I know illiterate Ekpas who consume garbage from Fayose's rump, feeding exclusively on local crap churned out by our local papers aren't aware the countries that support a free palestinian state are far more than those that don't.

They'd come here and regurgitate their hate induced nonsense hoping to score some "likes" from their fellow scoundrels.

The same manner you deny that B. in Nigeria can't be freed, that Referendum is alien to Nigeria, your Two-States solution in the Israeli-Arab problem is also denied by Hamas who refuse that Israel must exist.

Don't expect Israel to agree to statehood to a neighbour who believes that Israel can't exist.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Declares Total Support For Palestinian State by longayink: 7:38pm On Feb 28, 2016
Wait O,
Before President Buhari dispatches Nigeria's Armed Forces to declare war against Israel.

At the UN General Assembly 2015, Buhari supporting a Palestinian State told the Assembly that Self Determination was a legitimate right.

Today Buhari continues to make irrelevant statements on Palestine - statements that carry no weight.

Buhari dreaming about Palestinian statehood that all American Presidents and Secretaries of State have failed to resolve - is busy body Buhari driven by religious sentiments, not by reality

You made this same noise before election and I told you clearly what would happen and it happened exactly as I wrote. Okorocha won in virtually all LGAs except the 3 Mbaise. Conduct another election today and the same thing will still happen. I am the voice of non-partisan masses as can be attested to by anybody close to Okorocha in real life. I've never met him and he cannot even afford to do much for me hence my support is from the heart.
Lol,

No body of repute or of the pen club from Orlu area raised any negative campaign against Okorocha second term election.

Orlu people voted Okorocha for second term with the desire to have Okorocha asphalt these roads his administration abandoned since 2012 here.
He has failed so far to asphalt the roads, instead he builds new roads where no humans live in OWERRI in his anticipation of expansion of OWERRI.

You remember at the beginning, Orlu people asked Okorocha for development projects like pipe borne water, even a public universitiy, his promised Prince Hotel he started similar types in Okigwe and OWERRI, etc. None of these came.

For now what Orlu ask Okorocha is cover the roads he scraped in Orlu with asphalt of any form to avoid human catastrophe. Nothing else.

Fayose alleges that President Buhari has the intention to Islamize Nigeria.

@Abagworo,

You are a Pupil Publicist.

One or two persons from this part of Imo state can make the administration a leper - in just two weeks of negative publicity blitz where it matters most - not on NL.

You ask people to ignore honest opinions at the risk of you people losing out completely.

Truth be told, there isn't enough money to develop ALL of Imo state at the same time.

However, effort should be made to provide water, electricity and motorable roads to all the communities of Imo state.
.
Thank you for your statement that: "Efforts should be made to provide water and mororable roads to all communities in Imo state" - FIRST, before Okorocha's mega city dreams about OWERRI.

Gov. Okorocha can't continue to be building flyovers where a round about could suffice in Owerri, or spend huge sums of money to establish Mass Transit system in OWERRI, while absence of urban drainage continue to make rain flood waters carry houses and humans away in Orlu or elsewhere, while hundreds of thousands of people in Orlu risk lung diseases from dust from abandoned road works.

No, no way. Lagos, Enugu, Port Harcourt etc. didn't sacrifice the lives of their citizens outside the state capital in order to build one single city to compete with other big tourist centres.
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by longayink: 2:34pm On Feb 28, 2016
@Abagworo,

The Deridegulls and others from Owerri who used to call Gov Okorocha a criminal and thief, even without proof here on NL, they are all gone aground since 2013 when Okorocha started to reduce himself to Mayor of OWERRI METROPOLITAN CITY.

Remember OWERRI people in 2012 who called Okorocha a "Clown In Douglas House." The story went viral.
All of them have now gone underground since 2013 when Okorocha reduced himself to Mayor of OWERRI METROPOLITAN CITY;

since Okorocha started to devote money meant by federal government for development of the entire Imo state to develop only the capital city..

Is your principal a big coward?

