RationalTV:
I started RATIONAL YOUTH FOR FUTURE REVOLUTION OF NIGERIA (RYFFRON) hours after Nigerian Youth Revolution Party (NYRP) was created. The truth is that just like every other nigerians, I have been seriously having similar idea for four years but didn't know how to go about it until I came across NYRP I was motivated. Though to join. I made an attempt and I was ignored by the mastermind. I made a request as a social media marketer to be the official media publisher of this organization, but I was ignored. Here is the quote. Check the page 1 of this thread you will see it.

.
Then I saw that my opulent Offer wasn't accepted. I decided to move on.
.
I am actually 19 years old and dreaming to take nigerian youths to their promise land by the use of RYFFRON. Which must surely come to pass in Jesus name Ameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen.
.
Though I made a mistake for not given the real dude behind the idea of this movement a platform credit.
.
RYFFRON and NYRP is speaking the same voice and we stand on the same path despite the different title. I used Ourchoice terms doesn't mean I can't write mine. Just that I dont want the two platforms to speak different voices.
.
Using the words and the terms of Ourchoice's NYRP risked my platform and my life seriously. I was deadly threatened by a police division near my community at rivers state alongside with my community paramount ruler. They came across the post on facebook and is like someone reported me. And the worst part of it is that RYFFRON have been talked about on radio station Raypower fm Port Harcourt this morning. They issued strong warning to the mastermind of RYFFRON movement which I listened and wept. Seriously speaking since yesterday I can't even stay at home. I removed all my facebook pictures and details. My fellow youth What we are about to do is very dangerous. And can cost lives.
.
I deleted the thread here on nairaland because your comment made RYFFRON to look like a fraud or opposing party to NYRP. I am not and can never be a fraudulent. My main username on facebook is Mr Rational Laughter. I have a comedy group with massive fan base. So am not hiding my identity. I just wanna drive change to this hell we call country.
.
In just two days RYFFRON got recognized by the state. But I am not comfortable running the platform. Because of its risk. My manager warned me, did all his best to change my mindset and move on to something else but I refused. He went ahead reporting to my parents. Yet I still refused. All I know is that RYFFRON whether dead or Alive. RYFFRON must take nigeria youth to their promise land.
He is here again. This guy seriously needs to be reported. He has brought his negative energy on this forum and he has to be stopped. You copied the original content of others and created a website today 24th of October. If you had any vision at all, you will not be copying ideas brought up by others and taking other peoples opinion (verbatim) to make your own website. Stop thinking people are foolish. OP asked you to join the cause but you declined and here you are lying that you were refused to join all because I have stalled your 2ND unoriginal thread and you are trying to save your ass. Contact the original OP and take down that scam of a thread and remove every copied message you took without the permission of the people you stole their ideas from to create your website. Then join the cause with the express permission of the original OP. Then and only then will we take you seriously. Stop with the lies. Look around you. Lies is what has kept your country where it is today. Why are you determined to continue with that trend. Are you not tired of it?

Good, i think the other guy have closed down the group.

Let's join hands together to make it work, its not good to be divided when the movement has not even taken effect, good one RationalTv for taking down your counterfeit group, join us here if you are genuine.
He recreated another post with similar content. He has even created a website of the same. I won't give him the attention he is craving for by wasting my time posting his new thread or his website on here, but I will attach his front page below. He practically copied what some of us have posted here to make up the content he put up on his fraudulent website's front page.

To all, let's stop sharing vital information and content until we get trusted members that we can share our ideas with. This is how they start destroying this mission. I can guarantee you that he is still reading and taking down our ideas so everyone needs to be careful the information you put out as more people like him will be reading through our comments, taking down ideas most of us have taken time to come up with for their own selfish purpose.

Anyways, How do I report a fraudulent person on nairaland, as this guy is making effort to steal peoples data and information in the name of a "good cause". How do I contact the moderators on Nairaland about his activities? This fraudster is not about to steal peoples vital data and information and other peoples original content under my watch!!!

We also have to ensure the right people are allowed to select the administrators of forums, groups and any other position. This will definitely make things more transparent. We need to remember that hardship makes people gullible. If we don’t keep an eye on who we elect to run things for us, we can still be infiltrated. Ask yourself, if offered a billion naira to destroy this movement, how many of us will say No? As we progress, they will use money to distract one or many of us.

