Unless attacks took place at Night, it shouldn't be too difficult for any half way decent police force to quickly find out how it happened, track down the culprits, and help authorities put in place ways of preventing similar occurrence in future.

This will be the first time I'll hear terrorists bombing a train...the first in the history of mankind. The North is really breaking records in a very bad way. Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu seems to be their main priority; they are more dangerous than the "bandits" (terrorists) in the North. Malami, Buhari, Elrufai, all northern politicians et al have finished this country!

If Dubai was any better than Nigeria, apart from surface infrastructure gleam, there would be systems in place in Dubai that protect the employment right of individuals from any form of discrimination outside of the individual’s competence skill set. Being dismissed due to Nationality is every bit as unscientific, insidious and Human rights violating as racism and any individual thus dismissed from work would have access to the relevant legal help of challenge. But since Dubai is just another third world shit-hole (albeit porcelain lined shithole but shithole still) Nigerians dismissed on ground or nationality obviously have no recourse to judicial appeal. Nigerians would do well to also draw attention to this aspect of Dubai’s shitery instead of protecting it by focusing ire on Nigeria alone.

You can do better bruh
Grocery Stores abroad keep close monitor on black people because of the racist notions abroad that black people thief stuff from aisle or loot and run off. Nigerians are into higher level crimes and are known for high level crimes such as in business, finance, contracts, internet scams, cyber security etc not petty crimes such as stealing beans and bread from Grocery Stores (white people) or Trainers and clothes from retailers (black Americans and Caribbeans) . Nigerians are victims of suspicion in grocery stores due to general perception that blacks rob grocery stores . You're lying if you say or imply Nigerians are being singled out for suspicion in grocery stores abroad.

there was one time a grocery store owner was following me back to back in Muwaillah while his assistant was watching the camera because I was with my cross bag and I needed to buy some stuffs, I didn’t even notice until I heard kalu Kali or something like that I knew it was associated with black so then I turned and saw the dude monitoring me I asked him if there was a problem he said you people too much harami I just started yelling at the man and cursing him making him understand not all of us are crook, it was a Sudanese woman that pleaded with me and started yelling at him with Arabic, she brought out a paper and started writing stuffs I didn’t bother to know what it was but she sounded so pained me I just jejely left and went to Al madina to get my stuffs
Our people no dey try for that side no doubts but if only they can see what those aforementioned nationales are doing in that country even when a Cameroon nationale steals he claims to be Nigerian so that’s part of the problem too
You're either a lair or delusional if you think that Nigerians and not black people generally are ones closely monitored or trailed by security guards in shops in foreign nations. I guess Oprah Winfrey is Nigerian.

Blue001:
Hi Nairalanders,

Last year I lost my Job as an AfterSales Analyst at a multinational company called AlFuttaim in the Peak of the Covid scare in Dubai, UAE. This is when it all began, Paying my rent became a problem, feeding became a problem. At that time the frustration in the country was everywhere due to the lock down and lot of Nigerians joined some illegal activisties in the UAE.

Unlike other nations Known to me, the desperation of Nigerians is quite on the high side so most delved into Yahoo-Yahoo. So it was so rampant and obvious in Dubai then and even now.
The difficulty was much and the lockdown was highly enforced, not giving room for any means of making ends meet.
At that time I had to return to Nigeria, I stayed with my sister’s husband because he was alone during the lockdown hoping to return back to the UAE when the opportunity rises again.
I had to start up a POS business with a 50k support from a family member, but due to the location of the business which is a developing environment, customers traffic was very low, sometimes I made 400 naira daily as profit though the ironic factor was that the closest ATM for cash refill was 600naira daily.
So the business couldn’t thrive. I had to start an analytic firm just to be employed but honestly so many factors I can’t explain here hinders infant industries in Nigeria.
Now in Dubai, Nigerians already have bad names in the communities and employers weren’t willing to considering Nigerians. Though I kept applying to different organizations in Nigeria and in Dubai like wise.
I really never understood the Nigerian market also, when I got some interviews but was turned down as a result of under employment. Three organizations made this clear to me during the interview. So at that time I had to wonder if being qualified for a job is now a curse.
I have had Nigerian HRs contacting me via my LinkedIn portfolio but never landed me any Job.

