I graduated in 2016.. went for nysc 2017 and finished nysc 2018.. I had a 2.2 Cgpa 3.25.. studied finance.. and want to do MBA or masters in a related management Field..

so I want to ask.. most Canada schools require 2.1 for masters program...so am planning to put in for a certificate degree course instead... how good is a certificate degree course?

Lol.... every country has it own visa problem, Lithuania don't have embassy or submitting center in Nigeria, your school in Lithuania will send your informations to the embassy you choose, so you have to get a visa first to South Africa, Egypt or Turkey first for interview and getting a visa these days to these countries is not easy. Wish you success

@mcobex (my oga), i believe she's mixing everything up. The school cannot refuse to refund her money since her visa was refused. She will only lose a little amount categorized as administrative charges. She should notify the school with the letter from the embassy as proof. Beside, i do not think any school in Canada has a policy to withhold applicants money when visa is refused. In most cases the amount not refundable is usually the seat/acceptance deposit when the applicant receives TRV but decides to attend another school. So even if they say they want to withhold the seat deposit which is $2000, they still have to refund the $3000. They will refund her money but it might take between 3 to 7 weeks.

Don’t listen to that guy. Payment of school fees in no form or shape raises any suspicion. When did he sit down to start taking the statistics he purportedly is passing as facts? Truth be spoken, many have actually improved their chances of getting a visa by prepaying their one semester or one year’s tuition. Many people delayed by CIC for not demonstrating financial ability, go ahead and pay their fees as recipy for overcoming such objection. It almost always works in defeating a prior finding by the VO of a lack of financial ability to pay for one’s education in Canada. Paying one’s fees also works quite well if you are been sponsored by a third party.

I personally don’t see the correlation between paying one’s fees and why it will raise suspicion in heart of a VO leading to the finding of lack of genuiness of one’s study. The correlation at best is tenuous. If someone is cited for not been a genuine student, it most likely has to do with study gaps and Issues of not proving strong ties that would compel one’s return to country of origin. The genuiness of one’s study is not questioned simply because one paid their fees.

That said, if you have been refused, I will advice you refire. Request for a refund of your fees only when you feel you have done your very best and visa was not forthcoming.