For example; say I create an Instagram group page and one of this selfish politician buys me over, I will just close the group and delete the account, and that will be a blow, as we will lose our Instagram followers in that instance.

These things will eventually happen. So seeing the OP, is the starter of this movement, I advise that you take it upon yourself to do the initial selection. Then when you get enough numbers(maybe a small group of 10 trusted compatriots), the people you select can then join you in making decisions. Special thanks to everyone creating group pages on social media, but we need to still have checks to ensure that the people administrating these groups are incorrigible, unshakable in their belief in our country, and patriotic. If possible, no one person should have autonomy over the passwords of these groups created. This is not to undermine anyone, but rather to ensure that sycophants are not allowed to infiltrate and destroy this movement. Money can still buy a lot of Nigerians, thanks to all the suffering inflicted on us by our failed politicians. So let's ensure the right people are allowed to run groups and campaigns.

Fear is normal, but fear has never brought change. So for now, let's keep the ball rolling and keep hope alive. Contributions are necessary at this point and I'm sure someone will be able to provide the proper response to you soon enough. It's a work in progress, and its way too early to give up or lose hope. Yes, its still early days, but if you believe in Nigeria, then DON'T GIVE UP ON HER.

I will propose that after we get enough numbers, there will be competent people selected to address peoples fears and concerns. I honestly believe this is a must as someone I asked to join the group today is already concerned about their security. So I agree that answers must be given to any concern raised. But what you can be assured from responses so far on here is that we won't make false promises, such as 1naira=1$. Every question will be dealt with credibility, accountability and a lot of deliberation given, all based on facts while questioning the false hopes and promises that will be offered by the incompetent parties we have (as they always do). Debunking false promises from present political parties with undeniable facts can actually be one of our strengths.

Why should I wait?

What tale will I tell my children?

I was sitting in my house as a coward when men and women made history?

What is the sensitization plan?

In political science we call it mobilization (political mobilization)... I hope it was not just what I read in the front page?

How are the youths suppose to participate?

How can you convince some of our citizens that tribalism is just a political game used by the old men just to remain in power..?

So many questions right?
The answer usually lies in their track record. The country has not moved forward despite everything and everyone else they have blamed for it, be it tribalism, religion, or political parties. So why keep going along those lines? The people on top are the problem, not the citizens' differences. Our differences are just an excuse for them to get away with their lack of credibility. Our differences should unite us not separate us as we can learn from each other. This is all I can say. I just don't regard tribe or religion as a reason to not work with one another, so can't say more, but anyone else is welcomed to contribute and give an answer to these questions.

swagagolic01:
This thread is still alive... any hope in sight??
The forum started yesterday. Social media groups were created today. That's some progress. With more contribution from you and others, more progress can be made.

Hi MONDEW, can you suggest ways in getting rid of em?
MORNDEW:
Good day friends. I like this idea but we must understand that this is not a simple task. I was part of a similar group sometimes ago formed here on Nairaland. Born out of the cry of a graduate who has been jobless for years. We started off, I was ready to die for the course. But weeks later I discovered the tribal nature of the movement and left. I even created a thread on it.
You see this nation if full of tribal bigots and the youths are the highest proponents of it which is evidenced in comments on this forum. As we embark on this, note there will be tribal lords who will want to spoil it. APC PDP youths who will want to bring their own agenda. Are you guys ready to tackle this people?

I am in full support of this, and will bring my coordinating ability to bear on it and devote time for it only if we don't allow any tribal bigot in it, if we don't allow any religious bigot in it, any violent elements and boys of politicians who want to hijack it.
If this is supported by the organizers, then am in. If it's not, count me out.

