Is it not the same judiciary that's like a rubber stamp?

The judiciary that sacked Dino Melaye with the nonsense insistence that the results were collated in Lokoja instead of Kabba. Pray tell me where the DSP Omo-agege's result was collated?

Recreation and leisure services
One area people spend billions on is recreation. Everyone wants to be happy. One way to be happy is to refresh self or make oneself feel better.
14.  Gym centre
People pay heavily to go to the gym.
This is primarily due to two things:
i.                The cost of acquiring the gym gears.
ii.               The discipline one gets from going to the gym.
If you can manage a gym and make it profitable, you should go for this. Although the start-up cost is on the high side, it can be rewarding when the alert keeps coming in from gym lovers.
15.  Sports coaching
Sports is big business. From Cristiano Ronaldo to Lionel Messi in Football, to Lebron James and Shaquille O’Neil in Basketball, sports can make one a fortune.
Becoming a coach can be where you can make a big buck. The day I heard someone paid almost a million naira to get trial in one European country, my head swelled. The worst part is the country’s football is not that developed.
Now imagine you charge each student 10k per month and you have about 20 students, that will not be huge at first but as time goes on, it’ll grow to become something meaningful.
16.  Massaging
More people are getting concerned about their body especially their spine health and their bones. One way to reduce the stress without going the medication route is to go for a massage.
Massaging helps to reduce stress, it can also help you reduce your financial stress. Starting a business that does massage will make you a windfall of money. You can take it a step further by offering home services.
When you do home services, that’s killing two animals with one stone. It means you might not need to start with a place, and your home services will give your customers an experience they might not have elsewhere.
17.  Beauty coach
Raise your hands if you don’t want to be more physically appealing than you are now. Except one is not true to herself or having medical issues, everyone wants to look beautiful and handsome.
However, not everyone can do beautify themselves on their own. They need someone that’ll make the process easier for them. Enter beauty coach.
A beauty coach helps the client select the best skin products, hairstyle or almost anything related to beauty for the client. Depending on the agreement beforehand, the client will pay the coach an amount of money.
Starting this business is cool. What you just need is to brand yourself. Choose a name that sticks and is cool, then you can go look for clients.
18.  Kid’s recreation centre
Creating a space where kids will have fun is a great business idea that’s not utilised in this region of the world. A kid recreation centre is an idea many parents will like especially those who will like the kid to be somewhere where the bickering will be minimal.
But that puts extra stress on you as you will need a competent staff that will make sure everything goes well with best practice.
One final word and it is good news! The cost of starting this business is small if you bootstrap. Bootstrap here does not mean you should use substandard materials.
19.  Yoga
The yoga bug has cut up with Nigerians that you will find yoga classes in nearly every city in the country.
One thing though, with the evangelising of yoga, there aren’t enough yoga classes. Even if there is, starting one yourself wouldn’t hurt.
But before you start a yoga school, make sure you understand the tenets of yoga and there might be a need for you to get certifications. Look up the requirements before starting.
20.  Pet grooming
If like me you like pets and would not mind them wriggling on you, then you might consider grooming pets as a business.
Pet maintenance is big business. The other day, I was surprised when I saw someone posted about selling a dog. The comments that followed were simply amazing. In under 10 minutes, the dog was sold already.
I’ll advise you to forget any stereotype and see if you can make a business out of this idea.
21.  Picnic services
Some years back, our department wanted to do a picnic. Nearly everyone had agreed on the amount each person will pay so people started paying. But there was a problem, nobody was seeing the preparation, so people began to ask for their money back.
Despite the persuasion, the collector tried, no one listened to him. If I’m to go back to that time, I’ll look for a picnic service to handle the picnic.
I might even go the extra mile to form a picnic company.
You might not know how lucrative this service is until you ask some lovebirds and they tell you that they wished they could have a getaway where food drinks and a little tete a tete. It is then you’ll know what they want exactly is a picnic.
Due to the nature of what you will be organising, you might need to look at the legality of this business.

