Ejimagifty:SHUT UP!!! CR7 has been carrying the team's attack. How many people expected Juventus to get through against ATH after the 2:0 loss in Madrid. Everyone in Turin accepted the comeback was a perfect game. A miracle. No Chiellini. No Mandzukic. Bonucci is a show of himself. No Costa. No Cuadrado. Dybala is out of form. Cancelo is out of form. Moise Kean who Allegri changed in had not started any UCL game all season and did not play throughout the first half of the season. Still, Ronaldo scored both goals. He made two chance plays in the second half alone. And the game ended with a single goal deficit from a corner. If you guys want to troll CR7 and us who are his fans. Go ahead. Na una turn. It's football, not war. But use your brain! This is not remotely the same Juve side that told Messi's Barca team in 2016/2017 that even if they give them 90 extra minutes they wouldn't score a goal. CR7 would be back next year. He's used to the league and the team now. A new coach is coming in the summer. Midfield and defense will be reinforced. No biggie! -Lord |
ominilongest:I think you mean Real Madrid. They did not miss each other. RM was complete nonsense this year, CR7+Messi+Neymar for no change their season. Juventus luck na say Italian teams dey defense-centric. If you place them in English, Spanish, even French league (I mean this year) where end to end game is the norm; they'd struggle to qualify for champions league. Juventus needs a new orientation. The Allegri era is over. Even if they sign Mbappe, De Bruyne and a WC CB, they'd still play like a Division 2 team under Allegri. -Lord |
PythonAmaka:Continue trolling. Na una turn! I'd have done the same if Juve went through and Barca didn't. No hard feelings. Na Messi get Ballon D'Or this year, except Man City wins the CL. Next year, we try again. -Lord |
guywitzerogal:They got their money's worth. Take away CR7's goals and they'd have been out since RO16. Most of you fuming here don't watch Juve's matches in the league. The point gap is flattering. Juventus has played only two good games all season. MU first leg. And ATH second leg. All other games have been a sh*tshow. This year, Juventus has been abject. Watching them play even against mid table teams is like watching paint dry. Hopefully Allegri gets the sack. He has done his best for the club, but he can't offer anything better. -Lord |
COOL10:Stop typing nonsense. What do you mean by doing well? Juventus have been scrapping by in UCL heavily relying on defensive solidity to go through. This year, their defense has been crap. Bonucci is a shadow of his former self. Benatia and Barzagli don't make the bench even. And in the two legs of this tie Chiellini didn't start. This tie ended 3:2 in favor of Ajax. Ronaldo scored both Juventus goals. Juve were unlucky for the first two Ajax goals. And let's not talk about Dybala. 25+ goals last year, less than 10 this year. Mandzukic not available. Costa, not available. CR7 carried the attack on his shoulder and if the defense was vintage Juve, they'd have held their own. So unless you follow Juventus throughout this season, shut your trap! -Lord |
usbcable:Yes. I suppose it's at the Metropolitano (ATM stadium). I didn't expect Barca to go out to Lyon at the Camp Nou. It's a common theme in the last 3 years. Messi performs in the RO16 (remember Chelsea), then disappears in the QF; so it'd be interesting to see if they can break the QF curse. That said, I have high hopes for Zidane. I don't think our current roster is as bad as it's been made out to be. We've got a healthy mixture of experience and youth, and with the right strike force and game plan we can pick ourselves up next year. Still, it's easier said than done. -Lord |
100 million! MTSCHEEWWW!!! GOAT! -Lord |
GOAT! -Lord |
@Miremoses1, usbcable; this is it. Now all that matters is who's bought and sold in the summer. That's all that matters. Zidane make sure you squeeze tight on that old man's scrotum. Welcome back black magic! -Lord |
Miremoses1:That chant plus Solari's refusal to resign is music to my ears. Some perez stans are saying the old man will go all out this summer. I'm not convinced. Nothing he does will surprise me. #PerezOut -Lord |
monerozi5590:#PerezOut! Make I open gate for all the cules for the all-night party. @femiti na u hold key. Give @miremoses when party finish. -Lord |
theoneJabulani:Point difference in 2014/2015 was 2 Point difference in 2015/2016 was 1 So I don't know why I should even spend any more time replying you. Here's the bottom line. Ronaldo was ageing, he didn't play CdR games anymore, and played only half the number of games in the league. We were already talking about a post-Ronaldo / post-galactico future and had already started making plans. It was supposed to be gradual as CR7 still had 2 or 3 good years left. Remember that Vicinius was not meant to break into the first team this year. Benzema's replacement was long overdue. Yet with all of that, the silly old man let CR7 go and did not buy a decent striker. Instead he went to get Mariano, while Benz and injury-prone Bale led the attack; now he's talking about Brahim. That's not a mistake or a gamble, it is f**lishness. If it wasn't for Zidane and CR7, our last 5 years would have been a complete sh*tshow. Perez is out of his depth; and until he makes way I don't give a sh*t what happens to the club. I strongly detest him, not