Very unprofessional from the cbp officer. But it is even more obvious that these officers read these threads. Having a baby in the US is not illegal but ONLY because the US Congress has not explicitly outlawed it.

My guess is you will have a very difficult time renewing your visa. I’d be less worried what the officer said as much as what she wrote. The next VO who interviews you will see that. Chances that you will be able to get your visa renewed through dropbox are close to nil.

No, they didn't stamp my passport...I have some travel history though, I just thought the USA refusal could affect my chances...but after reading this thread, i found out its not a criteria because I have all required documents (CAC for my hotel, Personal income taX clearance, LIRS certificate for the company, 2 houses and 2 acres of land in Lagos, account balance of 1.3million)...but as it stands, i will have to cancel the appointment and do another one immediately...but i dont know how long the refund will take...Thanks all the way bro

Lucky you, having to pay only $1000 out of pocket, I wish I had insurance cos I heard the monthly fee is next to nothing for residents in the US but since i don’t have US insurance, I need to do the needful and pay the bill that was quoted to me by the service providers. If we continue to do the right thing as Nigerians, the outside world will begin to see that not every Nigerian is a fraudster. Little drops make the mighty ocean. Something I noticed in the US is that, a lot of people are in debt, I love that their insurance system works efficiently for the insured. It’s actually easier to pay $1000 out of pocket, [/b]not many people in the US can pay $8600 out of pocket[b].

Please what will i put in the "country deported form" My daughter has NEVER been deported from any country as shes just 2years and weve travelled to the state twice. SO wondering why that section pops up.

I have travelled to the UK 5 times, previously. I used to go annually, never spend more than a month, changed jobs and went last in 2014. I stay with the same person each time I travel (my cousin). Presently, I earn significantly lower but I still want to go on vacation, this year.

What I'm hinging on is my good travel history to the UK. I always apply for 6 months visa because that's all I need to travel each time. Sadly, this time around, you're not allowed to include previous passport; I didn't know this until submission. I learnt I was to have made copies and attached.

My questions are:
- What are my chances being that almost all other things are against me?
- Would they be able to access my previous visits or should I scan my old passport and send to them?

Hello Lordcrixus. We encourage applicants to speak in English at the interview if at all possible. If she requires a translator, she can request one at the window.

We do have translators in both Abuja and in Lagos who speak the most common languages in Nigeria. We prefer to use our own translators so that we can be confident that the applicant is answering the questions and not the translator, and so we can be confident that the translation is happening correctly.

My sister who is a us citizen just gave birth and she wants our older sister to come over to assist her in nursing the child, as she would be back to work in the next four or five weeks.
Our sister is a widower, 52 yrs, does buying and selling, she's never travelled, no bank account as she would be sponsored. What are her chances of securing the visa as she intends to stay for 4 months.
