EgunMogaji: Yeah. Sadly a couple in the SUV died while their two children survived.
http://www.tribuneonlineng.com/amp/tragic-accident-claims-three-in-ibadan-two-children-survive/
The car that the asshat was driving is actually another salvaged junk car from Texas. Was probably ill-repaired and why he Tweeted earlier in the day that the car was trying to kill him. None of his airbags deployed.
The couple would have been protected by their SUV if it was a regular front end impact. But the Mazda was in the air when it slammed into the SUV and avoided all of it's safety features. I'm quite certain the car was cut and paste from the level of destruction it underwent. Wow! talk about unlucky. May their souls rest in peace and may the children never lack. Amen. |

mitchyy: The problem with us is we just don't listen. A seller will not want to risk sending an item that hasn't been paid for. A buyer will not want to risk sending cash for an item that he/she has not seen. Stop insisting on pay on delivery or pay before delivery. They both have their downsides.
Solution: Only buy items you can easily go and physically inspect yourself or send someone to inspect for you. Only pay after you are satisfied with the condition of the item.
How can you be in Lagos and be going after a deal in the north? Keep your money and wait for offers in your vicinity.
Its just common sense. Escrow is the solution to this dilemma. A trusted third party who holds the buyers payment until s/he is satisfied with the product before payment is released to the seller. This gives the seller guarantee that they will be paid as long as they deliver and also givee the buyer peace of mind knowing that they will not lose their money if the product is substandard. winningwinner: My name is Dahe. I struggled to graduate from the university. I made first class. After that, I got a job that pays 120k per month. But there is this problem with the job. You work like the bull and hardly have time for yourself. I sometimes sleep in the office just to beat time. It's work all through from morning till night. There is this girl that I fell in love with. She was 21 then while I was 25. She kept complaining that I always keep to myself at work without a bit of care for her. The complain and accusations kept on till I decided to listen to her. I only worked for two months and had just been paid for the second month. I invited her over to my house in Abuja. She came, and that time she was on her final year. She came with so many books and by the look of things, she was prepared to stay longer. As usual, workload took over every event. At midnight, my phone rang and it was my girl. I was afraid to explain anything but I told her I was coming home right away. I did. It was hell in my home. We managed to make love and slept. The next morning, my MD called demanding my presence. My girl insisted that I call him back and ask for a break that day. I did not. Rather, I begged her and went to work. I truly loved her and wanted to propose to her before she goes back to school. But to make her feel good and belonged, I called her on phone to break the news. I proposed to her. My MD sent for me to ask that I work through the night again. I said no. He pleaded, but I refused. It was hard saying no, but I had no choice. At home my girl had turned herself into a ready made wife and I regretted not proposing to her till now. I did not go to work the next day due to the new development at home. You understand what I mean.. My MD called to vent his anger, but I was calm and my girl swore never return to me if I didn't resign from the work. I took her word and resigned. I looked for another work to no avail. She kept servicing my bank account with lots of money. Her father is rich. She called me and asked me to speak with her mom and after some weeks, the dad. They kept saying, "please take good care of our daughter, don't break her heart". My girl gratuated with a 2.1 honours and I attended her graduation ceremony where I met her parents live. After some weeks, her father called me to ask me about my plans with her daughter, I did not hide anything, and he told me to act fast. A month later, I called him to inform him of my plans to marry his daughter the coming Christmas, but only that money was the big issue. He told me to go on with my plans that he will take care of everything. I jumped at it and we wedded. He took care of everything starting from invitation card to reception. He refurnished my house in Abuja and transferred three years rent sum to my landlord's account. He paid in advance. Our first child came, still I and my wife are jobless. My In-law takes care of us. I wanted to be in charge of my home but the man kept interfering, making the daughter to take a contrary decision on crucial matters. My wife no longer takes my advice, what do I do? I need your candid advice on this matter. Please help me! MY QUESTION: Will you as a father leave your home to meddle on your daughter's own home? Why won't you allow her to build her home with her husband? If I'm paying, I'm damn well calling all the shots. |