I'm honestly surprised but glad that there has been no negativity on here, so we have something to be positive about. Only someone that truly hates this Great Country will want to maintain the status quo. When they come with their tribal and religious bows and arrow to disorganize the group, don't worry, because We will not pay them any mind. Or we can simply respond by quoting them and asking them; "How much have they paid you to hate your own country."

also, create an Instagram page.
To all, remember that the road to success is never easy. There will be challenges, and there will even be temptations on the way. If we can make this a reality, they will try to shut us down and if we remain united, it will not take long before these old incompetent men try to also buy us with money. They will start again with their failed promises just to keep us in check to enable them to continue undermining Nigerians. When that time comes, remember that the answer is simply, NO, in capital letters. No more deception! The love for our country cannot be bought with money from these deceitful, money hungry and bloodthirsty bigots. That money they will want to use to buy us with is the money they stole from us in the first place. It's our money, not theirs. Integrity and Resilience will push our agenda through. Stay focused and do not allow the distraction. 1960 till now is 57 years of failed governance. They have had enough chances. They must make way for patriotic Nigerians, and they can take their incompetence elsewhere.

This is a great idea....Yes i believe the youth can make dream nigeria reality , but this days am losing my trust for the youth because of our love for money, if this is not carefully check with great measure then the youth government will be worst than this old people we talking of chasing out in this revolution . Am an apostle of change and i believe in the gradual process . Journey of millon years start with a step, i support!!
I understand your concern but make no mistake, our youth have been left with no choice than to copy these leaders in their fraudulent ways. Nigerians are good followers, the problem is that the leaders they follow set the wrong example. If we can produce credible leadership, our youth will become credible and accountable. Nigerians go through university only to come out to meet a failed country that provides no job and no future for them. They resort to a life of crime just to make ends meet all because they have been left hopeless and choiceless. If we give them hope, if we can actualize their dreams, they would put their trust in us and follow the right example. Our country demands change. Our country demands progress. No more recycling of old expired politicians. Youths, let's take our country back from this evil, selfish and bigotted granddaddies. We will no longer be reduced to a mere laughing stock by them. We must have the last laugh. We deserve to smile for all the hard work we put into this country. We will smile at Nigerians progress. We will smile at the good roads. We will smile at the constant power supply. We will smile at the good security. Most importantly, we will smile at a united Nigeria, where everyone is tolerant towards each another. No more just suffering and smiling. We deserve to smile for once not smiling at our sufferings. We deserve to ripe the fruit of our labor and share this fruit equally among all Nigerians, not just one selfish man and his household. They cannot keep enjoying our hard work alone. They've destroyed us and our country enough! SO LET'S TAKE BACK THIS GREAT COUNTRY! LETS SET THE RIGHT EXAMPLE FOR THE GENERATION AFTER US! We are not independent when we still depend on other countries giving us visas to have hope for the future. LET'S GET REAL INDEPENDENCE!
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Youth Political Revolution Movement (NYRP) - Join NOW! by lindabon:
It's sad that our country has been divided among religious and ethnic lines. It's a real shame. These oldies know that tribal sentiment and division is what they need to take them to the top. They play with our future like a game of ping-pong.Its all a game to them and they will never take us seriously unless we demand rapid change. No more failed incompetent governors and presidents running endless elections even after they have done nothing when they were previously in the position of power. I currently live abroad and seriously want to come back to my country, but even the mere mention of my intention is met with a pushback from friends and family as they honestly think me coming to Nigeria is the most idiotic thing I or anyone can think of. Of course, I have ignored their fears and I remain determined to relocate back home. No matter how many foreign passports you acquire, you are and will still remain Nigerian. Enough of this hopelessness in Nigeria. Yes, our country is bad, but Nigeria still belongs to us. We cannot run away nor escape it. Please create the groups as soon as possible.
Every now and then, I read Nigerian news to see if there is a positive movement, something to give me the motivation that my idea of coming back is not an idiotic one. But every time I read Nigeria news, there is nothing positive, same old garbage. How can these heartless politicians sleep at night with the state of affairs? How do they justify the plundering of our wealth and natural resources for their own selfish purpose?

The bad roads still affect them
The lack of electricity still affects them
The lack of good schools still affects them (which is why they opt to send their children abroad).
The lack of security still affects them too(leading to them paying a ridiculous amount for their own personal security).
The lack of good hospitals still affects them (you will see them traveling abroad to treat a mosquito bite).

