. . . well then, it would seem you are not well acquainted with how widely MVC is used. Let's just leave it @ that. |
. . . and where in my post did u see me refer to OOP as a pattern? U used the word "fad", which applies to patterns as well as paradigms. And with the regards to companies not relying on MVC, I wonder what you think frameworks such as Struts, Ruby on Rails etc are based? You don't have to directly implement MVC (or MVC2) in your application most of the time; it's already there! |
It's actually winter, which is the right time to Hibernate in a house standing on Struts, and each strut fitted with a Spring. ![]() If you have heard about "coupling" in programming (loosely coupled, tightly coupled, etc) then you can say MVC is loose coupling in action. I usually design applications along the line of a 3-tier application based on MVC. I always make it a point that I can completely delete my View layer (which is usually a Web Application Project), without having any errors (which of course would result if there were any dependencies) in my Model layer or Controller layer. That is 100% loose-coupling. With this design, the obvious advantage is I can completely replace my view component (with, say a newer and hopefully better interface), while keeping all the application logic (controller) and data design (model). |
Exactly, after all, OOP is supposed to be another fad isn't it? *light-bulb* |
Or you go the dummy way and use an IDE (such as Eclipse). In Eclipse you can create any archive (JAR, WAR, EAR) by exporting the project. Eclipse figures out which type of archive you are trying to create by the type of project (Java Standard Application - JAR, Java Web Application - WAR, Java Enterprise Application - EAR). |
So how many have submitted solutions, or u r all about arguing about which programming language is best? |
It's been a while I've been on that site, but I saw this: http://www.blackplanet.com/developers/programming_puzzles/ So those of you who may want to work for them, solve the puzzles & send the solutions. Maybe if they like your solution enough, they may offer you a job. |
I always tell people, if u can form a plan (written on paper), follow it through one step after the other, then u can program. Just like a woman writing her chores for the day, and plans the whole thing. Unfortunately actual programming requires creativity (which is a talent), amongst other required personal traits (attention to detail, resilience/perseverance are others). So overall, you require particular list of traits (talent if you will), to be able to program. The modern day programmer has to have a voracious appetite for learning as well (and not just in regard to technological material, but general knowledge just like lawyers are expected to have - domain knowledge of the business of various clients he works with). |
Who did u buy it from? Was it stolen? |
He probably means the Windows 7 theme. The IPSW size of about 228MB indicates a 2G iPhone. Use a download manager to download from here: http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/content.info.apple.com/iPhone/061-6580.20090617.XsP76/iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw |
Anybody been able to figure the SMS hack that forced the 3.0.1 update? And has anybody bothered to update to 3.0.1? |
javaprince:Likewise, I can point it out to you that jdk1.6 and openjdk1.6 are not compilers but development kits which include the compiler. For JDK, it is "javac". |
3G S on UltraSn0w 0.8, no problems sending SMS. Dunno if it's actually the problem you are having though. |
Donseaun, na u say "just don't laugh" u come dey laugh. Anyway me I laugh oh. |
Dude, it seems the conflict is in ur head so u may need 2 get that checked ASAP. You said something, and I felt compelled enough to try it, wasting valuable time (and even thought the reason it didn't work was because I was doing something wrong). Then I speak with guys themselves and get the right picture. WTF r u on? |
Ex Inferis, I confirmed what ever you capture (if possible) for the 3G will be useless for the 3G S. |
Ex Inferis:Yes, but does this not require that the phone's serial is sent to ensure uniqueness? Anyway I tried it on my 3G, and those files weren't created, meaning this only applies to the 3G S. |
I'm not sure this applies to 3G (as in capturing the files for the 3G and using them on the 3G S). I'm yet to get a 3G S. |
"Normally I don't make tools for the general public, and rather wait for the dev team to do it. But guys, whats up with waiting until 3.1? That isn't how the game is played. We release, Apple fixes, we find new holes. It isn't worth waiting because you might have the "last" hole in the iPhone. What last hole, this isn't golf. I'll find a new one next week." - geohot |
sleekdot, Do a search on Google. You will find plenty of free (and even open-source) CRM (Inventory, Sales, Accounts etc) software. They usually have support for POS as well. It seems people don't realize a bar-code scanner is nothing more than an input device similar to a keyboard, so where-ever your keyboard works, so will a bar-code scanner. Even printing is not much complicated. A bar-code can be printed by any standard printer. |
LOL FRN = Federal Republic of Nigeria? |
texazzpete:E tu Pete! ![]() |
I prefer "tweet" (which reminds me of a bird), than "twit" which reminds me of an idiot ![]() |
Ex Inferis, Microsoft released more vaporware than the Dev Team - these being software that were not free! Besides, anybody than jumped the gun and upgraded to 3.0 cannot blame the Dev Team. I had the option myself, but decided not to, until the actual RELEASE of the unlock. 2.2 is still very much OK till then.planetbeing is making good progress as indicated on tweeter. |
Ex Inferis, Hacking sometimes requires a combination which include luck and good-will (help from 3rd parties). I cannot fault the Dev Team, after all these guys all have jobs and other things they do with their time. iPhone haxxing is just a side thing. |
If you mean you completed the jail-break and unlock, and now you don't have any network signal, try restarting the phone. If it still doesn't work, give it some time. It's been known to take a while to find the network after unlocking. |
I don't expect it to "read any network" if you haven't completed the jailbreak/unlock process using RedSn0w. If you really do need to talk on the phone (which I doubt), you can send your number to javaman21133@yahoo.com. |
Doyn1, Download links for BL-3.9 and BL-4.6: http://www.iphone-hacks.com/downloads/bl39.bin http://www.iphone-hacks.com/downloads/bl46.bin Save them in a directory/folder where they can be selected when prompted for them. |
Anybody else following MuscleNerd on twitter? MuscleNerd - "Good news, ultrasn0w is compatible with PIN-locked sims". May mean is might be released today, who knows, |
Lugwun, Stop disseminating wrong info. His phone is 2G, therefore it can be JB'd and unlocked using QuickPwn. Doyn1, Yes you will lose your applications, as they have become obsolete anyway you can say "good riddance". But you can back-up your contacts and even your SMS messages (if you know how). You will need to do a full restore and not upgrade. Trying to upgrade will result in an error that may leave you in dire straits. So if you can't wait for 3.0 as suggested, upgrade to 2.2.1. Ex Inferis, I use iElegance. I believe that's what is tasking the SpringBoard. |
Ex Inferis, 3GS Is it being released @ the same time in the UK as in the US? Doyn1, I believe your problem is your OS (1.1.4). I will be surprised if you can install an apps from AppStore. Solution? Upgrade to 2.2/2.2.1/3.0 as you have been told earlier. |
