Did you show a breakdown of how you want to spend the 1.1M naira with proof ? like cost of air ticket (dummy booking with cost), hotel booking (also with cost), budget for transport, feeding and miscellaneous If you did all these and you are sure that the info you gave about your monthly salary is correct and can be backed up in your statement of account (as the officer did not complain about your bank statement), then your can apply for appeal on the claim that there was an error from the visa officer 4 Likes |

flamxy682:F4 takes about 16 years presently, so you will need to wait. first the petition would have to be approved by USCIS and sent to NVC before you can begin to discuss DQ. At case received, it means your petition is yet to be approved. |

TYglobal:Yes, my daughters passport were not marked issued before my wife collected them, both were still marked in production. The tracker was marked issued after the passports were collected. If you have captured before October 1st, your passport is surely ready, go and pick it up. If the officers tell you that it is not ready, request to see the PCO. 1 Like |

DIY still works, the officers are bent to scuttle the whole process but they will not succeed. After successfully renewing my passport DIY at ikoyi passport office in November 2021 and it came out in two weeks, I have vowed not to use agent for any government agency again. This year I did my drivers license renewal and that of my wife myself and we paid the exact fee on-line without stress. This same year I took my two daughters and my sister to Alausa for passport renewal (DIY), and all three passports have been collected and were issued in two month. If you have captured before October, your passport is definitely ready, go and collect it. 7 Likes |

Ray26:Did your brother book the ticket directly from the airline? If yes, you/he need to call the airline customer care service and get a rebooking. If through agent, then you can contact the agent you bought the ticket from. Sometimes when a plane is overbooked, the airline usually plunge out passengers from agent especially does with low booking fee. |

jesufifunmi:Hello Jesufifunmi, You do not need to cancel the application because of the date, the visa will be issued close to your proposed date of entry (one or two weeks before the date). As in your stated example, the visa will be issued one or two weeks before January 1st. Even the home office usually advice visa applicants to apply ahead of their travel date. FNRF:If the father truly wants the child to travel with the mother, he should provide a court attested letter of sole custodianship of the child to the mother. Though this is very dicey and precarious as the mother may use this in the future against the father not to see the child, but this is what UKVI wants to see in order to issue the child's visa. |

Kalclinton:Go to the Immigration office where you had your biometrics with the letter from IRCC, request to see the PCO and show the PCO the letter. Let the PCO know you have a deadline to meet, he/she will help you. Or go to servicom at the same office and show them the letter, it almost usually help. |

Hi Everyone, Is it possible for me to cancel my current appointment and use same receipt for the interview waiver? I qualify for the interview waiver. My current interview appointment is Jan 9th 2024, i think it is too far, and it was booked before the introduction of the interview waiver Program. I look forward to response from anyone who has done this and it worked, or any input from anyone with experience on this. Thanks. |

Oceandrive:If your kids were born after he acquired British citizenship, then they are automatically citizens. Their father just need to push their documentation and get them the British passport. Lordcrixus:update I visited Ikoyi office today being the 6th week after biometrics. I checked the status of my passport renewal, it was ready since 19/11/2021(two weeks after biometrics) I am waiting to collect the passport now. It is strictly DIY application. This is my fourth passport and this is the first time I will pay the exact amount to obtain one. The officers bullied me at every office when I wanted to sign my file, but I stood my ground. My advice is that DIY works and even the officers that promise you two weeks will go through same method , just renew ur passport ahead of expiry date. 3 Likes |
