NYRP - NIGERIAN YOUTH POLITICAL REVOLUTION MOVEMENT

The involvement of youth in national development is a must. Youths play one of the most important roles in nation building. The objective of NYRP movement is to be a platform under which visionary and selfless youth leaders from all parts of Nigeria could be elected to pioneer the next generation of Nigerian leaders, starting from; president, governors, senators, reps, LGA chairmen, state assemblies, etc, to build a new Nigeria that will be more prosperous and favorable to every Nigerian irrespective of tribe, religion or political affiliation.

Youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also the partners of today. Young people are social actors of change and progress. They are a crucial segment of a nation's development. Their contribution, therefore, is highly needed.

But where are the youths of Nigeria in our Politics. If our politics is filled with old minds, how is this in our countries best interest? How can we bring development when the innovative minds of the youths are not involved? How can we grow as a nation when the majority of the youths are unemployed?

Understandably, the state of our country has left the youths disempowered. But I ask; Do we want this same future for our children? Do we want our children to end up like us, hopeless and helpless in a failed country?
If your answer is “No”, then its time we take the front seat and bring our minds together. Lets stop wasting our education and rather use our young vibrant minds to reshape our country and make Nigeria a country our children can be proud to call their fatherland. Let our children not have to carry the Nigerian green passport at other countries airports with shame, but rather with pride. Yes, we can achieve this if we stop leaving politics in the hands of people whose time has come and gone; and I say this with all due respect to our old politician. We need new ideas, and new policies. We need young minds.

The hunger, desire, motivation, determination and high energy of the youth can make all the difference in either destroying or building a nation. Stop being mere errand boys and girls for old and mostly failed politicians who leave us in the dark once they attain positions of Power. The young have passions, dreams and hopes. They have bubbling enthusiasm which has to be regulated and utilised in the right way. This will surely ensure rapid national development. After all, all the people can only exercise their full potential when they are young and energetic. Youth is that period in which revolutionary thoughts spring to mind and these thoughts shape the world we live in. Bill Gates the founder of MicroSoft is a living example. He had a revolutionary thought and he exercised that thought and look at how he has changed the world today.

When you see a leader using words like "or so", thats when you realise that since independene, our country has remained in the hands of clueless failed politicians!!! I respect everyone regardless of their religious doctrine. I wont even wish any evil befalls you just because we have a difference of opinion. Being kind to everyone (even those who wish the worse for me) has always kept me going as an individual. Love in your heart is like gas in the tank of your car. When it’s full, you can go the distance. When it’s empty, you’re stuck. A full tank of love is the reserve needed to face the daily difficulties that await all of us.. The reason why people have so many misfortunes in their life is because their mind is dark and filled with hate and condemnation of others. So often, many of us throw morality out of the window because we don't really understand our religion or because we use religion to mask our own wickedness and evil. Once your mind is calm and full of love, their is no room for hatred or condemnation and others will trust you and love you in return because of your open heart.

Okay I'm with you on that. Let's keep educating people on fake pastors now rampant in our country. Some have seen how bad things have become and will cease this opportunity to deceive the poor and vulnerable.We know how things happen in Nigeria; Once a trend starts, it spreads like wild-fire and becomes almost impossible to Stop. This is now a fast growing business and does not seem to be slowing down. Our people are suffering alot and to have the little they have, taken away from them by some of these fake healers is heart-breaking.

If only we can follow his recovery process, then you can say with certainty. But to just swallow everything hook-line-and-sinker is just allowing yourself to be easily persuaded to believe anything.

Research mental health issues. You'll see that most mental conditions can happen occasionally. It may be during the cooling phase of the condition that the deliverance happened as tricks like this will be carefully planned from start to finish. This so-called miracle healer may have read or even educated himself on these issues and has used his knowledge to try and out-smart you and I.

This is what stops us from challenging our failed leaders to do better for us. Its because we simply believe that miracles can make our problems go away. If this is the case, why are Nigerians still wallowing in poverty.

