‘Heaven On My Mind’ is a movie of its kind that addresses societal contemporary issue of men that go about dating several women and its consequences. It is written and directed by actor and filmmaker, Uche Jombo and was jointly produced by Minini Empire Productions and Uche Jombo Productions.

The University of Ibadan International School has been shut down indefinitely.

It was reported that the school was shut down indefinitely this morning, Monday 19th November 2018, following the crisis rocking the school over the use of Islamic head cover popularly known as hijab by female Muslim students in the school
A release placed at the main gate of the school early Monday morning said that the school has been shut down until further notice.

The release signed by the management of the school and a copy which was obtained by DAILY POST urged parents and guardians to take note.

On the 7th month of living with them, I had just gotten back from school and was about to shower, when my aunty called me, so I ran out of the bathroom with my towel tied, and went into her room;

“Good. I called you in here because I want to bath you myself. I notice your armpits smells.

I was shocked beyond words, how cam my aunty bath me? i was still trying to understand her words when she when she put her mouth on my nipples and began to suck it. I gathered strength and pushed her away, then covered my breasts with my hands, “Aunty what are you doing? How can you be touching me this way and suck my breasts too? You are a woman and my dad’s younger sister.

I don’t understand this o. Please, I want to go back to my room” I said to her and made to walk past her, but she blocked my path and pushed me to the wall, there was no space for me to escape from, then she spoke, this is not a new thing, people do it. I started mine when I was 14 years old and it’s not bad. See, let me tell you, I am in love with you and I feel you so much, you give me sleepless nights, I want you to be mine. My baby, I will give you anything you want, just don’t push me away, or don’t you love me?”

I kept quiet for a while, trying to understand her point, but it was so hard for me. “For God’s sake you are my Aunty. We are same blood, loving me is normal just like I love you too. But we can’t do this evil things, the Bible frowns at it, please, aunty”
She turned and locked the bathroom door and threw her neck back, laughing heavily, don’t be ungrateful, I gave you everything and ready to give you more. You want to deprive me of this one thing I need from you. I could take away everything and make you miserable in this house.

Life would be a living hell for you. Is that what you want?” I was speechless; I didn’t know what to say. “Answer me, Chisom, is that what you want?” She repeated. “No Aunty” I replied.
She put down the toilet lid and sat on it, then told me to sit on her laps, I did. She held me so tight, like she was drawing strength from me. We sat like that for almost an hour, her breathing was heavy, then she turned my face towards hers and began to kiss me hungrily,

After I pulled myself away from her, she got up and walked out of the bathroom. I sat there for a while, and then I took my towel and covered myself, then stepped out of the bathroom and ran into my room. I quickly dressed up and went to the kitchen to fix lunch, shortly after, I heard her call out my name again, I ignored and pretended not to hear, she called the second time and I quietly closed the kitchen door and continued cooking.

It wasn’t long, when I felt the door to the kitchen open, and she walked in, “bia Chisom, didn’t you hear me call your name?” She asked. “No aunty, the door was closed maybe that was why I didn’t hear you, I am sorry”, she continued, “it’s okay, make sure you put your uncle’s food in the food flask, I don’t have the strength to cook for him in the night. Before I forget, when last did you see your period?”…”last month, aunty, I have not seen it this month” I replied. “It’s okay. Hope you still have enough pads?” “Yes, I do” she said okay and walked out of the kitchen.

She didn’t touch me again after that day and we both acted like it didn’t even occur. I got the opportunity to speak with my younger sister living with my other aunty in Port Harcourt, as soon as she heard my voice, she started crying, she told me how she was suffering over there, she hasn’t started school yet and she eats only once a day and sleeps at midnight to wake up by 5am to prepare my aunt’s kids for school, I was so heartbroken and so helpless, but I assured her that I would do everything possible to get her out of that house.

Though, I had no idea how I was going to accomplish it. Every day, I thought of my sister suffering, her heartbreaking voice when she was talking to me on the phone, I lost appetite and concentration in school; I became so moody that everyone around me noticed it, including my aunty and her husband. This continued, until one Saturday evening.

I was crying profusely in my room, when my aunty walked in, I didn’t notice her presence until she spoke, “Chisom, what’s wrong with you lately and why are you crying? Don’t tell me you are pregnant o” I quickly turned to face her, “no o, am not pregnant, am just worried about my younger sister, she’s suffering so much in port Harcourt and there’s nothing I can do to help her, that’s why am crying” I replied. Then she said, “Who told you there’s nothing you can do? We live in a duplex, you have this room all to yourself, why not invite her to come live here with us and be happy, instead of this, am tired of seeing you in this mood”. I couldn’t believe my ears, I was shocked beyond words, I knelt down to thank her but she told me to get up, as she turned to leave the room, I realised I had no means to invite my sister over, what do I know?