So why do they not want to make our country better, knowing fully well that the state of the country affects us all? They don't care simply because they are stupid and brain dead. They have no vision nor do they have long-term goals for our country. They just want to use the money they are supposed to use for the development our country to secure the future of their children abroad, thinking that by doing so, they will save their generation from the obvious mess they have created. Not knowing that this is not going to secure their children's future as we are still discriminated against and people will always look down on us unless we make our country relevant.
Look at the amount of money people pay for visas, even though a large majority of them are denied. Most of these countries impose ridiculous visa fees, knowing full well they have a cap on the number of applicants that they can give visa's to. Most of these countries foreign embassies are used to make big money for their own country. Imagine if this money is instead used in Nigeria to benefit Nigerian's instead of keeping it in the pockets of foreign embassies, who still treat us like garbage at their embassy, even in our own country.
I want every Nigerian to be able to hold their Nigerian passport and be proud of it when they are in any countries airport. I want every Nigerian to be taken seriously no matter the country they are traveling to. I want other countries to be interested enough to migrate to Nigeria with their talents which we can tap into, rather than the mass migration of Nigerians with their talent and skills out of the country. We are loosing at all front. We are loosing our highly talented and skilled countrymen and women, who take their talent to other countries where they will be valued. YES!!. Enough is Enough!! Please get the ball rolling ASAP. No dulling.

if you strongly believe this, why has religion lost its relevance in the west? The west is responsible for Christianity's expansion around the world since the late medieval period. Ironically, it was the scientific and industrial advancements of the west that enabled the label of Christianity to spread, while nevertheless causing the substantive religion to shrink in significance. The countries that brought Christianity to us in Africa have been abandoning it and some have completely lost touch with it. Weekly church attendance rates are low across Europe: roughly 30% in Italy and 12% in France. Less than 50% of Irish people attend mass even once a month. Weekly Church of England attendance is predicted to fall by 90% by 2050. In the 1960s, 79% of the British believed in God; thirty years later, it was 68%. Meanwhile, from the 1950s to the 1990s, those saying they did not believe in God rose from around 2% to 27%. But if you want to debunk these facts just so you can sleep well at night, then by all means, do so.

bloodofthelamb:
AS JESUS IS SO ARE WE..YOU CANNOT SEPARATE BELIEVERS AND CHRIST JESUS OUR HEAD...I AND CHRIST JESUS IS ONE.
No sir. You are not perfect. You make mistakes just like everyone else.

3. Isaiah 64:6 All of us are dirty with sin. All the right things we have done are like filthy pieces of cloth. All of us are like dead leaves, and our sins, like the wind, have carried us away.

4. Ecclesiastes 7:20 There is not a righteous person on earth who always does good and never sins.

5. Psalm 130:3-5 Lord, if you punished people for all their sins, no one would be left, Lord. But you forgive us, so you are respected. I wait for the Lord to help me, and I trust his word.

Let's stop picking parts of the bible that only suits our purpose. We are all equals in the sight of God and we all make mistakes. You go to God for forgiveness when you make mistakes, but you instantly down anyone that makes mistake, be it not accepting your views on Religion.
You will make mistakes, and your Friends will make mistakes, but just as God forgives you for your sins, forgive others.

11. Matthew 6:14-15 Because if you forgive people their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive people their offenses, your Father will not forgive your offenses.”

Live and let live. You have every right to hold your religious beliefs, but let others do the same as well, without resorting to denigrating them. I did not say that the bible is total garbage. I am saying that we need to pick the progressive parts of the scripture. The part that can get our society to where it needs to be. The current trend of religiosity in our country has lead to the rise of blatant hypocrisy. That's why people worship pastors instead of seeing them as men of God who are also flawed human beings. That's why our society is rife with corrupt politicians who practically plunder our resources. A good example is the 2011 election. Jonathan is a Pentecostal Christian of the Southern Ijaw tribe, and Buhari a Sunni Muslim and northern Fulani. Violence broke out after the 2011 race, leading to 800 deaths and 65,000 displacements in the north

Yet after killing each other, these people still leave us broken, helpless and hopeless. If someone is quick to use God as a defense mechanism, be highly suspicious of them because many times, they take advantage of our good nature. They think that we are stupid. Until we learn to accept that what is wrong is wrong and until we stop looking the other way when these people use religion, power, and privilege to undermine our people, Nigeria can bath in religion from now till tomorrow, but we will never move forward if we don't call a spade a spade. Regardless of someones religious orientation, If you see something wrong or someone doing something wrong, say its wrong. Our society is a mess because we allow a lot of nonsense to get swept under the rug. There is nothing wrong with your religious belief, but also stand up for what is right and just. Stand up for what is for the good of our people because If we want a better future for our kids, we need to stop allowing this trend of the rich and powerful getting away with their atrocities in the name of religion. Hold your beliefs close to your chest but don't allow yourself to be fooled by these lots who use us to play ping-pong all because of their own greed and selfishness.

