Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria, who strongly rooted for President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 general election and referred to him as the messiah to revive the Nigerian economy has taken a huge swipe at him at the Peoples Democratic party(PDP) presidential candidate.

Recall that Mbaka prophesied in 2015 that Buhari was going to emerge as Nigeria’s president, he said Buhair is change, but former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is “bureau de change”. He lamented the rate at which money running into hundreds of millions exchanged hands at the party primaries whereas many Nigerians have nothing to eat.

He also queried the president for not surrounding himself with credible hands like Prof Charles Soludo, who would help him revamp the economy and also not surrounding himself with people who have the same vision with him.

There was chaos at the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), after the suspended executive secretary for the scheme, Usman Yusuf, forced his way into the head office of the scheme with the help of heavily armed security operatives.

Following a tip off that the suspected secretary would be coming to work today, the workers and staff union of the scheme, had formed a barricade at the entrance of the Abuja office, However, when Usman arrived, he ordered the security operatives with him to break the barricade formed by the workers and he forced his way inside.
His police escorts reportedly teargassed the protesting workers s they tried to prevent him from entering the office.

“They tear-gassed our men and women. They almost shot when we tried to stop them. Now he is in his office with many police officers guarding him,” Omameji Abdulrazak, the workers union chairman told Premiumtimes
Yusuf was suspended last weekend by the governing council who also set up a panel to probe allegations against him. Recall that the executive secretary was previously suspended by the Minister of Health Isaac Adewole, in July 2017 over alleged gross misconduct and fraud but was reinstated by President Muhammadu Buhari in February this year.

Premium Times has published a report alleging that the governorship candidate under People’s Democratic Part (PDP), in Kwara state, Razak Atunwa, did not participate in the mandatory NYSC scheme and that he forged the certificate he presented to the party during its primary. The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara State in the forthcoming general elections, Razak Atunwa, did not participate in Nigeria’s compulsory national youth service scheme, PREMIUM TIMES can authoritatively report today.

Instead, he procured a forged discharge certificate of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) which he submitted to the PDP to prove his eligibility for public office.

The fresh revelation about Mr Atunwa came about four months after PREMIUM TIMES exposed then finance minister, Kemi Adeosun, for engaging in similar conduct, and just a little over a month since the embattled official was forced to resign as a result of the scandal.

The Kwara politician’s conduct also came to light exactly a month after this medium reported that the Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, also dodged the compulsory service, making him ineligible for public office and employment in Nigeria.

Although the minister was later disqualified by his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) from running for governorship of his native Oyo State, President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to remove him from office.

The NYSC law requires every Nigerian who attended university or polytechnic to participate in the national youth scheme for one year after graduation, provided the person finished before age 30. Failure to serve would prohibit such individual from gainful employment in Nigeria, and making false claims about serving could attract up to 14 years in jail.

Also, anyone who graduated before 30 but deliberately declined to serve has committed a crime that could attract 12-month imprisonment, even if the person did not forge NYSC documents.

Only a person who obtained a degree after 30 or served in the military or won national honours medal would qualify for exemption certificate under the NYSC law.

Mr Atunwa, born on October 17, 1969, said he studied law at the University of East London, graduating in 1992 at age 23.

Having earned a bachelor’s degree at 23, Mr Atunwa, going by Section 2 of the NYSC Act, should have participated in the year-long national service.

But rather than present himself for national service, Mr. Atunwa stayed back in the United Kingdom, returning only in 2005 to join the cabinet of then Governor Bukola Saraki in Kwara State at the age of 36.

The embattled leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu who went missing over a year ago has been spotted in Jerusalem.

Kanu was spotted in Jerusalem on Friday praying at the wailing wall.

In a video which which has since gone viral online, the IPOB leader could be seen donning an Israeli outfit used for prayers while holding what looks like a prayer book.

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, headed by one Yerima Shettima has come up with reasons why the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, should pick a vice presidential candidate from the Eastern part of Nigeria.

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has endorsed the presidential ambition of his former Vice, Atiku Abubakar.

A tricycle rider popularly known as keke driver has gone viral after one of his passengers shared his experience while riding in his tricycle.

The social media user with the user Chena on Twitter, took to the platform to share photos of Samuela Ogundare, a keke driver, at work in Lagos.

Samuel is no ordinary keke driver. He has distinguished himself by calling himself a “corporate keke driver” and he isn’t that in name alone.

Samuel dresses in corporate attire, not minding the nature of his job, and drives with consideration for his passengers and other road users. A white woman called police on a black man who babysits for a white couple who said she was in disbelief about the incident.

David Parker and Dana Mango of suburban Atlanta told “Good Morning America” on Wednesday that an officer called them Sunday to verify that Corey Lewis, the family’s longtime friend and babysitter, had the permission of the couple to care for their children that day.