“Aunty but there’s a problem o. How do I get her over here and what am I going to tell Aunty Precious for her to let my sister go?” I asked, then she walked back into the room and sat on the bed, before replying me, “Nne, sit down, let’s talk” I did as I was told. Then she continued, “Getting your sister here and taking care of her is not a problem at all, I can help you achieve that in just two days, but that would cost you, are you ready and willing to pay the price?” She asked. I looked hard at her in confusion, “But aunty you know I don’t have money, it’s you and uncle that has been taking care of me, the only money I have is N8000 that I have saved up from my pocket money to school, where will…” she cuts me off, “Hahahahaha, you are just so innocent that’s why I love you so much. Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Timi Frank, has given Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, seven days to resign over alleged flagrant violation of the Constitution and the Public Procurement Act in the approval of N5.8billion as intervention funds for the North East in 2017.

The House of Representatives in its investigative report had indicted Osinbajo after its investigation into the fund disbursement.

Frank in a statement on Monday, called on the National Assembly to immediately commence impeachment process against the VP based on the House report and in line with its constitutional mandate to act as a check and balance on the Executive.

He said that with the revelations about Vice President’s role in this high level sleaze and the many corruption cases against top aides and appointees of President Muhammadu Buhari, “it is safe to say that the present administration is the worst so far in terms of corruption and circumvention of due process laws in the nation’s democratic history.”

He insisted that the fact that Osinbajo is a senior lawyer and Chairman of the Board of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) – now alleged to have diverted the funds – makes it mandatory for the Vice President to immediately step aside to allow for thorough criminal investigation to determine the veracity or he will open other corruption cases associated with Osinbajo. Frank also said it is obvious that Osinbajo used his brief term as the acting president to open the national coffers.

He noted that it is appalling to hear that Osinbajo – despite his public anti-corruption posturing – could be remotely mentioned in such a scam where funds meant to provide succour for hunger-ravaged Internally Displaced Persons in the North East were allegedly diverted in such brazen manner.

“As a learned gentleman, Osinbajo cannot say he did not know that it is illegal for any government official to spend funds not appropriated by the National Assembly. He should have known that it is intrinsically illegal for anybody to divert funds raised through the issuance of Euro Bond – approved by the National Assembly for specific capital projects – to fund his ‘emergency intervention.’

A Nigerian woman, Julesville Omalicha have saved a sick and homeless teenage girl after she posted photos of the girl living in a refuge site on her Facebook. Her post which went viral quickly has gotten the homeless girl medical attention.



According to her, ‘I recently started seeing this little girl, a teenager roaming the streets of Ajegunle. And i will be wondering where she came from, where her parents or guardians are? Thinking of how to help her. I stopped one day to make friends with her. I brought out 100 naira to give her and see if i can elicit any info from her. But she ran off before i got to where she was standing. Today, i saw her sleeping on a heap of refuse at New road bus stop, Bale street, Ajegunle. This place is close to St Charles Catholic church and the Local government Chairman’s family house. I took the first pic. Then went closer. She is still breathing. I think she is sick’.

Following her outburst, the girl was evacuated by the local government chairman through the help of state emergency team and she’s currently responding to treatment.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, today gave reasons why it gave up the plan to impeach Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, after their defection to the Peoples Democratic Part .

APC, National Auditor, Dr. George Moghalu, told Daily Sun that the rigid stipulations for the impeachment of the principal officers have compelled the ruling party to shelve the idea.

Moghalu pointed out that though the party desires to impeach Dogara and Saraki, the prevailing circumstance made it impossible.

Recall that the national leadership of the party had on different occasions, vowed to impeach the Senate President and the House of Representatives’ Speaker after their defection to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

A civilian drunk driver rammed into the convoy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai. It was reported that the accident happened around Jere road, Abuja -Jere – Kaduna at 6Pm 11Th November 2018.

A statement from the Army says the official staff car had an accident at Jere town on the way to Kaduna. A man who was under the influence of alcohol, veered off his lane and rammed into the staff car.

The Army Chief was not in the car. However, the ADC sustained minor injuries and has been evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

The driver of the car that rammed into the convoy of the Army chief is presently receiving medical attention at a Nigerian Army Medical facility. The Army says the case has been reported to Police and Investigation has commenced. Initial findings showed driver was under the influence of alcohol

Even after the release of three different videos showing the governor of Kano allegedly collecting bribe from unidentified contractor, the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State yesterday told the State House of Assembly that he “did not collect, has not collected and will never collect bribe from anybody” as he was recently portrayed in a series of video recordings that went viral on social media.

The governor who had been summoned to appear before a seven-man investigative committee set up by the assembly to probe allegations that he collected a $5million cash bribe from contractors failed to honour the invitation but instead sent his defence in writing.



The letter was signed and delivered to the committee by Commissioner for Information,Youth and Culture, Muhammad Garba. The governor, in the four paragraph letter, said:

The controversy surrounding the WEAC certificate of President Buhari have caused stirred among Nigerians with many questioning the qualification of the president.

The police in Benue state is currently investigating a bizzare incident that happened in Makurdi the State capital, where a woman identified as Mrs Adetsav allegedly killed her husband, their three children and then herself at their home on Vandeikya street after a heated argument.

