Using any flash decomp.ilation method known to you, get the flash file, decomp.ile it and extract the un-water.marked image. You have to explain your method of doing this so it must be by decom.piling flash to get the image or to read image the path.

1. You didn't use a flash decompiler so no deal. You didnt even touch the swf. .

You didnt follow the decompiler rule but not witstanding, i'll forward d domain details to you just for d fun.

Imagine if the thm/thm10/ part of the path had been left out of showprev and sent to the swf file through flashvars? You would have been wasting your time on decompilers for nothing.

the first image there is the head of a boy and it is water.marked. moving your mouse over it displays the un-water.marked image in an swf.

Trying this will make you understand how useless decompilers can be. Dont forget to try the  flashgot + firebug + greasemonkey + firefox = heaven theory.

Some sites cannot be hacked by downloading or decompiling. There's more to programming logic than textbook stuff.

You were able to down.load the mp3 because your idm found a link to it on the site or in a java.script. Just decom.pile the flash i challenged and your years of experience will count. Abi ? Practicalise this whole theory of decom.piling.

Its possible to decom.pile flash that has contents or links in them but what if the flash is empty? It takes more than decom.piling to be a guru. Show your skills with my challenge.

The success of some Nigerian forums like nairaland & co and the zero setup fee of most forums like smf, phpbb etc is a major contributor to this influx of forums.

Those "naija" this and "naija" that forums are just trying to make some quick bucks from traffic by copying the successful Nigerian forum models without really understanding how to make it work and attract people to their forums. Its not entirely a bad idea to copy successful business models but it shouldn't be copied blindly at the expense of creativity and innovation.

Nigeria is an evolving IT goldmine but we need to understand that the early bird gets the worm. Lets think and create new opportunities rather than taking shortcuts that may kill our innovative abilities.

There are severl ways to beat flash decompilers. It depends on how much of flash u've worked with. i've used almost every major decompiler there is for flash and believe me, u wont have to worry about decompilers if u can combine php, javascript and flash well. U cant decompile what u dont have.

If in doubt, try using decompiler for animationfactory.com afterall their real animations/images are displayed inside swf files.

You dont have to embed ur content in swf in the real sense, u store ur content on ur server and send an encrypted link to swf file that processes and dispalys the content stored on your server. has it ever occurred to you that animation factory, fotolia, stock photos e.t.c have the images they sell on their server unprotected?

Its just that the folder path is so clumsy that u cant get it. I know its possible becos i've written crack programs that beat the security of some these sites successfully.

To prevent copying and viewing source, put everything (text, image, etc) you wanna protect into swf (flash file).

To bypass swf catchers in case of desperate ppl, embed a fake swf in ur html and make the fake swf load the real one. You can automate this whole process just as its done on www.animationfactory.com where you can see the unwatermarked animations but cant download them. Its quite simple if u know how to.

Therefore, my desire to enable the user select the location of the batch file or executable to run at boot-up (independent of user log-in), is made far-fetched.

Would this be at install time or run time?
If u want users to select the location of the batch file at install time, then u might consider coding your own simple installer.

If u want users to select the location of the batch file at run time and u want the service to run before login, and you want to enable user interaction after login, this is what i i did for an incoming sms server gateway i worked on:

The app runs as a service before login (as u've tried), after login another instance of the app is started from the start-up folder, this new instance sends a message to the service, the service checks the message and terminates. Now only one instance of the app is running and its ready for user input.

If no user logs in, the service continues running so no problems and if anyone logs in, they can see the gui and interact.

You need mysql odbc connector. You can get it here:

It works fine.

I dont know what it costs to get a shortcode number from MTN, Zain or Glo but what it costs u to setup an application to receive and process and respond to sms/MMS is less that 150k. One time fee and no recurrent monthly subscriptions.

If u can get ur short code urself, then get a simple nokia phone wit cable or bluetooth (and GPRS if u're doing MMS). Get an sms server application and code ur own app to use the server's api. thats all.

We have one in Afrisoft but we use 080,   number because we weren't planning on charging extra for the sms. We worked out other means of billing.

U dont av to have microsoft office license or microsoft word license to use it.
Word does not give u tips and guidelines wen u r creating ur cv

U cant put Word on ur job portal/ job website/blog/email for ur members to create their CVs on ur site and save it straight to ur db.

I can help you with your own SMS 2 way server/gateway but that doesnt help you cos it would use normal GSM No. U'll have to get the short-code yourself.

Search the forum. A guy wanted to sell a short code gateway once. That might be a ready made solution for you.

I had a client once that had this problem.
These guys will start sending scam messages from your box so i give you the following advice:
Mail and SMS everyone you can remember who has ever sent u a message, received a message from you or have their contact in your address book.

There's a way to retrieve your new password from these scammers but i cant say it here incase some scammers are reading this thread. I used it for my client and it worked but its not a guaranteed technique and it can only work while the scammers are still opening your box. It wont work once they are through with it.

I explain the process to yawa, she can then help you retrieve it. I cant go through the process now cos i'm on my way for a conference in Abuja and may not have time till next week. I don't have yawa's email so she might need to mail me on ceo[@]afrisoft[.]org

NB: I wont reveal it to any other person so no one aside yawa should bother mailing me.

you are not alone on this. use google, u might find a quick way out and when u do, do share your solution. If u have backup of your site's files, Now might be the time to use it.

I used the forms (2 to be specific) for online activation of my commercial software.

The form validates your product/registration key from my db (not joomla db) and then gives you an activation code to unlock the shareware. It also integrates with 2 sms APIs to send an sms containing your activation code to ur phone.

It checks the return value upon sending through the first api. if sending fails, it uses the second to send the sms.

i'm not sure i can achieve this with joomla components or modules so i just coded them myself.

I'll try out Community Builder for some other forms i wanna create.

Though i disabled user registration on my site, after reading your post, i realise i left some forms i manually coded into joomla vunerable to code injection _{(How careless?)}. I've tidied that up now and i'll cross check all nitation's points again.

I tried to google the appended code but found nothing on it.

looked like a movie to me.
10pm and i just wanted to check my site stats b4 going to bed.
Pages on my site all displayed blank! like an empty index.html file.
I quickly tried other browsers in case chrome had started messing up, the other four browsers displayed same! I thought it was my host so i typed in url of some of my clients that i hosted on same server, they are all displaying fine.

I don die today! kia, i launch ftp client and begin view my source code. This is what i saw:

I immediately checked my remote backup location for my database backups. the last one was just 5 hours ago. i checked my site logs and my filesystem remote backup location and they were all updated today. Thank God! i wont loose much. I immediately restored filesystem from the file backups and dropped databases and recreated them from the sql backups. My site was up again by 1:27am www.afrisoft.org . Thanks to auto-backup scripts, i would have been sent back in time.

To prevent future occurences like this, can anyone in here tell me how an outsider got to modify my php files? Pls how can i guard against such in the future? is there something i enabled?

U've gotten more than enuf solution but just wanna add some points.

if($_POST['name']=="" could also be written as if(empty($_POST['name'])) or if(!isset($_POST['name']))

you might like to read up "isset()" and "empty()" as you might need them someday when your codes gets kinda complex.

What's the voltage and current output? how much?
