murtalaa: If the west was involved, they will not have left the choice of a successor to chance.I don't think they did. |
supereagle: he equally saved Abiola wen they were to kill him.Dude are you educated at all? He is in jail for the murder of Abiola's wife. What does that have to do with him saving Abiola? Does saving Abiola negate his guilt in the murder of his wife? What kind of logic are you possessed of? |
marvel10: if he wanted to smite every personnel and get out of the country, it would be say 15mins tops.Abi?! Sebi he's Samson abi na Kaptain Nigeria. |
Orikinla: Blah blah blah...I always suspected Abacha was the best thing since sliced bread. I just was never sure. Thanks for the confirmation. |
marvel10: The junior officers were right abeg. The seniors were too greedy and compromised and just wanted to be leaders without any idea of how they would lead.Oh, so the juniors would've made Nigeria a better place eh? After having been shown the way by their "elders"? So the juniors had not been compromised? The simple matter is, he could indeed have executed a power transition to the "new class" retiring the class of bandits who took over in 1966, but we would simply have a new class of bandits - new Babangida, new Abacha, new Dimka, new Bamaiyi, new Obasanjo, new Danjuma. Simply a new class of thieves. |
PHIPEX: The issues of First Ladies and Assistant First ladies determining the fate of Nigeria didn't really start today. Am surprised that his wife played more roles in this his "personal record" than senior Service Chiefs in the employment and service of the Country. Where then is the discipline and professionalism expected of a high ranking military officer? Probably, his wife would also have been the one to determine whether a Coup should be carried out or not, sad!Exactly. CSO discussing matters of high national security and importance with his wife. Jezuz. |
It appears some m0r0ns here have no clue what he was even arrested for in the first place. |
question: Story of how the military junta toyed and gambled with Nigerian presidency. Taking such serious decisions without any constitution or laid-down guidelinesWorst is, they are/were a set of ambitious reta7ds. |
redcliff: The revolution the boys were yearning for would have started right there.Ode. He obviously doesn't know the difference between a coup d'état and a revolution. |
Android programming is almost like programming for J2SE. The only difference are the GUI components. You can almost directly convert a J2SE application directly into an Android application. The only components you will likely need to replace are the GUI components. |
So their killing is linked to the clash going on in India between the Bodos and Muslim SETTLERS (which by the way reminds me of Jos)? |
stop all this nonsense. must you bring tribalism into everything? Every tribe in Nigeria is guilty of ritual killings.
Oh, you be Alhaji? No wonder your eyes suddenly developed cataract and you couldn't see and respond to the post I responded to. |
webmatic: hi, pls how much does it cost for developing an android application, anyone have an idea?Well, you still have not laid out what Android app you want developed. That is the only way you can get estimates. There is no uniform price for developing Android apps. |
J2ME still remains relevant with embedded systems. In phones, forget it. It's like making an argument for Applets back in 2001. The analogy being Applets actually made Java very popular, but their relevance waned, and Java moved to the back-end. |
BinghiNya: Chei see christians beheading people way of life indeedAbi? But you forgot that the person that needs the head is usually one "Alhaji". |
chloride6: i dont know if i am the only one seeing this. SSS? na their work be that?SSS has the powers of the police. They may initially have been tipped off by someone who found the bag they were holding suspicious; and thinking it was a bomb not realizing it was a human head they were carrying. |
Ironi: Nigerians have been committing similar crimes in Ghana.Ghanaians have also been known to commit this exact same crime. One still fresh in my mind happened in the late 80s or there about; and the boy was the nephew of one of the killers. He was tormented by the crime and he ended up confessing to the police (I think before the boy was killed, he asked him - his uncle - why he was doing that to him). I never quite forgot about the case. I believe they were executed. |
Oh! I thought it was only Yoruba and Igbo people that are fetish? *hiss* |
It's "Miss and Mrs" from what I see printed on their shirts. The "Mrs" might explain a few things. |
Virgins are supposed to wear white; if a woman wears brown what does that tell you? |
Black on black or red. |