Now the highlight of the frustration is that, I just got a Job at Dubai with AWRostamani another multinational as a Senior Data Analyst in the internal Audit department, and I am to be paid 9000aed which is like 1.4million naira. Two days ago made it three weeks the HR confirmed the Job as mine instructing that I go to their company’s platform to update my details where she will process my e-employment letter & Visa which I did immediately.
But I never heard from them, I sent mails informing them that I had already created my profile but yet to see an employment letter, yet no response. So on Tuesday (a day before yesterday) I had to call them and this is when the HR told me they are having difficulties processing my employment visa since I am a Nigerian and there is an on going ban on visa processes on Nigerians (aside Tourist Visas). I called some of my friends Nigerians and non-Nigerians living in Dubai to ask if they know any possible way I could go through to get this sorted out, they said it’s impossible because they are very much aware about the Nigeria situation in Dubai.

I dint know when tears began running down my eyes and my mum crying with me because she knows how bad I need a change.

Please Nairalanders, I am a data Analyst with over 5 years experience. Can you please help me with an opportunity or if you know a place I could find an opportunity.

So all those Nigerian nurses and doctors finding work abroad, including in Dubai , are not Nigerians ?

Why are there so many Nigerians from Nigeria in IT in the UK here?

Instead of blaming others for your problems, have you considered that perhaps your own personal flaws may be responsible for your ongoing unemployment difficulties?
PoliticsRe: How Kidnappers, Zealots & Rebels Are Making Nigeria Ungovernable - Economist UK by Litmus:
I didn’t bother reading the article after observing reactions here. Nigerians are fund of jumping the gun informed by the anticipated bang in their skulls rather than the Starter’s actual, real world, pistol fire. For instance, I doubt anyone could rationally argue that Britain would not be in a worst situation than Nigeria if Britain did not have a police force. You haven’t established a functioning police force and yet you’re all jumping to all sorts of other factors responsible for insecurities in the country.

CrimeRe: Bandits Kidnap 13 Passengers In Niger State by Litmus:
I wonder how much of these kidnappings in Nigeria is actually fund raising by groups financing pseudo jihadists conflict all over the Sahel region? If so, the same model ( i.e increased kidnapping) will be used in the East to fund the Ambezonia conflict in Cameroon. In spite of how little Nigerians seem to regard Nigeria, there is money in Nigeria -even if only relative to the rest of West Africa.

Let's not forget that Kidnappings in Cameroon was initially used to raise additional funding for Bokoharam earlier in the history of the group.

The doggedness of the Nigeria army and the resilience of the Nigerian people would be confounding foreign sponsors’ expectations of quick resolution and placing financial strain on them. And it’s just like Europeans types way of thinking to come up with the idea of making us bare the financial cost of our own dismantling.

Nigeria urgently needs to control/secure her borders. No border control, no nation.

With all due respect, you and others are confusing these sorts of video posted with Evidence of Facts. The guy in the video's words represent Claims and not evidence of Facts.

The following may help:

What is claim and evidence?

A claim is a statement about something, which could, in theory, be supported with evidence of fact. It is an assertion about the way things are, or were, or will be, or should be. ... Evidence is the concrete facts used to support a claim.

Facts vs Evidence

Facts and Evidence are two legal terms that are used with difference. They are generally understood as one and the same thing to an untrained litigant, but strictly speaking they are different.

Fact is a truth that can be proven. On the other hand evidence is something that is told by someone. It has to be accepted only on belief. There cannot be truth in all evidences. This is the main difference between facts and evidence.

Evidence is generally of two types, namely, documental evidence and factual evidence. The decision of the court is always based on documental evidence. You need to have factual evidence to disprove it.

