Guyman01:Or maybe you can't trace thire relatives because they live outside Nigeria..... |
PotatoSalad:You've not seen enough kidnapping and killing posts? ![]() Please oga Preacher post more on Europe, makes a refreshing change. In addition to drought, they have tons of murder and criminality cases of theirs.... |
Halo22:Certainly not the Americans or Europeans who are the ones that recommend this nonsense reconciliation processes to Africa Nations. In background quarters they justfy these reconciliation processes to Africans on the premise that Africans are not as other humans but closer in nature to beasts that have no enduring feelings. In other words, Africans have forgiving nature because they lack deep human feelings. We apparently don't miss out dead ones for very long. Europeans on the other hand are a higher form of humanity. They have all the deep rich sensations that may be associated with higher forms of awareness. A European feels deeply and could never accept any form of injustice for the sake of peace. Even retributional justice through the legal system isent sufficient but may only be tolerated. |
fawalej:No mind them. Just one photo ( impossible to prove if or not staged at that ) and suddenly Nigerians are dirty people that like to eat shit and bath in gutters. Let me say something, the reason the black world is keen to denigrate Nigerians, is the reason black people are doomed to fail in the end. |
There was a takeaway restaurant in Brixton London where a murder victim ( I've never understood the term Murder Victim) anyway the body was left in the kitchen for several days while the restaurant carried on as usual. I once saw a documentary about some people in the Philippines - or was it Mexico - the documentary was about some other issue but I noted that in one restaurant a woman was washing potato in the toilet bowel. The attitude of everyone was so casual that it seemed that this practice was common and unremarkable. |
TenQ:Suspend in you thoughts for now all that you've written up there. And, to allay your fears, I state nothing from the position of ignorance. My first degree was in political science and I live abroad and done my fair share of travel. Now let my ask you: why do you think that the majority of Western masses own no land? And, actually, you didn't answer my initial question, which was what was traditional Africans view of poverty and wealth ? I am attempting to instil in some young minds on Nairaland nothing less than a paradigm shift in how they think about development and their existence on this planet. |
TenQ:This may be why Buhari advices, return to the village and farm. Milk isn't by force not is car and minimum wage. These are viewable as aspect of Western systems/capitalism . Before stuff like TV, mobile phones, processed food, electricity, factory work etc that white people created become things you needed to have otherwise you're classified as poor by white created organisations like UN, what did or were pre colonial or traditional African concepts of wealth and poverty? |
Throwback:Disorganisation. Nigeria's root problem is disorganisation. Organisation can be expensive since it demands an eco system. The more exploitative people are in any system, the larger the ecosystem has to become. You cant for instance have Enforcers without Enforcers Watchers and Watchers of Enforcers Watchers i.e a root system. Perhaps weakened by the enormity in cost and organisation required to create functioning systems, relevant people in government in Nigeria simply give up and let society self-govern I.e carry on as it always has which was by relying on the goodwill and moral upbringing of the people instead of relying on organizational Checks and balances. |
IboHausaYoruba:Really? Please give examples of the worst of Europe and the Best of Nigeria and explain how the worst of Europe is better than the best of Nigeria. I'm presuming when you say "here", you're referring to Nigeria and you're in Nigeria currently. |
rusher14:Yup. ![]() |
rusher14:Well, if you're told all your life that there's no electricity in Nigeria and you begin to believe this, doubting even the evidence of your experiences (such is the pyscholgy of Suggestion), you might start to believe that the chances of being electrocuted by the local transformer is zero. RIP, may he be reborn under better circumstances.... |
blueAgent:Is he or his family in the East? |
AbaganaMiracle:Wow, you're immortal. |
Justiceleague1:Advice taken, thanks. |
Nigerians and love for shitty African nations bubbling with jealous people itching to take you down a peg or two. Lesson, if you're Nigerian, don't go to shitty African nations. Shitty African nations = virtually all of them. Visit some North Africa Nations and South Africa that's it. And maybe Botswana, kenya and Namibia thrown in. Avoid the rest of Africa, they are not yet mature places. If you're touring in Europe or America, you're not going to be attested for something like this. There are due processes. |