Imo state Commissioner for works and transport takes delivery of Innoson mass transit buses. Surely anybody who visited last in December that visits this March will be surprised at the rate of development. The liars and critics can continue lying and wailing while the State moves on.
Buses for OWERRI METROPOLITAN CITY Mass Transit - unarguably;

while dust finish up citizens in other part of the state due to abandoned road works.

Because there is hardly any other lgas in Imo outside OWERRI METROPOLITAN CITY where those buses can ply without their axles destroyed after three months.

Gov. Okorocha goes to abroad, sees how regions or states or provinces uniformly develop their territory. Most of building or service landmarks he saw in regional or state or provincial capitals are found in non-state capital towns and cities.
Okorocha returns to Imo state, he uses part of the money made for 27 lgas only for his fancy development projects in his dream city, the state capital.

That's not how to run a state.
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by longayink: 12:21pm On Feb 28, 2016
No mention of the important but only road to IMSUTH Orlu. The IMSUTH road, though an eyesore, was not scratched, so it's NOT as dusty and dangerous as the othef ones scratched with red soil poured on top and abandoned.

A few days ago, I saw two labourers with bare hands and shovels spraying what looked like asphalt on the dusty road branching from Amaigbo Road to Orlu International Market.

Abagworo:
That's the only I know of with extension to ITC. Can you list any other and surprisingly almost all the roads in Orlu town are tarred.

Check out this guy who has been an Okorocha critique without visiting his village. He is from Orlu like you.
The Facebook fellow thanks for a road in his village, Amiri in Oru lga about 15km from Orlu urban lga.

We're talking about scratched and abandoned urban roads in Orlu urban lga in the last four years. They now attract CURSES from tens of thousands of people daily on your principal, Gov. Okorocha.

There are too many of these dusty urban roads in Orlu. They make people crack against Okorocha.
Some of them:
Old Owerri Road.
Road from St. Joseph Catholic church to International Market.
Road from St Joseph Church to former TESAC.
Road from Amaigbo road to Morning Star Girls Secondary school, Orlu.
Amorji Road.

Etc etc.

Okorocha deliberately abandoned Orlu, left it in disarray, in fact in a mess after dualizing Ihioma road, and the very very short stretches of Amaigbo road, Enugu road, Owus and Asika Ilobi Aves.

Okorocha's assault on Orlu hugely subtracts from whatever efforts of Okorocha to paint Owerri a New York overnight.

Pot calling kettle black.

Between NNDC and Okorocha's government, which has more abandoned and non-executed but budgeted for projects in Imo state?

Or does Okorocha want the NDDC money cash so that he will as usual retire to his Owerri to build his fancy and self centred projects that generate little or no jobs for Imo youths?
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by longayink:
Abagworo:
You know there's a big difference between slow project and abandoned project. The road I have personally seen which looks abandoned is the older Owerri Road which cuts through Owerri Eberi and I pray everyday that it should never be done forever. It is useless doing good for an ungrateful person for he can never acknowledge.
Perhaps the ungrateful person or persons is/are the one/ones pointing out the man-made EVIL in Orlu that may start to consume human lives very soon.
If old Owerri road that passes through Owerrebiri is the only abandoned road you saw in Orlu that sends dust into people's lungs in the last four years, then you can lie even to yourself.

But Rochas should remember Orlu. That axis of Imo state is littered with abandon contracts.

Imo will be great again. cool
But Orlu shall survive and rise again after Roch government.
"Ungrateful" according to Gov. Okorocha publicist, Abagworo.

One or two "ungrateful" politicians from Orlu must have made a whole governor of a state inflict untold hardship upon hundreds of thousands of people in Orlu;

inflict untold missery upon people who dared all odds to vote him into office;

hardship lingering for four years till now and may cost many lives in future.

What a great and aspiring politician such a governor is.
Clap for this very intelligent set of people.

Not news.

Buhari said fighting Boko Haram is like fighting the north of Nigeria.

Buhari in 2001 said he would not rest until Sharia criminal laws are applied in all of Nigeria.

Boko Haram stated it clearly and several times that it is fighting for a country (possibly Nigeria ) governed with sharia criminal laws.

