maishai: Eti........ Those that snapped zenith @ 11.60 are just watching and waiting, I know people will beg for zenith @ #23. B4 dividend announcement come next year At a PE of 2.6, Zee is still extremely undervalued. Even if the stock price doubles to N38, it would still be trading at a PE of just a little over 5, which many would argue, is still undervalued. If not for Buhari, how can a bank that made N200 billion+ NET profit, have a market cap of less than N600 billion? O wrong now. |

Mcy56: Zenith is good but it receives attention from lots of investors and money bags. They can make or mar it at any slighted thing, one of the reasons I'm not a fan of Zee.
*Edited* Zenith is being manipulated by evil forces. |

BrokerHaruna: We warned that danger looms on Nigerian banks. The poor economy is constraining them while the CBN's erratic and irrational policies are suffocating them, destroying values as fallouts. To give an idea of the extent of the crisis, Zenith bank has limited use of their debit cards to maximum $200 per month! The crisis is serious. All this one na story. FUGAZ is still strong like Olumo Rock. Banks limit use of their debit cards when there is usually a FOREX crisis, then they revert to the status quo when things stabilize, as they will. Think 2016, we've been here before. Stop mongering fear up and down. |

Mcy56: Zenith: Back to its usual 16.20 junction ......from 15.50........direction of this stock can be somehow unpredictable.......very volatile..... Closed at N15.90. Zenith really pisses me off. I never understand why it doesn't move when its mates are flying. |

Tvegas: The hustle was real in those years. I think chams was even oversubscribed as some funds were returned . What of Food concepts, Geofluid, IAA, Universal , Union bank properties and so many private placement that failed?. In short for every 1 private placement that came out good, 10 had failed.
My summation of this market is that whether you go long term or short term . Dont sleep with your 2 eyes closed. As a long term investor book profit from time to time and move those funds to other classes of investment like bonds and real estate. How does one explain Zenith selling for N11 in 2010 and still sold for N11 in 2020?. Are we growing backward?
If we follow the patterns of blue chip stocks on the NYSE Zenith should be ranging between N25 year low and N45 year high for the past 5 years. So many things on the NSE beats commonsense. Many things kn the NSE truly beat commonsense. Hiw banks like Gtbank and Zenith can be trading at a PE of 3 and 2.5 is beyond me. Worst case scenario should be PE of 6+. |

Mcy56: Boss, when Loco self was confused with TA and all the AAAs, I knew say Mr. Market has already confused chartists too.
....but I think market will still respond, even if it's for short period. If GTB and Zenith could deliver and pay good interim dividends, market might generally respond positively. It's just my opinion. Interim dividends won't change anything, I'm afraid. It all boils down to the uncertainty regarding the current FX regime and general macroeconomic factors. Foreign Investors who drive activity in the capital markets are wary of Buhari and Godwin Emefiele's Nigeria at the moment. |

webizone: Guys, the naira is still dropping. Is it wise to be invested in the NSE? I usually notice that whenever our naira is stabilizing or improving, it's usually during bullish times. The Naira drop is largely as a result of unscrupulous speculators. We have been here before in 2016. Speculators drove it up to N530 to $1. Those who panicked and bought during that time lost so much money. It's going to happen again. Don't get carried away. Emefiele has said it. The demand for dollar is fake - there has been very little commercial activity; very little travel, very little importation, etc. The whole parallel market exchange rate is unjustified. Better use your money now and buy fundamentally sound banking stocks. |
