Learn how to spell first - then come back and modify your post. Whenever you are addressing people in a public forum, you should try as much as you can to spell correctly. |

Haha Plot Twist. |
Well said. Very well said. Trying to fight terrorism with soldiers and military 'fanfare' without dealing with the root causes is analogous to taking Panadol because you have a fever caused by malaria. Until you fight the parasite, you're yet to begin. Sadly, very sadly, I don't think Nigeria is ready to begin. |
ceaser:The heart of the whole matter. |
sogodihno:It's not an insult. It wasn't intended as one. My point is: that hospitals are shutdown because doctors are not on strike is not a measure of relevance of whoever is on strike. You said it was. And I mentioned that it is a very shortsighted perspective. Don't you think that there are better indices to measure the relevance of a profession to healthcare of a patient than resorting to taking undue advantage of the sufferings of people to prove the same point? Are the health workers involved going on strike to show who has the biggest muscle? Is it still an insult ? PS: I had to quote you to be sure I'm understood. Life is too short to take things personal. That someone disagrees with your perspective on an internet forum doesn't mean he is e-fighting you. |
sogodihno:If that's all you see, then your mental shortsightedness has a bad prognosis |
Of the world’s seven billion people, 2.5 billion people do not have improved sanitation. 1 billion people still defecate in the open. Women and girls risk rape and abuse because they have no toilet that offers privacy. We cannot accept this situation. Sanitation is a global development priority. This is why the United Nations General Assembly in 2013 designated 19 November as World Toilet Day. Equality and Dignity is the theme of World Toilet Day 2014. The campaign will inspire action to end open defecation and put spotlight on how access to improved sanitation leads to a reduction in assault and violence on women and girls. Having to defecate openly infringes on human safety and dignity. Women and girls risk rape and abuse as they wait until night falls because they lack of access to a toilet that offers privacy. Where toilets do exist, additional inequalities present in usability. Toilets generally remain inadequate for populations with special needs, such as the disabled and elderly, and women and girls requiring facilities to manage menstrual hygiene. Without accessible toilets for these populations, they remain excluded from opportunities to attend school and gain employment. Source: http://www.unwater.org/worldtoiletday

You cannot 'force' someone to have a love-life. Some people are not made for commitments- and out of this people, some are honest enough to admit it. This girl falls into that category. I always maintain that to marry someone, 3 Pre-requisites are necessary: 1) You finding the right person 2) You being ready 3) Your partner being ready. So she's not ready. Both of you are not on the same page. The issue with her friend is simple. Don't forget the golden rule: thou shall not woo two friends at the same time. If you do, you'll never get either one. Know what you want- and make it clear to everybody, her inclusive. |

He's not immortal. |
Benwems:That's your typical Nigerian girl. Never sees anything wrong in their unwise actions and hence doesn't feel there's a need to change. So far as she sees nothing wrong in her attitude, there's nothing you can do. I believe if you must leave the company of someone to another for a discussion which won't be brief, you should tell the person you're with to excuse you and give a hint that the discussion would be long so that he/she knows whether to watch you rant back and forth or do something better with their time. If she doesn't do these, and still not see anything wrong in what she does, she needs psychiatric care. Her judgement is impaired. |
I've received DrHesjay's article. Thanks fam. Will keep you posted. |