The husband, Nicholas, was a staff of the State’s Local Government Service Commission, was said to have been having marital crisis with his wife and mother of his three children.

The police was alerted in the night by neighbors after the wife had carried out the dastard act. A statement from the police is expected later today.

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commissuon, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu has met President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff (COS) Abba Kyari.

This is coming amid the President’s WAEC certificate issues. Recall that INEC cleared 70 candidates for the presidential election of which all presented their credentials expect president Buhari who instead presented a court affidavit with the claims his credentials are with the military secretary.

The meeting was held at the COS office, and lasted for about thirty minutes.

The Kaduna State Government has reimposed a 24-hour curfew on Kaduna metropolis and environs.

The curfew extends to Kasuwan Magani, Kajuru, Kateri and Kachia.

A 24-hour curfew was imposed from Sunday but was relaxed on Thursday to between 5:00 pm to 6:00 am.

The reinstating of the curfew is due to the tension over the killing of the Adara paramount ruler, the Agom Adara, Mr. Maiwada Galadima, who was abducted last week Friday.

A statement released by the Senior Special Assistant to the Kaduna Governor, Samuel Aruwan, indicated that the curfew is effective from 11am today, Friday, 26th October 2018 and will remain in force until further notice.

He said, “this is a necessary step to help maintain peace as we mourn the death of HRH Agom Adara, who we lost in the early hours of today to the criminals who abducted him last week.

President Muhammadu Buhari paid a two day visit in Rivers State on Thursday to commission the new International Wing at the Port Harcourt airport. I. am very pleased to formally commission the new International Terminal of the Port Harcourt Airport, Omagwa today. This ceremony represents a significant landmark for International air travelers, particularly from the South-South region, and the entire Country.

2. You will recall that after opening the major airport terminals in the country in the late 70s and early 80s, not much was added to increase the passenger handling capacity of these facilities by successive administrations.

3. Following the large increase in the national population with consequent surge in air passenger traffic, the capacity of the airport terminals became woefully inadequate to cater for the increase in passenger traffic.

4. Although, palliative measures were periodically carried out, the facilities were fast giving-in to the effects of wear and tear. It therefore became necessary to take decisive action to ensure our terminals meet minimum international standards for the travelling public.

A 100-year-old grandmother allegedly rape by Argha Biswas a 20-year-old man in India.

The incident occurred inside the grandmother room at a village in Nadia district, West Bengal, eastern India.

Family members said they were alerted after hearing calls for help from the elderly woman’s room. They found the 20-year-old suspect, identified as Argha Biswas, hiding underneath the elderly woman’s bed, and he was arrested shortly afterwards.

The 100-year-old woman was taken to a hospital following the alleged incident but was discharged on Wednesday.

Speaking after the incident, the woman’s granddaughter, who wished to remain anonymous, said: ‘I heard some strange noises.

The Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, headed by Professor Ishaq Akintola, has termed the action of former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, where he fed over 150 people, including detainees and visitors two days ago as outrageous, preposterous and shameful.

It was reported on Tuesday that the former governor took his stomach infrastructure to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, office and fed detainees who in turn allegedly sang the national anthem after their stomachs had been filled.

A timber contractor identified as Aluko Ramoni, in Ondo state was reportedly struck dead by thunder on Wednesday.

According to reports, Aluko was in the forest cutting an iroko tree in Ifira Akoko area of the state with one of his colleagues when the weather became cloudy and thunderstorm started.

While going about their normal activity despite the heavy downpour, the thunder struck and he died instantly.

Many of the villagers trooped out to catch a glimpse of the remains of the man who was killed by thunder. Lawan Faro, who resides in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, has sworn to commit suicide if President Buhari fails to resign within the next 12 hours. The middle-aged man, climbed a 40-metre-tall billboard hanger and has threatened to jump down to his death if President Buhari does not resign.

Creativity gone wrong. A popular Canadian rapper, Jon James McMurray is dead. The 33 year old rapper died on Tuesday while filming a musical video.

It was reported that, McMurray, fell to his death in British Columbia while filming a video in which he was walking on the wing of a plane while rapping.

The plane reportedly landed safely and no one else was injured in the accident, which occurred in Vernon.

A statement from his manager, Ryan Desrochers, broke the news on Tuesday.

McMurray, an accomplished freeskier and stuntman, had been working on the shoot for months.

“As Jon got further out onto the wing of the plane, it caused the small Cessna to go into a downward spiral that the pilot couldn’t correct,” Desrochers’ statement said.

“Jon held onto the wing until it was too late, and by the time he let go, he didn’t have time to pull his chute. He impacted and died instantly.

“Jon was an incredibly passionate person and was always smiling. He filled everyone around him with positivity, and never spoke poorly about another person. He truly had a heart of gold.

“His passion for making music videos and performing stunts were combined, and Jon pushed music in a new direction that was uncharted territory,” it added.