22.  Mini-tourist company
Do you live in a city that has a great history?
You can turn that into a cash cow by running a mini-tourist company. Make people visit historical sites that are open to the public and charge them a fee for taking them around.
You can get a client from running adverts on Facebook or Twitter. You might go the organic way to get customers but that will take a long time. The best way is to get running.
23.  Hiking services
Nigeria has a lot of peaks that are entertaining to climb.
One of my friends used to invite his friends on Saturdays to go for hikes around the Odi hills in Enugu. For someone like me, I began to think of how I could make money from rendezvous like that.
Like the way to get customers from the mini-tourism, it’s also similar to get customers for your hiking services easily.
24.  Bar services
In 2016, Nigeria spent more than 200b on alcohol consumption. Even regions with a conservative stance on alcohol spent over two billion naira on alcohol.
What this should tell you is that bar services is a lucrative business pumping millions annually.
It’s easy to get started with bar services in Nigeria.
25.  Sports league
Similar to sports coaching but you will not coach anyone. What you do in this case is create a league of amateur sports clubs in your city, say football or basketball. You might want to check your state rule’s on this.
Each team that will participate in the league will pay a certain amount to be accepted in. While it’s great to be reasonable with the fees, you should make sure that the fees cover the operating cost of the league.
26.  Mini-park
You don’t need to create a park on the magnitude of Freedom Park to make people enjoy themselves.
On a small plot of land, you can create a park, minimising space and making money from it.
If you have land already, it’s great but if you don’t have you might want to lease or buy. But as every business are, you have to calculate before jumping into it.
27.  Comedy club
AY is one of the richest and influential young men in Nigeria. You might not attain the success of AY but you can start a comedy club that will make you money. Who knows? You might even become more successful than AY.
You get a space that will host the comedy club.
Have a schedule of when the comedy would hold. It can be daily, weekly or monthly. Try not to make it longer than a month.
Invite comedians that will come for the event.
You might also consider selling other services while the comedy is going on.
28.  Boat excursion services
Although Nigeria does not have a matured water transport system, you can get into boat excursion as a service. This might even disrupt intercity transportation as cities like Lagos, Port Harcourt, Warri and the likes are connected with water.
Since this idea is novel, you might want to be comfortable before starting this business as the cost of a nice boat that can be used for excursion runs into millions.
Technical Skills
Can you fix things? If you do, you can start a business repairing items that you will, in turn, get paid for. Besides, some manufacturers started with repairing devices. Henry Ford is an example. You should also not forget our Innocent Chukwuma, the founder of Innoson Motors.
29.  Computer technician
As the name implies, you get paid for repairing computers.
Computer repair goes beyond fixing hardware. It also involves being able to tackle software issues.
30.  Phone technician
If you can repair phones, you can make money from fixing them.
Getting clients is not hard. People buy phones every day. Thankfully, these days phones have become smarter that you’ll not be relegated to hardware alone.
31.  Electrical appliances technician
Home appliances are becoming smarter these days and becoming expensive. Imagine someone who bought a washing machine for 300k, he might not want to throw it away when it has a little problem.
Since a warranty lasts for a year or two, you will find someone who wants to fix his/her appliances instead of packing it up.
However, make sure you have knowledge of the machine you are repairing so as not to get into trouble.
32.  Car technician
Until the day cars begin to repair themselves, we would still need mechanics or repairers to fix cars. If you have knowledge of cars systems, you might want to dive into this.
A note. Because you’re repairing cars doesn’t mean you should dress like a lunatic.
Get good PPE.
Automate some processes. If possible get an app where customers can book their cars beforehand.
Make sure the environment is neat.
33.  Motorbike technician
One of the biggest things that happened recently was when a bike hailing the company’s founder suspended the company due to bad services.
What does that tell you? Motorcycles will become a serious means of transport soon in Nigeria. If it becomes successful, I’m optimistic most states that have banned motorcycle will renege the ban.
That’s an opportunity for anyone who can fix motorbikes.
As I said above in the Car repair section, prepare for a smooth working relationship with your client.
34.  HVAC technician
If you did engineering, you will know this easily. HVAC – heat, ventilation and air-conditioning is the complete package of refrigerator, air conditioner and even your microwave.
An HVAC technician should be able to fix your AC or fridge whenever they are faulty.
If you have that skills, you can make money from it as not only will you be fixing these items that are household items but also work on Heat, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems for large companies.
Business / 75 Business Ideas You Can Start Today by liohan: 6:26pm On Aug 19, 2019
Business Idea can come from anywhere. The following business ideas are ideas that can help you start a business today.
B2B Services
Many businesses spend a fortune to give the best services to their customers. Targeting companies with your offer can be a great way to make money.
1.     Real estate brokerage
If you already have experience working with a real estate firm or have sold properties before, you can start a real estate broker. You will be able to get a better commission from properties you sell and will be able to lay claim in court or anywhere should any problem arise.
