dingbang: good morning. Have you resolved the issue? No sir. Funnily, visited two branches of first bank in my area, they were of no help either. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled the app twice, instead of opening where I can either register as a new user or register device as existing user, it would just open where I'm expected to type in my 5 digit password. |

My friend (a guy) needs my advice on what business to invest in. He is a graduate but no good job for now. He has some cash which he want to use to start up a business. He wants a lucrative business he can grow in to eventually become a big player in the business someday. He is undecided on whether to start an okrika boutique of guys wears including new boxers and singlets for guys (guys stuffs generally) or to open a store where he can be a wholesaler of provision items (beverages, detergents, soaps, diapers etc). He intends to buy the provision items from big time distributors in his area, then he can now sell in wholesale or in bits to owners of kiosks in the neibourhood. Please I need suggestions from the house, so I can take to him. He has about seven hundred thousand naira to rent a shop and to buy goods. His location is Warri, Delta State. Your opinions highly count here. Thanks. |

holysina: I will say start a glass business, you can meet a supplier in lagos or anambra, you deposit 500k they supply you glasses worth of 1m or more then you retail to the guys doing glass Windows and doors, each sheet of glass you buy for 14k you make up to 10k from it, and if you get noticed you might be selling up to 15 to 20 sheets a day, as your business grows you can start importing yours from Malaysia and China or better still go into furniture and make cool cash. My brother started with just 200k six years ago and you can't believe were he is now. Wish you lock bro This is one is fantastic. Bros, is this glass business still profitable? IsaacBuchi: I see lots of business minded people in Nigeria asking such questions as "how much is a bale of used clothes in nigeria".
These people asking are said to be searching from all across the country (Nigeria) - from Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna, Jos, Onitsha, Enugu, Benin City, Akure and lots and lots and lots more.
I know these set of people are asking for various reasons, it could be that the person searching is trying to buy, or wanting to just know the price or maybe trying to learn a new business (humans are always learning). Whichever one it is, I can assure you that the "used clothes in bales" business is truly profitable. Because I have witnessed it myself (i mean: I am currently into the business myself), I have seen people live their lives and earn a huge living from it, I have seen people earning from it and helping other people to survive (such as families and friends).
. I'm here to learn. Really want to go into this business. Thanks. |

engrkunlex: I have issue with my dkconcept account, that is why i choose to use this account to post
You mentioned Onitsha Bro, thank you, 90% of onitsha boxers is produce here in aba even many at less than 180-190 per one, all this i stated here, i have being selling this boxers for more than two years with more than 1000 pieces per week, and still never meet up to demand, we dont produce the type of road side boxers, i stated what to look for in boxers in my post, am sure if you read my post well, you will have a better understanding.
For the price, its not coming down except you order in bulk, i mean 10 packs and above, with a constant chain of supply.
i hope you know that your local store dont sell boxers less than 300-500 per one? you know they wont sell Aba for you, i sell for those that have taste saa I didn't mention Onitsha. I said Warri. And those selling in Warri both in stores and those hawking source theirs from Aba based on my enquiry, they are solid as well. Thanks Chief. |

These boxers are everywhere in Warri, even the Igbo business guys hawk them at far cheaper price compare to what u are offering. It seems producers are now more and prices have fallen, the ones they sell here are quality ones. Buying from you at your price rate and selling them here would be tough. Thanks. |

sekundosekundo: Atlas 1HP, we will sell it to you at 13k. Copper coil. Bros prices depends on your location. We bought ours from one of the major dealers in my area, small shops buy their goods from him. The Atlas we bought for 16K is being sold for 17K and 18K in other shops in my areas. So consider your location. |

sekundosekundo: What type of pump did you guys buy for almost 20k, is it surface or submersible?. Pls tell me let me expose that plumber to avoid further looting . That's my business
Just tell me the name and the size of the pumping machine. I am sure the plumber must have looted you guys. Based on the plumber recommendation, we bought Atlas pumping machine, 1HP, 16k, he fixed the machine and helped us maintained some leaking tap and pipes in the compound for 3k. Total is 19K. DAB pumping machine 1HP is 25K. Original DAB 1HP made in Hungary is 32K. But the plumber said the Atlas would serve us well. We three tenants paid 4K each while our Landlord paid 7K making a total of 19K. |
Properties › Re: Landlord Or Tenants: Who Is To Fix Damaged Water Pump Machine? by LKO(m): 8:29am On Apr 04, 2018 |
rayblings: yes I pay for water every month. What you probably pay for monthly is not water bill but the money is meant to assist the Landlord to offset his electricity bills since in most cases the water pump machine is connected to the Landlord's flat. What many Landlord now do is to connect the water pump machine to all flats in the compound so every flat in the compound takes responsibility in pumping water on a weekly basis. |
Properties › Re: Landlord Or Tenants: Who Is To Fix Damaged Water Pump Machine? by LKO(m): 6:18pm On Apr 03, 2018 |
rayblings: On Sunday, 1 April 2018. A meeting was organized by the landlord of the house where I live. He mandated us (each tenants) to contribute 2,500 Naira for the repairs of the damaged machine.
I'm hell-bent on not contributing a dime because it's the responsibility of the landlord to fix anything that concerns the house. I stand to be corrected and will change my mind if I am wrong hence, the reason for seeking opinions here.
NOTE: this is not the first time we would be contributing money to fix one thing or the other, pumping machine today, tomorrow it would be transformer issue.. When your septic tank get filled tomorrow, you would also insist that the landlord should bear the cost of evacuation himself. Some tenants are troublesome. Assuming your landlord don't stay in the same compound with you, you would go drag him to come fix the water pump machine? I now see why it is fashionable these days not to share your premises with tenants. Build your small house and stay in peace, then build a house elsewhere to rent out and managed by agents to avoid tenants problem, We bought a new water pump in my compound just last month and we the three tenants paid four thousand naira each while the landlord paid a slightly higher amount, there was no quarrel. |

Ubongdemaga: I always have this desire of going into buying okrika bale ,open it and sale to interested customers but i know nothing about this business. I've done research, contact people both online on nairaland and Facebook but yet am still not convinced. Some say the best grade to buy is wilcox, some say altex, some say Scot and some say the best grade is Cream bale. though all these bales are London bales but quality, quantity and price differs and imagine all these, its bringing more confusion. Also, how can i identify these bales cos as a novice one can b smart on u by giving u another thing as against ur wish just to satisfy his pocket. Also the price hav gotten is very different; well this is not a big issue cos anyhow u feel like selling ur guds, u can do so. Finally where to buy bales from? I have some contact through nairaland and Facebook and most r lagos based like timy22, Stella, 5t and others in lagos, they r nice people who despite their tight schedule always create time to attain to messages post to them. Also some i met online hav asked me to buy from Aba because of proximity since am from Akwa Ibom, but we all knw Aba guys and their sharpness so am totally discouraged not to try anybody from Aba. I prefer going to lagos or waybilling it to Uyo. Am posting this to get serious contributors who are willing to help me and others who are in the same shoe like me. Tell me the best grade to buy to maximize profit irrespective of the price of that bale so that as a starter i may not lose my money and also how to identify bales. Thank you |
