Valprof: Hi pals! I know this is odd . Recently , I have been experiencing the dreadest of all dreams, and it's been giving me a truck load of concern. I didn't need a prophet to tell me my spiritual life was hijacked .Thus, I settled for prayers and I'm glad I did. As usual, a girl came, merchandising her femine body b4 me- hmmm!!!.The usual thing is that I'd grab her and give her a bang ,only to wake up and have my boxers regrettably messed up, and I'll rue the rest of the day- I so much loathe the experience. Last nite was a different kettle of fish. The girl came and studiously held me to the floor. At first, say -no strenght was far from me .She strenghtened her tentacles by giving me a smack on my lips - I completely went submissive. Not long, a force, determined and inexplicable came into me and just like an electric bulb would illuminate a dark room, I regained myself and swiftly pushed away that figure.I felt victorious, elated, emancipated, unshackled and unburdened as I watched her walk away in a perceptible dismay.Halleluiah!!.I believe the devil with his accomplices has ceded their hold on me.I solicit your reactions

How do you know? Have you lived in Nigeria all your life to know those class of Nigerians don't feel safe? abi which study did you commission to come up with the above statement? If you must talk you no go talk wetin you know?
Though i do disagree sometimes with the sentiments expressed by Kobojunkie but on the issue of safety today in Nigeria, i overwhemly agree with her. To be very candid, the prevailing state of sheer hopeless insecurity has induced the worst form of FEAR. I don't know about you, but am genuinely WORRIED.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How Long Does It Take Companies To Call For Interview? by livapul86(m): 2:19pm On Apr 27, 2012
Jarus: I just moved to a new company within the industry. Tomorrow is my last day here and I will be resuming in my new company next week by God's grace.

The whole thing took up to 6 months

October 2011 - Sent in my application. I have never been a fan of newspaper job adverts. I don't like job opening where the whole of Nigeria will be invited. I believe in just getting across my CV to right places in HR and get called for interview. I don't even read Guardian. But interestingly, I was just reading Guardian(primarily for political stories) that morning when I saw teh advert. Since it doesn't cost me anything, I just sent in my CV and the one-page turenchi on why I believe I should be given this job.

November 2011 I got a call from KPMG(KPMG handled it for the firm - an oil company) that show up in our office tomorrow blabla for interview. Then a follow-up email sent.

I did the interview and for more than 4 months, I didn't get any response. I gave them a call around January and I was told they were still expecting feedback from their client.

March 2012 Got a call from KPMG again that I had been invited for secodn interview with their client and email followed. Now they revealed the company. Did the interview.

April 2012: Sealed the deal. Medical, offer etc.

May 2012 : To resume, insha Allah.

That's about 6 months. The opposite happened in my current job. The whole thing took less than 1 week.

Congratz! Keep soaring higher.

I dont blame you she should leave. Then go to the Romance section put up an add single mature mother of 3, looking for a good man. ok oooo, good luck with that in this Nigeria i'm afraid the only thing she gonna find is married men looking for fun. Well all the best to OP.
To be very SINCERE, this is the most illogical, defeatist and low self esteem statement that i have ever seen. Woman, you need a serious REOREINTATION. So you define your own self worth and sanity on the ability to answer Mrs? Though, you've made your own choice of sticking with a Man that disrespected you and i totally applaud you for that, but that is your own CHOICE. As a man, i would feel disgusted if a woman defined her sanity and self-worth as a HUMAN BEING on being tied to the apron strings of a USELESS MAN. The Op is the one suffering a tide of abuses in her marriage and her DESIRE to end it all has my ABSOLUTE SUPPORT.

Webmasters / Re: Cost Of Designing A Website With Online Payment Platform by livapul86(m): 1:07pm On Apr 25, 2012
yamakuza:

remember i told you it can cost anywhere from N5k and above?

Well, check the Wemaster created somewhere on this thread:

www.nairaland.com/916195

you will see a sample proposal there with cost elements. Just slot in your own figures/budget.

The problem i foresee with that approach is that when you are ready to engage, people here will hammer you price now that they have an idea how deep your pocket is.

It is better you ask 1 or 2 developers to mail you their bids/proposals now with cost breakdown, with the understanding that its not a sure deal.

That way when you meet your investors, the figures you submit will be more realistic.
Nice and informed perspective to it. When i get the all clear from my backers, i would utilise your wise counsel and seek out the credible developers.

Thanks!

Slyr0x: ^^^ Make sure you break the amount down to them. .
Guy, is like you can read my mind. My single biggest challenge is a clear-cut breakdown. To be very sincere, i have limited knowledge of the nuances used in website development. I would appreciate if you could break it down a bit more on this thread.

Am hoping to tell them something in the range of 300k. Hopefully, they won't SCREAM.

If I use myself as a case study, I bet you will green with envy and go on exile on this forum.

Don't be too full of yourself. Real wealth goes beyond the well furnished house or classy automobiles. It is more of a 100% guaranteed furture for the next 3-5 generations even after the sole "emperior" stops 'working' well after 10years.

Can your family boast of that? If the answer is NO! Then you are justan empty vessel.

You are no where being near humble. So forget it. You are one hell of an arrogant, spoilt, silly brat who thinks the number of material things her family posses (probably through mortgage and loans) translates to real wealth or financial security.
<(prostrates on the floor)> Bro, the post above is a definite CLASSIC. Guy, am not anywhere near rich but am so impressed with your comment that am prepared to wager my 1kobo salary on buying you a drink.

Its overwhelmingly clear that Efcc has no desire prosecuting corruption cases of certain individuals. This latest scenario aptly captures the comment Debrief posited on a different thread where she described in clear terms, the daylight manipulation of Justice by those crooks at Efcc. Well am sure, Ibori must be regretting why he fled the shores of Nigeria. We ought to have a national day to celebrate Corruption in this sick nation.

How are you so sure? Hopefully in my own case, when i become a billionaire, my most sincere desire is to get married to someone from an impoverished background. Frankly, I believe extremely rich families have no business marrying between themselves.(Just my personal view).

doofanc: So far so good, i think its been pretty good.

@OP, a trader with a DAILY turnover of over 150k cannot be, in my view, deemed 'petty'. He/she should be able to invest in equipment to facilitate the cashless transactions.
Actually, its no longer 150k for individuals but 500k.

lol, no dont get offended, its just that it would cost you more than $640Milla to buy Liverpool FC......let alone run it successfully!
You do have a point. But I can always borrow to add to it. Moreover, the FSG didn't pay that much to buy LFc.