None of you can produce a counter-argument. Quoting scripture and scaring people into accepting your religious ideas is not a way to win an argument. This is what religious folks do. Use fear to win souls. Ever wondered why the most religious countries score high on both corruption and poverty level? Nigeria is a very good example. Churches littered left-right and center but yet, the people wallow in corruption and acute poverty. What you are doing is nothing new. You use religion to excuse your condemnation of others and your sense of entitlement.
No matter your religion, the most important thing is to treat people with dignity and respect. If you are dark and hateful on the inside, if you do not care for people, if you have no morals, then you are just a horrible person regardless of your religion. Break bread with people even if they are different from you. Show love to your neighbor regardless of their religious orientation. Let God be the judge, not man. These are also some of the things your religion preaches, alongside other mixed messages. Do not just pick and choose the part of the bible that appeals to you. No one is perfect. So who are you to judge other people? Condemnation does not liberate, it only oppresses.
Happy Sunday, and remember to show love and compassion to your neighbor. Everyone deserves human kindness even if they are different from you. Human kindness is demonstrated by good deeds. The Bible teaches you that you must treat all strangers with human kindness. Kindness is a key Christian value that God desires for all of you to possess and to show to others. These are parts of the bible that I personally believe in. Not the fear tactic, the hate, the condemnation, the sense of superiority, the bloodshed, the complete lack of human compassion, the arrogance, and the segregation against people of different faith. You are not better than anyone else. Stay blessed and Stay humble!
Have a nice day.

4.Christianity supports Misogyny (Hate against women):
Christians must face the harsh truth; THE BIBLE IS HUGELY MISOGYNISTIC. We live in a world rife with misogyny and governed by ......

Answer is :

Misogyny means hadred of women. But the bible says in :

Ephesians 5:22-25 KJV
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
[23] For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
[24] Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
[25] Husbands, LOVE your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

It also says in:

Colossians 3:18-22 KJV
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
[19] Husbands, LOVE your wives, and be not bitter against them.
[20] Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
[21] Fathers, provoke not your children to anger , lest they be discouraged.
[22] Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

In any setting ,formal or informal there is always a leader. If there is no leader nothing great or good can be achieved. If there is need for a leadet, are you saying the women shiuld be the head or leadet? Leadership does not mean lack of love or freedom for the followers.

Misogyny is not applicable to Christianity . If it means hatred of women , why this FAKE criticism when it is written in the Bible you quoted that we should love our wives :

Ephesians 5:28-31 KJV
So ought men to LOVE their wives as THEIR OWN bodies. HE THAT LOVETH HIS wife LOVETH himself.
[29] For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
[30] For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31] For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be ONE flesh.
Misogyny is not applicable to Christianity . If it means hatred of women , why this FAKE criticism when it is written in the Bible you quoted that we should love our wives :

Why this FAKE criticism? here is why:

“A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.” (1 Timothy 2:11-14)
1 Corinthians 11:9, "for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake."
Colossians 3:18, "Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord."
1 Timothy 2:12–13, "But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. 13 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve."
1 Peter 3:7, "You husbands likewise, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker vessel, since she is a woman; and grant her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered."

You also stated that:
In any setting , formal or informal there is always a leader. If there is no leader nothing great or good can be achieved. If there is need for a leadet, are you saying the women shiuld be the head or leadet? Leadership does not mean lack of love or freedom for the followers.

If a man should lead in all things, let's pick traditional roles of gender for instance. Why does a man not lead in Housework? Why does a man not lead in breastfeeding his own child? and why does a man not lead in childbearing or labor during pregnancy? After all, he should lead a woman in all things. Women are strong enough to carry out these cumbersome tasks, yet you imply that they are not capable of being leaders. Wow!!!

