CrimeRe: Maid Raped By Her Madam's Husband And Son In Lagos, Flees To Asaba (Pics) by lindabon:
Is that it? So the perpetrators of this heinous crime are somewhere chilling? What does Nigerian police department do? Why have the rapists not been brought to justice? Why have they not been arrested? What Nigerian police fails to understand is that as long as law breakers are left to roam the streets freely, more innocent people will be victims. I am sure the rapists are already recruiting another innocent soul. And sadly, that one might not survive. When will our security department start holding criminals to account and stop them from committing more crimes? Prison is not just about punishment, its also a place to keep offenders away from none offenders, in other to have a safer society. Nigerian security needs to get their eish together for peace sake. My Goodness!!!!

...and anyone talking about "konji". Please note that there is a huge difference between sexual deviance and sexual urge; One is out of control, and the other is within control. HUGE DIFFERENCE!! . These people are criminals and anyone's daughter or son can fall victim. Sad that we think everything boils down to a mans insatiable urge!
Learn to condemn crimes when you see it. The ease at which we turn things into a joke is why our security officers and the government they serve never bother to persecute criminals. Because for most Nigerians, everything is a joke; rape, murder, pedophilia, domestic violence, corruption, every. Lets start taking crimes seriously. There is nothing funny about this girls ordeal. This can be anyone's child, and children by their very nature can be easily manipulated and are easy target, even with the most disciplined and loving parents.
NO ONE IS SAFE WITH CRIMINALS ROAMING THE STREET!!

To all NYRP members, please lets keep our focus on achieving our goals and objectives and believe in ourselves. We will keep distancing ourselves from anyone clamouring for blood or violence by making sure no member with ego, pride, a sense of entitlement or with self interest is allowed. We need to create a whatsapp group as it will help with more organisation and transparency. @ourchoice can you do this or request someone else to do it?

Happy with all the suggestions from every one. Please keep them coming. This a relatively new movement so do not be dismayed with the lack of planning and control. All these would be resolved. I'm sure everyone who has been given a responsibility is doing their best. Remember that this is not the typical political movement which is always about money and self-interest. If we do more of the same thing, we won't get a different result.
#NYRP is something new. Doing something new often requires a lot of courage and needing to summon courage is itself a benefit. So, do not loose the momentum.

NYRP admins are not lazy and I'm sure they welcome being held to account and pushed when they need it, as this will help them improve. If you have any questions or want to offer a solution, feel free to express yourself.

LET ME SAY THE TRUTH, MANY YOUTHS ARE TIRED. THEY HAVE GIVEN UP ON THIS COUNTRY. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT IT OR ANYTHING. THEY ARE LIVING LIFE THE WAY THE SEE IT, HUSTLING WITHOUT SENDING THE GOVT. BUT THAT IS NOT THE RIGHT WAY. WE MUST SHAKE THEM, MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND THAT NIGERIA IS BIGGER THAN THEM. OYETPEL AND OTHERS, DON'T GIVE UP. ONE LOVE.
I second this
Never give up on your country. Nigeria belongs to all of us. If we lose interest at the slightest provocation or challenge, NYRP will never become a reality. When we notice divisive characters, we should educate and enlighten and if this fails, we must drop such entities as they will do nothing but slow or stop the momentum. Hopefully, the success of this movement will make them have a change of heart someday, but we can’t dwell on the negativity; we simply must move on from it. No one is truly happy with the conditions in Nigeria, even the rich and powerful. But if some people want to fold their arms and watch our country collapse in their very eyes, it’s the same as saying "My future is not important to me. My child’s future is also not important to me, and I'm happy to watch Nigeria destroy itself, because I have chosen to do nothing about it".

I understand Nigeria is hopeless for everyone but why think the worse? Things can't get any worse, nor are things going to get better with the current state of affairs.

I want to also remind everyone that Nigeria has more than 500 ethnic groups, 521 languages and is a religiously diverse society, with Islam and Christianity being the most widely professed religions

These diversities are the root of Nigerians problems so if anyone thinks that “a better Nigeria for all” is going to come easy, I can tell them now that it is NOT going to be. But what will not help is selfishness, egotism, tribalism, dishonesty, religious divisions, sense of entitlement, corruption and losing hope. We should learn from each other and our diversity should be our greatest strength, but it should not divide or separate us. Please let us love our country and everyone in it because Unity is the only hope for a better Nigeria.

I dunno your definition of a strong woman but I do know that African society censures women indulgence with multiple men for emotional and sexual gratification.

That said, polygamous choice of some African men has cultural and religion backing. It has no bearing on weak or strong men (as you coined). Relationships demand sensitivity and responsibility from parties involved. If the relationship is devoid of these elements, then the union is not meant to be.