There’s no clear cut manner to become a real estate broker in Nigeria but if you have sold properties for at least four years, you can become a broker. Check the exams you need to pass to become one.
2.     Real estate agent
In Nigeria, becoming a real estate agent is easy, you can get started in as little as a month. However, check the laws of the area you are practising from so as not to run into problems with the law.
The beauty of doing real estate is that a successful sale could land you a percentage that as Phyno calls it “the bag”.
3.     Social media management
Y’all remember that EFCC’s Twitter guy that use to manage the account in a way people love? That’s an example of a social media manager. You can start a social media management agency where you manage the social media account of a firm for a fee.
Some companies have rules that only an employee can manage their social media brand. Ensure you check it out before committing. A few social media account can be all you need to be sufficient. You can even make it an agency that you can hire individuals to manage accounts in your portfolio.
Make sure that you know the basics of Social Media Marketing and have a great personality.
4.     Search engine optimisation
For many years, many people have rambled that SEO, Search Engine Optimisation is dead. However, today has proved them wrong that Search is something that’s here to stay.
Companies pay millions to be on the front page of google. Now, this is not Ads but rather contents or anything that’ll make them be on the front page organically.
Starting an SEO agency will help you rake in profit from helping companies be on the front page of Google.
You should know about SEO. If you don’t know there are other businesses on this list that you can choose from.
5.     Video editing and production
Youtube is the second most used search engine. But youtube is not a search engine it’s a video sharing website. Facebook claims videos are the most shared contents on its website.
The reason YouTube search is raking in millions of searches per day is that videos have become the new gold.
If you have video editing skills, you can make good money from it by making clips for organisations and even editing their rough clips.
A friend recently told me that he makes at least 50k from two minutes of video. Imagine he attracts at least 20 clients a month and does these clips for them, that’s 1m a month.
6.     Audio editing and production
With the introduction of videos, many people thought audio would die, but that has not been the case. Audio is an important media source at this age. In case, you’re not aware, Google has started an Ad program targeted to creators of audio.
Your clients can range from OAPs to Podcaster or even musicians who need help with their audios.
With a free opensource program like Audacity, you can easily learn and make audio files for free.
7.     Content marketing
How many blogs are there in the world? If you say 20 million, you’re wrong. The number is much higher. Well, let’s forget about the numbers. With quality content, you can make a good income monthly from home.
As usual, take it as a business. Pitch to local or foreign businesses or blogs like a professional. Get a domain. If you can, register your agency with the CAC so that you will have legal backing and be more professional.
8.     Web design and development
If you can design with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and any backend language, then you can start a web design agency.
Depending on the number of clients you attract a month, this business can make you something worthwhile.
Since web design is complex, you might want to have a team. That’s the business part of it. Teams are important for businesses.
9.     Organisation management systems
Many organisations like schools, hospitals and even banks will need to organise their data. Although most banks will like the information of their customers to be stored inhouse, there are still some other areas they might want to manage.
The educational sector is a goldmine, as you many will not have the will to manage the data inhouse. It’ll be too expensive for most secondary school to do.
An agency devoted to managing organisation can help you make money easily.
10.  Translation
Do you know how many multinational companies are in Lagos? I wouldn’t know. But a company like Peak Milk, if I’m correct, is a Dutch company.
Except for confidential internal memos, many of these companies need translators to help them translate both verbal and written form. If you know any marketable international language, this might be your chance to step up and make money from translating.
11.  Research
There are lots of ways you can make money from research. You can make money from academic research where you help academicians, postgraduate students gather the information they can use for their theses.
There’s also business research where you help a business find information about a particular product or even them.
If you’re going to be serious about research, you should consider starting an agency. It takes the proverbial camel passing through the needle for you to be successful without an agency.
12.  Business planning
If you can help a business plan, you can make a business out of it. One of my associates does this as a business. He looks at the numbers of a business, look at what needs to be corrected and advise them on what to do.
The most times, the business would rise and they’ll call him thanking him. Some even went to the extra length of gifting money after a particular amount that’s agreed.
Take note that this requires you to have a good idea of business and numbers associated with businesses.
13.  Advertising management
If you want to start an advertising management company, you should know a lot about advertising and how it works. Today’s advertising is more complex than it was in the 80s or 90s. In fact, according to Dave Trott, billions of pounds go down the drain annually due to advert not catching on.
If you have what it takes to make adverts that fly on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or offline, you should start an advertising agency.

