I didn't want to comment but I think some of you guys need a thorough education on the roles of a professional player. You chatised Mikel's one touch pass game without understanding that Mikel is basically retaining possession. As long as the opponent doesn't have the ball, his team can build up play. To most of you denouncing Mikel, your idea of a good player is someone that can take the ball and dribble 10 players and score. You fail to understand that there is as much job if not greater, to a solid CDM who is responsible for breaking the attacking forays of his opponent, finding those little spaces to link with the rest of his team mates. The Stats don't lie, Mikel is credited with the most passes and interceptions than any other Chelsea player. I watched the Barca's match( 2nd leg) twice to believe the Stats I saw. Mikel made more blocks than any other Chelsea player in that match.
With regards to yesterday's match, he was Phenomenal. In all 120mins, he only made one wrong pass and that was because Ryan Betrand failed to run. Please lets learn to give credit when it is due. I totally agree with your submissions. But unfortunately, Nigeria provides its own frustrations. Most young graduates, would readily have opted for a work experience if it were readily available. When the job hunt fails to bear fruits, the frustration that sets in pushes most guys back into the universities.

Basically, the need to cap the number of graduates the Nysc scheme can absorb, its the major determinant on why they don't accept Ond grads. To the other question, three decades back, it would have been possible for Ond grads to rise in the work place with just an Ond degree. Let me use my Uncle as an example, he got into Agip with just an Ond degree and rose to become a G.M without any other accompanying degrees throughout. The only Courses he did, were some I. T related courses at IDM in Ikeja. But in present day Nigeria, the chances of that happening is practically non-existent.

On the basis of that and considering if it was any other manager, he would have long been sacked, I tend to agree with the decision of the Owners. But what I won't Tolerate is a replacement with a mediocre manager, the names that are being bandied around such as Roberto Martinez, AVB, Paul Lambert etc do not just cut it for LIVERPOOLFC.