because of CR7, but for his never-ending pile of bad decisions. For example, Santi Solari is not a terrible coach. But because he isn't getting any results even though he's fielding a toothless attack relying on an 18-yr old youngster in his first year in Spain, he's already talking about replacing him with a Mourinho who is infamous for not being strong on building young talent. Same young talent he's betting the entire club's future on. That guy should be in a hospice not running the biggest club in the world. Buy WC players, he'd say no money; okay buy youngsters and hire a coach for the long-term to develop them; he'd say no patience because you have an ageing, has-been group of former achievers who are way past their best before date. What the f*ck does he want? In what planet does he think Benzema can lead an attack to win a treble? In what planet does he think Bale can carry RM on his shoulder single handedly? In what planet does he think youngsters would just slip into the all-white shirt and start winning trophies immediately? Perez is just as delusional as the so-called "real" madridistas who have a brown nose from kissing his a$$ too many times. -Lord |
andrew444:Because they don't want to go trophyless in a season where Barca might potentially win the treble. -Lord |
andrew444:Juventus fans are like other big club fans'. They want to win everything every year. Can't blame them. If Barca crashes out in the QF again, Barca fans will not remember winning the domestic double two years in a row. If Solari doesn't win the UCL, he'd be shown the door even though little about the underperformance is his fault. Juventus has been leaking goals like Madrid, having no shots on target with the best goal scorer in the history of the game leading the attack, and having their hearts in their mouths trying to defend a one goal lead against teams that are far more inferior to them. At a point, it is safe to say, we're tired. Let's have a change of scenery. -Lord |
andrew444:I said 2 of the best. I did not say the 2 best. -Lord |
lilbest4:Are you done? I was expecting you to tell me how Allegri's Juve is playing amazing Pep-level football and CR7 is not able to score because he's washed up. Dude is the highest goal scorer and top assister in the team. Who is spoon feeding who? All these Perez fans with myopia. At least Juve are not ending the season trophyless, they've still got Ronaldo, and they have the option to get a new coach. Madrid right now looks like it needs to torn down completely and built up again from the scratch which means no trophies for at least the next 2 years. -Lord |
andrew444:I'm not writing them off, but I'm not expecting them to start playing fluid, attractive football suddenly in March when they haven't done so all season long against any decent opposition. That's like the Man U board expecting Mourinho to change until they gave him the boot. Ronaldo would have to pull a Wolfsburg and Dybala+Chiellini would have to pull a Barca for them to advance. Anything other than that and #AllegriOut would start trending immediately the final whistle is blown. -Lord |
andrew444:Una sef know say the Barca team no gel. Imagine if Messi showed up in both recent classicos, the scoreline for give Perez cardiac arrest. Barca no join again na. At CR7's peak, na 1 point, 2 points nai Barca dey tk win league; now in March difference na 12 points. Even as bad as last year, Barca had to almost go unbeaten to justify the huge points gap. This year, you guys are losing and drawing matches, yet the point gap is widening. And you sef know say CR7 stopped Barca from winning Madrid many times. Juventus will always win the league, but not with 16 points gap in March. Last year, they almost lost it to Napoli. Juventus has been breaking league records since CR7 joined. The thing is that it was supposed to reflect in Europe as well, but it hasn't, not necessarily because of players but because of playing style. -Lord |
Corrosiveman:I don't have the time to debate with you. Simply watch Juventus next league match. I'd give you the latest instance where CR7 had to shout at Allegri in their last derby against Napoli. Half time they were 2 up away and 16 points up. Rather than use the remaining 45 minutes to slaughter Napoli, they sat back invited pressure, conceded a goal, got lucky with a penalty miss; and at 2:1, Ronaldo found that he was the only one pressing while all the other players were just sitting back waiting for the clock to count down. Ronaldo gestured to his teammates and then turned to Allegri and shouted "Mister!" The greatest player to ever play the game does not need to be spoon fed, just don't play like all you have to do is turn up and voila you've won the match. Go to all the Juventini sites, Allegri's time is up. There's no justification for not being able to blow away relegation teams when you have a front 5 choice of CR7, Dybala, Mandzukic, Costa, and Fede. Even if a mid of Pjanic, Bentacur, Khedira, Can, and Matuidi is not the best in Europe, it is still good enough to outplay every Italian team, yet every league match is a struggle. Even if you have a sh*t midfield, boycott the midfield like Enrique did with Barca in 2015. He had an ageing midfield, so he skipped them and made the gameplan all about the MSN and the wing backs. Bonucci is an amazing ball distributor, Cancelo and Sandro are two of the best wing backs in Europe at the moment. Dybala, CR7, and Mandzukic are a terrifying front 3; and Costa is the ideal super sub. Seriously, give Pocc this same Juventus team and they'll run rampage. Not sit back, no passing triangles, can't even withstand a press. How do you win games when it takes 4 passes to move the ball from one wing to the other. As for Madrid, even when CR7 was around, everyone knew we needed an efficient striker. We were always complaining about Benzema's misses and how he was the reason CR7 and other Madrid players had fewer assists. So you can imagine my disgust when CR7 was sold and Perez still chose to keep Benzema as the top 9. That's not just arrogance, it's stupidity. If Madrid needed a striker even when CR7 was around, how do we not need a WC striker when CR7 is not around. -Lord |
