lungwun:Where? The info I have is PAYG is scrapped with 3.0; users on PAYG are receiving notifications asking them to choose a plan. Ex Inferis:Blasphemy! How else can I conveniently execute *nix commands (have u ever tried a "ps aux" to figure which process is eating up so much resources)? |
Doyn1, While I don't know your OS version, the problem you described is a known cookie problem. There used to be a fix for that on Installer, and I suppose the fix has been moved to Cydia. I'm feeling to lazy to help you do a search, so get working on google. |
Software to upgrade from 2G to 3G? Not happening so far as the base-band processor (hardware) for 2G is different from the 3G. |
if ur resume is quite exceptional, |
MB/kbs = KB/s so doesn't this mean his speeds were 3 KB/s and 5 KB/s? |
Gee, see what I found with google. http://www.apl.jhu.edu/~hall/java/Servlet-Tutorial/Servlet-Tutorial-Session-Tracking.html http://www.novocode.com/doc/servlet-essentials/chapter2c.html If you don't get the tutorials, you have no business with programming. |
2G or 3G? |
@TxPete If she'd bothered to flip back 4 pages she would have found the answer (Cyder), and of course the download link. I wasn't gonna be bothered till you replied. |
any word on iNinja? |
If you had read and understood the things on this very thread, you wouldn't have had the problem you are griping about. |
Javascript is different from Java. Only similar in syntax. For more info, use google. |
For the guy trying to update from 1.x.x to 2.x.x, I hope you know that won't work. The update will fail and the phone will be be stuck in DFU mode with an error. It's best to restore, and not update. This means you need to back-up/sync your contacts (into Outlook for instance), and if you need to, your sms.db database file (use google to find the directory path which happens to be different for 1.x.x and 2.x.x, and then use SSH/SCP/iBrickr etc). iTunes 8 will not back-up data from 1.x.x as I've noticed. |
Who says I'm trying 2 help you? Dude get acquainted with google and get the Bleep outta here. "humility should be your watchword", one of the lamest phrases ever, go 2 some church and go preach. |
LOL. Dude get acquainted with google. |
This means the App Store is tied to that ID and the apps u have on the phone were purchased using this ID. If you mean that iTunes is automatically logging u in with that ID, then u should have a log out button. Once u log out, u will have the option of creating an account (which is on the dialog window that pops up when u click the "Sign In" button. If u don't get it, use google. |
And what is wrong with asking the person you bought it from if it wasn't stolen? Why would you want to use another person's id to access App Store, where you can potentially purchase items charged to his account? Do you honest expect any help here? Just register YOUR OWN App Store account, or is that too difficult to do? |
LOL @ replies. I've been spending more time in the Phone Section (in threads dealing with iPhones). Dammy, work is good thanks. |
Send emails with resumes to javaman21133@yahoo.com. Please don't respond if you think "Spring" is a metal coiled up such that it stretches and contracts to produce push and pull, or "Hibernate" refers to that thing bears do in winter, or "JPA" is the shortened form of the word for "tortoise" in Yoruba. Please do respond if you have solid Netbeans/Eclipse, JSF/Struts, TopLink/Hibernate/JPA, annotations. Thanks. |
Where in the world are they still selling 4G iPhones? The last time I saw a 4G iPhone was a few weeks after the first release in June 2007. The phone must be pretty old, or is a fake. |
Supposedly some dude knows a bit about fixing cracked screens. I will send his number to you once I get it from the person I know who got his fixed by the dude. Send your number to javaman21133@yahoo.com and use "iPhone cracked screen fix" as the title of the email. |
Take a trip to computer village (ikeja) and ask around. |
Note:Please don't upgrade your iphone to 2.2.1 version because there is no solution for that firmware version! This is the most interesting part of your tutorial, but it comes at the very end, by which time the original poster would have completely wasted his time. If you do know how to read, you should have known by now he's already upgraded to 2.2.1 which is the crux of the problem, and the basis of this thread. Dude, unlocking a 2G phone is different from unlocking a 3G. That's all that needs to be stated for now. |
Technically speaking, using SIM fakers/adapters like TurboSIM and SIMFreer doesn't conform with the definition of UNLOCK. |
Ex Inferis, Applying a little bit of logic, my BL could not have been upgraded to 5.9 from my 2.2.1 Custom OS update. Reason being the BB downgrade was specifically made for those who mistakenly upgraded to 2.2.1 using the official OS, and if this also upgraded the BL to 5.9, then this would make no sense as the exploit only worked on 5.8 and not 5.9. So my iPhone definitely came with a 5.9 BL (on 2.2 OS). |
@ "Genius" "From what I've seen from all posters replying, they're just giving you trial and error solution" That's what you said in your bid to get a customer. You denigrate us, and you don't expect a backlash right? Meanwhile from all indications, you don't know much about iPhone haxxing. You are just another journey-man who sees an opportunity to make some small change. In the early days of iPhone haxxing, people like you could not raise your heads, but now that it's all been simplified to the point that n00bs like you can jail-break and unlock, you come here 2 run your fingers? ADDENDUM: A tool on Cydia on the iClarified package group called DownBB makes it easier to downgrade 02.30 to 02.28 (if you are on BL 5.8 of course). |
Yeah, I subscribe more to the refurbish angle. But I also believe it's possible BB 02.30 was released right after Yellowsn0w, and just before FW 2.2.1, meaning some 2.2 could have had 02.30. |
Are you sure it wasn't fiddled with before she got it? Well then it must be one of the very first set to be sold right after Yellowsn0w was released, and they were yet to release 2.2.1. In reality 2.2.1 was the most redundant update of all (it had fixes of issues nobody knew of), and the only recognizable change was the base-band update. You know it just occurred to me that my BL was updated when I tried the custom 2.2.1 FW (which doesn't upgrade the BB but just may update the BL). I had not checked it until after I had tried the custom 2.2.1, though right now I'm on 2.2. |
Ex Inferis, The owner probably upgraded to 2.2.1 then downgraded, by which time the base-band had been updated to 02.30. Now that I remember, mine came on 2.2 not 2.1. |
Ex Inferis, My iPhone came with a 2.1 iPhone OS, but still had BL 5.9. By the way, is this "Filmware" some kinda software for watching movies? |
It took the genius 2 days to unlock an iPhone Dude, I doubt you know about the iPhone as several of the guys out on this forum, trust me. If the phone that took you 2 days to unlock (a process that takes less than 10 mins) after an update is a 2G, then you must be the dumbest "techie" in history. If it is a 3G, then you are still dumber as I have pointed out there is currently no soft unlock for a 3G on 2.2.1 except the boot-loader is version 5.8 (and very few phones are on the 5.8 boot-loader - you can hardly find any). The only hope is a hardware "unlock" using TurboSIM or SIMFreer. But if the original poster is foolish enough, he can call you and have himself swindled. |
LOL @ TxPete, It seems u also missed the post by the genius. Can u handle him pls? Thanks in advance. |