By the way, am not a fan of polygamous relationships. My opinion only validated what our society stands for
You are right at some point but does not remove from the fact that the men that originally came up with these laws did so because of their own insecurities. No strong confident man will want to create laws that only appeal to them, neglecting the needs of others. Some people need to criticize you in order to drag you down. .... Some people can't function without negativity because bringing down others makes them feel better about themselves. That for me is weakness cause if a person is strong and confident in themselves, they would not feel the need to drag others down.

I don't even have a problem with polygamy as long as its the woman's choice and the woman is allowed to choose to marry multiple men as well. I don't also have a problem with promiscuity as long as the people the person is involved with are informed and allowed to choose to be with the promiscuous person or not.. But problem always arises when there is an imbalance, in this case when one gender is allowed to sleep around and have multiple mates and the other is forbidden or stigmatized for doing same. Religion, culture or not, treat everyone equally, regardless of their gender. We must not swallow everything society tells us. Treat every human being the way you want them to treat you.

It does not matter what you believe. It's the natural order of thing.

Seen a woman who lives with 4 husbands in one house? But it's not strange when a man lives with 4 or more wives under the same room.

Is my believe still disputable?
It's strange for me and a million other people in the world today. But for you, it is not strange because admittedly, we still live in a male-dominated society, so men still make the rules and it's their selfish interest first before anyone else.

Stop shielding your fragile ego with numerous women.

Fact is:
A strong man will rise up to the pain in his relationship, face it, and not run into the arms of other women. He will slowly learn that when he is triggered by his wife, he has inner work to do in himself not use many wives as a form of defense.

A weak man will defend himself and blame his girlfriend or wife, marry more wives and keeps blaming everyone and everything. He also thinks that the world owes him something, or that “it” should be easy, and uses any form of oppression to bring other people down while lifting himself up, including marrying numerous women. He wants what he cannot give. He has no respect for himself so makes every effort to disrespect or demean others

There is a reason why weak men can't handle strong women. That’s because weak men lack everything it takes to be a supportive, adoring partner to a woman who knows her worth and her potential

Are you a strong or a weak man? The choice is yours

And I give you 3years, this party would start controlling some states.

Yes, but we need to do the opposite of what they have done themselves which are; attacks, guns, violence and blame games. The priority should remain to sell our practical goals and objectives to the Nigerian public, and less about them. Let our social media platforms speak the truth. We will avoid inciting them at all cost as that's exactly what they will be waiting for and then it won't take long before they label us a "terrorist group".

This has to be a peaceful revolution. Avoid word exchanges with them, avoid insults and no violence. They've turned us into animals and they will expect us to act like one. But we will lose our animalistic tendencies this time and we will be human again. They will wait for a reaction but they won't get any from us. Let's keep it peaceful knowing that peace and unity is their worst NIGHTMARE.

I hope you realize that some things appreciate even when used and some that depreciate with constant use. That is the difference between your thing and his. Besides, you cannot tell if a man is a virgin or not, but one can tell if a woman's thing has been dug and can even detect the depth and breath of the hole. Wisdom demands that one should avoid entangling oneself with what puts him/her at a disadvantage. This can only be resolved if our culture also gives the women folks the right to marry a man they choose at their most favourable time of their life. Till then, pls remain brand new if you can, though I douth you're, in order to command a high bargaining power. No man wants his something to be measured with others because his thing cannot be expanded or reduced even with constant use. It is just the bitter truth.
Blackfyre:
At least you said some guys. undecided

Btw, it's not a crime or bad thing, we all make mistakes and no one is perfect but to continue with the attitude of one stupid mantra of sexual liberality by talking about length of dicks, fat dicks or how natural ot is for there to be comparisons among partners when such a man hasn't shown to be deficient or not willinging to put in his best to satisfy you sexually is unacceptable.

It is an insult upon the man who wishes to make you his personal treasure. Haba, you Bleep them finish, you are now telling me the tale of their length or how there will be comparisons? The issue is the attitude and how much you respected your body.

A woman may have had ten sexual partners, question is how did it get to ten and particularly how do you see those experiences.
PierreDeFermath:
if they bring out stories of some white zoophiles fucking dogs, horses and saying they feel its cool, you would be the first to insult them because you don't practise it,but because you practise this, that's when you know that everybody is entitled to their opinion. hypocrite!!
STILESGANG:
You girls comparing yourselves to men should start sleeping with any dick that comes your way and let's see who would lose..No man wants a public property.
If extra-marital sex is forbidden for both men and women, according to those who claim that Islam/Christianity/other religions treat the two sexes equally, then why not “seal” or “restrain” men too? The answer is that the illusory chastity belt serves no purpose but to deepen discrimination between the sexes and prevent the sexual maturity of young women while unleashing the sexuality of males. Thanks to patriarchy. And all these despite the fact that plenty of women don't even bleed the first time they have sex? !