lilbest4:Ronaldo does not miss Real players' spoonfeeding. Juventus under Allegri do not play attacking football. If Zidane, Pep, even Klopp takes charge of this same Juve team, results will be different. Even at that in the league, they're leading with 16 points after going down to the wire last year. Oh and about the UCL, it's also the first year Ronaldo had a red card. And btw in his first year at Madrid, he also crashed out in the RO16 by Lyon with a star-studded side behind him. Mourinho replaced Pellegrini and the CR7-Madrid-UCL love story started. You know what I love about Perez fans, it's the delusion. Start of the year, Benz, Bale, Asensio, and Isco were going to step up and pitch in with goals. You guys were going to win the treble with young talent and thanks to a roster of 8 Balon D'Or nominees. Now it is that your football pops wants to overhaul the team. Same sh*t he'd been promising since 2016. With what btw? Youngsters from South America. Yet he's changing coaches like diapers while expecting young talent to give immediate success. The season is about to end trophyless with 12 points behind the sh*ttiest Barca team in forever, yet Ronaldo who already has a league trophy in the bag since December is somehow the rallying point. Bunch of jokers. -Lord |
usbcable:Why bother yourself about what to say. Na siddon look mode I dey. Let the so-called "experts" run the club as they deem fit. If they like they buy WC players during the summer. If they like they keep Benz as the main striker until he's 40. Na their problem be that. -Lord |
Olamyyde:At least he downgraded from RM to Juventus. Moreover, he has gone to Juventus to win the UCL. And Maradona went to Napoli because his fight with Bilbao players right under the nose of the Spanish King made him a pariah amongst top clubs in Europe, else he like R9, Ronaldinho, Zidane and Ronaldo would have gone to a big name Italian club. Messi should downgrade as well. No one is asking him to go to Everton or Lille. If he likes tho' he can go and try to be like Maradona to make a point. Your MCM can't step out of his comfort zone for 18 years, and you have the chutzpah to decide where another GOAT contender should go for a challenge. You guys should check the calendar, it's no longer 2011. The Messi bandwagon has steered off the road. -Lord |
If he says otherwise, he'd lose his job. Until Messi retires, Messi is Barca, Barca is Messi. Putin be taking cues from Messi on how to be a strongman. -Lord |
randomperson:Oga did Maradona and Cryuff spend 18 years at the club? randomperson: "90 percent of players whether good, bad, and ugly transfer from [one] club to another." randomperson: Legends transferring from one club to another "is not a f*cking tradition." It is always a good idea to proofread your post before hitting submit. It'd stop you from contradicting yourself in an embarrassing fashion. In any case, I don tok finish. The way I see it you can't continue this discussion without making gaffes. It's not your fault you don't have a good defense. Argument for the sake of it is just needless time wasting. Au revoir... -Lord |
randomperson:Oga, I used the word "maybe." Comprehension shouldn't be difficult for you. Dude has been at Barca for 18 years. 18 years pikin don dey Uni. He could have left anytime in the last 6 years and EVERYONE at Barca would have understood why. It'd hurt, but most wouldn't hold it against him. Messi is a generational talent, he would have graduated into any European first team at "a very young age." Luckily for him, it was Barca, the best club for his specific abilities. Do you know how rare it is for a generational talent to leave his home country at 12 and go to the best club on the planet for his abilities? It's like Ronaldo leaving Portugal at 12 and heading directly to Castilla (Real Madrid). Messi has paid his dues at Barcelona. Ronaldo didn't even do half of what Messi has done for Barcelona at Manchester United, yet every away game for Ronaldo at Old Trafford is like a lunar eclipse. Anyway I don yarn finish with you. Make I carry my load go wia I 4 come from. ClintonNzedimma:Mk una no quickly forget say na Messi fanbase dey always go on the attack before. Just one page when Pele and CR7 (and Ballon D'Or ) open on top Messi chapter, una start dey fidget like who epilepsy do. So if Pele b dey target Messi steady like he b dey mark Maradona for over 2 decades, how e for b?Anyway una don dey acclimatize to the whole idea of GOAT contenders must always find something to tok... Una don dey mature. Good for una. CR7 fans have been dealing with this since 2009, even 2007 join sef. E no get wetin anybody fit tok wen dey touch us again. As for replying critics on the field, why do you think Blatter apologized to CR7? I doubt say any Messi performance fit make Pele apologize sha, dude strong head too much. -Lord |