lordZOUGA: I think what am trying to say is that jus becos of the fact that there are fewer IOS developer in Nigeria than android, that an IOS developer will charge you higher than an android developer... And so it is with other platforms... Android>j2me.. Mac>windowsSo you think all the developers on this website live in Nigeria? This is the Internet age; and any client who knows what he's looking for will not limit his search to Nigeria. Simply stated, an iOS developer has no leverage to charge higher than an Android developer on the same app requirement as long as they both have the same skill level and competence. |
redsun: Always top up your brake fluid. At a point in america, getting a legit driving license for nigerians was almost as easy as getting it in nigeria. Some nigerians could just be driving in america without the necessary driving skills.I have to say it's hard for the brakes of a sophisticated car like a GL to fail without giving adequate warning (such as through the indicators). So if it was indeed a brake failure, except the driver ignored the warnings, this will likely end up on Mercedes Benz lap. The other option is it was not really a brake failure; maybe somebody tried to rationalize how it happened and decided it was brake failure. But trust Americans; they will investigate this properly. |
lordZOUGA: maybe because for some platforms, their development tools are not free and requires much knowledge and a certain level of expertise to code right? Can you name a few platforms that require the expertise of NASA scientists to use? And how expensive can those platforms tools be? $10,000 and above? This is what I can tell you from my experience (using examples): If I am to develop a calculator app and a chat app, I can immediately tell that the chat app is more complex and will therefore require more man-hours, meaning I will charge more for that. It would not matter whether the app is on Android or PC (using .NET or J2SE). And it would not matter that I paid, say $200 for the .NET tools. Surely, I don't know any development tools that are that expensive that they impact the overall development cost that much. |
malele: there car brakes fail.Hmm. I thought about that too. But we may have to wait for an investigation to know the truth. When this kind of crash happens, the survivors usually either try to willfully or unintentionally cover-up (especially if it was the fault of the driver). May the dead rest in peace. But if indeed it was brake failure, I guess Mercedes Benz MIGHT just have a lot to answer (assuming the car was well maintained). |
Wallie: I guess that's why there needs to be an investigation because contrary to what most people believe, it is actually somewhat rare for a late model vehicle to burst into flames after an accident.Yes, wait for the investigation. I know what you are talking about though. I was rear-ended (in 2004) by a trailer truck on the highway; the car completely shutdown (it was a BMW X5). No power - meaning I couldn't even steer, I couldn't brake. It was scary. There was not much damage (the rear bumper took all the shock and I couldn't believe it because this was a huge trailer moving at least 30 miles/hour). In my opinion there's a design flaw; it should be able to ascertain the level of damage and not just automatically disable the engine and cut all power like a zombie. So it's possible there are more flaws in the design. |
Wallie: Where did the spark come from?A car rolling over multiple times; metal scraping against the tarmac can cause sparks. And I expect she was rolling with a full tank as most women do. |
lordZOUGA: really... You charge independent of platform?...how is the costing associated with the platform? |
It is not whether it's an Android, iPhone, Web, .NET or whatever application. It depends on the complexity of the application. How do you measure complexity? You associate it with time. The more complex, the more time is required. The developer can only give you an estimate of how many man-hours will be required. With that he can also estimate how much to charge. |
The fact that a witness saw her run multiple red lights is a pointer to just one thing: she fell asleep and nobody was awake to warn her. We all know Nigerians are very law abiding abroad. It's only at home that they break as many laws as possible. |
Most likely the driver fell asleep. And all the passengers were already asleep which would expain her running multiple red lights. That dude claiming to have been wearing a seat-belt is either lying or suffering from amnesia. He was asleep when it happened I'm sure. I don't know how he could've been ejected with a seat belt on. |
lordZOUGA: living together will serve as a stimulant to do or learn things. It will help weed out inferior quality services...So entrepreneurs will come to the hostel to recruit or what? Well, good luck on living in cramped quarters. |
