today? No... But Sowore did and there is a video of him protesting against the military after which he was jailed for 2 weeks for his involvement in the protest.. Has Moghalu lead any protest against the Nigerian government for mistreating Nigerians. No. But Sowore has. Where was Moghalu when MKO Abiola's free and fair election was fraudulently annulled by Babangida? I don't know where Moghalu was, but guess what, there is a video of Omoyele Sowore & other students' activists standing With MKO Abiola after 1993 election. Did Moghalu stop Obasanjo's third term in a bid to become the Mugabe of Nigeria? No as a matter of fact, in a recent interview, he Moghalu admitted that he has spoken with Obasanjo about his presidential aspiration which means he is in bed with the likes of OBJ. But Sowore, on the other hand, stood against Obasanjo's third term bid and OBJ is one of the people who he believes will be jailed. Has Moghalu stood against all the corrupt politicians, looked them in the eyes, pointed his fingers at their faces and called them out as criminals that they are? No.. Sowore has done so personally and he has also used his Sahara reporters to continue naming and shaming corrupt public officials even up till today. Did Moghalu fight the Yaradua cabals who tried to run Nigeria with a dead man? No. Sowore was the first person to tell Nigerians that Yaradua was brain dead. Has Moghalu been taken to court by the government and corrupt government officials for exposing corrupt people? No, but Sowore has, and he won all the cases against the Nigerian government by the way. Has Moghalu money been taken by the Nigerian government or government official in a bid to sabotage him? No, but Sowore $300,000 was ceased by Saraki's fraudulently obtained court order freezing Sahara Reporters account, and they have not released his money up till today. Has Moghalu ensured we have a free and fair election in Nigeria? No, but Sowore with his Sahara reporters ensured the legitimacy of 2015 election by being the first to announce election results of 11 states even before INEC announced the results which helped to bring an end to the one-party rule of PDP in Nigeria. ...Has Moghalu been injected with an unknown substance, tortured, jailed, starved, beaten, stripped nake*d, slapped, declared wanted or had assassination attempts on his life for standing on the path of JUSTICE in the interest of Nigerians? No, No, No, and No. But Sowore has been through it all, all for his love of Nigeria and his love for the Nigerian people While Sowore is going around, holding Town Hall meeting from country to country, state to state, local government to local government, I ask, where are the likes of Moghalu and other presidential aspirants? My guess is that they are still in talks with their Godfathers or holding secret meetings behind a closed door in air-conditioned rooms without the knowledge of Nigerians. While Sowore is raising funds transparently online on gofundme.com, where and who is providing the money for the other political candidates. Let me tell you this; any candidate whose campaign is not transparently funded must have Godfathers involved. They are risky candidates and risks are not what Nigerians are going to take any more. If Moghalu is your choice, that's fine. But I remain with Sowore until there is another candidate who has a similar history of standing for the truth and protecting the interest of Nigerians even when his/her life is at stake. |
jaxxy:Bring out your evidence that he is a Tinubu stooge.. So far, we know the extensive reports by Sowore's Sahara Reporters on Tinubu past as a Heroine dealer in US and his property abroad which Tinubu bought with Nigerians money. Going by this alone, it is clear to all that he is not in anyone's bag, but rather Sowore is an equal opportunity offender and has no tolerance for corrupt people. Please get us evidence of him working with Tinubu or accepting bribe from Tinubu and we will believe the rumour. We cannot keep on making these false accusation without evidence of any sort. If you have proof, we are challenging not just you, but all those saying he is a Tinubu boy to show us EVIDENCE. As we go on this 2019 election, we cannot afford to go into it lacking knowledge and adequate information about any candidate from consellorship to the presidential aspirants. We must know who we are giving the job of running Nigeria. Knowledge is POWER, and knowledge is what will be used to defeat the old ragged politicians this time around. So everyone get on your laptop, phones and other mobile devices and research on each candidate so we dont repeat the same mistakes we have been making all along. |
Abudu2000:Sowore encapsulated the priority of his government which was derived from a survey on prorities of Nigerians into the acronym, 'SPICER-HEAT'. SPICER' is an acronym for Security, Power, Infrastructure, Economy, Restructuring, Health and Education. Power is Electricity and it is in Sowore's campaign promise. Please lets always do our research properly before jumping into conclusions. We need to make sure we are well informed about issues which we talk about so be are not misled and also so we don't mislead others. Also, Security, Power, Infrastructure, Economy, Restructuring, Health and Education are all pillars of development in every developed country. kennynelcon:It is saddening to read comments like this. Many of us see Nigeria as this bottomless pit and nothing good can ever come out of it. Our people have been so broken and broke that they accept oppression and most times we even support and encourage our oppressors. Sadly, thanks to abject poverty, our people are now suffering from full-blown Stockholm Syndrome. . Every developed country you see today started from nowhere and got to somewhere. It did not take a miracle, it took the good people of that country to rise up and defeat poverty, insecurity and corruption. It's time for the good people of Nigeria to start from somewhere by first electing credible people (not criminals!) into our political space so political criminals will be defeated once and for all. |
