Elder Simeon Babani Seidu Abuh the widower of the slain Kogi PDP women leader, Mrs. cheju Abuh has narrated the unfortunate event that led to the gruesome murder of his wife. by thugs loyal to the All Progressives Congress, APC after the November 16th Kogi governorship election.



Recall that late Abuh was burnt alive on Monday by thugs after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Governor Yahaya Bello winner of the election.



According to Elder Abuh, on the day of election, one APC supporter Ocholi Edicha in the company of other boys had allegedly threatened to deal with his younger brother, Gowon Abuh, who is a strong supporter of the PDP.

Nigerian Police Officer who was allegedly breaks the head of bus driver while demanding for bribe unknown to him that the bus driver was a soldier.

The injured soldier then held down the police officer and called his colleagues.

Governor, Seriake Dickson, of Bayelsa State, has said leaders of the All Progressives Congress are using the image of former President Goodluck Jonathan to give legitimacy to the alleged electoral fraud the party committed during the just-concluded governorship election in the state.

Governor Dickson, who stated this during a press conference in Yenagoa on Tuesday, said the move was a strategy designed by the APC leaders to justify the irregularities and the takeover of Bayelsa “by force.”

Some APC leaders, including the governor-elect, David Lyon; Governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru; Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu; and the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipreye Sylva, had visited Jonathan after the APC defeated the PDP in the Bayelsa governorship election.

One, Azeez Ogunsola, a businessman has pleaded with a Customary Court in Ile-Tuntun, Ibadan to dissolve his 20-year-old union with his wife, Atinuke, whom he called “a serial thief”.

The Senate has approved the N10bn loan refund for Kogi State despite stiff resistance from the opposition senators on Wednesday.

No sooner had the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Loans, Senator Clifford Ordia, laid the report of his panel on the issue at plenary than the Senate President called for the debate on it immediately.

Attempts by the Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, to stop the process because it was not indicated in the order paper, was frustrated by Lawan, who insisted that the arrangement was in order.

Ordia, who read the report of his committee said necessary findings conducted by his panel showed that due process was followed by the Kogi State government in executing Federal Government projects.



He also said the Federal Government agencies in charge of the loan refund had approved the payment.

Senator Jibrin Barau, who spoke immediately after the presentation of the bill, asked his colleagues to approve it.

It have been confirmed that a fuel tanker exploded in the early hours of today October 11, at Pipeline Road, Gate Bus Stop along Ayobo Road in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos.

A 13-year-old JSS3 girl has died after being beaten by her step sister for bed-wetting.

The victim by the name, Precious Omenka,13, was staying with her older half-sister Nneka and Nneka's mother Seki Eko in Lekki, Lagos when she was brutally beaten, eventually leading to her death, their father said.


Mr. Emeka Omenka, the father of the deceased, said he had Nneka out of wedlock with Seki Eko. He later got married and his wife Ifeoma raised Nneka as her own as she found it hard conceiving her first child.

Mr Emeka Omenka said his older daughter Nneka asked that her younger sister Precious pays her a visit. Precious went to Nneka’s house in Ikota, Lekki on October 12, but was returned on October 16 looking weak with complaints of body pains. She informed her parents that she had been beaten by Nneka and her mother Seki Eko for wetting the bed.

8 suspected members of Boko Haram were arrested by the Nigerian Army after a planned attack at University in Lagos state was foiled two weeks ago.



General Officer Commanding (GOC), 81 Division Maj.-Gen. Olu Irefin who confirmed the arrest said the suspects who admitted having ties to Boko Haram have been transferred to the Army Headquarters in Abuja for further investigation.

Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, has given an update on why the operation ‘show your identity’ proposed by the Nigerian Army must commence despite public concerns.

He said the operation is targeted at identifying fleeing Boko Haram members and other criminals.

Buratai, in his statement o Thursday stated that while facing a panel of the house committee on army, headed by Abdulrazak Namdas (APC, Adamawa).

The House of Representatives had called on President Muhammadu Buhari to order the military to stop the planned Operation Positive Identification (OPI) by the military.

The decision followed a motion of Urgent Public Importance moved by the minority leader, Ndudi Elumelu, at the plenary on Tuesday.

The Nigerian military had planned a nationwide operation to demand identity cards from citizens across the country.

‘Operation Positive Identification’ would see soldiers accosting citizens on the streets or highways and asking them to produce means of identification on the spot.

Soldiers had been taking similar measures to separate citizens from terrorists in the Boko Haram-ravaged northeastern part of Nigeria.