If we ever want to create a balanced and fair society, we should adopt a progressive way of thinking that will include both genders working alongside each other and stop implying that one gender is superior or better than the other. Model A describes total separation of male and female roles, while Model B describes the complete dissolution of gender roles;

Education:
Model A – Total role segregation:
Gender-specific education; high professional qualification is important only for the man
Model B – Total integration of roles:
Co-educative schools, same content of classes for girls and boys, same qualification for men and women.

Profession
Model A – Total role segregation:
The workplace is not the primary area of women; career and professional advancement is deemed unimportant for women
Model B – Total integration of roles:
For women, career is just as important as for men; equal professional opportunities for men and women are necessary.

Housework
Model A – Total role segregation:
Housekeeping and child care are the primary functions of the woman; participation of the man in these functions is only partially wanted.
Model B – Total integration of roles:
All housework is done by both parties to the marriage in equal shares.

Decision making
Model A – Total role segregation:
In case of conflict, man has the last say, for example in choosing the place to live, choice of school for children, buying decisions
Model B – Total integration of roles:
Neither partner dominates; solutions do not always follow the principle of finding a concerted decision; status quo is maintained if disagreement occurs.

Child care and education
Model A – Total role segregation:
Woman takes care of the largest part of these functions; she educates children and cares for them in every way
Model B – Total integration of roles
Man and woman share these functions equally.

My question to you is, do you want to continue with segregation or do you want the integration of both men and women? It's your choice.

Christianity EtcIs Christianity Still Relevant? by lindabon(op): 5:50pm On Oct 21, 2017
I’ve grown and seen so many Christians who live and breathe hypocrisy and this is just sad. This is not the way forward, and we can’t keep living in denial expecting things to change. For all Christians, it will be worth noting that the earlier these issues are addressed, the better as failure to accept the discrepancy in Christianity and its holy book (the bible), will soon lead to its death, as we can see in most western countries. I will also like to add that although other religions may have similar problems, this is meant to address issues with Christianity because Christianity is the religion I was born into and I have knowledge of. Its a discussion for Christians, but can also be for other religious adherents who may have the same concerns.
I'm happy to be proven wrong with a counter and superior argument.

1. Bloodshed and violence in Christianity:
The idea that the Bible only offers a message of love, forgiveness, and charity is untrue.
"I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh" (Deut. 32:42).
When Joshua conquered the city of Ai, God commanded that he take away the livestock and the loot, while exterminating the inhabitants which he did.
God orders King Saul to strike at the Amalekite people, killing every man, woman, and child, and even wiping out their livestock (1 Samuel 15:2-3).
And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.(Numbers 25:4)
1 Samuel 15:3: "This is what the Lord Almighty says ... 'Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.' "

For those who would say that it's all in the old testament, please note that Jesus himself, together with the New Testament and the historic-orthodox Church and present day churches, embrace the entire Old Testament, including these violent portraits of God, as divinely inspired for the ultimate purpose of bearing witness to him (e.g. Jn 5:39-45) and especially to his death and resurrection (e.g. I Cor 15:3). I thus do not believe we are free to simply reject these portraits. Though we can’t consider them to be accurate reflections of God’s character, they must nevertheless somehow bear witness to the revelation of God in the crucified Christ.

2. Christianity is the root of the racism and segregation by white people on other races (blacks suffering the most in their hands), which still affects minority races even today. There are several verses in the bible that supports the ideas that some ethnic groups were saved or that some were superior to others. The fact that blacks are fervent believers, ignoring the pain and misery it brought on its own people is sad and heartbreaking. First of all, there is the constant claim that Jews are the “chosen people”. Now surely a history of the Jews should teach a strong lesson of the dangers of declaring one group of people superior to all others. It always ends in trouble. Just ask the Germans.

Numbers (verses 1-13): When the Israelites began to intermarry(commit whoredom) with the Moabites, a neighboring ethnic group with a different religion, God commanded Moses to smite “hang them. One man who married a Midianitish, was killed by an Israeli, Phinehas, who killed both couples with a JAVELIN. Phinehas was then rewarded by God with the covenant of peace and the covenant of everlasting priesthood. Moral of the story, “God does not want you to mix with people other than your own”

(Deuteronomy 23:3)
An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever;” Non-Israelis were banned from joining the religion. “

Matthew 15:22-8
“And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying; Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.”