“We were at dinner, and I saw that Mr. Lewis had called,” Mango said. “I called back and a police officer answered the phone. The police officer was trying to explain that he was there with my kids and that they were OK, but he wanted to confirm that I had given permission to Mr. Lewis to be with them.”
“It truly took me several minutes to believe that it was real. I was just in a state of disbelief,” Mango said.
The saga began when Lewis was out with the family’s 6- and 10-year-old children on Sunday, and an unidentified white woman approached them in a Walmart parking lot.

A Zambian pastor has been called out after he allegedly sent nude videos and photos of himself to female church members, including married women.

The pastor, identified as Elder Charles Kalombo of Bread of Life church in Ndola, Zambia, is allegedly in the habit of going after married women in his church. He was allegedly exposed after the husband of one of the women saw the video in his wife’s phone and released it.



In the video obtained by Zambia Watch, they claim the pastor can be heard enticing a married woman identified as Bana Mary. The pastor claimed he can go for “six hours with Bana Mary” because she is too cute to be married to a poor man. The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has commenced the enlistment of Nigerian graduates and post-graduates for training into its Direct Short Service Cadets (DSSC) 2018.

NAF stated that interested persons who wish to apply must be Nigerian not less than 1.66m tall for male and not less than 1.63m tall for female.

In a statement on its official Twitter handle, the Force said applicants should be between 22 and 30 years by 30 September 2019 (22-35 for consultants).

The Nigeria Customs officials of Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘A’ intercepted a fully loaded bus carrying two big sacks containing military uniforms and boots along the Ijebu-Ode Expressway.

The white Hiace bus which belongs to Chimezie Motors Nigeria Limited with registration number JJT 905 XB, was intercepted on Wednesday.

While addressing newsmen in Lagos Thursday, the unit boss, Mohammed Aliyu said “This is national security. Though they are not much but the damage that will be done will be much, that is why we seized them.

Aliyu disclosed that his unit also seized 22 cars, including nine bulletproof cars.

He said the cars worth about N1.2 billion, were intercepted inside a bush in Idiroko axis of Ogun State while others were kept in hidden warehouses in Lagos.

Two men were allegedly caught stealing from a shrine in Anambra state were stripped and beaten before handing them over to the police.

Nothing less than nineteen people were killed in Ariri Village, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State in a fresh attack by suspected herdsmen.

Channels reported Thursday morning that the herdsmen attacked the village on Wednesday night and shot the victims while they were asleep.

According to residents of the village, security operatives are yet to arrive at the scene of the incident and the corpses of the victims are still scattered across the compounds where the attacks took place.

Recall that thirteen persons were confirmed killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen in an attack in Jol village of Riyom Local Government of Plateau State.

Limpopo cops, South-Africa have launched a manhunt for a rape suspect after a grandmother who is believed to be in her 90’s was allegedly raped.



It was reported that the elderly woman went to sleep at around 8:30 pm and at about 4:00 am, she was awoken by an unknown man who entered through a window. The alleged rapist then demanded sex and threatened to kill her if she doesn’t oblige.

After days of eleventh-hour postponements, the primaries finally opened at different ward units across the state. The aspirants field was streamlined some weeks ago, leaving the race for Mr Ambode and Jide Sanwo-Olu, a former commissioner who recently emerged the favourite over the incumbent.

Fouad Oki, a factional leader of APC in Lagos, told PREMIUM TIMES Tuesday afternoon that potential voters of Mr Ambode are being disenfranchised on the basis of their voting credentials, a development he said could compel him and other loyalists of the governor to polarise the exercise.

“Go to Alimosho now, people are not being allowed to vote because they have no electronic card,” Mr Oki said. “Our demand has been that the party’s register must be used and any member who has the registration slip should be allowed to take part in the primaries.”

As the battle of who will be the candidate for the governorship election under the platform of APC becomes more bizarre between the incumbent Governor and governorship aspirant, the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Adebule this morning abandoned Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to support Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the two-horse race to pick the ticket to represent the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 governorship election.

Adebule told newsmen at Ward A and D, in Iba Local Council Development Area of Lagos where she participated in the governorship primary of the APC, that she would endorse the party’s chosen candidate.

“The party has chosen a man and it is that man that I will support and follow,” she said.

Zulum, the former commissioner for the ministry for reconstruction, rehabilitation and resettlement, RRR, is among the 21 aspirants seeking to secure the Borno APC governorship ticket.

Popular Nigerian film promoter found dead on Monday in a hotel in Ijegun, Lagos.

The deceased by the name, Archibong Edet, from Akwa Ibom state, was found dead in the popular New World Hotel located at Prince Bus Stop in Ijegun, Lagos. It was reported that Mr. Edet had lodged with a male partner, one Fred Kolawole, who people suspected was his sexual partner as they have been known to meet frequently in the same hotel, P.M. Express reports.

Today, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state, will pick their governorship candidate for next year’s elections. Recall the Lagos governorship primary election was supposed to hold on Saturday but was postponed to Tuesday.

The two major aspirants are incumbent Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Ambode is fighting a tough battle to remain in office for another four years, as Sanwo-Olu has the backing of Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the National Chairman of the party.