One laughs at some ignoramuses who are against some sections of Nigeria seeking to secede from Nigeria, as most of southern Nigerians have been chased away from the north by religious extremism.

Is this Orlu or not? The road, drainage, streetlights and the school which is a replica of the one in Owerri were done by Okorocha .

These pictures were taken by me at Orlu. Check the pictures and tell Nairalanders the truth then pray to God for forgiveness. For those who don't know, these schools are widespread but those who have not gone round believe they exist only in Owerri.
Yes. The same Amaigbo/Ihioma road you show every time.

You don't understand: in Orlu of nearly half a million inhabitants, governor Okorocha dualized this Amaigbo/Ihioma road of about 3km, and three other roads totalling about 2km,

but scraped other township roads totalling more than ten kilometres, poured red sand on top, and abandoned them with dust and debris four years going.

We voted him second term with the hope he shall asphalt these roads so that we don't continue to breathe rubbish.

But nothing. Rather Okorocha retires to Owerri building new schools and roads - even in areas where no humans live.

Is Okorocha a politician at all?

More people in Imo state are from Orlu zone. As he deliberately decided to punish Orlu, even if he painted the whole Owerri with whitewash, more people must call him bad names.

Please are you in any way trying to say road is more important than schools? Like I've always written Okorocha is beyond compare in terms of good governance. He is not just into media hype and flag off/commissioning jamboree.
People have to survive before going to school. And good school buildings can't just be only for the state capital alone, as Okorocha sees it.

For example, people have been talking for four years abouy a particular girls secondary school in Orlu where students walk through bush paths to go to school, because Okorocha contractors destroyed the once pliable road to the school. Why punish the girls there, but build new schools and roads only in the capital? That's not how to govern a state.

How come the governor demolished existing state library in the state capital to build a new one, while there's no state library outside the state capital?

Why build two new stadium-like complexes in the state capital but no stadium exists outside the state capital?

Why Okorocha established new tertiary institutions in the state capital but none exists outside the state capital?

In fact, does Okorocha want every Imo citizen to come to live with him in the state capital?

Nearly half of Imo West remains non.accessible three years because of the damaged portion of Ihialla to Orlu road.

Money used by Okorocha to build these his plain publicity stunts in Owerri is enough to repair the failed portion of Ihialla-Orlu road. Fed govt must reimburse Imo.
Many more Imo people get served if Okorocha repairs the failed road portion.

But no, Rochas the governor who believes he is smarter than every one else.

A governor who believs that Owerri and his publicity projects shall make him president.

The school is not close to a major road.

PoliticsRe: "We Can't Pay Salaries, Imo Is Broke" – Okorocha by longayink: 12:36am On Jan 30, 2016
Abagworo:
Why Igbos are self destructive is because they seem to derive joy in dying for the sins of others even when they have options of minding their business. After the coup of 1966, Igbos saw Nzeogwu as a hero and claimed him fully even more than his Midwestern region. Though Nzeogwu was Igbo by blood, he was politically a Midwesterner like Yorubas in Kogi or Kwara. Till this day my Grandfather has a black and white portrait of him with bandage in his sitting room. The civil war would have been averted had Igbos made it clear they were not in support of the juvenile soldier's action. He and others involved would have been punished while the rest of the country moved on in love.

The same thing was about repeating itself with Jonathan. If not for the availability of social media, personalities like Amaechi and Okorocha and some of us Igbo masses that refute many outrageous comments, there would have been another polgrom and the same people you are dying for will disown you openly and declare for one Nigeria.
Are you not the lonely voice that is on a self-destructive mission, not Igbo population of about 55 million people? Do you ever guard your mind set as you set out to deceive millions of Imo people about the activities of government in Imo state? Do you believe like Okorocha that every body in Imo is foolish except him and you? Beware of how you insult the most forward moving tribe in Nigeria - the Igbo.
One day, Okorocha MUST leave Government House Owerri, all these must then 'be over. You people think Imo people don't know what government is meant to do in a society.

