dayokanu: You know fuel bought is not returnable, and he might even get embarrased for trying to play a fast one.LMAO. That is why you need your ATM Card handy. Ol boy, yes you can. That is why a male or female, you need to know who you are marrying. Have you not heard of dudes that marry ghetto chicks and come back from work one day, and all their stuff don disfarahan? E go do you like film trick. When they call the police, those ones will come and tell you that it is a domestic issue and they cannot get involved. |
riyageh: Please what law states your spouse cannot steal from you? Please go read the statutes. You think everybody here speaks out of ignorance? This is experience speaking. |
dayokanu: For those justifying it, If the husband leaves home goes to buy fuel and checks his wallet to see the money isnt complete.Lol. Dayo, it is an inconvenience, but it is not stealing. According to the law, you cannot steal from your spouse. What does that tell you? I don't know what it tells you, but what it tells me is, I should be very careful who I make my wife. |
tayoccu: Agreed, but the nigerian version is corrupt, going by the cambridge analogy, is it every year the emminent personality will have @ least 20 candidates on his list?Lol. Dude, I clearly stated that it could be abused. But the very concept of providing the privilege cannot be faulted. It is like blaming automobiles for accidents; and not the drivers. The corruption you speak of is simply the "Nigerian factor". |
tayoccu: @ logicaCall it spade or shovel, it changes diddly squat. I have pointed out this privilege may be abused, but it is a privilege all the same. Imagine back in the late 1600's; do you think Cambridge would reject a list of candidates presented by Isaac Newton? That is the privilege I speak of. Of course it is none of the university's business if ALL those candidates end up flunking out. But trusting the eminence and character of a person in the stature of Sir Isaac Newton, they expect better. Hopefully this analogy clears things up for you. |
I have to break this to you: unfortunately, your spouse cannot steal from you. That IS the law. |
tayoccu: A privilege? It IS a privilege. And it is an age old privilege pertaining to ALL universities. Go read more on how universities work (not to take you back too long, start with Cambridge from the Middle Ages). Capisce? |
tayoccu: The fact that they got in thru the back door is proof that there is corruption in OAU.Dude, I have explained too many times. Eminent posts of universities have privileges; and one of them is to put forward their own candidates. This is not an impropriety but a privilege (that may be abused). |
jackbauersballs: You beat around the bush so much...going round in circles....and contradicting yourself...And here is my initial post: logica: I am sorry, but if you have ANY evidence of a similar scandal at Obafemi Awolowo University happening, please let me know. And I will personally take it up. Than you.If your mind is not being addled by a disease that causes you to unintentionally obfuscate matters, I don't know how else you came up with "academic impropriety is not possible in OAU". Something is definitely wrong with you. Now provide me with proof and let me get to work. Or go that way =>. |
Ola Johnson: OAU has a tradition of having its staff drawn from among its alumni. No alumni, knowing how they were made to read without any option, would cut corners for their students when they becomes lecturers. While here, I saw grades like 39 and half and 69.That exactly is my worry; allowing graduates from these other sick schools to come act as lecturer assistants at OAU. Those are the kind of people I can agree without proof will engage in "sorting". Definitely not our professors or doctors (OAU bred). I mean, with those guys, you have a better chance to get a score upgrade by begging than offering money. |
jackbauersballs: I have nothing to prove. They said they did. You have implied and inferred that academic impropriety was not possible at OAU. The burden of proof now...is ON YOU.Are you sure you only sorted in part 2 and not through your entire stay at Covenant University? I said provide proof and don't speak of what you don't know about. It is a different matter to assume it is possible than to prove. And students claiming to sort is no proof as I have pointed out; it only makes is probable; yet not definite. When you have proof, call me up and I will take it up (which was what I stated in my very initial post you responded to). |
tayoccu: My brother OAU also has its own share of the rot, if not how school go get Ooni's admission list? That is what I have explained to the "acid man". People holding eminent positions associated with ANY university have such a privilege. Although this privilege is often abused. |
9ja4eva: True that. Too bad for them. Aize Obayan was fraud from the start so i am not surprised.Lol. Opari. So na because them dey find yes-man (woman)? ichommy: God catch her, her house dey close to mine, too much pride, no regard for her Husband, God don vindicate her Husband now, During Bishop wedding she collect phone for people snapping the couple Before program, and she don expell plenty people. What is this with her beating her husband? Na so she get power reach? ![]() |