Esseite:He killed his campaign because he spoke the truth? When did saying the truth become a crime in Nigeria? Yes, the Tinubu's and Saraki's of Nigeria should all be in jail, for the crimes they have committed against the Nigerian people. Nigerians must get JUSTICE and our country will continue to bleed and remain unjust until our criminal politicians go to jail one by one. As long as these politicians keep roaming around our streets, crime will be the order of the day. We cannot have criminals as leaders and expect anything to change in our country. They all need to go to JAIL, no exceptions. No, Sowore has no business being neutral. That's what some of the other presidential candidates are doing; playing politics by being afraid to say the truth. Wonder why Sowore is the name in town? Because Nigerians are tired of the dirty old politics of silence, bloodletting, cover-ups, fear, godfatherism and secrecy. Sowore is speaking to the conscience of Nigerians to stand for the truth and stand for what is right; he is awakening the Giant in the Nigerian people .. Nigeria needs a clean slate and a fresh start. How can this New Nigeria emerge? We must first cleanse and purge the land of all the bad eggs in our political space, and give power back to the Nigerian people. A true leaders should always be on the side of the Nigerian people and on the side of truth not a neutral. Neutral is another way of saying Sowore should be on the side of truth and at the same time in bed with corrupt people. That is not what Nigerians need right now. What Nigeria needs is a leader who is fearless enough to take on all the evil people that have kept our country in it's state and deliver the country from the hands of the evil ones. No more cowards, weak and feeble minded leaders. We need a leader that is brave enough to speak TRUTH TO POWER. My advise to all Nigerians, is this; we must end the FEAR and begin to say the truth. Our politics has been hijacked by criminals who have organised themselves to bring pain and misery to the Nigerian people. The truth is that our politicians are criminals and the place for criminals is in jail not in our society. Do not be scared of THE TRUTH. Only the truth will set us free ojobek:Let me tell you this; The only way Sowore will loose 2019 election is if he is killed before his time. As long as he lives, that man is going to become the next president of Nigeria. Any one still undermining him at this stage is probably thinking like the politicians of the old and their ancient ways of doing politics. 2019 election will shock not just the doubting Nigerians, but it will shock the entire world. Nigeria is ready for a revolution and it will not be an ordinary revolution; it will be the most peaceful, tactical and digitalised revolution in WORLD HISTORY. After delivering Nigeria, next will be to deliver the whole of Africa from all the old, wicked, evil, corrupt and incompetent dictators all over Africa. By the time this is over, Nigeria will not only have saved itself, Nigeria will be instrumental in saving the entire African continent and finally restoring the DIGNITY and RESPECT of the black man. |
SalamRushdie:That's why there needs to be credible and competent candidates coming out for all the political positions in Nigeria. The movement #takeitback is not about the person "Sowore", its a call for all well-meaning Nigerians to come out and contest for different positions in Nigeria. Lets dymistify our politics. Our leaders should be the best of us not the worst of us. Why should we have Buhari, Saraki, Rochas Okorocha, Dino Malaye, Ibrahim Idris (transmission-transmission) as leaders when we have brains, intellectuals and talented Nigerians everywhere?!! Even many of you writing on this post here know that you are better than all of this people combined and you can run a state or a country better than these guys even in your SLEEP. So what are we still talking about? Fact is that We cannot keep our country in the wrong hands and expect miracles to happen. Enough of the social media and nairaland analysis. Enough of the prayers and fasting. God has given us everything we need to make our country great; but yet in 2018, Nigerians are still afraid of progress and prosperity, why? Because they are afraid of their oppressors. Making Nigerian prosperous is not a job for one person alone, it will take ALL the good people of Nigeria to make Nigeria great. If there are no good people anymore on nairaland, in real life, there are so many good Nigerians out there who will take up the challenge and finally deliver Nigerians from the hands of the incompetent, corrupt and evil politicians |