Pray to God and show kindness to your neighbours. Anyone collecting money to pray for you or to give your money to charity on your behalf is only using you to enrich himself. Do not be fooled because they will eventually buy their own private jet, while you will still be eating "from hand to mouth"

Why are we so foolish. Even I saw this happening in Zimbabwe as it was just a matter of time, since tension has been brewing over there. This is more like "I told you so". His other prophecies have failed to come to pass. All of a sudden, everyone is now blinded from his past failed prophecies just because he guessed this one right. Kai, Nigerians why are we so gullible. A prophesy would be more detailed; It will state what will happen to him. It will state who will replace him; If his replacement will be the messiah Zimbabweans have been waiting for. It will be more detailed than this. Don't you guys read the bible at all to know what a prophesy is. He is just an ordinary man like you and me who needs to hustle. Unfortunately the world is too corrupt, compromised, wicked, ruthless, heartless and money hungry, for a prophet to exist in our time. If he is so assured he is a genuine prophet, let him prophesy the Kim Jung Un sitiation and the resolution. He can't because no one has a way round it. But, trust, once someone does their homework and comes up with a viable solution, you'll see him and his likes spewing prophesy.

Superstition makes us resilient but doesn’t keep us realistic or prepared. We don't do well in most things because we choose to believe in external forces first but never take time to believe in ourselves. If Pastors want to make super eagles successful, they would start by making donations or contributions to develop the youth academy or Nigerian Football Association. But they would rather resort to empty hopes and dreams through prayers and endless fasting.

Poverty, Lack of Education, Hunger and Starvation. Take away all these sufferings and housemaids will cease to exists. We just have to wait for a time when Nigeria will be great. For now, we can only hope for the worse, sadly

This kind of news makes me restless as I know that "JUSTICE WILL NOT BE SERVED!"

I will reinterate that roles need to have a team behind it. We should have roles fully padded and backed by a working-team so that if one person decides to leave, they don't leave with everything that we have been working hard for which could leave us in the dark. Why I understand the need for more members before forming teams, I want to use this example to show the importance of having a team behind every persons role. So that if one person decides not to be part of the movement or decides to take a break, others in the team can continue running things. The team members can also keep each other motivated in hard and difficult times

For all those handling different tasks at the moment, please if you give up at any point, at least handover or relinquish your role to someone else willing to take over from you. Don't throw away all the hard-work and effort you and others have put in the movement. I'm also not into admin roles and would happily give up the role for someone who has more passion for it as I'm not a fan of power, publicity and fame.

They say Nigerians are impatient. They say Nigerians have short-term thinking (enjoy today and forget about tomorrow mentality). I can say that this is true in my experience and it is why we are here in the first place. Our country is suffering as a result of our leaders own short-term greed, which we are all guilty. For this movement to be successful, we must do the opposite of what our leaders have already done. Patience is one of the things lacking in our leaders and we should try to form a habit of always keeping tomorrow in mind and remember that our actions today will determine the outcomes of our lives and that of our future generation in the years to come.

As I said in my previous post, only one member has been banned from the facebook group. Hopefully @shophut can comeback and let us know where it all went wrong. NYRP is ready to take corrections if there has been failings on our part. So far, I can only see blocked member "1" not "2" so not sure how to proceed without hearing from him.

I'm sorry to hear this but so far, there has been just one blocked member on the facebook group. Photo of the fb group page has been attached below, showing Blocked "1". Also gave the blocked member a chance to state their case, but that offer has so far been declined. Sometimes we need to take a step back and be sure of what went wrong before landing to conculsions. We also should contact the admins and make our grievances known instead of just saying "to hell". Even if you got banned, what if it was done in error? What if it was an oversight? Ask questions, and if all else fails then you can go for condemnation. Lets do things properly and give advise if needed. No one is above correction and No one is above making mistakes. We are all here to learn from each other.

Peaceful revolutions that have occurred are the Bloodless Revolution (also known as the Glorious Revolution) of 1688 in United Kingdom, the People Power Revolution of 1986 in the Philippines, the peaceful revolution of 1989 in Germany, The successful resistance to 1991 Soviet coup d'état attempt.

Everything in life is possible if we set our minds and our hearts to it. Violent political parties are normal in Nigeria. If we do more of the same, we are doing nothing new. Violence begets violence. Even if the current system decides to be violent, our resistance will be peace and calm. If we attack them in similar fashion even if its with good reasons, it wont take long before the government and other conniving international bodies label us "a terrorist group" and completely annihilate us on this grounds. If we don't attack them, they will be the bad guys, not US and everyone will then see them for who they are; Ruthless and Divisive. That is enough to gather more support.