jackbauersballs: You still refuse to answer the question.I threw it back at you; oya go fetch...Yes or No...can you prove these guys know what they are talking about... |
jackbauersballs: Dont try to wriggle out of this one sir.Lol. See this dude. Can YOU say for sure that these dudes know what they are talking about? I have seen guys that are not even in school or had been rusticated lie about mundane things just to feel among. Don't think I pay you a compliment from a position of weakness. We are not peers and I see you as nothing but a young up-and-coming bronco. |
jackbauersballs: Are you saying that you are absolutely sure, that you are absolutely certain, that the people who told me they paid lecturers to enhance their results were lying?I don't know them. And I don't know whether or not they are lying. But do not assume everything you hear is true, same applies to the subject of this very same thread. Sha I like your sense of humor. You are one of the few guys with one on this forum. |
jackbauersballs: Lol.Ha ha. How did I know you would say that? Well, I guess now you don't have other things to do, or why did you respond to my previous post in record time? Really, go find things to do and stop making an a$$ of yourself any further. You've never been to OAU yet you speak in absolutes? |
Ola Johnson: That quote makes me remember Dr Dipo Fashina (Jingo) of the Department of Philosophy, OAU, Ile-Ife, during my undergraduate days. I was in the international conference organized in his honour by the department in May.Oh yeah Jingo. Makinde was my favorite though. |
jackbauersballs: I am really embarassed that I have to break things down for you like a toddlerLol. No wonder it took you long to respond after perusing Webster's. I will apply KISS as I don't suffer f00ls gladly; if you have any evidence on OAU, present it. After all, you were quick to state that it happens in ALL Nigerian universities. |
Acidosis: Btw, do you know all Nigerian vice chancellors in public schools have slots of automatic admission for whoever they wish to admit...?Ignorance. Yes there are lists. And not just VC's. All eminent post holders have the privilege. It is not a malpractice, as it is standard. It is assumed that a person of eminence will use his discretion in ensuring candidates of the highest intellect are admitted. Although of course this privilege can be abused. |
Acidosis: sorry but JAMB is the gate way to your highly exalted oauHuh? Lol. Financial impropriety is now the same as exam fraud? I said, "similar scandal". And for JAMB, OAU will definitely find you out of you are not qualified. I remember a set in which plenty got admitted thanks to JAMB. I don't think up to 30% of them graduated eventually. |
jackbauersballs: You could have fooled me with such an illogical request born of bone idleness."Borne" you mean. Half-baked graduate apparently. If you are indeed smart, you will know that absence of evidence means you shut you mouth and speak of what you know. Assuming what applies to you applies to others is called "a fallacy of hasty generalization". |
Acidosis: I'll find out but before I do let me start with the government entrance examination called JAMB where people exchange leaked answers like pure waterI have no business with JAMB. I am still waiting on your exposé. |
jackbauersballs: Is this a joke?Does it look like one to you? I am not one given to idle talk. If you have evidence, please present it and stop painting everything with a general brush. |
jackbauersballs: You should be ashamed to be Nigerian then..,cos this is a regular occurrence in ALL Nigerian unis...I am sorry, but if you have ANY evidence of a similar scandal at Obafemi Awolowo University happening, please let me know. And I will personally take it up. Than you. |
jackbauersballs: AhahahahaahahahaI will be interested in knowing how she became a professor. |
Acidosis: My reasons for making these stuff private is personalWere you personally addressing me when you made the initial claim? Why then do you want to make a private declaration when you claimed you could make it public? What does that say about you? |
Acidosis: Drop your email.. and please come with a lawyer so I can write my will..Hot air and no substance. Nobody put a gun to your head when you went into your tirade and claimed you can publish names. You either publish them or you have nothing to talk about. |
Acidosis: Infact, I can name and publish the names of 25 lecturers & course advisers who bought their first cars from students' money (paid for "blocking) in a single school (public university) LOL!Oya name them. I am waiting... |
cleanvessel: It is like when MKO Abiola was alleged to have sunk a whole ship-load of bible into the sea.I am really interested in this story. When did it happen? Who imported the bibles? Was Abiola involved in the importation? |
