Dude, I only know one meaning of "suspect". Feel free to put a spin on 9ja versus America definitions. There is only one. Given her statement, if indeed we had a Police Force in Nigeria, I expect her to be the prime suspect. That's all.

Seun: Don't go there. I think losing her husband is bad enough; it makes no sense to add salt to injury by branding her as the killer unless you have solid evidence. As for her being the only witness; that's unlikely since they were not the only motorists on the road. As for not being hit, since the husband was their main target, it wasn't necessary for them to kill the wife - many bad people have reservations about harming women. So they may not have bothered to check her.
Do you know the meaning of "suspect"? I don't think I need to say any more.
Politics › Re: How My Husband Was Killed - Widow Of Slain ANPP Chieftain by logica(m):
Does the wife drive a Honda Civic? If she does drive one (or a similar hatchback) then this will provide more compelling reason to make her the prime suspect; considering the information that somebody driving a Honda Civic had earlier been stopped by the same killers (assuming this did happen).
Politics › Re: How My Husband Was Killed - Widow Of Slain ANPP Chieftain by logica(m): 2:52pm On Jul 01, 2012
Question is, how did the killers know which route he was taking since (I assume) that's not the route to his home? After watching plenty of murder documentaries in which the spouse planned the killing, the wife even looks more of a suspect than anybody else:

1. Mystery man who was not shot and he disappeared. Nobody but the wife had seen him (the other witness is dead).
2. After all the shooting she was not hit. Holding your breathe isn't enough to fool a trained killer especially with no visible wounds on your body.

“Otedola told me he could serve as a link to collect money from the Presidency so that the report will be watered down. Having seen him as a friend, I consistently turned down such offers politely but firmly, but when I saw his desperation after the release of the report, I decided to play along and use his case as example of those who tried to compromise us (committee members),” Lawan wrote.
ROTF. So you see somebody as a friend, and then decided to play along to expose him as corrupt? I would think a friend would say "Hey I can't do what you ask for. . .and it's better you stop because you can get in trouble". You have to be thinking with your private part (either d!cck or pu$$$y) to believe this shi!t.

@^^ Concentrate on the positive and not the usual backward negative of finding faults in others where there are none. Think positive bro.
Oh, so you have nothing to say to "Onlytruth" (what a ret@rded moniker by the way) about fault-finding? *hint*

@^^ I can't believe that you said that^. Your posts are generally very interesting. The world is about competition/WAR. Onlytruth have given you some insight about our problems/solutions. We are inherently lazy, wicked/"backward thinking"/ uncreative, unadventurous and generally inept. We are usually excited/animated by mundane issues like religion, sex, tribe, intangibles like imported motor vehicles, foreigners(oyibo/indians) and private jets( our presidential fleet is 10 jets) for a country that cannot make a bicycle and no electricity. It is sad indeed. Please don't blame Euro-Americans for our ineptitude and incapacity to do the right thing most of the times. Blackman wake up grin.
. . .and that is exactly what they want - self-loathing. If you are exposed enough, the scales will fall off your eyes.

That is a big assumption to make.

The thing is you need to make small sacrifices to begin with, invest some of your own money to begin with.

Look at the story of James Dyson and he "only" makes domestic appliances.
You think it's an assumption, but it's a fact. You cannot get big without funds that isn't only your own (except you have a millionaire or billionaire father/relative). Are you saying Dyson never got external funds?

For the mor0n, here's the longer version:

Onlytruth: So, you think all the money in "venture capitalists" hands are clean money? lol
Dude, I'm speaking English here. I am answering your question about billions of dollars in the hands of Nigerians. Who said anything about clean or dirty money? I am simply telling you, those with the billions are not the same people with innovative ideas or technical knowledge; and those billions are therefore not available as the money-miss-road will not fund your projects.
Politics › Re: Babatunde Ogunnaike. Elected Fellow Of National Academy Of Engineering by logica(m): 5:01pm On Jun 23, 2012
Onlytruth: Okay, I see you don't get the point I'm making because I did not mention the "venture capitalists".
Let me ask you a question; what are Nigerians doing with BILLIONS OF DOLLARS in PRIVATE hands?

You are right about venture capitalists, but are they GOVERNMENT?
Answer these questions and meet the truth face to face. cool
So you are saying the people with billions (stolen money mostly) are the ones with brilliant ideas? I don't understand what your point is. Will the geniuses with technical marvels point guns at the heads of bankers and money-miss-roads to get their projects funded? FYI, it mostly happens that money and brilliant ideas are not found on the same person. It usually requires meetings (sometimes by chance) to connect both.

Onlytruth: I have worked for A LOT of SMALL businesses here in the US. Let me tell you, the only support they get is in tax reliefs. The only companies that get big financial support are the big ones like Boeing or GE and Lockheed Martin (unless I'm wrong).
Yes, you are very wrong. Even Google started off from $100,000 from a venture capitalist. Then they went ahead (as they grew bigger) to raise $1,000,000 from various venture capitalists. The guys had no cash, but they had a working idea and some smart dudes bought into it. They are all rich now (including the Google kids who didn't even have $100,000 to start with).

There is no (and I mean NONE AT ALL) technology company that hopes to be big and successful that will not benefit from venture capitalists.

Onlytruth: I know that Nigeria kills companies and talents
That is all I needed to pick from your post. Invention cannot survive in isolation. Where are the venture capitalists? Do you think all the innovations in the US would have seen the light of day without financiers that believe in their commercial value? Where are our venture capitalists? Do you think I can take my idea to any bank or individual and get financing (except of course if I'm a dealer in Oil & Gas and they know the Oil Minister is my buddy)?

And as pointed out, the brain-drain is still fully in effect. Most of the best are out their slugging it out in the US trying to make names for themselves; even as they mostly remain obscure.

Onlytruth: How can we have all these engineers, yet whenever you see a major engineering work in Nigeria, they are almost always manned by foreigners?
There, you should lay the blame on the European and American owners of these companies. Has it occurred to you that the best and brightest are lured away from this country, and they mostly end up frustrated and do not usually reach their potentials abroad, while the same people luring them away are sending their own to this country as expatriates? How can we have brain-drain and simultaneously have a high count of expatriates? You answer the question and you figure out the problem.

Albert Einstein was a THEORETICIAN not an ENGINEER. But even then his theories were tested and proven using real life experiments especially by Arthur Eddington; and of course put to use in building the Atomic Bomb.
