Career › Re: Casual Leave:annual Leave What Is The Difference Please by lonelydora: 10:06am On Dec 19, 2018 |
benedo: Dear all,
One funny law has just recently been made in my office to the effect that, all your casual leave will be deducted from your annual leave, now the impression i have gathered about the casual leave issue is that the Nigerian Labour Law states that you are entitled to five days of casual leave exclusive of your leave in a year.
Does anyone out there have an idea of what the law states on what the general standard should be about issues like this, as i would really like to take this up with the overzealous hr in my office always trying to impresss the whiteys with so called "innovation" Casual leave is 5 days in a year. And it can be taken during emergency situations ONLY IF you have exhausted your Annual leave. Casual leave cannot be taken more than 2 days at a stretch. May differ from organisation to organisation |

Raphael258: A 49-year-old Chinese man was working the night shift at a factory when, without warning, a machine malfunctioned, crushing him under a mechanical arm and impaling him on ten spikes; a certain death, or so his colleagues thought. The porcelain factory worker, known by the surname Zhou, was rushed to hospital in Zhuzhou, southern Hunan Province, last Tuesday by his horrified and desperate colleagues who were powerless to remove the 10 steel spikes which measured 30cm (12 inches) long and 1.5cm (0.6 inches) thick. He was in extreme distress and unable to move his right hand. One spike penetrated just 0.1mm from the man’s subclavian artery and its accompanying vein which, if severed, would almost certainly have killed him.
Of the ten spikes, six of them pierced his right shoulder and chest while the remaining four penetrated his right forearm and wrist. After an initial examination, he was transferred to the Xiangya Hospital of Central South University which specialises in complicated surgery.

Business › Re: Access Bank Acquisition Of Diamond Bank: Nigerians React by lonelydora: 7:06pm On Dec 17, 2018 |
OkaNaUbe:

I banked with then before the days of Intercontinental Bank merger but I abandoned my account at Access bank two years ago. I notice that they charge a lot of monies from that account. Other banks charge "Card Maintenance fee" and transfer/withdrawal charges(if you withdraw more than twice on ATM and transfer charges for transfers) but ACCESS BANK deduct more than that even when I allowed the money in their bank to lie fallow.
At A time, if I saved, say N50k, before two monthe, the money will come down to say, N49100. I complained severally in their branch at Port Harcourt and AbJ but they didn't solve the issue. They charged "monthly card maintenance fee", " Transfer charges", SMS charge (to send me alert o)and other hidden charges every month. I had to withdraw my money and leave the ledger balance of N2000. Even till date, they still send me my monthly balance (e go don't be N0.00). Yeye bank!
I hope they won't bring that policy to Diamond Bank. Same with me. Their Woji Branch in PHC have been calling to come, but i told them i have dashed them the 1k remaining there. I now bank with StanbicIbtc and First Bank. 1st Bank have started getting on my nerves too. |

sexiestharam: Diamond bank always trying to sugarcoat the truth. How is this a merger? This is a complete takeover-an acquisition. All these corporations won't stop amazing me. Why do they think Nigerians are unintelligent and do not understand financial terms? Anyway, defunct Diamond bank staff should get ready. Access bank is known to sack most of the staff of their acquired banks. Intercontinental bank comes to mind. They should brace up. They sacked Intercontinental bank workers |

I am very angry with Peugeot. The 504 models were kings of the road. Why didn't they continue with it just like Mercedes did with G-wagon?
Instead of giving us this plastic 306, 406, 307,etc they should have continued with 504 series.
I will never forget Papa Ebuka's 504 Evolution at the streets of Nsukka back in the days. Nice car |
