ddippset: i must confess it's been a torrid time against bayern munich. they are the best in the world. we need to try and bounce back. didnt watch the game but at a point i flipped the channel and caught a glimpse of mascerano @ centre back and i was like are we for real? still playing masch @ cb, with the transfer window open for like forever? we should be the most unserious club ever.
Messi was the only regular Barca starter on the night. Forget that match; it was a friendly.

I really don't know what the noise is about as we all know the "deportees" will be on the next wooden truck back to Lagos within a few days. It is not like their passports have been stamped and they will be turned back at the Lagos gateway. This is nothing but a direct message to other state governors: "Develop your states". Simple.

freecocoa: Please educate me on the legality of his actions.

I didn't know the part of the constitution that says any Nigerian is free anywhere in Nigeria has a clause to it.

I'm waiting.
Eh, see this one. Why do you think the Nigeria Police can pick you up and lock you up for "wandering" if you do have freedom of movement? Go ask them first, then if they can't answer you satisfactorily, come back again to ask me.

freecocoa: We can all clearly see that there's nothing like unity in this country. Its really appalling that a supposed learned governor would shamelessly violate the Nigerian constitution and human right.

Shame to Fashola, useless bigot.
And you actually think that Fashola being a lawyer would be dumb enough not to check the legality of his actions before carrying them out? Why do you think nobody has gone to bring in public defenders to file class action lawsuit against Lagos State?

Politics › Re: Abacha's Daughter Lash-Out At Wole Soyinka On Twitter by logica(m):
GenBuhari: Abacha took over from Shonekan in Nov 1993 after he resigned as president following a court ruling stating that his interim govt was invalid.

Shonekan resigned, he was not overthrown he later served in several committees set up by Abacha's regime including 1995 draft consititution and Vision 2010.
LMAO. Resigned indeed. So after he resigned, our patriotic man felt he had to take over for the sake of national security right? And he held on till his death in 1998 while trying to transit into a civilian president. Or did the court ruling also recommend Abacha to take over?
Politics › Re: Abacha's Daughter Lash-Out At Wole Soyinka On Twitter by logica(m): 8:28am On Jul 22, 2013
GenBuhari: It is propaganda.

The West love to praise our worst leaders and discredit our best leaders.

Has the west ever criticised Looter IBB, Thief Obasanjo or Thief Abdulsalami Abuabakar, or even Clueless GEJ?

But they have not failed to criticise the disciplined Buhari and the patriotic Abacha (who both declined their ruinous IMF loans)

shine your eyes abeg!

Besides have ever thought about how the UN got its data for the stolen asset recovery report?
was it from God? - It was from the dishonest kleptomaniac that is Thief Obasanjo.

I have provided evidence to show how Nigerians have been deceived to believe the so called returned loot belonged to Abacha, but in fact there is no trace of the returned loot till today.
Abeg leave Abacha alone!
LOL! I accurately preempted your response.

But there is one very important question about Abacha that you need to answer: what was the reasoning behind the coup of 1994 that toppled Shonekan and made him "Head of State"? Did anybody ask for him to become our "president"? And what was behind his move to transit into a civilian "president"? Was the patriotic zeal to "serve" Nigeria so strong or what?
GenBuhari, Do you care to explain why the following report is false: according to data released by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and the World Bank, under a new initiative called the Stolen Asset Recovery in 2007, $1.5billion being money stolen and stashed away by the late military ruler, General Sani Abacha, was recovered and returned to Nigeria?

A Source
*sarcasm* Ha! That is propaganda from the West! The CIA hated Abacha and made it all up; in collaboration with Obasanjo.

Politics › Re: Obasanjo Was A Clueless War Commander —gen Alabi-isama by logica(m): 5:36pm On Jul 21, 2013
Katsumoto: Let me explain North Vietnam strategy to you. North Vietnam had approximately 500,000 combatants (including Chinese, North Korea, and USSR) while South Vietnam had almost 2 million combatants (including US, Australia, Thailand, New Zealand, Laos, etc). When the war ended in 1975, North Vietnam had lost over 1 million while South Vietnam lost approximately 300,000. These figures do not include civilians. At the start of the war, Ho chi Minh realised that the US public had little appetite for the war with all the anti-war demonstrations and movement. His strategy was simple - don't surrender, send as many US soldiers home in body bags or seriously maimed/wounded.

This strategy meant that many more of his own (North Vietnam) soldiers would die. Some of the battle formations deployed by North Vietnam had no purpose order than to kill American soldiers. With all the hoopla about US deaths in Afghanistan, they have lost less than 3000 lives while the US lost over 60000 lives in Vietnam and over 300,000 wounded. With more bodies arriving, the US congress passed the Case-Church Amendment in 1973 prohibiting US military presence in Vietnam. Saigon fell two years later resulting in the unification of North and South Vietnam.
One phrase is all you need: war of attrition.

I cannot believe he bothered to even offer a defense. He should have done it the gangster way and just face his child bride and fashie everybody else.

But wait o, in this defense, he is talking about "I live in a city...". If I remember correctly, he "imported" his child bride from Egypt not so? So what does "I live in a city..." have to do with him?

Secondly, with his defense, he has indicted The Sharia System. If the system cannot protect under-aged girls, of what use is it?