Instead of sticking to violence as a means to an end, how about navigating from that and think of what starts violence in your experience then advise on how to avoid violent uprising before it occurs. You can even advise on how to handle the banning process better so that others won't have the same experience.


I did ask why you got banned. I am not above being banned myself if I violate the rules. No one is. But if I think it was done in error or I'm willing to accept my mistake, thats a show of humility. No one is above correction my dear and Everyone makes mistakes. NYRP can learn from you and you can learn from NYRP. We can all learn from each other, but mocking or ridiculing people with good intentions that will benefit you and me is just wrong. Lets show humility at all times bearing in my that humility is not thinking less about yourself, rather it's thinking of yourself less.

You need to move on. If you can be mocking a movement geared towards making a better society for you and your future generation, then that is quiet sad. But even with your resentment, I hope and pray that you will witness a great Nigeria in your time.

To NRYP members, nothing in life is ever easy. Personally, even with the slow progress, I refuse to lose hope. My love for Nigeria conquers any part of me that wants to be dismayed. If you ever feel like giving up, ask yourself; What other option do Nigerians have?
If you can't find an alternative, stick with the movement till the very end no matter what. If for nothing else, at least one day, you can tell your children that you tried everything you can to give them a better future than the one you had. That is a remarkable honour.

Success can be a long and winding road, filled with many obstacles and challenges. It requires us to take action daily, to be persistent and consistent in our efforts which is not always easy to do. We can easily lose our motivation, especially if yesterday did not bring us the progress that we were hoping to make. It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.

Lets not lose momentum!!!!

Instead of the police to secure the crime scene, investigate the crime and bring the perpetuators of the henious act to justice, they are busy forming paparazzi.

Take them to jail. No need for videos. Then next, jail the government officials in Nigeria whose actions, directly or indirectly lead teenagers and youths into this kind of lifestyle. A country that lacks good role models will have to deal with criminality among its citizens.

Please, is it PDP or APC that is currently in government? This is becoming very confusing. PDP was bad, yes we get it. We have heard it before and we can still hear it now, but frankly its beginning to sound like a broken record. If APC is currently in government, can we focus on the good APC has done or will do before election in 2019? Can we not focus on the current and use the past as reference if need be? How hard can it be to concentrate on the task at hand for Christ's sake!

Which govern, governor abi government. Oh you mean the ones that are busy looting our public funds? I see. Well, If anyone deserves jail time, its our corrupt government officials. When they are put behind bars, and all the money they have stolen from poor suffering Nigerians is recovered, then we can come and debate the Borisky gay issue. For now, gays are not the ones causing Nigerians poverty, hunger and starvation. Maybe when we start focusing on the sufferings we as Nigerians face instead of worrying about peoples choices, then Nigeria can become a great nation. We can go ahead and put all the gay men in jail, but abject poverty will still remain in our country. Our suffering will not depart from us because gays and other irrelevant persons are not Nigerians biggest problem. Our failure to set our priorities right is our biggest downfall as a nation.

I'm tired, and fed up with all these failures in Nigerian politics. Do they think Nigerians are fools or are Nigerians not bothered about all these ridiculousness? Fact is that they have completely destroyed Nigerian Youth's future, but I do not think we want the future of our kids to end the same way; joblessness, hopelessness and with the only hope being to travel abroad to any country, as long as its not NIGERIA. Look at most foreign embassies and the number of Nigerians clamoring for visa out of the country; one would even think that Nigeria is at war.

Not for Yemi Alade or against her, but one of her music (Johnny) is currently the most watched Nigerian music video of all time, and with that record, its very safe to say that she is not doing badly at all. I am not one to care or advocate for people to give a s*hit about "haters" but in all honesty, If we can't give credit were credit is due, maybe she is right to state that she has haters.

Black people have a lot to worry about, but there are loads of Blacks/Nigerians that still engage in charity work. Giving is an act of kindness but raving over the skin color of the giver only tends to happen with us. White people are not better than black people or any other race. Lets stop with the inferiority complex.