Career / Re: Five Ways Learning A New Language Can Help Your Career by liohan: 5:42am On Jun 16, 2019
JobNowNowNg:
Languages can divide a group of people or bring them closer to each other. For instance, if you work into a room that has language speakers different from yours, God helps you if they decide to harbour some sinister motives against you. In another vein, if someone who speaks a language you understand is to schedule a meeting with you, you will likely enjoy it.
In your career, there are areas were learning a different language will be beneficial for you.
These five reasons will help you consider your choice of learning languages for career growth.

Makes You a Strong Applicants to Multinational Companies
For companies that have branches in different countries, someone who knows a foreign language can be a good candidate to fill certain positions in foreign countries.
For instance, if you can speak German and your company needs someone who will need to travel to Germany for business purposes, the choice will narrow abruptly.

Gives You Something to Add to Your CV
You might think language is just language.
Like some recruiters say languages don't matter. Well, it does.
Adding a foreign language to your CV makes an employer take you as someone who is a go-getter. This is even more intriguing if the language does not have an affinity with you. Imagine a Nigerian speaking Spanish when he does not have anything to do with Spain.

Helps You Create More Connections
Knowing more than one language will make you appeal to more people. In platforms like LinkedIn, bilinguals and polyglots are open to more opportunities than those that don't.
During a tech conference sometimes last year, a friend of mine who speaks German walked up to a DW reporter and immediately formed a bond with him. Imagine that!

Improve Your Mental Health
In a 2009 study published in the Psychonomic Bulletin and Review, it's shown that learning a second language makes one learn better, ultimately making learning three or more languages third or more languages easier. Ellen Bialystok, a psychologist at York University in Toronto, Canada in 2011 at the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington, D.C said that learning a new language helps to weaken Alzheimer.

Can Be a Career You Build On
Learning a new language can open a new career for you.
Since the last fifty years, more countries are becoming prosperous. These countries have languages different from English. For instance, India overtook the UK as the world's fifth biggest economy. India has different languages but some of them are becoming international. Same goes with Chinese and some other Asian Languages.
Learning a new language can help you start a career as a translator or an interpreter. These jobs are growing with trends showing a 25% growth annually.

What do you think about learning a new language? Are these reasons enough or just another facade?
Nice one OP.
This is nice.

This means, God as a name or perceived entity is a receeding pocket of ignorance, the more we study to know, the smaller the ignorance shrinks smaller and smaller till it goes away completely but the question is do we read to make this ignorance go away?