On the main difference between facts and evidence is that evidence can be easily destroyed. This is because of the fact that evidence lacks strength and cannot be proved authentically. On the other hand a fact can be proved by all means. In fact the proven status has made the fact different from evidence.

On the other hand a fact cannot be destroyed at all for that matter. Scientific facts are all proved and hence can never be destroyed by any means. This is mainly due to the fact that fact is characterized by truth whereas evidence is characterized by falsehood.

Evidence is information helpful in forming judgment or a conclusion. Remember it is only information that can be either true or false. On the other hand a fact is a fundamental reality that has been agreed upon by a substantial strength of people.

Another important difference between facts and evidence is that facts cannot be disputed. On the other hand evidence can be disputed in the court. It all depends on the skill of the lawyer to dispute the evidence produced in the court. Fact is arrived at after investigation or experiment. Evidence begins an investigation.

Less respect for Africans.

Understanding why Africa seems the less developed continent/ area on earth.

Certainty now that if Nigeria ends, no hope for black Africa.

Less romanticised view of so-called poor people.

PoliticsHonest Taxi Driver Mocked For Returning Lost Cash by Litmus(op): 7:42pm On Oct 15, 2021
The Liberian teenage motorcycle taxi driver who found and returned money to a prominent businesswoman now says he is being mocked and threatened by those opposed to his actions.

Emmanuel Tuloe, 18, returned $50,000 (£37,000) after hearing the owner, Musu Yancy, making an appeal on radio.

Tuloe who dropped out of school in 7th grade has been cycling to earn a living.

His friends have been mocking him when his motorcycle taxi breaks down on the highway telling him he shouldn't have returned the money,

"They tell me I will never get rich in my lifetime, they say because I returned such an amount of money I will live and die poor," he told the BBC.

Tuloe picked up the money that was wrapped in a plastic bag and gave his aunt for safe keeping before hearing Ms Yancy's radio appeal.

The businesswoman rewarded the cyclist with money and other items including a mattress that he says he will give to is grandmother.

Tuloe said he was threatened while attending a celebration party at Ms Yancy's house.

"I left and returned home because in the crowd were also people who were angry with me for returning the money, they even threatened me, and so right now I need maximum protection," he told the BBC from his hometown of Gbolor Dialla on the border with Ivory Coast.

He said only a few friends appreciate and thank him for the honesty exhibited.

But he has largely managed to overcome the bullying and temptation of regretting his action.

Tuloe is urging fellow cyclists to always return lost and found items because they "don't know what the future holds".

The Liberian Anti-Corruption Commission says it is "deeply touched by the sincerity of the teenager".

It's a completely wrong mindset but I guess it makes sense for those that are business minded to think in terms of what something profits them rather than what value they offer something...

It's evident that this particular actor is on the path to becoming a folk hero but I don't think I quite like this individual. At the very least, he is an opportunist in the same vane as your typical Blogger in search of Likes, Clicks and Influencer status by any means no matter how damaging to others.

"Nigeria has Nothing for Igbos..."

What does this mean? undecided

When one gives the notion even the the slightest consideration nothing worty of endorsement returns. On the contrary, it turns out as if Nigeria ,with its large population, was made for Igbo people since Igbos are renowned traders. Nigeria has population for Igbo people which equates to the largest market in Africa.

What does Nigeria have for Isoko people?

I'd answer with the better question, what does Isoko people have Nigeria?

I guess you're one of those individuals from one of those African nations bristling with inferiority complex. My advice is that insulting Nigerians won’t improve your life nor make your ugly women less unattractive. Also, nothing wrong with looking like charcoal, embrace your god-given color and stop hating on Nigerian women for being ,on average, lighter in complexion than your women.

By continually harping on about Nigerian women skin colour, you’re acting as if fairness is some holy grail unobtainable by African people unless by artificial means and consequently you’re indirectly reinforcing stereotype that fair skin is superior.