9itewolf:That 1 na ICANN question for Messi to answer. As I've repeatedly said, mk una no dey reason diz guys comments. Pele say Messi get only 1 foot, all Messi YouTube channels start dey do compilation of goals wen Messi don score with right leg. Like are you guys that insecure. Pele in 2012, Messi better than Ronaldo: Messi fans; YAAASSS! Pele in 2014 n 2017, Ronaldo better than Messi: CR7 fans; MTSCHEEEWWW! Pele in 2018, Messi a one-trick player: Messi fans; Pele is a FRAUD! Una go react tire sha, because everybody don c Messi fans finish. -Lord |
randomperson:Oga Barcelona was always a big team before Messi. It'd remain a big team after Messi retires. Maradona, Cryuff, R9, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo all played for Barcelona before Messi. The first four of those names are in the top 10 best footballers in history and were the best of their respective generations. I don't think it's fair to Barcelona's history to say Messi increased the profile of the club. Sure he'd lead the Barca legend chart for a very long time but this is no Maradona "Napoli" profile increase. Messi would make history in any club, or at least that's what his talent suggests. Staying in Barcelona throughout his career is not wrong and I'm sure no one in Catalonia is complaining, but that's simply not what legends who ascribe to the GOAT status do. It's not just about Ronaldo, it's about virtually every other legend who ascribed to GOAT status, from the other usual 3 suspects to other names from Zidane to even Van Basten (who played for only two big teams btw). You guys should stop reacting as though this is not a tradition in football. -Lord |
randomperson:Typical Barca fan. Call what you disagree with trash, then proceed to type a missive that's way worse. Pele in his heydays was not allowed to play for a foreign team by the Brazilian government. Maradona was at his peak at Napoli and took them to their first ever Italian title. That's why Southern Italians will forever regard him as the GOAT. In spite of being a midfielder who didn't score much, it was Hamsik who recently broke his goalscoring record in 2017. CR7 has the most goals and assists at Juventus. And he left for Juventus to win the UCL, that's the yardstick by which his stay will be measured. Not winning a domestic double, not even getting to the UCL final, but winning it. That's the challenge. A damn impossible one at 33 fresh off a B2B2B UCL win. Compared to these three GOATs, you have Messi staying in Barca when at least one team in each of the top 5 leagues can afford him, through perhaps the best period of Barcelona's history for over 18 years, and you expect everyone to whistle by like he simply can't do more. Messi + current Napoli team + Ancelotti will give Juventus a run for their money in the league. Messi + any current top 4 English team + Any coach not named Mourinho will mount a formidable challenge for the UCL. In fact, Messi + any top European team + any decent coach can theoretically win a treble. He has the ability. Everyone knows that. Dude just wants it easy maybe due to his reserved lifestyle; not everyone is a fan of that. You guys can keep making excuses for him or engaging in humorless whataboutism, but the "what if" question will never go away. -Lord |
Taguchi:All these comments mean nothing. Na una dey carry am 4 head like gala. They're only marketing themselves. Pele still makes a rumored 30m per year. Maradona was paid 10,000 pounds per day by FIFA to be at the 2018 World Cup. CR7 has repeatedly said after he retires, he'd still use his celebrity status to push his businesses. All na hustlin'. Messi na clickbait. If Trump was in football, them go still use am get newspaper headlines. -Lord |
Sommyroy10:The point is that of all the 4 GOAT contenders, he's the only one to have played in one team all his life. If he was just an average exciting player, no one would give a sh*t. To whom much is given, much is expected. Messi could play blindfolded in Barca and still win the Pichichi and at least one trophy. That's why it's funny when you guys complain that the football world no longer recognizes Messi's genius because of his consistency. Dude is compared to Pele, Maradona, and CR7. What he's doing is what's expected of a legend of his status that has played in the same team since he was 13. Dude should do more based on his status. Messi is not competing with Griezmann, Hazard, Salah, Neymar, Modric who'd be forgotten in 10 years time. Dude is competing against legends with eternal GOAT status. I'm very sure if Maradona, Pele, CR7, R9, Cryuff, or Zidane played in the same Argentina team Messi played in, either of them would have at least one International trophy. If they played in the same Barcelona team for the same time period, they'd have as many trophies. There's nothing wrong in staying at one club. But Messi is not just any player. If that's what he wants to do though, as CR7 said we all respect it. But don't make it seem like the request is ridiculous. -Lord |

Ronaldo came in just in time to help them win the 8th league title in a row. What would Juve have done if not for Ronaldo