OkoYibo:I'm curious, why would someone being a slave offend you ? If you came across a slave, would you instinctively want to look down on them instead of rescuing him or her from bondage, at least try or even wish you could? Why would you be hostile or abusive to someone that is in forced servitude or descended from one ? And if this is your attitude, why would you be hostile to poor leadership that enslaves the people of Nigeria according to many? |
OkoYibo:You're not Nigerian. |
Nigerian "Beaten to death" bestows the Italian a backhand honour undeserved. He is a murderer. He murdered a disabled man. The consummate Italian Coward that he was who displayed the yellow-livered fighting inability of thire people during the second world war, capitulating to the allied forces on one front after another and trying the patients of thire Nazi German benefactors and rescuers ![]() |
Nigeria is gradually losing her innocence and the state must grow up in compensation. For example, you have such things as Inner Cities and Down Towns in Europe and America. You have similar in South Africa and Egypt. In Nigeria, we have ramshackle cities and one of the reasons for this is an admirable one: in Nigeria the poor, middle class and wealthy share neighbourhoods. If Nigeria is slowly evolving into the normal society where thieves hide among the poor and then rob others and businesses, then the state has to create demarcations between relatively poor areas and relatively normal and wealthy areas. These separations between communities based on income or other criteria found in developed nations are effectively as if open land where escaping thieves can theoretically be spotted fleeing in order to reach areas where they belong. |
Tonylyte:Well she did not, she did not run for Bahrain, she stuck with Nigeria, she did not die. She is world champion and world record holder. All of Nigeria know her name, we know the names of the other athlete that competed for Nigeria, from Mike Edward repping Nigeria to the disabled competitors and able ones. The passport burners are nameless and forgotten. Well, except for darling Salwa Naser. ![]() |
FCT, on the directive of the IGP, has embarked on aggressive raid of black spots and destruction of some shanties that might be hideouts for criminals in Abuja. The state Capital should go further and mandate that, shortly, no shanty towns will be allowed in the territory. Or within 5 miles of main city outskirts. Nigeria need to stop listening or fearing Western dictacts on the poor. They didn't listen to their poor. Historically, the British essentially criminalised porverty and locked up people exhibiting porverty! It is time Nigeria evolved! Brake down Shanty Towns, relate to Dilapidated structures around major cities with ZERO tolerance! One of my reservations about Peter Obi is his insistence on adopting the principal of begging and understanding trouble makers. In order words he will be a man of dialogue. I feel you cannot dialogue suscssfully with those that harm or threaten harm to Nigerians! These type of people are selfish, shortsighted, have agendas or generally not intelligent enough to dialogue with. Besides, you can't dialogue with trouble makers that hold you by the bollocus. |
Bet he was cheated. I've disliked commonwealth and - to some extent- Olympics boxing since the introduction of head-guards that deprived a boxer the opportunity of an emphatic victory and handed points scoring decisions to human judges that are fallible based on prejudices. Africans are consiquntly disadvantaged. |
Ofilli, the Olympic hope. Thought she'd win gold but the season has been long for her - as it has for Thomson - but Thomson is more experienced. Christine Mboma could have been suffering from fear of another injury. Congrats to her and team Nigeria. |
Jjmaximum:Probably grew up on indomie. Dear Mothers, don't feed your children, especially males, predominantly on indomie unless you want them becoming, misshapen, weak limbed, stunted adults. Instead, feed your children predominantly Nigeria staples such as beans, yams, garri 'n' soups, accamoo, akara, nuts 'n' fruits etc. Regarding the effects on indigenous Indomie industry of cutting it from your growing children's diet; well, effects will be mitigated by the fact that many have adopted Indomie as snack items. In addition, if you must feed your growing childre on indomie do so as part of a balanced diet. PS To those wondering if Nigeria women, as growing girls, weren't subjected to the tyranny of proteinless hydrates such as Indomie, the answer is yes but Nigeria girls are often spoilt by their mothers who feed them all day on all sorts of goodies. Thank you Litmus |
truthfulnigeria:Send scrupulous people with investigative skills to verify as many of this sort of news as possible, they will find nothing. I'm commenting from brief experiences in Nigeria. Nigerians tell tall tales. |
abobote:Gradually police will learn to fear men in military uniform and to immediately let them pass and never challenge them. This is how terrorists dressed loosely or in facsimile of military fatigues will get through police checkpoints.... If Nigeria is to defeat terrorists, no one should be above police detaining, inspecting, stopping and querying etc... |
