In Africa,when a couple is unable to conceive ,it is assumed to be the woman fault, hence a lot of couple remaining childless or access medical treatment after several years . lots of man assume that it is never their fault when there are no children in a marriage especially, if he has impregnated other women in the past .

About 15% of couples do not achieve pregnancy within one year and seek medical treatment for infertility. One
in eight couples encounter problems when attempting to conceive a first child and one in six when attempting
to conceive a subsequent child. Three percent of women remain involuntarily childless, while 6% of parous
women are not able to have as many children as they would wish . Infertility affects both men and women.

In 50% of involuntarily childless couples, a male-infertility-associated factor is found together with abnormal
semen parameters. A fertile partner may compensate for the fertility problem of the man and thus infertility
usually manifests if both partners have reduced fertility.

A man might have impregnated a woman in the past before the condition set in or might have met a very fertile woman , hence his infertility was masked .

Male fertility can be reduced as a result of following:


congenital or acquired urogenital abnormalities;

Malignancies; prostate cancer

Urogenital tract infections , STI

Increased scrotal temperature (e.g. as a consequence of varicocele

Endocrine disturbances;

Genetic abnormalities;

Immunological factors: this is a condition where your immune system sees your sperm as a foreign body hence fights against it.

Habits: smoking, excessive alcohol

occupation : work around heavy metals like oil workers, quarry, miners etc.

When a couple is unable to achieve conception in the first year of adequate sex, the first thing is for both partner to see a fertility specialist. not the woman alone,so that both partners can be examined and a solution reached.

In my years of practice as a clinical embryologist, I noticed that couple's that access fertility treatment together achieved pregnancy faster than situations where the woman was alone ,because the female partner was emotionally stable due to the partners support.

Male fertility issues can be improved especially if it is not genetic or congenital, so couples should access treatment together, because it takes 2 to get pregnant .

A very sad situation. My erection is very poor and cannot even penetrate. Too much of sweet things, over weight and lack of exercise should be responsible for my case. I would visit the teaching hospital in my case to see a urologist, but no cash at the moment. I don't even experience early morning erection (morning wood ). How are u handling urs?

Badly, I'm now in s serious relationship with a possibility of marriage mid next year. Please dont buy any of these advertised drugs on the Internet o, just waste of money. A urologist in a specialist hospital is the sure bet.

Quite informative. I wasn't the one who called u, and I'm a guy. I intend carrying both male and female bale, not interested in children's bale for now. I've paid for a shop already but still expecting money to buy bale of clothes. I just pray I get reliable seller so as not to buy dirty bad clothes. episcleritis is one of the major causes of redness in one eye,please try explain more if it comes with pain and discharge. Have u been diagnosed of cataracts ? Because plenty things can cause blur vision. Things like refractive errors, corneal issues or even high blood sugar. Drugs don't cure cataracts, it can help minimize d progression. When the cataracts is matured u will need to do cataract extraction.

Doc, do u have a rough estimate of the cost implication of removing cataract? My grand mum has being diagnosed with eye cataract on both eyes but only the left eye is mature for removal now. A private eye clinic here in Warri is billing me 150K, that is too much for me now. The General hospital here is a terrible place to go, I don't want my mama to be badly treated in the General hospital, she is even scared of going there. Can it be cheaper elsewhere? Thanks.

The newly introduced 1k = 3.2gig data on glo is fraud and a white scam. The data zapping is unequalled. When glo was selling 2gig data for 1k, there was absolutely no issue, it carries me for about 25 days and I do watch several youtube videos with it and even enough download.

But with the latest data regime of glo, they are now zapping our data. With just emails check, facebook and nairaland, I lost 1.7gig data for no reason. Glo should stop dis fraud.