This verse is always used to show how compassionate and tolerant Jesus is because he healed a Canaanite woman. But hold on a minute. He initially refused to speak to her merely because she was different. He also declared that he was only sent to care for the Israelites and only they will be saved. It was only after she is forced to beg and worship him, grovel and compare herself to dog eating crumbs, that Jesus decided to heal her daughter.

Invasions, racism, segregation, colonialism are all based on the idea that one race is superior to another. How can we not see this? Colonial masters came and gave this religion to us claiming that our ancestors have committed so much sin, but look at the trail of bloodshed that the religion came to us with. At least our ancestors never thought themselves superior to other races. Yes, they fought tribal wars but it was never based on invasions and the need to exploit other people's natural resources leaving them with nothing but a broken, poor, vulnerable and terrorized race, with a sense of inferiority. Now they have gotten what the want, (enriched themselves), they have abandoned the religion and have left it for us. Look back in our history and look at our society now, were has Christianity taken us to? Well, pastors for one are taking advantage of it though; Private jets, lavished lifestyle, but what about the poor hungry masses?

3.Christianity supports slavery.

Do we want to forget that the culprits of the mass slavery of blacks in the transatlantic trade were European, who justified their diabolical acts with views held in the bible
• Abraham, the “father of faith,” and all the patriarchs held slaves without God’s disapproval (Gen. 21:9–10).
• Canaan, Ham’s son, was made a slave to his brothers (Gen. 9:24–27).
• The Ten Commandments mention slavery twice, showing God’s implicit acceptance of it (Ex. 20:10, 17).
• Slavery was widespread throughout the Roman world, and yet Jesus never spoke against it.
• The apostle Paul specifically commanded slaves to obey their masters (Eph. 6:5–cool.
• Paul returned a runaway slave, Philemon, to his master (Philip. 12).

4.Christianity supports Misogyny (Hate against women):
Christians must face the harsh truth; THE BIBLE IS HUGELY MISOGYNISTIC. We live in a world rife with misogyny and governed by patriarchy.
This I believe is because the bible was written by men, so they had to construct it in a way that was favorable to them. If women were included in writing this great book, I’m sure the bible would have had a balanced approach, rather than one which empowers men on one hand and disempowers women on the other. Rape and domestic violence against women have all been aided by this idea that women are lesser than men and men can do whatever they want to do to them.

I’m of the view that we should Stop reading the Bible like a car manual:
There are still so many Christians who read the Bible like a car manual or a science textbook, rather than a collection of historical writing, poetry (and, dare I say it, fiction) that it is. There are many intelligent people of faith who would never dream of reading a poem or even a newspaper, thinking that what they’re reading is 100% empirically true then and forevermore; yet when it comes to the Bible they throw all their God-given interpretative faculties out the window, because they believe that scripture is divinely inspired in such a literal way that it’s as if the ‘truths’ of the Bible have been dropped out of heaven, completely intact and written out word-for-word.
We have to find a way to reconcile the Bible with the present day.

But I would prefer to smile and laugh regardless of which mode of transportation I use. As long as I'm happy and I can bring happiness and joy into peoples lifes, it does not matter if I'm in a Bugatti or a bicycle. An addition to my happiness will be if I buy the Bugatti/Bicycle through my own hardwork, perseverance and with MY hard earned money.

Broke or not, respect each other. Money does not make anyone.. You can have all the money in the world, and still be unhappy. Money is good just like everything else, but if you're a miserable person, you will remain in misery no matter how much money you have.
I wish everyone on earth become billionaires, so that people will see that money does not solve all life's problems

Secondly, its equally essential for a woman to have money just as it is for a man. Making Money is not exclusively what a man should aspire for. Women should also hustle their way to the top. Men are not money making machines. Men are human-beings just like women, so why should it be their job to make money for you?
Regardless, everyone needs to have it at the back of their mind that, MONEY WILL NOT BRING HAPPINESS. Once you accept this, and you know what money means to you, go out there and work hard to get it