The mistake is allowing high profile accused freedom to health facilities of their choice is the issue.
It is high time we upgrade our prison hospitals such that they don't have any excuse. Even the president's health facility is in shambles (recall that there is no paracetamol, which occasions his frequent travels) not to talk of the health facilities for, we the people. It is the health facility in prisons that is your major concern. aribisala0: It is not as simple as that. The chocolate market is in the EU and the US and the value added sector is dominated by multinationals like Nestle and Kraft which owns Cadbury. They dominate the market with established brands and market power. Mars ,Snickers,KitKat etc arerecognizable brands that have been around for generations. We could try China but even they would rather add value themselves
The reality is non-EU or non-US businesses stand no chance of entering those market without those countries/blocs demanding access to our markets and throwing up hurdles.
Besides who has the markket power? Chocolate making is easy but having dominant brands is not easy. It is not for small players but I believe a Dangote can succeed and even has the capital to acquire existing players What if we start small, local production and consumption. Cheap cocoa/chocolate drinks for West Africa for starters and a little bit of chocolate which increases as demand for it increases. We currently import unknown chocolate brands from God knows where. I see them everywhere, no English on them. Mainly Arabic and some French. One of them is called Roxy or Roxxy, if I remember correctly, 50 bucks a bar. I believe we can do better than that until we attain KitKat or Bounty status. |

It is such a pity that after so many years we are still content to export cocoa for peanuts and still make noise about it, when we could be exporting chocolate and cocoa drinks and make mega bucks but 'whosai'? Who cares about chocolate when we have 'oyel' money.
The technology for converting cocoa to chocolate is out there. All we need is one governor from the Southwest that has 'shikini' sense to invest in a chocolate factory and we are all set to make mega millions. But, they'll all rather line up every second Wednesday at the FEC to share national cake. Such a pity. |

autojosh: The construction of Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited (DPAN) is set to kick off. This has been made known by the invite tendered by the Dangote Group to the public for the construction of Dangote Peugeot Automobile Assembly plant.
The plant will be located at Dutse, along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway, Kaduna, about 25 kilometers away from the present location of PAN Limited assembly plant in Kakuri industrial zone of Kaduna State. The Dangote Group is not alone in this feat. It will be a joint venture between Dangote Industries Limited, Kaduna State government and Peugeot of France (PSA Groupe).
The scope of work for plant when fully completed will comprise of an assembly plant, the administrative block, external works and services/landscaping (including testing tracks, drivers and parking, external services and ancillary buildings that will include power generating house and a gate house.

Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun If this is going to be just an assembly plant then it is very useless. Every last nut should be manufactured in Nigeria if they have any sense. Duplicating the previous arrangement where parts are shipped in and put together will be the same as importing cars. India had more sense than we did years ago that is why they are where they are now with respect to automobiles. This is a second chance and we must be really cursed if we repeat the same mistakes. |

HigherEd: And I can attest that in January of 2011 Winners Chapel paid 1.5 Billion naira in Tithe to RCCG for the month. Assuming the size of the January Tithe was not a surge due to Shiloh sacrifice. That puts Winners Tithe to RCCG at 1.5 billion x 12months = 18 billion. 18 billion x 10 = 180billion naira annual income. If this is a true reflection of the financial state of Winners Chapel. It means winners chapel is wealthier than Ekiti, Ebonyi and Yobe put together and even wealthier than all south western state except Lagos(only IGR).
It is not unusual though for this kind money to be in one church, the catholic church is wealthier than the top 3 corporations in the world combined with an annual expenditure of $174Billion. With this amount, Winners has no excuse for the poor way Nigeria is being run. That money could be used to change the country, one LGA at a time. Install God-fearing leaders and see the nation prosper. |