That area Gbenoba is situated is called Idumu Ogala. OGALA himself is an igbo immigrant from Abia State, a farmer. Agbor gave him land to farm, then it was an evil forest. People don't like farming there.

OGALA went back home to bring his brothers, IWEORA and CHUKWUMA to join him.
Today, OGALA, IWEORA and CHUKWUMA children claim to be Agbor. I have many of them as friends.

2. Currently i dont live in Nigeria but i am sure the biggest is "Untouchable" alone Asaba express way or St John's Catholic church opposite TETE street.

3. I dont know town called Obaz and i doubt if it exist. I suggest you ask for the correct name. Agbor have boundaries with Edo State in:-
a. Ali-ifekede along Benin express way,
b. OTTA along Abuja or Uromi road
c. OKI in the interior.
d. Ali-isimie also have boundary with Igbanki, Edo state.
e. Ozanogo or OZARA have boundary with Iru, Edo state.

My love for Okorocha has dwindled greatly. He seems to be spending much on frivolities and media hype. I hope he is not a propaganda governor. Why he spent as much as over six hundred million naira for beautification of Owerri during the last Christmas and new year celebrations still beats me hollow.
.
Could Gov. Okorocha have gone borrowing with high interest rates in his disproportionate rush to make Imo state capital resemble parts of New York overnight?

Governor Okorocha sleeps, dreams and stays awake with Owerri on his mind.

He is obsessed with Owerri.

He has his immense house in Owerri.

He has most of his businesses in Owerri.

His deputy told the media about three months ago that in four years, Okorocha devoted 75% of his development efforts on Owerri.

Giv. Okorocha even pulls down libraries in Owerri to build new ones, while there's no other modern state library outside Owerri throughout Imo state.

He built three stadium-like structures in Owerri while there is no stadium in Imo state outside Owerri.

He established new tertiary institutions in Owerri which already houses all the five universities and polytechnics in Imo state.
.
He is building flyovers for fun in Owerri while flood does incalculable damages in other towns due to absence of drainage systems.

He builds new roads where no body lives in Owerri, in anticipation of expansion of Owerri, while the uncompleted roads he started four years ago in other urban towns have been feeding dust into the lungs of people living near the uncompleted roads.
People have complained to Okorocha about the hazards of long intake of dust, but to no avail.

Jonathan was given power to reform Nigeria as well as restructure the country's failed political structure and governance system.

But Jonathan squandered the opportunity as he rejected National Conference earlier in his presidency, but rolled out a National Conference when it became obvious to him that the set of Nigerians, mostly from the south, who clamoured for political reforms are losing patience with him.

Jonathan must have been raised during the years northern Nigeria military dictators reigned and cowed people like him in his geo-political zone, hence Jonathan stated that his 16 years in government house was like he was in a cage.

He literally refused to campaign for re-election, leaving his supporters like the Fayoses and others in the south east supporting an unwilling president for re-election, unknown to them that they were supporting a candidate that had been cowed to abdicate from the throne.

Alas Jonathan surrendered Nigeria to the group which resents political reforms. That's after Nigerians who clamoured for needed political reforms have lost patience with him.

If the Economist called Jonathan a buffoon, figure out why.

Poor title of article. The Economist did not accuse PMB of worsening Nigeria's economy. They merely criticized the administration's FX and Imports Policy.

They spoke glowingly about his efforts to plug leakages to shore up government revenue. They also credited the expansionary budget aimed at infrastructural development and diversification of government revenue.
Did you truly read the article?

It says industries are folding up in Nigeria.President Buhari is using the economic policies he used in the 1980s today, and that before long, the economy of Nigeria may hit the rocks.
Buhari is banking on borrowing from domestic lenders in his 2016 budgets, fine for the economy but how he gets domestic lenders must be a nightmare.

Buhari is fighting against currencies market to keep the Naira pegged to the Dollar at a fixed rate below N200 to one Dollar, but on High Street parallel market, the rate is at about N300 to the Dollar.

So which of these economic policies of Buhari shall take Nigeria to buoyancy in future?