RomanceRe: Lies Women Tell To Themselves. by lindabon:
If all men are dogs, you are probably the one barking. Moreover, when you use 'all' in a statement, it is fallacy of faulty generalization. For those of us that use the excuse that, a man having a bone*r is why he has to cheat, first and foremost, people that have been raped sometimes still have orgas*m. Does that mean because they had a bone*r, they wanted to be raped? No!! It is a human response to touch that leads to erection which in turn leads to climax, with or without their consent. That is also the response of most men to an attractive woman; there is erection, but is that a go ahead to sleep around? No! Its your body's response to “an attractive woman”. Do you think because women don’t have erection, that they don’t have a body part that gets excited when they see an attractive man? We are humans, both men and women, not objects, and how we respond in times of “excitement” is entirely up to us. Yes, men are less likely to have self control, because people like the OP, have already excused and permitted men to do as they like in advance. Reward and Punishment;if you reward/ignore a bad behavior, it will likely continue and even escalate. Boys are not told countless times to “zip up”, but girls as they grow up, at every turn, they are being told to “close their legs, cover themselves”. This indoctrination is the reason why in the past, women were more likely to have more self control than men. But even with all the stigma attached to infidelity in women, women still cheat, and they are catching up with their male counterpart at a very fast pace. If you look at the studies into paternity, figures show that between 8 to 15 per cent of children, haven’t been fathered by the man who thinks that he’s the biological father. Women are having more affairs than ever before; the figure is around 20 percent for men and a bit over 15 per cent for women. Alarming ? Maybe, but I’m afraid, the trend is going to continue. Girls have grown up, seen their mothers, aunties and other females, be the “ideal wife”, the “submissive wife”, the “patient wife”, and still, these women get treated like trash. They are now wondering , “Why should I be a conservative wife, when regardless of how loyal or submissive I am, a man will still abuse me, cheat on me, and disrespect me?”. “Why should I be faithful when no matter how faithful I am, society will still blame me for anything that happens between me and my husband”. So, again reward and punishment; if these women are not getting rewarded for their subservience to their husbands, why should more women follow suit? Why should they do the same thing that the women before them have tried and failed generation after generation? Madness, after all, is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Most girls are now overcoming their inhibitions and you know what they say, “if you can’t beat them, join them”. If it was possible for cheating individuals to only be with people that cheat on them too, it would have been a perfect match. But unfortunately, there are so many faithful men that do not deserve this trend. If we want to build a society where men and women treat each other with dignity and respect, we have to take a bold step and condemn attitudes and behaviors that are destructive. Double standards when it comes to cheating seems to be encouraging cheating by more women. So to parents, BRING UP YOUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS TO BE FAITHFUL AND DECENT HUMAN BEINGS. This one sided bull*crap needs to stop, else, if we keep making excuses for men’s attitude towards women, we can all sit back, relax and brace ourselves for a 21th Century Sodom and Gomorrah, and the fact that women are skilled at keeping their affairs secret, I can say with certainty that women will win this cheating war that seems to have broken out between men and women. BRACE YOURSELVES I TELL YA!!

Nice one. The only reason Nigeria is not on that list is because of Christians in the south. Hopefully, Marie le pen would get in and do the same in France too. The reason why most Christians in the west are naive enuf to allow Muslims in is because they do not understand want we face here. Just 0.7% Muslims in USA yet they create so much havoc that ppl are now scared now imagine what Nigerian Christians are going through sharing an almost equal population with them.
Most of the worst crimes where committed in the name of Religion, Christainity being the number one. Slavery, Colonialism, commited by Westerners who were mostly Christains. The entire African continent is still in turmoil because of Christianity of the West. In current day and age, you have pastors living opulent lifestyles amid the adject poverty of their congregation. This is evil, vile and diabolical. If you think its only when one detonates a bomb and kills thousands, that he/she is considered evil, I'm sorry, the state of Nigeria amid churches littered left, right and center, is beyond EVIL. Stop Blaming just Muslims; Religion is the opium of the People. Nothing good ever comes out of it. Ever wondered why countries with the most religious people also have the highest levels of corruption ??

Christianity was used by The White man during colonial invasion in order to justify their actions and satanic oppression. Christianity was not a saving grace but a monolithic and aggressive force that was imposed upon defiant natives by arrogant and rapacious imperialists. Christainity and Islamic division is the reason why we can't move forward as a nation because instead of fighting to make our country better, we are fighting, condemning and hating our country men and women. How can we move forward when we're busy defending the religion of the very people that oppressed us for years? We need to defend our very own first, before defending this machinery of Western cultural imperialism. undecided