So much fuss over a little flap of skin right! I mean, really. It's no wonder that, with these kinds of stakes, there have been as many ways to fake one's virginity throughout history as there have been ways to prove it. Like taking the bladder of a fish, filling it with pig's blood and pop it in your vagina before the big night so that it would burst when you had sex. And today, there are doctors who will actually reconstruct a girl's hymen. The practice is called hymenorrhaphy and, in some cultures, it is done using sheep's membrane while others use catgut to stretch across a young woman's vagina. Occasionally, they will pop in a gelatin capsule full of blood-like liquid that is meant to burst when the girl has intercourse.

Please, worry about yourselves and your virgin bride. Don't worry about other women who choose to be disvirgined by "preeks" . They are doing just fine with their boyfriends, husbands, partners or one night stands. It's their bodies NOT YOURS. Stop obsessing over women that don't belong to you; VIRGIN OR NOT. Virginity is an outdated standard that has been used more to shame than mark sexual initiation. Please keep living in the past and allow others to move on.

NYRP is not yet registered as a political party. I'd like to advice that even as we bask in the excitement of the possibilities that lie ahead, let's be circumspect not to overreach ourselves. There are procedures that must be thought through and followed. I believe that a strategy group would handle those accordingly. Please let us be guided!
I think there may be a need for more urgency actually, but of course, even urgency requires a certain amount of care and deliberation. Patience is also of utmost importance and as much as I would like to appeal for patience, we need to understand the country we live in. The truth is that Nigerian's have lost patience and if we don't have plans in place, we will look unserious to them. We are up against these vicious pythons called PDP and APC, who will be on the other side drafting all these policies that they come up with in the toilet. It's not that Nigerians have been stupid to accept their crooked promises, it's always because there is a hunger for change even if its one that is lacking in substance. Waiting is if we are pessimistic. Waiting is if we do not think this will work. …and most importantly; Waiting is if we don't realize that this is Nigeria and Nigerians are desperate. Optimism, on the other hand, is seeing ourselves at the finish line and then looking back at how we got there. If we don't have certain plans yet, we need to let people know why and when we can come up with the plans. For example, if we can't register NYRP because there are requirements such as needing more members, then that should be our response to anyone asking questions. Otherwise, if a Nigerian shows interest in the party and asks these same questions and we don't give them concrete answers; the conclusion of an average Nigerian in their desperation will be that "WE ARE NOT SERIOUS". Yes, there should be a need for patience, but we have to tick faster than a clock. The most important thing is that we must make our policies credible and workable, and without lies or deceit. But my dears, with the hunger and desperation in our beloved country, we have to be VERY FAST, even if it means getting into the Guinness Book of World Record for the party that has come up with the fastest workable policies, so be it. If we sleep or slumber, we risk waking up to 2019 with PDP or APC again.

Fact is:
Nigerians today don't hear wait
Nigerians today don't have patience
And sadly; Nigerians today don't know tomorrow

So this I think, is why most people are a bit in a hurry. So the question is, how do we do this, taking into account the impatience of Nigerians (thanks to our failed politicians), setting things up, the tasks at hand, mapping out our policies, and the need to hit the ground running. Nigerians are desperate, and desperate times will lead to PDP OR APC in 2019 if we don't make ourselves a credible alternative. That is definitely a concern we cannot ignore.

No one should get discouraged by the lack of numbers. Real change requires a policy that can give people hope. A degree of patience will be necessary, but all will be sorted in good time. The aim is not to rush and come up with myopic unsustainable short-term goals just for the sake of getting into power. So we must deviate from the current trend of rushing and coming up with mumbo-jumbo plans and policies just like the present parties we have now. If we do the same, be become like them. If we must get this right, then Patience is vital. So don't be discouraged; Its a work in progress. Also, your ideas are welcomed.

@RATIONALTV
You started off your second unoriginal thread by saying this:

I stumbled upon this newly formed organization and decided to raise alarm to alert the world what is going on in secret. According to their website (www dot his website is unworthy of posting on this thread), RYFFRON is a an organization which simply means Rational youth for future revolution of nigeria.

Now here you are saying:
As for the website (again www dot his website is unworthy of posting on this thread) I am a web developer. I design websites. That is my job.

Yes, you are popular just like the present crop of failures we have as leaders today, and that's what this movement is about; stopping the lies and deceit of the bad eggs and failures, determined to drag this country to the ground. And no, you don't know the moderators, nor do you go out drinking beer with them as one of the topics you started about Biafra was closed by one of the moderators. No one cares if you are a Christain or not, if you lie, you are a liar PERIOD, irrespective of what religion you practice. Keep up with the lies and deceit but I can guarantee you that you are going nowhere stealing people's ideas on nairaland and I will keep coming after EVERY recreated thread you start with the idea of @ourchoice by letting other nairalanders in on your fraudulent ways.

But I won't discuss you anymore on this forum filled with positive minds of well-meaning Nigerians lipsrsealed