Elxandre:Read the negative comments on this forum about her and see all the backlash she is getting for having a sit down with a US presidential candidate. That's the reason why she cannot address troubled people in a troubled nation. You see, other countries appreciate her knowledge and celebrate her wisdom, Nigerians are more interested in telling her to shut up and not have her views. Other countries are happy to respectly dissagree with her, unhappy Nigerians will find every reason to dissrespect her. This girl has achieved so much for our country and I appreciate her for enlightening others about our people with her books and eloquent speeches. I may not agree with all of her views but I love her for what she has achieved for Nigeria. Sadly, Nigeria remains a country where people elect Criminals, Thugs and Thieves into political offices while they keep the intelligent ones relegated to the background, demonising their best and brightest. Nigeria does not deserve Chimamanda. The leaders we elect are exactly the individuals we deserve. |
XaviDayo:The best counter argument you can come up with is to flaunt your obsession with pr*ick. Wow. Its a mans world? Well if it is, I hope you are happy with the world of suffering that your Nigerian male leaders have put you in... |
MrBrownJay1:You are amazing. The thing that saddens me is that a WOMAN wrote such trash. Was she abused as a child/adult?. Why so much misogyny and self hate speech coming from a women. God Forbid |
sirBLUNT:All men are not polygamous. Please speak for yourself. You are not the voice of ALL men. I encourage all decent and well-meaning guys to not take these "self-defensive" comments seriously. Remain, faithful, loyal, decent, grounded and respectful to women in your lives. It may be hard living amongst men who think hurting women by cheating on them and making passing comments like "men are polygamous in nature". -Just know that there are women (women who have self-worth), rooting and cheering for all our upright and upstanding men ALL THE FREAK*ING WAY. |
wristbangle:AGREED |
sirBLUNT:Agreed. No wonder the world is filled with very unhappy men, sleeping around and hoping they can fill the void and emptiness in their soul with more women. No wonder the Male suicide rates remain consistently higher than female suicide rates. Karma truly is a bitachh |
wristbangle:Nigerian politicians are renowned political prostitutes. Our young men are prostitutes as well because they can be bought with small money or a bag of rice just so politicians can use them as political thugs. If they are not bought by politicians, most are "online-dating" waiting and begging for their maga to pay. Almost every Nigerian is a bonafide prostitute, thanks to the sad state of our country. Nigerians can do anything for money; they can lick any a$$ that needs licking for money. Its always funny when I see Nigerian men quick to point a finger without realising that, prostitution is a shameless business in Nigeria, practised by both men and women, rich and poor. |
nextstep:There is nothing natural about it sir. It's all about power. We leave in a male-dominated society so men can get away with anything they do to women; rape, abuse, cheating etc. If men are stigmatised the way women are stigmatised for sleeping around, they will be grounded, but sadly, they are not. (Some men still are grounded but they had to ground themselves, no-thanks to society) Daughter's watch their fathers cheat on their mother time and time again. They begin to believe that that is how all men treat women. What most of these men don't realise is that when they are selfishly sticking their privates into any and all orifice, their daughters are watching and learning. Eventually, their daughters grow up believing that they are just objects for men to dig in and out. They become women who have very little value and respect for themselves and their bodies. But who cares about all this; after all, you believe this is "beneficial" to the society. My advice to men is this: Before you go ahead believing and adopting every crap society tells you is the norm or is "beneficial" for you, think about what you are teaching your daughters and the impact your reckless behaviour will have on her in the future. Be a good role model to your daughters and be the type of man you want her to marry when she grows older. That is your duty as a father, and no one will do it for you. So The choice is yours. |
XhosaNostra:You sound very angry, and sorry to disappoint you but girls like her get married much faster than the holier than though ladies(whether the marriage is a happy marriage or not is debatable). Why do promiscuous women get off the single-market so quickly? Because they are not pretending to be who they are not! They are being their authentic self and they are not wasting their time hating and judging other people. Married men are in a marriage contract and vow to be faithful to their wife TILL DEATH DO THEM PART. Why you are condemning these women without condemning the men who are clearly disrespecting themselves and their wives makes me wonder whether you think married women deserve to be cheated on by their husbands. Although I would never encourage the girl's behaviour, it saddens me when I see women hate their fellow women and seeing nothing wrong with the disloyalty and dishonesty of men. Personally, I don't understand why people are promiscuous but as far as am concerned, single men or women that decide to sleep around are entitled to use their body as they wish. Where it becomes evil is when the person sleeps around while in a relationship/marriage. So the cheating husband is very much in the wrong. Hopefully, he does not transfer STD to his wife someday. |
